Bastille Tour 2024
Bastille tour 2024 announced : And if you close your eyes... Bastille will be back on tour. Well, please open them, because a handful of the 2022 tour dates are here. The British band led by the talented Dan Smith will release their new album Give Me The Future on February 4 and, if all goes well with you-know-what, will take their fourth studio LP to North America this summer. The tour will include stops at Terminal 5 in New York (June 7), Roadrunner in Boston (June 8) and College Street Music Hall in New Haven (June 15).
Last week, Bastille released the latest single from the album, an incandescent alt-pop bop titled "Shut Off The Lights". It has a tropical touch that brings it back to the indie-pop sound of ten years ago. And there’s a sexy saxophone in it.
The general Bastille 2024 tickets sale will take place on Friday (January 21) at 10:00 local time, but presale starts this morning.

Bastille have officially embarked on their Doom Days North American tour!
The tour comes in support of their third studio album of the same name, which was released back in June.
The Doom Days Tour kicked off last night (September 16) at The Met in Philadelphia and is scheduled to hit up cities throughout North America like Detroit, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles and Austin before wrapping up October 27 at Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami.
Doom Days marks the band’s first new music since 2016’s Wild World, and features singles “Quarter Past Midnight,” “Doom Days,” “Joy” and “Those Nights.”
Fueled by post-Brexit shock and social media addiction, the British four piece – which consists of members Dan Smith (vocals), Kyle Simmons (keys), Will Farguarson (bass, guitar) and Chris “Woody” Wood (drums) – says they drew inspiration from books like Dorian Gray and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas during the writing process.
“We looked to the ’90s, which was before our time, but was pre-social media and smartphones," Smith explained .
"...Where people had experiences that happened once and went away because everything wasn’t being filmed on camera phones, Tweeted and Instagrammed.”
On the tour’s opening night, Bastille treated fans to a heavy dose of Doom Days.
After kicking things off with “Quarter Past Midnight,” they played “Another Place,” “Bad Decisions,” “Joy,” “Doom Days,” “The Waves” and “Those Nights.”
Other highlights included Bad Blood songs like “Flaws, Laura Palmer,” “Of the Night” and “Things We Lost in the Fire” as well as Wild World tracks “Blame,” “Send Them Off!” and “Warmth.”
The band, of course, played their popular collab with EDM artist Marshmello, “Happier,” and closed out the show with an encore of "Pompeii."
Check out the full setlist and some fan videos from the performance below!
Bastille continue their trek tonight (September 17) at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion in Boston.

Bastille Unveil Tour Dates With This Legendary '80s Band
By Katrina Nattress
February 9, 2023
Bastille has always added an '80s aesthetic to their sound, so it only makes sense for them to support a band from that era on tour. And that's exactly what they're doing.
On Wednesday (February 8), the electro-pop outfit revealed they were hitting the road with Duran Duran . Nile Rodgers and Chic will also be opening on all tour dates.
“It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones, and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers,” Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon said in a statement. “We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis, and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago.”
It is unclear if guitarist Andy Taylor , who's currently being treated for Stage IV prostate cancer , will be joining the band on tour. See a full list of dates below.

Give Me The Future Tour
Support: Alice Merton
8:00 PM / Doors Open @ 6:30 PM
PASO ROBLES, CA – JANUARY 14, 2022 – Today, Bastille drops their latest single “Shut Off The Lights” from their fourth studio album Give Me The Future out February 4th —listen to “Shut Off The Lights” HERE . To celebrate the upcoming album, today, Bastille announces their 2022 US tour dates as part of their upcoming “Give Me The Future Tour.” The US leg kicks off on May 14th in Memphis, TN and will include a stop at Vina Robles Amphitheatre , May 21 , as well as stops in Los Angeles, New York, more—see the full list of tour dates below. Tickets will be available via pre-sale starting on Tuesday, January 18th and via general on-sale on Friday, January 21st at 10AM local time at https://www.bastillebastille.com/ . Tickets for Vina Robles Amphitheatre, are available via Ticketmaster .
No matter what limitless opportunities for escape modern technology presents us with, there’s nothing quite like real, human connection. On new single “Shut Off The Lights,” Bastille pulls themselves out of the metaverse to rediscover the joys of real life surrounded by loved ones.
“Shut Of The Lights” is set to a gleaming guitar melody and infectious beat, embracing 80’s influences whilst maintaining the catchy, euphoric alt-pop brilliance that’s made Bastille one of Britain’s biggest bands. The future festival anthem offers a different perspective to much of Give Me The Future, instead asking us to step away from our screens and the escapism offered online and join in with what’s unfolding in front of us now – “Shut off the lights, you don’t need them to dance.”
Dan Smith says, “‘Shut Off The Lights’ is about being pulled out of your future-fearing anxieties by the person you’re lying next to. It’s about intimacy and physical connection, rejecting our worries about life and the future for a minute, and unplugging from it all to really be present. It’s a fun, real, human moment in the middle of this big album. But also, it’s a song that nods back to Paul Simon’s Graceland and a load of music we love. It made us want to dance around the studio and is ridiculously fun to play live.”
Laced with references to sci-fi films and literature, video games and VR, Bastille’s new album Give Me The Future explores a futuristic wonderland free from restrictions – each song a different danceable dreamscape, a place where you can travel back and forward in time to be anyone, do anything, and embrace a new wave of technology, which enables us to get lost inside our imagination.
It’s a record that takes the idea of the limitless possibilities of the future and journeys everywhere from a joyride of escapism on the uplifting “Thelma + Louise” – a tribute to the iconic feminist film on its 20th anniversary – to 80’s New York with the artist Keith Haring on the bright and whistling “Club 57” to a hospital bed in Australia for the devastating but hopeful “No Bad Days.” You’ll hear disco basslines, orchestras of synths, guitars, futuristic gospel, spaceship sounds, euphoric strings, vocoders, talk boxes, a choir of roadies, and host of beats. The title track “Give Me The Future” tips its hat to Phil Collins and The Police, “Shut Off The Lights” is a sonic love letter to Paul Simon’s Graceland, and “Stay Awake” nods to Daft Punk and Quincy Jones.
To celebrate the release of Give Me The Future out on February 4th, Bastille will perform a series of intimate outdoor shows across the UK, in partnership with the UK’s independent record stores. Then in April, the band will return to arenas for the first leg of their Give Me The Future Tour (with many dates already sold out) before heading out to the US for dates in May and June.
Having thrown themselves into co-writing for other artists in recent years, for the first time ever on a Bastille album, the band inched open the door to collaborators. Although primarily produced by Dan Smith and long-term production partner Mark Crew , the band also worked with a handful of writers and producers to expand the world. “Distorted Light Beam” was co-written and produced with Ryan Tedder (Adele, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift), who also helped as a sounding board and executive producer for the album. “Thelma + Louise,” “Stay Awake,” and “Back To The Future” were co-written with legendary songwriter Rami Yacoub (Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time”, Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Album). They also worked with British writers Jonny Coffer, Plested , and Dan Priddy to bring the album to life.
You’ll also hear the voice of award-winning actor, musician, writer, creator, producer, director, and activist Riz Ahmed on a spell-binding and evocative spoken word piece called “Promises.” Riz’s piece was a response the album and brings its overarching themes into sharp focus.
Over the course of their previous three albums, Bastille have cemented a reputation for building whole worlds around their releases, often doing so with innovative, award-winning creativity. Give Me The Future is no different, this time accompanied by a fictional, but familiar, tech giant called Future Inc., the creators of an invention called “Futurescape” —a device which allows users to live out their dreams virtually. It’s weaved through every element of the campaign and can be seen in the videos for the previous singles— “Distorted Light Beam,” “Thelma & Louise,” and “No Bad Days.” Watch Bastille talk about the inspiration behind Future Inc. Outdoor ABOUT BASTILLE: The four-piece has been experimenting and augmenting the Bastille sound since the release of their last album Doom Days in 2019, the conclusion of an unofficial trilogy. Last year, they released the Goosebumps EP , featuring Graham Coxon on “WHAT YOU GONNA DO???” and producer Kenny Beats on the title track , as they continued to pen songs that seek to understand and offer escape from the modern human condition. Doom Days received huge critical acclaim and charted in the Top 5 in both the U.K. and U.S., the only U.K. band to have achieved this chart landmark alongside The Beatles and Queen in 2019. The record found the band at their most lyrically provocative, most accomplished, and most vital and charts the course of one night in search of distraction from the surrounding apocalypse (sound familiar?) . During the course of 2019, the four-piece continued to cement their reputation as one of the world ’ s most captivating live bands, having played an extensive two month-long sold-out U.S. and U.K. tour. At the beginning of 2020, Bastille received their sixth Brit nomination and their second nomination for British Group. In January 2021, Bastille was the subject of ReOrchestrated , a documentary film that provided a revelatory and bracingly honest new look into the band’s journey so far, framed through their ReOrchestrated shows and diving into themes of motivation, anxiety, and imposter syndrome. With over 11 million records sold, 6 U.K. Top 40 singles, and 1.5 billion video views, Bastille continues to be one of the world ’ s most streamed bands. Bastille released their fourth album ‘ Give Me The Future ’ back in February, while an expanded edition was released in August.
The album came alongside a “surreal, otherworldly” digital experience that saw the band perform in front of both a real-world audience and a virtual crowd.
“We’ve always been fascinated by that tension between the desire to escape your life and the reality of having to confront things, vocalist Dan Smith told NME . “Escapism can be this amazing, transportive tool that allows you to get out of your own head and be someone else but ultimately, is it realistic enough? In the long term, is it healthy?”
Smith also revealed that he wanted to soundtrack the sequel to Red Dead Redemption 2 .
“ I want to make an epic score for Red Dead Redemption 3 ,” he told NME . “I think that’d be really fun – getting to knock about on a horse in the Wild West with some great music banging in the background.”

Bastille have announced a string of UK and European arena dates for 2022, in support of their recently announced fourth album .
The band revealed details of new record, Give Me The Future , last week, set to arrive on February 4, 2022 and described as “a tribute to humanity in a tech age” that “reflects on the strangeness of living through times that can feel like science fiction.”
Give Me The Future has been trailed by recent singles “Bad Days”, “Distorted Light Beam”, “Thelma + Louise” and the album’s title track.
“Working on these songs in such an apocalyptic period, with everyone stuck at home, glued to screens, fed into the feeling that what is real and what is not has become pretty difficult to discern sometimes,” frontman Dan Smith said of the new record in a press release.
“We’re in the age of deep fake, fake news and lying world leaders. But online, you can be anyone. What that does to our sense of self and to our relationships is huge and it’s fascinating.”
Speaking about the forthcoming tour dates in a new statement, Smith said: “We’re all massively excited to head out on tour with this new album that we love.
“After everything that’s happened over the last couple of years, we’re buzzing to play for everyone at these brilliant venues and can’t wait to have some fun back on the road again… here’s to gigging in 2022.”
A presale for tour tickets will begin at 9am on November 2, with the main sale launching at 9am on November 5. Visit Bastille’s official website for further information.
