“First choice for flights”

When looking for flights or hotels worldwide sky scanner is my first point for checking. Always a good choice of different routes, prices and airlines. Great also for hotels.

“Fraud company do not get trap”

It's not easy to find time and write review, few negative review I read and ignored, that was my mistake and I learned from it, now I want to share my experience so that no one else get trapped. The showed best price I was booking 3 tickets from Houston to Delhi so thought of trying and I booked the tickets, waited for 9 hours and started calling, there is no representatives the same person picks up the call and pretend to does not know anything about me, I was keep calling as our flight was 8 days later so had to do lots of planning stay and further travel reservation, and after 18 hours they were in regular business started asking in which price I am looking tickets and started offering other costly deals. I felt really sad this was emergency trip but for someone opportunity to waste our time collect card details and try to offer other deals. Keep away from Book my air travel, all positive reviews are fake.

Used Bookmyairtravel for years for flights and they are nearly always bang on. Love its alert system when prices change. Appreciated recent exchange when I thought I had found an anomaly, Juan was courteous and friendly in his responses.

This site is a scam. Don't use it. I purchased my ticket for $ 344, as advertised. Then, a couple of days later, they called me saying the the price was not that anymore and now I had to pay U$ 600. As I could not cancel the purchase, I had to pay the amount they wanted to charge me. By the end of the day I paid much more than the real price from other companies

Very good travel agency. My agent Andrew was patient enough to find me a reasonable ticket at the last minute in the busy Christmas season. I will be using them again. Also, they checked in my flight to make sure that I was prepared to board. Not many agents do that these days. Five Stars!

SCAMERS. FRAUDSTER. CHEAT

SCAM. FRAUDSTERS. CHEAT. Booked tickets on their site. Did not receive tickets for 3days. Call customer service. The prices have changed and I have to pay the difference in ticket prices. As I booked a promotional rate price. I told them when I booked it did not have any promotion. Even now when I go to their website the prices listed does not show any promotion. On top, the customer reps are not only rude but ignorant to the core. Absoulutely disconnected from reality. Government should crack this type of fraudsters that cheat people of their hard earned money. I wish I had more power to go the bottom of it and get hold of this fraudulent people.

Cheap is expensive.

Why do pages like these exist? Instead of offering promotional discounts and providing a clear and concise response, what it does is that a person who wants to find good deals ends up paying double or not making their trip. It seems disrespectful to me, they should have more control over these pages. I have been waiting for a week for my flights to be confirmed, the worts of all is that if they don’t confirma my trip they still charge me, this is ridiculous, so I paid for non-existent reservation, This is a real shoot. Don’t believe in those “discounts pages”. I understand that those are promotions, but they should be more precise with the information, not even the policies are clear and they contradict each other when called. Nobody answers for this.

Disappear after the sale - no refund

We booked tickets to Peru for ~$4000. The airline then canceled our tickets and issued their portion of the refund. Book My Air Travel did not inform us of this and we found out two days before our travel. We spoke to the agent and they assured us they will issue us their portion of the refund ~$1000 which we have been waiting on for over 2 months now. When we contacted the agent last month they said the company was likely to shut down and not likely to issue us a refund.

"Book" with them at a slightly better price than you might find online, they call you the next day to say you are not booked, in fact, and your tickets are not confirmed. Harass you into booking another ticket on the same flight for way more money. Terrible business, terrible customer service and I cannot believe they are legally able to operate this way.

no response for refund request for the canceled flight

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding an unresolved issue with my flight booking. Last year, I purchased tickets through your agency, Book My Air Travel, for a flight to Tel Aviv scheduled to depart from Toronto on January 29, 2024. Unfortunately, the flights were cancelled by Air Canada because of the war in the places. While Air Canada has processed a full refund for their portion of the cost, I have yet to receive any communication or refund from Book My Air Travel for the remaining amount (C$000.00). Despite my attempts to reach out through emails and phone calls, my requests for a refund have been met with silence, with no responses or calls accepted. This experience has left me deeply disappointed with the level of service provided by your agency. It is crucial for a business to maintain integrity and uphold its commitments to customers, especially in situations like these. Therefore, I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and prompt processing of my refund. I hope for a swift resolution and that your agency will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation, aligning with the principles of right business integrity. Please check my emails regarding the Agency Confirmation #: 27378

Great customer service

Oliver helped cancel

They are total scam!

They are total scam. I booked with them, pay it with my credit card, got confirmation. On the next day, I've revived an e-mail, that they tried to contact me "numerals times". So, I called them back and I was told, that the airline did not confirmed my reservation and I was proposed the same flight with a $150 more. The funny part was, that on the official airline website, the same flight was was only $60 more than the first reservation. Funny people! Obviously trying to scam!

Date of experience : 26 September 2023

Bad deal all around

Bad deal all around! I booked a Delta fight (Newark - Anchorage) cost was $426. Delta flight was $275, but Booking's fee was $151 (that's over 35%!!!). Guess what? Flight was canceled due to storms. Delta immediately refunded the $275 and gifted me 5000 points on their frequent flyer program. BOOKING did nothing; in other words I paid $151 for NOTHING! To add insult to injury, Booking refused to communicate, offered no partial or any refund at all. If booked via any other agency (such as Expedia)I, I would have gotten the full fare refund. BOOKING is a TOTAL SCAM operation- book with a real travel agency! Any company that's interested in customer service would not be operating like this. Booking is FLY BY NIGHT, they grab your money and run! And that is exactly what you should do - RUN!

Date of experience : 09 April 2023

I had a good, not perfect, experience…

I had a good experience with this company, although not perfect. I booked a fight with them and was told there would be a 4-24 hour wait for confirmation. I was called back a few hours later and informed my booked price was not available which was disappointing. However, the agent was able to book me on a better flight for more money, but still a lot less than I was finding on the various popular booking sites. So in all, satisfied with the outcome.

Date of experience : 03 February 2023

Flight cancelled, not informed!

I booked a flight from cae to ATL then ATL to PDX. My flight was changed from American to Delta. I got to the airport Saturday morning only to be informed that my connecting flight was cancelled. I asked why I wasn't informed and was told Delta sends emails to booking companies and they have to inform customers (me). They never did and when I tried to call their phones disconnected when I hit the number for existing bookings. Don't use this company. Customer service is horrible.

Date of experience : 22 May 2022

If thDON'T DO IT. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.ere was an option to give this…

If there was an option to give this company a negative star I would. Like several others who have written a review, I purchased 2 tickets and was told I would receive them once my CC was processed. I did not receive them. Call customer service and was on hold for hours. When I contacted customer service and told them I wanted the tickets today or I would cancel my booking the chatbot or live chat just stop replying to my text msg. DON'T DO IT. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Help Me Hank

Know how to spot an airfare scam before you book your next flight, use a credit card when purchasing anything online.

Kayla Clarke , Senior Web Producer

Hank Winchester , Consumer Investigative Reporter

DETROIT – With COVID vaccines available, more people are looking to get back into traveling and scammers are aware.

The Better Business Bureau’s scam tracker is receiving reports of con artists creating fake airline ticket booking sites or customer service numbers.

Make sure you double-check the website’s URL and phone number before you provide your credit card information.

How does the scam work?

The fake websites or phone numbers appear when people search online for flights.

In one scenario, you book the flight through the website or by calling the fraudulent number but when you receive the confirmation email it’s clear that you didn’t get a ticket.

In another scenario, you book a flight on a travel website offering deals and pay with your credit card. After paying, you get a call from the company saying that there’s been a sudden price increase and you need to pay an extra fee to finalize your booking. This is a scam, a legitimate company wouldn’t do that.

One victim told the BBB, “I received a phone call right after [I booked the flight] stating that they wanted $100 per passenger to finalize my flight.” The victim called the airline to complain and found out that “the flight wasn’t available to begin with. The flight was never booked ... This company just charged my card.”

How to avoid travel scams

If you come across a company that you’re not familiar with you should research it before making any purchases.

You should double-check the URL before you enter personal or payment information. Secure links start with “https:/” and include a lock icon on the purchase page.

Be wary of third-party websites. You should be suspicious of websites that don’t have a working customer service number and no physical address.

When you are making an online purchase you should use a credit card instead of a debit card or your bank account. Fraudulent charges made on a credit card can usually be disputed.

Don’t Fall for This Online Airfare Scam—Here’s What to Watch Out For

Found an airfare booking site with incredibly cheap plane tickets? Read this before you book.

By Zac Thompson

April 28, 2022

One of the most common scams in air travel, according to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), is what we'll call the Fake Fare Flimflam.

The perpetrators of this particular con take advantage of bargain seekers willing to believe in too-good-to-be-true airfares found online. But unfortunately, the victims end up paying a lot more—and get precisely zilch.

Here's how to spot the grift and evade the grifters.

At the BBB's Scam Tracker , a user-submitted post dated April 19, 2022, describes what sounds like a textbook example of the Fake Fare Flimflam.

"I booked a flight from [a] website," the user writes. "The price was about $50 lower than other booking sites I saw. After providing my credit card information, I received an email with confirmation that I had made a reservation, but no flight tickets were attached. Later the same day, I received a phone call and then a voicemail from [the company] asking that I call back to confirm my reservation. I called and they told me that I would need to pay an extra $200 or so on top of the original price to get my seat."

That little tale has more red flags than a Marxist rally.

It's fairly easy for scammers to set up fake airfare booking sites—or even near-clones, with almost identical URLs, of real third-party booking sites like Expedia or Hotwire—and advertise counterfeit tickets from legit airlines, sometimes using copied logos and other deceptively reassuring text and imagery to persuade you to enter your credit card information.

The fraudsters will even send you a confirmation email from the dummy site with the details of your upcoming trip—but if you look closer, you'll notice there are no actual plane tickets attached.

As the Scam Tracker poster related, sometimes you'll get a phone call from the (fake) travel booking company after you've purchased your (fake) plane ticket using your (real) credit card, and a representative will feed you some cockamamie story about needing to verify your personal or banking information or to charge additional fees to your card in order to confirm or finalize your seats on the plane. The company rep may also claim you need to cover the difference for a sudden increase in the price of the fare.

This, friends, is bull.

An honest third-party travel booking site would never call you up after a purchase to solicit additional details or ask you to approve more charges, and airlines can't jack up the price of plane tickets after you've bought them, either (unless you initiate a change yourself).

As Fast Company puts it , "Once you buy tickets, they’re yours at that price with no increase to come."

Consumers who are duped by the scam usually discover the awful truth when they contact the airline using the carrier's customer service channels to complain about the extra fees or to inquire about the whereabouts of the missing tickets.

The airline's agent soon finds, of course, that the caller has no reservation for a flight—the scammer has charged the credit card and taken the money, and the scammee is out hundreds of dollars.

How to Avoid Airfare Booking Site Scams

To make sure you don't blow your travel budget without actually getting to travel, the BBB recommends taking these common-sense steps:

• Do some research before buying plane tickets from a website you've never encountered before. Search for online reviews and complaints about the company. See if the business has a rating at BBB.org . Consult the meticulously researched, regularly updated ranking of airfare search engines here at Frommer's . Don't let a tempting price distract you from doing your due diligence.

• Do some proofreading . Typos, grammatical errors, and blurry images on a third-party booking site may suggest the work of a hasty scammer as opposed to a careful, legitimate business owner. While you're informally copyediting, check to see whether the website lists a physical mailing address and has a working customer service phone number as well.

• If you do decide to buy, check the URL before entering your payment information. Make sure you haven't accidentally clicked a sponsored link or navigated to an imposter site. Only enter sensitive information on a secure link (the URL should start with "https://").

• Always make online purchases using a credit card . You can dispute fraudulent charges made on your credit card, whereas funds stolen from debit cards and gift cards are pretty much impossible to get back. And never use a wire transfer to pay for travel.

• If the company you're doing business with calls you (and they shouldn't), don't provide personal info or approve additional charges over the phone . Get everything in writing, and then save all receipts, fine print, confirmations, and other correspondence. If you need to make any changes to your flight, contact the airline directly—and make sure you use the contact info from the airline's actual website. Scammers have been known to post phony numbers to intercept customer service calls, too.

Planning a trip? Here's how to avoid fake airline ticket scams

When preparing for you next flight, book directly from the airline’s website to be extra safe.

Every new season, occasion, holiday, natural disaster, you name it, scammers work hard. Vacation seasons are one of their favorite times to pounce.

Some in-person criminals might spy that you're away and break in.

Take steps to make sure your home isn’t a target.

Most cybercrime targets you as you’re getting your trip scheduled and paid for. Buying a plane ticket for a late summer or fall trip? Arm yourself with tech tips to make your travel easier and cheaper.

While you’re at it, here’s a new scam to watch for: A “travel agent” or travel site selling fake plane tickets. I’ve got the details on how it works and ways to protect yourself from this predatory ploy.

Join over 400,000 people who get tech smarts in their inbox for free.

A nasty trick

Here’s how it works. You search for tickets online or reply to a scam email. Overwhelmed by all the travel sites and apps, you choose what seems like a trustworthy source with killer prices.

You may end up emailing, chatting, or talking to someone who promises they can get you a great rate on a ticket. You hand over your name, phone number and payment details. Using your information, they book what you think is a confirmed seat and say you're good to go.

You, the savvy shopper, go to the airline's website and enter the flight information. You see your seat, pat yourself on the back for saving money and consider your travel booked.

Cybersecurity news: The real reason there are so many hackers? The tools are cheap and easy to buy.

Then comes the surprise

You check in for your flight, and your ticket is nowhere to be found. That's because the scammer reserved a seat instead of actually booking a ticket. At this point, the airline can't do anything for you.

Hopefully, you find this out long before you’re standing at an airport customer service counter, suitcase in hand! Either way, you’re out the money and the airline ticket.

Be smarter than the scammer

How do you protect yourself from this scam and all the other nasty travel tricks out there? For starters, use this bit of wisdom to serve you well in any scenario: If you find a deal too good to be true, it's probably a scam.

◾ Don’t pay until you see a confirmation number or e-ticket number. Anything else could just be a reservation, and that’s not a confirmed ticket.

◾ Book directly from the airline’s website to be extra safe. You may not get the lowest price, but hey, at least you can get frequent flyer points.

◾ If you’re worried about a ticket, talk directly to the airline’s customer service department. Don’t call the travel agency booking site. Make sure the ticket is confirmed , not just reserved.

Still writing checks? There’s a very good reason you should stop.

How to spot fake travel sites

This is far from the only scam in town. Crooks are great at creating fake apps and sites to rip you off. Fortunately, there are signs to watch for that can help to avoid them.

◾ Check official resources: The Better Business Bureau is a great place to start. The agency lists real companies; if you can't find the one you're working with, walk away.

◾ Online reviews and ratings: Read online reviews and ratings on sites like TripAdvisor, Yelp, or Google. Keep in mind that extremely positive and negative reviews could be bogus. Watch for a balance of reviews and consistent themes.

◾ Accreditation and licensing: Many legitimate travel agencies are members of recognized industry organizations like the American Society of Travel Advisors or have International Air Transport Association accreditation. Check for credentials on their site.

◾ Transparent pricing: Legitimate sites are clear and upfront about all costs. Beware of sites that have hidden fees or don’t clearly explain what you’re paying for and why.

◾ Secure payment options: Reputable travel sites use secure, well-known payment options. Be wary of sites that only allow bank transfers or money orders. A relatively new red flag is if a company only accepts cryptocurrency as payment. Don’t do it!

How to use Google Flights

Why are google flights cheaper, save money by booking flights with points and miles, final thoughts on using google flights.

Are you looking for cheap flights? Happily, for travelers, there are lots of ways to find discounted airfares. One way is with Google Flights, a powerful tool for searching out the best deals on flights. Let’s take a look at how it works, how to save money with Google Flights and the different ways to maximize it.

On the surface, Google Flights seems pretty simple to use — and it is. Anyone can navigate to the site, input their search information and receive results. For example, we used Google Flights to search for a round-trip ticket in economy class from Orlando to New York. But you can also search for one-way or multi-city itineraries on Google Flights, as well as business class tickets.

book my air travel legit

When you do this, Google will show the flights it thinks are best, whether that means they’re the fastest, the cheapest or some other combination of factors.

You can stop there if you’d like. Once you’ve selected the flights you prefer, Google will either take you to a booking site or allow you to book directly within its platform.

But there’s so much more to customize, including departure times, luggage policy and airlines.

Filtering by price

book my air travel legit

Perhaps the most useful feature of Google Flights is the ability to set your price point.

book my air travel legit

If you’re especially price-sensitive, filtering out expensive flights can show you exactly what’s available within your budget.

Searching for nonstops

book my air travel legit

Are you the type of flyer who simply wants to get there? Are connections the bane of your existence?

book my air travel legit

The stops filter on Google Flights allows you to set how many layovers you’re willing to tolerate, whether that’s one stop, two stops or no stops at all.

Selecting departure times

book my air travel legit

If you have an early-morning meeting or you’re looking to leave a little later, you’ll want to filter out the flights that don’t fit your needs. To do so, hit the “times” button on the search page.

book my air travel legit

From here, you can edit and search for the time your flights will take off and land for both legs of your journey.

Choosing your airlines

book my air travel legit

Are you a Star Alliance loyalist? How about a fan of SkyTeam ? If you’re trying to stick with an airline alliance — or even a specific airline — Google has that covered.

You can use the "airlines" filter to show different airlines on the route that you’re searching. Depending on your needs, you can opt to show results from different alliances or by individual airlines.

This can be especially helpful if you have a travel voucher to spend or you’re looking to earn elite status on an airline.

Include your luggage in your search

Whether you’re an overpacker or a light traveler, Google Flights gives you the option to choose how much luggage you’d like to bring.

The "bags" filter can show you flights that include luggage — so you don’t have to worry about additional fees.

Setting your layovers

book my air travel legit

Some savvy flyers enjoy the ability to take a few stopovers en route to their destination. Others, well, not so much.

book my air travel legit

If you have to stop over, the "connecting airports" filter allows you to select where your layover will be. Have you been wanting to check out the SkyDeck at the Delta Sky Club in New York-JFK ? Well, you can filter out other airports and choose how long you’d like your layover to be with this option.

Limiting the length

book my air travel legit

Combined with the ability to pick your layovers, limiting the duration of your flight allows you to pick the fastest routes. This is especially useful when Google presents options that can take 30 hours or more.

Conversely, you can also choose to keep this toggle unused, thus letting you build in some free city-break layovers on the longest flights.

Saving the environment

book my air travel legit

It’s no secret that air travel produces some serious carbon emissions. If that's a concern, Google has a filter to show you which flights have a lower impact on the environment.

book my air travel legit

Although the filter isn’t robust, you are able to see the emissions in your search results.

» Learn more: 4 cheap ways to be an eco-conscious traveler

So we’ve explored all the different filters available during a standard search with Google Flights. These give you the ultimate in customization, so if you’d like a flight from New York to Paris featuring two stops, a layover in Frankfurt and two checked bags — that’s an option.

However, there are also ways to maximize Google Flights to save money. Here's how.

Check out the fare calendar

book my air travel legit

When you start out your search, you’ll notice that you pick your dates from a calendar. However, if you hover over the calendar long enough, you’ll start to see prices appear.

Google Flights displays ticket prices for a two-month window. If you have flexibility on your travel dates, it’s worth taking a look around to see when flights are the least expensive. Google even helps you out by highlighting the cheapest fares in green.

Search multiple airports

Google Flights doesn’t limit you to searching from a single airport. This handy feature allows you to check out flights from neighboring airports, as well as those which you’re willing to depart from.

book my air travel legit

To search for multiple airports, start typing in the search bar.

book my air travel legit

In this case, adding multiple airports allowed us to find a flight for $176 rather than the $228 in the original search.

Allow separate tickets

book my air travel legit

This is actually a type of filter, but it’s a bit more advanced than your usual options. When searching, you have the option whether to allow separate tickets or not. It’s found at the very bottom of the little “all filters” tab on your search results page.

book my air travel legit

Allowing for separate tickets means that you may need to book two one-way flights rather than a round-trip flight, though Google will only highlight these results if they’re cheaper than a single-ticket itinerary.

Set a flight alert

book my air travel legit

Did you know that Google Flights can send you emails? If a flight you’re looking for is too expensive, you can sign-up for alerts that’ll let you know when the price drops.

book my air travel legit

Along with this, Google will also let you know whether the price for your flights is appropriate. This little graph won’t show up on all searches, but if Google has data for the flight you’ll see this pop up when you’re scrolling through the search results.

Use the Google Flights Explorer

book my air travel legit

Do you have flexibility on your travel? Are you just trying to figure out somewhere to go? Perhaps the most underrated part of Google Flights is the Explorer option, which can be found on the left-hand side when on the Google Flights page.

This incredibly useful tool allows you to set extra flexible parameters for a trip. Say, for instance, you’d like to take a week-long vacation within the next six months. You only want to fly business class, however, and you don’t want to pay more than $2,700 round-trip.

Input all this information and a Google Flights map will pop up, showing you all your available options.

Like standard Google Flights, the Explorer tool also has a variety of filters. This includes the ability to sort by airlines and airline alliances, making this a powerful instrument for those looking to earn elite status with airlines.

Airline miles, also called frequent flyer miles or points, are an airline’s currency that you can use for flight redemptions, hotel stays and sometimes other rewards. These work a little differently at every airline. According to NerdWallet analysis, they're generally worth 0.8 to 2 cents each .

But before you start using airline miles, you have to earn them. Beyond flying, another way to amass a large number of travel rewards is to earn a sign-up bonus from a travel credit card.

Google Flights is a robust search tool for those looking to book flights.

Although it’s easy to use, don’t be fooled by its simple appearance. It contains a wide variety of filter options allowing you to design your perfect itinerary and save money while doing it.

Airport Guides

Sheremetyevo International Airport

We’re probably not telling you anything you don’t already know when we tell you that “going to the airport” isn’t exactly on everyone’s bucket list. But just like every destination is different, so is every airport. And just as navigating a new city is challenging in and of itself, so is navigating a new airport. How do I get from one terminal to the next? What are the best airport restaurants? Is there anything to do if I have a long layover?

If you’re anything like us, then these are probably the types of questions you have that perhaps you don’t get push notifications for. But never fear, because we have answers to your airport questions with our series of guides to the world’s top airports. Today we bring you the TripIt airport guide to Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) .

Sheremetyevo International Airport is one of three major airports serving Moscow. It's also Russia’s busiest airport, seeing more than 40 million passengers last year. Originally built as a military airfield for the Soviet Air Force, SVO has been a commercial airport since 1959. It has two main terminal areas, the north and south, which are linked by complimentary bus service. SVO is a primary base for Aeroflot and served by many of the major international airlines.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is located approximately 18 miles (30 km) from Central Moscow. By car or taxi, the airport is at least a 30-minute drive from Central Moscow. Public transportation services the airport from multiple public transit stations, but the quickest way to and from Central Moscow is on the Aeroexpress . Located inside the airport, the Aeroexpress takes 35 minutes and transfers passengers to Belorussky Railway Terminal. Additionally, several  car sharing services are available, and car rental operators are located on the first floor of Terminal D.

Travelers flying through SVO will find a number of familiar fast-service restaurants, including Burger King, Subway, Starbucks, McDonald's, and KFC. Other restaurants for on-the-go items include Teremok (Terminal D), Ramen Club (Terminal F), Surf’n’Fries (Terminal F), and Kroshka Kartoshka (terminals B, D, F), which is one of Russia’s largest chains.

Restaurants of the sit-down variety include T.G.I Friday's (terminals D and F), Spaten (Terminal E) for beer and steak, Pyatyy Okean (Terminal F), Phố Phở (Terminal B),  Mama Russia (terminals B and D), Magadan (terminals B and D), Lunch Point (Terminal F), La Pasteria (Terminal D), and Factory (Terminal D). SVO has many more restaurants, as well as a number of cafes and coffee shops, which you can view on the airport’s website . Finally, look out for the caviar vending machine.

Many of the restaurants listed above—such as Spaten, specializing in beer—double as great spots to enjoy a drink at Sheremetyevo International Airport. Elsewhere, enjoy a selection of Russian beer paired with sausage at Sibirskaya Korona (Terminal D) and  Krušovice (Terminal B), or Irish fare and beer at Guinness Pub&Kitchen (Terminal E) and  The Irish Bar (terminals B and F). Other bars include American Bar and Grill (Terminal B), Forshtadt Altai (Terminal D), O'Learys (Aeroexpress Terminal), and Schofferhofer (Terminal D).

Like most international airports, Sheremetyevo International Airport has a plethora of shops, including names you’re probably familiar with, like Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, COACH, Swarovski, and Bvlgari. Unique to SVO, however, is its  History Museum of Sheremetyevo , which is located on the fifth floor of Terminal F. The museum features exhibits, aviation paraphernalia and other items that tell the history of the airport. Also unique to SVO is its own spa, located on the second floor of the Moscow Business Lounge (Terminal D), and featuring a number of treatments for men and women. Other airport amenities include shower rooms and a salon in the Arrivals hall on the first floor of Terminal E. If you want to get some sleep, GettSleep is located in Terminal D, featuring individual sleep capsules with flexible hourly rates, free Wi-Fi, shower cabins, a co-working area and more.

Airport Lounges

Sheremetyevo International Airport has no shortage of business lounges, including the Gallery Lounge (occupying two floors in Terminal D), the Matryoshka Lounge (Terminal D), Moscow Lounge (Terminal D), Space Lounge (Terminal E), Classic Lounge (Terminal F), and Rublev Lounge (Terminal B)—which holds the record for longest buffet of any business lounge in the world. Most of these are available free for priority passengers, certain flight statuses and some cardholders. They're available to other guests for a fee. SVO's more prestigious lounges include the Mastercard Lounge in Terminal E and VIP lounges in terminals B, D, E and F.

Awful experience with LOT airline At…

Awful experience with LOT airline At the airport we found out that they counsel our ticket back home for no reason. The flight was not cancelled but our ticket was canceled. I call bookmyairtravel representative to give me explanation but no respond until now

Please avoid the headache of ever using…

Please avoid the headache of ever using BookMyAirTravel and learn from our experience so we can salvage something from our experience. I helped my daughter book a flight, but after completing the online purchase, she was contacted and told that the flight was not available and that she would have to pay an extra $600 for a Delta ticket. She asked for a full refund and BookMyAirTravel magically found a United flight for $399, with the caveat that she would have to pay the additional $61 beyond what we already paid when I purchased the flight online. Bait and switch operations are a bad business model for 2023. PLEASE take your money and business elsewhere and save the heartache.

Juan helped me to get things settled as well as Pedro

If you make sure that everything is confirmed with your reservation and your tickets are bought, this can be a good experience for you. Towards the end they have been very helpful to make sure that I have received my ticket number a couple days before my flight and my boarding passing a day before my flight. They’ve also called me to make sure that I don’t have any other questions or concerns and to confirm that I have everything.

I would like to commend their customer service agents for their hospitable service. They were patient and took the time to answer all my questions. They made sure my travel itinerary was in perfect order.

This is a fraudulent company

This is a fraudulent company. The air ticket prices they publish on their website are very low, much cheaper than others, in order to attract you to buy air tickets from them. When you take the bait, they tell you that the tickets at this price are sold out, and then sell them to you at a much higher price than what the airline sells. After I bought the ticket for you, I found that the name and date were incorrect and asked them to correct it, but they always said don’t worry! Don’t worry! and never corrected it. After a few days, they said it had been corrected, but I contacted the airline. I checked the website and found no corrections. Therefore, it is certain that they are a fraudulent company and do not let them buy tickets as an agent

Don't do it

Selling tickets then saying it's on hold by the airline. Scammers and they ruined my plans and didn't contact me - I had to call to find that I had no ticket before I travelled.

Date of experience : November 15, 2023

Completely screwed up reservation

Completely screwed up reservation, tried to upsell multiple times, lied on fares and restrictions. Call into call center which you can barely understand due to noise in the background. Canceled reservation and will never use them again.

This travel company is a total scam

This travel company is a total scam. I was searching for airfare to Hawaii and found bookmytravel.com website was advertising prices for over $1,000 less then the airline websites! Too good to be true? Yes! After booking my flight on their website I get a confirmation number but no ticket. An email the next day informs me that they could not reach the airline and my reservation is still on hold and I need to call them. After calling I am told that airfare no longer exists but for a lot more money I could get a different itinerary. I refused and booked my airfare on another site and was ticketed in under 5 minutes. Needless to say bookmytravel.com is still offering the exact same airfare on their website. Don’t waste your time.

getting what I want

Am very impressed by how quickly the female supervisor concluded my bookings, while the males I have talked to made me promise and never delivered. So all should be trained to give good results. And would I use this service again ? Absolutely.

Scam be ware !!!! Fake reviews

The reviews here must be fake . Scammers . They post a very low price which they do not guarantee. They will raise the price claiming its no longer available or they will claim the baggage is not included when it clearly said it is . They are very rude and talk over you . Ref-BMUS19252 They didn’t confirm the cancelled booking either . TERRIBLE TERRIBLE . Be ware

Stay Away - They charge hidden fees

I booked international travel through them. I got the confirmation email for the Economy Class. Then when I called they told me since I got discounted price, I can not carry-on or check-in ANY bags. It was $520 more for just 1 carry-on and 2 check-in bags. (Total $1080). This information is not written on their website while presenting the cheapest fare. They wasted my hours and I needed to cancel the bookings and make another one. Stay away. they are cheat.

Very helpful

The customer service line had helpful people, like Dora, who was very accommodating when I needed to change flights. Hold times we’re also short, all things considered.

On the 8th I needed tickets for a family of 4 traveling from Tucson to Miami. all airlines were extremely expensive. 5000, 7000. I kept looking and found this site that I did not know. Thanks god. Such a wonderful person attended me and found me 4 tickets for the price of 2300. For the same day and for the best airline. Thanks. they are excellent.

Totally misleading company

Booked on 4th May, a seat from Toronto to Dubai . They sent an email saying they will send the ticket within 4 hours . It is 12 hours but nothing happened. Called them and spoke to their representative. He put me on HOLD for 15 minutes and than simply hung up. Wrote a mail but mail bounced back and see what is written "Your message wasn't delivered to booking bookmyairtravel.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail''. Is it a scam . Will call my credit card company to block the payment. Guys be careful.

Fraud worse people

Fraud worse people. I book my ticket and I had talk with the agent in the morning. And he said its confirm. And I will receive my email in 4 hours. But after not receiving any email accept just a confirmation email. I was calling them no one was picking the phone as they mentions its 24/7 and then I was chatting online from their website and the agent totally saying something. That I don't have any reservation. When I show him the email he just run away and stop replying to my text msg.

Good customer service makes up for false advertising

It’s annoying that they advertise flights on their site that aren’t available. They offer these seemingly good deals, only to tell customers that they “won’t be confirmed” for an actual flight. Despite this, the customer service agents tried their best to get me a comparable ticket (though it was more expensive than what I’d initially seen). There was also a slight issue with payment, where my bank flagged the transaction as a potential fraud. It took a little longer than usual to clear up the issue, and the customer service team was patient and responsive and held my ticket for 24 hours to allow enough time to clear up the issue with the bank. So, I really appreciated that. Overall, it’s a decent company. Just wish they would be more forthcoming about the prices they list online. You basically have to call them to get a confirmed flight; otherwise, you face the risk of your flight being canceled soon after booking - or worse, just before your trip!

Buyer beware!!

Buyer beware!!! I do not recommend this cheap and shady 3rd party airline booking service. I send this out now as the end of the year brings many travel bookings. I used this service in February 2022 and got ripped off. I booked a flight for a family emergency; they charged my credit card and told me to wait for an email with my boarding pass information. This email never came. I waited several hours and called on many occasions to get my boarding pass information and was ignored. In desperation, I booked a flight with Travelocity for the exact same flight I was scheduled for by BookMyAirTravel. Two hours AFTER arrival to my destination, I received the boarding pass email. I called and explained the situation and they said it was their error and would issue me a refund. Again, after several calls and the notorious runaround talk, I have yet to find resolution… No refund after 7 months. I’ve learned my lesson and will certainly avoid BookMyAirTravel for future travel plans. I’m taking the loss of over $300.00 and am sending out a warning to others.

Price was too good to be true

Price was too good to be true, like $300 less, than buying it directly from the airline, but I gave it a shot, based on reviews here. Didn't work. Took a couple of call to get it canceled with support from beloved India. Save your time and don't use that service. Get from the airlines directly or us a well known reseller.

Customer

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

Moscow, a City Like No Other

Moscow is Russia’s largest city with a population of between 12 and 13 million. It is also Europe’s largest city and when you visit Moscow, you can feel it. The layout and architecture of the city is eclectic, ranging from crooked, ancient streets and alleyways to wide, bustling boulevards, from medieval churches to Stalin skyscrapers and to modern, glass buildings towering over everything and of course in the center of it all is the Kremlin and the magnificent Red Square. Moscow is also home to a fantastic, efficient and very beautiful metro system – each station having its own special design. In fact, Express to Russia’s Moscow metro tours and excursions are some of our most popular attractions that we offer. On our Moscow tours, you will see this and more.

Moscow Tours centering on Russian History

Moscow has a long and interesting history and has been the capital of Russia in many of its different iterations – capital of the Grand Duchy of Moscow , the Russian Empire and of course the Soviet Union (who could ever forget the Soviet Union?). Moscow, was founded in the 12th century by Prince Yuri Dolgaruki (Yuri of the long arms – he really did have long arms!). From that time on, it was home to the Russian Tsars until Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg in 1703. The city has survived invasions and sieges from the Mongols, the Tartars, the Poles, Lithuanians and Napoleon but has always persevered. Our Moscow tours will enlighten you on this great history and give you insights into Muscovites and their unique culture. Our Moscow tours show you what the city is like today but also brings to life the past. Moscow never seems to sleep and is bursting with energy. A Moscow tour with Express to Russia is truly the best way of getting to know Russia’s largest and most vibrant city.

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers

What is the best time to visit moscow.

Any time of year is fine depending on what you plan to do. Summertime is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the city and its vibrant atmosphere, but Moscow will be much busier and accommodation is more expensive. Winter can be quite cold but beautiful nonetheless, and this is unproblematic if you intend to spend most of your trip in museums and galleries. There are also various festivals and events organised throughout the year. For more information about the best time to visit, read our guide

How many days are enough in Moscow?

If you plan your itinerary strategically and aren’t averse to a packed schedule, you can cover Moscow’s main sights over a long weekend. Most popular attractions are in the city centre, and the Moscow Metro allows you to cover much ground in a small amount of time. Ensure that your accommodation is fairly central and book tickets in advance, so that you can make the most of your days. For an informative and well-organised day out, check out our Moscow day tours with options to suit all interests.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you.
