We had a bereavement in the family and could not reschedule our booking online because they only allow changing bookings 7 days before the booked date. I tried calling all day before the date to explain but the phone number tells you to go to the website which is extremely limited. I thought that eventually someone would be able to take the call but no. I emailed support and they said is there someone else who could use it because they won't let me reschedule. They gave me 15% off my next booking which I will never use. Complete waste of money never had such bad customer support before. Bad experience with them from start to finish. I will actively tell people to avoid this company in the future. Read more Written April 13, 2024
  • pkardos 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Breathtaking Donegal landscapes from a new perspective The weather didn't look good when we were driving to Donegal Airport but after taking off we got amazing views of the Wild Atlantic coastline and the Derryveagh Mountains. We had an excellent pilot Dominic who made a small diversion to spot a friend of ours and his dog on the beach at Cruit Island. Helicopter crew at the airport was friendly and professional. It was a fantastic experience, we are looking forward to seeing Adventure001 back to Donegal. I understood they come to the northwest only once a year. I hope they will add on an other date in the summer when everything turns green. Many thanks Peter & Adrienn Read more Written April 5, 2024

Yes they had to cancel my flights but more importantly they gave me only one date as an rebooking option before my voucher expired. I was promised a return call by the boss, didn't happen. Very unhappy with the service and investigating through trading standards what my options are. Read more Written December 12, 2023

  • Happiness08070792940 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles scam! I had bought my parents the helicopter experience for christmas, it was my moms dream to go on a helicopter and my dad has an interest in aviation, it was the perfect present. We had booked a date (unfortunately the earliest available was June) - made sense considering irish weather.. It got to a couple of days before the trip and we get an email to say it had been cancelled due to bad weather, it made sense at the time as ireland definitely didn’t have the best summer this year.. it had been moved and then again rescheduled in July. we weren’t able to choose a date after the second cancellation as it was all booked up. Finally, after being on the priority waiting list we get a date .. A SINGLE DATE to choose from,, it was not suitable at all as both my parents were working and my dad was due to have a childhood reunion with a couple of friends. I had eventually convinced them to settle on this date considering it may be another year before season comes back around and more dates become available. So now they travel from Athlone to Waterford, which is a near 3 hour drive, they are 2 hours into the trip when they get stuck behind a cyclist group and call into the office to say they’ll be 5 min late; during which they are advised that the flight is no longer going ahead - at this point i’m furious, i tried to call in but it took me 45minutes on hold (i never got through) and 2 emails for a call during which i had asked for some details on why on earth the flight was cancelled and never informed (i got an email about it being cancelled 5 minutes before my parents were due to arrive for the flight) - the lady on the phone said that they had indeed been informed during the call when they rang to say they will be late, this might be myself but i don’t find this acceptable.. if they had not called they would have arrived after a 3 hour trip to find out their time and fuel had been wasted (keeping in mind that they both took off work) - the sunniest day in ireland not a single cloud in the sky and 25°C the flight was cancelled due to fog.. I was in disbelief and so the phone operator said she can email me a picture, i took the offer as I could not picture what kind of fog could be so dangerous to fly in on 3pm on a cloudless sunny day… please see the pictures attached below I was sent to my email from the office - now there is nothing i can do to get some satisfaction from this company but i will warn others because i think this is a complete an utter joke and I wish I knew not to be fooled into buying this voucher, now my parents have officially got nothing from me or my brother for christmas and i feel completely embarrassed ESPECIALLY having convinced them to take this past remaining spot on a day that suited neither of them - STEER VERY CLEAR Read more Written September 9, 2023
  • Tipperarymartin 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Avoid this company Really disappointed with Adventure helicopters. We booked this trip for Saturday and we got an email to say trip cancelled because of the weather however all weather apps I checked is showing perfect weather for the day we booked. Going be some of the reviews they're not reliable. I wouldn't mind if they said they had no pilot or if the weather was genuinely bad but to tell us blatant mis truths is simply not good enough. It also says we're on a priority list but there's no option to book another date until 2024!! Stay well clear Read more Written September 8, 2023

We had planned trip and that was rescheduled from the weather conditions, we have change the location, only available date was March 2023. We booked and again, the staff has posponed. We chose this weekend. Accomadation booked for Donegal, 7 days before staff called to change the time for a bit earlier and we agreed. On Thursday( trip on Saturday) i have got an email as our trip was postponed due to weather conditions. I called the office to ask about any other date available and I was informed as the only date available is March 2024!!! That's a joke. 2 years my husband is waiting to make that gift happened. 10 Things to See on a Helicopter Ride in Dublin

Dublin, the capital of Ireland, is a city brimming with history, culture, and stunning landscapes. Viewing it from the ground is one thing, but experiencing its beauty from above in a helicopter offers an entirely different perspective. Here are ten must-see attractions when taking a helicopter ride over Dublin.

1. River Liffey

The River Liffey is the lifeblood of Dublin, dividing the city into north and south. From above, you can appreciate its importance to the city, with many of Dublin’s most famous bridges and waterfront buildings visible along its course.

2. Phoenix Park

One of the largest enclosed public parks in any European capital city, Phoenix Park is vast and verdant. From the air, you can spot the herds of deer that roam freely, as well as the impressive Wellington Monument and the President of Ireland’s residence.

3. Dublin Bay

The sweeping arc of Dublin Bay is a sight to behold from above. The bay opens out into the Irish Sea and is lined by beaches, harbors, and the Poolbeg Towers, which are particularly striking landmarks from an aerial view.

4. Guinness Storehouse

While you can’t smell the iconic brewery from the air, the Guinness Storehouse with its distinctive structure is unmistakable. The surrounding historic industrial area also presents a fascinating contrast to the more modern parts of the city.

5. Trinity College Dublin

The historic campus of Trinity College Dublin, with its beautiful old buildings and courtyards, is even more impressive from above. The iconic Campanile and the Book of Kells’ home, the Old Library, are standout features.

6. St. Patrick’s Cathedral

St. Patrick’s Cathedral, dating back to 1191, is Ireland’s largest church. Its spire and Gothic architecture make it a standout landmark in Dublin’s skyline, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich religious heritage.

7. The Docklands

The modern face of Dublin is on full display in the Docklands, with its contemporary architecture, including the Convention Centre Dublin and the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. This area showcases Dublin’s evolution into a bustling, 21st-century city.

8. Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle’s complex of buildings and courtyards, some of which date back to the 13th century, is a testament to Dublin’s medieval past. The helicopter view highlights the castle’s strategic location and its mix of architectural styles.

9. Aviva Stadium

The Aviva Stadium, with its distinctive, futuristic design, is hard to miss. Home to Ireland’s rugby and soccer teams, the stadium is a modern architectural marvel, offering a stark contrast to the historical sites.

10. Howth Head

Just outside Dublin, the peninsula of Howth Head offers breathtaking views of cliffs, lighthouses, and the sea. It’s a picturesque end to a helicopter tour, showcasing Ireland’s natural beauty alongside its urban attractions.

A helicopter tour of Dublin reveals the city’s diverse beauty, from historic sites and cultural landmarks to modern architecture and natural wonders. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the heart of Ireland from a bird’s-eye view.
