48.2: M Stoinis to MS Dhoni, FOUR! MSD finishes it off in style! Stoinis angles in a length ball on middle, Dhoni heaves it off the inner half of his bat and it goes flying over mid-wicket for the winning runs. INDIA WIN BY 6 WICKETS! Customary handshakes going on at the moment. A satisfying victory for the Men in Blue.
48.1: M Stoinis to MS Dhoni, FOUR! Not a six but a four nonetheless to level the scores! Short of a length delivery outside off, Dhoni camps back and slaps it past the point fielder for a boundary. Calm and composed.
- End of over
- IND Batting K Jadhav 81(87) MS Dhoni 51(70)
47.6: N Coulter-Nile to K Jadhav, SIX! High and handsome! Jadhav, you little gem! It's too full and in the line of the stumps, Kedar clears his front leg and hoists it over wide long on for a biggie. Just 5 more needed.
47.5: N Coulter-Nile to K Jadhav, Full toss on middle, it's eased towards wide mid on where Stoinis misfields and allows the second run. Wheels are coming off...
47.4: N Coulter-Nile to MS Dhoni, Short and on off, Dhoni pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a run. 13 needed off 14 balls.
47.3: N Coulter-Nile to MS Dhoni, Too full in length on off, pushed down to mid off.
47.2: N Coulter-Nile to K Jadhav, The batsman has played it fine down the leg side. They pick up a single.
47.1: N Coulter-Nile to MS Dhoni, FIFTY FOR DHONI! The crowd erupts! The Indian players in the dressing room are clapping. What a player! What a finisher for India! Full in length outside off, Dhoni drives it down through mid off for a run. This is his 71st ODI fifty. India were in a spot of bother when he came out to bat but held one end and has put the home team in a commanding position along with Kedar Jadhav. Legend.
- IND Batting K Jadhav 72(84) MS Dhoni 49(67)
46.6: Pat Cummins to K Jadhav, A dot ball to end the over and Cummins' spell. Length outside off, patted towards point. Pat ends with decent figures of 10-0-46-0. Identical figures like Behrendorff and just like him, has been a little unlucky today not to pick a wicket. Anyway, the equation is 16 runs off 18 balls.
46.6: Pat Cummins to K Jadhav, Wide! Pat Cummins goes for the bouncer but loses his radar and bowls it down the leg side for which he is penalized.
46.5: Pat Cummins to MS Dhoni, Short of a length delivery, another shuffle from Dhoni as he pulls this away all along the ground towards deep square leg for a single.
46.4: Pat Cummins to K Jadhav, Outside off on a length, Kedar dabs it away towards the leg side. Picks up an easy run.
46.3: Pat Cummins to MS Dhoni, On the pads, Dhoni shuffles and flicks it away to deep backward square leg for a run. Moves onto 48.
46.2: Pat Cummins to K Jadhav, On the middle stump line, worked away to deep mid-wicket for a run and brings the former Indian skipper on strike.
46.1: Pat Cummins to K Jadhav, Length ball on top of off stump, Jadhav defends it calmly onto the pitch. The ball rolls towards the keeper.
- End of over 50
- AUS Batting A Carey 36(37) Pat Cummins 0(0)
49.6: J Bumrah to A Carey, Just a single to end! A good over though for the Australians as 10 comes from it. Carey again makes room but the bowler follows him. Alex ends up chopping it to the keeper for a run. AUSTRALIA END ON 236 FOR 7!
49.5: J Bumrah to N Coulter-Nile, OUT! Nathan Coulter-Nile holes out! Bumrah bangs it short and on the body, Nathan looks to pull but it hits the higher portion of the bat and goes straight down the throat of Kohli at long on. The good thing though is the batsmen have crossed and Carey will be on strike.
49.4: J Bumrah to A Carey, A single now as Carey opens the face and guides it to point.
49.3: J Bumrah to A Carey, FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries! Carey does the smart thing now, stands still. Bumrah bowls it on the pads. Alex whips it through square leg for a boundary.
49.2: J Bumrah to A Carey, FOUR! Much, much needed. They need a few more. Short and outside off, it is the slower one again. Carey looks to cut but gets an outside edge to the third man fence.
49.1: J Bumrah to A Carey, Brilliant slower one outside off, Carey is done in completely and misses the ball. 6 dots in Bumrah's last 7 balls. Brilliant at this stage of the innings.
- End of over 49
- AUS Batting A Carey 26(32) N Coulter-Nile 28(26)
48.6: M Shami to A Carey, Good length delivery on off, Carey defends it. Shami stops it and the ball goes to his right. He is lazy to get to the spilled ball and they steal a single. 6 runs off the over.
48.5: M Shami to A Carey, FOUR! Poor fielding from Bumrah at short third man. Shami looks for a wide yorker and in a rare moment today he misses it. He serves up a full toss outside off, Carey looks to hit it on the off side but gets a thick outside edge. Bumrah dives to his right and misfields it and the ball then goes past him away for a boundary.
48.4: M Shami to N Coulter-Nile, Full length delivery on middle and leg, Nathan hits it towards long on and takes a run.
48.3: M Shami to N Coulter-Nile, Fuller length delivery on off, Coulter-Nile hits it wide of Shikhar Dhawan at deep cover and they get a couple.
48.2: M Shami to A Carey, Slower delivery on off, Carey checks his shot and luckily for him it falls short of the mid off fielder and takes a single.
48.1: M Shami to A Carey, Good length delivery on off, Carey moves across and looks to hit it to the on side. He misreads the pace and the ball lobs up towards point after hitting his pad.
- End of over 48
- AUS Batting N Coulter-Nile 25(24) A Carey 20(28)
47.6: J Bumrah to N Coulter-Nile, Ends the over with a dot too! Just a single from the 48th over. Another slower ball and outside off, Nathan guides it to point. Top, top stuff from Bumrah.
47.5: J Bumrah to N Coulter-Nile, Another dot! Slower ball outside off, Coulter-Nile opens the face of the bat and guides it to short third man. The idea was right from NCN but the execution was not there.
47.4: J Bumrah to A Carey, Just a single now as Carey pushes it down to long on.
47.3: J Bumrah to A Carey, Three dots in a row now! Carey makes room but Bumrah bowls it closer to the batsman. He tries to hit it over cover but misses.
47.2: J Bumrah to A Carey, Two dots in a row as Carey defends the ball on the stumps.
47.1: J Bumrah to A Carey, Outside off, Carey looks to play at it away from his body but gets beaten.

India vs Australia, 1st T20I - Live Cricket Score, Commentary
Few pointers from the game. How good is Bumrah? G.O.A.T material in the death overs. India despite not fielding their full strength side did manage to stretch Australia to their absolute limits. And as Virat said more game time for Rahul and Pant will follow. So, India's permutations and combinations will change again keeping the larger picture in mind. Australia have managed to scratch a win here but will they pick up one more on the bounce? We shall see! This is Kumar Abhisekh Das signing off on behalf of Akshay Maanay, Abhinand Raghavendran, Varun Dikshit and Naga. Such games will ensure I need to have more medicos as friends!
Harsha Bhogle : Was a fabulous game. Didn't think India would take 126 that far. Major issues though with the lower order batting
Nathan Coulter-Nile, Man of the Match: I thought the boys bowled really well and we scraped home in the end. We worked out quickly that the ball was not coming on to the bat and dragged our lengths back. We have been playing a bit of cricket in the BBL. Really good to have a win and hopefully we will have another one next game and win the series.
Aaron Finch: I think on that wicket, it got lower and slower. When Bumrah has an over up his sleeve, it's gonna be hard. The run-outs did not help but great to get the win. They dragged the length back after the initial start. We were able to get some reverse and were bowling into the wicket. These guys are getting more and more experience. It's a really strong position to be in. Nathan is a wicket-taker. He has been very consistent in the IPL as well. Maxi played a hell of an innings on a pitch which was tough to bat.
Virat Kohli: In the first innings, we were not up to scratch. The wicket was decent enough till the 15th over. We didn't bat really well. A low scoring game is always on the cards in T20 cricket. With the bowling effort we were pleased. Bumrah can do wonders with the ball when it is reversing and did exceptionally well to get us in the game. And Mayank did well in the middle overs as well. Anything is possible now. We want to give game time to Rahul and Pant to figure out what we need to do in the World Cup. I think he (Rahul) played a really good knock, we had a good partnership. 150 would have been a winning score the way the pitch played. Australia deserved to win as they played better than us.
Harsha Bhogle : That 19th over from Bumrah was out of this world. Tells you why he is the best. 14 was more than imagined in the bank for the last over but wasn't to be for Umesh Yadav. Shows too why 8/9 need to have some batting skills
Maxwell: Win is a win obviously. I thought I was able to control in the middle overs. Had a good partnership with D'Arcy, but unfortunately both of us gout out in quick succession which caused a bit of chaos towards the end. Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson were excellent in the end. That's (batting at 4) something I have done well in T20Is and domestically back home in the Big Bash. It's a position I'm comfortable to bat in. Hopefully, I continue to do well. Krunal and Bumrah were extremely hard to get away. I decided to target other players like Chahal. I was trying to hit another six (on his dismissal), but it was a poor bat swing, I'll make amends in the next game.
Last ball wins against India (T20Is) : NZ, Wellington, 2009 SL, Gros Islet, 2010 Eng, Mumbai WS, 2014 Aus, Vizag, 2019*
This is the first time India have lost two consecutive T20 Internationals since June 2016. Also their first loss in eight T20Is at home.
WHAT.A.GAME! In hindsight, the game was about no-tail versus a longish one. Number 8 and number 9 of Australia managed to squeeze a win for India where as India's number 9 was cheered along even when he just laid bat to ball. Could MS have farmed the strike better? And how will the management accomodate such a big tail in a bigger game? 127 certainly was a below par score but India brought their A game to the table and made a match out of it after being abysmal with the bat. And there has to be a few words for Rahul and Maxwell, who scored fifties and seemed like they batted on a different surface altogether. But Vizag fans, though a bit hard done after the final ball, must have enjoyed this thriller. Going down to the wire never had a befitting example. Hang on for the presentation ceremony.
U Yadav to Pat Cummins, 2 runs, wow! Aussies have won this . They have stolen a win in the last over after almost losing it in the last five. Umesh Yadav and his death bowling went for a toss. Managed to squeeze it past the bowler and scampered back for a brace. The throw from long-on did not have accuracy and the Aussie camp are chuffed to bits
U Yadav to Pat Cummins, FOUR , the tail doing it for the Aussies. India did not have one. Low full toss, Pat Cummins backed away and biffed it past cover for a four. 2 needed now. Final ball coming up
U Yadav to J Richardson, 1 run, low full toss, almost a yorker, has been drilled down to long-on. Only a single. Umesh is being bull headed now and rightly so. Yorkers are the best option. 6 off 2 now
And Umesh stops in his delivery stride seeing the non-striker back up too much. A little pause in play. Catch your breathe back. My finger nails have been powered. Massive field changes being rung in. Kohli is at deep mid now
U Yadav to J Richardson, 2 runs, and that second will hurt. Dug the yorker out past the bowler and scampered through. The throw at the batter's end went in vain
U Yadav to J Richardson, FOUR , moves across his sticks and blasts it past deep mid for a four! That was a dagger in the heart of the Indian fans as they are silenced. 9 needed off 4 now
U Yadav to Pat Cummins, 1 run, drags the length ball away to long-on for a single. Was again cramping the batter for room. 13 off 5 needed now
Umesh Yadav [3.0-0-21-0] is back into the attack
Jhye Richardson, right handed bat, comes to the crease
14 needed now..Umesh to bowl it.
Bumrah to Coulter-Nile, out Bowled!! Oh Bumrah! You are a poet in the death overs. An inswinging yorker squeezes under the bat and messes the woodwork. India get another wicket. Brilliant from the death over specialist. How good is this man? You can't quantify it. 142.7kph delivery and Coulter-Nile had no chance. He trudges back slowly. The Vizag crowd have their decibel levels up as well. 14 needed off the final over now. Coulter-Nile b Bumrah 4(8)
Bumrah to Coulter-Nile, THATS OUT!! Bowled!!
