(NEWARK, NJ) -- One year after announcing her highly anticipated return to the road with her ninth concert tour, Together Again, five-time GRAMMY®️ Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame®️ Inductee  Janet Jackson  reveals she will be adding 35 dates to the run. In addition, Nelly will join Jackson on tour across all dates as her special guest. Produced by Live Nation, the new leg of this tour will start in summer 2024, and include a stop at Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

The   Together Again   Tour will offer everyone the chance to reunite with Ms. Jackson in celebration of her 50th anniversary in entertainment and spotlight the milestones for three of Jackson’s most critically acclaimed albums - 25 years of The Velvet Rope , 30 years of janet , and 35 years of Rhythm Nation . featuring her biggest chart-topping hits. In addition, fans can expect the three-time GRAMMY®️ winner and Diamond-selling Hip-Hop sensation Nelly to deliver a powerhouse performance, showcasing his greatest hits and cherished fan favorites spanning the last two decades.

Other dates in the local area include Wednesday, June 26 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and Wednesday, July 10 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

NEWARK, NJ — Janet Jackson is coming to Newark, New Jersey for a concert as part of her highest-grossing tour ever – and she’s bringing another music icon along for the ride: Nelly.

A year after announcing her return to the road with her ninth concert tour, “Together Again,” Jackson has added 35 more dates to the highly successful run. The new list of shows includes a performance at the Prudential Center in Newark at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9.

Jackson – a five-time Grammy Award-winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member – will be joined by her special guest: fellow Grammy winner, Nelly.

After it kicked off last month in Florida, the “Together Again” tour made a New Jersey stop with DJ Infamous and Ludacris.

Only an artist as firmly ensconced in their diva status as Janet Jackson could open a concert with a video montage titled “50 Years … of Me,” as the singer did at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on Saturday night. It was a night of a nearly 40-song set packed with hits, precision dance moves, and several costume changes.

When DJ Infamous asked how many in the crowd were high schoolers in the 1990s, as he spun a selection of classic R&B and hip-hop tracks to kick off the evening, not everyone at the Hard Rock responded. Those that remained silent were more likely to have graduated well before that date, with their Janet fandom dating back to when she was a child star in Good Times or Diff’rent Strokes in the late ‘70s, or as she became a defining presence on MTV in the ‘80s.

Another multimedia celebrity opened the show. Ludacris’ rapid-fire 30-minute set included his own hits and verses he’d contributed to songs by the likes of Usher and DJ Khaled. The oversized sneakers and biceps from his music videos even made brief appearances. On Friday, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As the curtain opened on the headliner Saturday night, it revealed Jackson as almost a museum piece, standing center stage shrouded in a purple cloak and hood as she sang “Damita Jo,” the title track from her lesser-heralded 2004 album. Once she emerged from that velvet cocoon, Jackson — who celebrated her 57th birthday at the Divine Lorraine Hotel on Monday at a party hosted by Questlove — remained in nearly constant motion throughout the next two hours.

Jackson’s “Together Again” tour, which kicked off last month in Florida, is meticulously choreographed throughout — undeniably impressive in its nonstop dance moves, though a bit airless when it came to the connection between Janet and her adoring fans.

Aside from saying “I love you” a few times, Jackson didn’t speak much; the most affecting moment of the show came in silence, as she aimed her microphone at the crowd and let them handle the vocals for much of her ballad “Again,” seeming moved almost to tears in the process.

Even when Jackson did sing, her voice remained largely buried in the mix, nearly drowned out by her five-piece band (hidden in the shadows at the sides of the stage) and bolstered by a vocal track that carried the weight when the dancing took precedence. The singer promised a few songs never performed before in concert, then remained mostly close-lipped through a medley of obscure cuts like “Throb” and “Do It 2 Me.”

Jackson was never known for a powerhouse voice even in her prime, so it’s safe to say that her fans were thrilled just to watch her move. She did that impressively, along with a retinue of three skilled male dancers whose color-coded outfits turned them into Jackson’s muscular accessories. The show was broken into four acts, each with its own outfit and color scheme and jam-packed with songs performed in whole or, more often, in part.

After shedding the purple cloak, Jackson reemerged in a sparkling gold bodysuit accented by a purple bow, the dancers roaming the two-tiered stage in matching purple suits.

The second act, during which Jackson marathoned through classics like “Nasty,” “Control,” and “I Get Lonely,” was in stark black and white.

Part Three featured a bright-orange jumpsuit with deep cuts, while the final act took its cue from the monotone black palette of Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814 and featured the impressive run of favorites from that album: “Miss You Much,” “Love Will Never Do (Without You),” “Escapade,” and “Rhythm Nation.” Michael Jackson even made a posthumous appearance on video for the siblings’ duo “Scream.”

The encore opened with live footage of Jackson backstage at her makeup table, following her onstage as she launched into the evening’s third version of tour theme song “Together Again.” It proved an apt thread to weave the night together — not only as a celebration of post-pandemic togetherness, but as an acknowledgment that Jackson’s fans were simply thrilled to bask in her presence once more.

Janet Jackson to perform at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Music megastar Janet Jackson is headed to the Jersey Shore this spring.

Jackson will be performing at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Ticket prices range from $99 to $229.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at HardRockHotelAtlanticCity.com and Ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

There are also a few presales that begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Other acts headed to the Hard Rock Hotel AC include Earth, Wind & Fire, Wayne Newton, Motley Crue & Def Leppard, The Killers, Chicago, Keith Urban and Anita Baker.

Jackson made an appearance at this year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction last month.

Jackson, class of 2018, dressed as she did on the cover of her breakthrough 1986 album "Control" to pay tribute to the men who helped her make it and were her career's key collaborators, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

A consummate businessman, Ludacris is enjoying success outside of entertainment. One of his most successful ventures includes opening his long-anticipated restaurant “Chicken-n-Beer” at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport with a new location opening at LAX in 2023.  

Bridge’s philanthropic efforts rival his entertainment accomplishments. He started The Ludacris Foundation in 2001 which focuses on helping the youth in his hometown of Atlanta and has partnered with No Kid Hungry and Feeding America.

Janet Jackson has announced a new tour for 2023.

The “Together Again Tour” will begin on April 14 in Hollywood, Florida and end on June 21 in Seattle, Washington .

Jackson will perform in several arenas across the U.S., including Madison Square Garden in New York on May 9 and Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in New Jersey on May 20 .

Ludacris will open for Jackson on the “Together Again Tour,” which will celebrate her 50th anniversary in the entertainment industry.

This will be Jackson’s first tour since 2019 when she celebrated the 30th anniversary of “Rhythm Nation 1814 .”

Tickets for Janet Jackson’s 2023 tour went on sale on Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. on Ticketmaster .

The upcoming concert series, produced by Live Nation, will feature the five-time Grammy winner stopping in 33 cities across North America—including Atlanta, Toronto, and yes, New York City.

So when is she coming to the Big Apple? Mark your calendars, Jackson is scheduled to play at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, May 9. For those who miss her then, there is another chance to see her not long after that, as she will be coming to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 20.

The tour kicks off on April 14 in Hollywood, Florida wrapping up two months later at Janet's June 21 show in Seattle. And joining her for the ride is none other than  Ludacris , who will serve as a special guest on all of the Together Again stops. The rapper celebrated the tour's announcement on  Twitter  on Dec. 12, "Humbled to be a part of some ICONIC S--- I'd Get Yo Tix Now B4 They SELL THE F--- OUT!!"

Jackson quote tweeted the "Money Maker" rapper's message, writing, "What he said."

The singer followed up her tour news by sharing a selfie on Instagram, captioning the pic, "Really can't wait to see u guys #TogetherAgainTour."

And her followers echoed the sentiment, with  Jurnee Smollet  commenting, "Yessssssss we need this now!!!!!! Wooooo hooooo!!!!!!" Added DJ D-Nice, "Yes! The tour we need!"

Tickets for Janet's Together Again tour go on sale on Dec. 16, with the concert series kicking off in Spring 2023.

Last year, Janet Jackson made her grand return to the stage with the Together Again tour after being off the road for four years. And now that she’s been bitten by the performance bug once again, she doesn’t want the fun to end. On Tuesday, the music icon announced the summer 2024 return of her Together Again tour.

Nelly will join Jackson as a special guest on the 35-date run scheduled to kick off on June 4 in Palm Desert. The musician will make stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Boston, Toronto, Newark, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Tampa, Orlando, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, and more. The tour will conclude on July 30 in Phoenix.

General sale for the Together Again tour begins on Friday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. local time, following a presale beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

Coming To The Show?

Start your special evening at Prudential Lounge, located at 165 Mulberry St! This newly renovated lounge is the perfect spot to grab a drink before the show begins. Lounge Opens At 6:30pm

Guests wishing to transfer tickets must log into their Ticketmaster account and manage transfers from there.

Guests with general admission tickets may begin lineup at 8:00AM on the show day. The general admission line will being at the Citizens Tower on the corner of Mulberry St. and Edison Place.

Bags up to 12"x14" are permitted inside Prudential Center. Anything larger, including backpacks, are not permitted, with the exception of childcare or medical bags. Permissible larger bags will be X-rayed. All bags are subject to search by Prudential Center security team members at each point of entry. Bags that do not meet these expectations must be returned to the guest’s vehicle or stored in a Prudential Center supplied locker at the guest’s expense. Lockers are located outside the Ford Tower and Lafayette Street entrances.

Janet Jackson announces 2023 'Together Again' tour: All the details

Jackson will kick off the 33-city tour in April.

Janet Jackson made a special announcement Monday morning: She's heading back out on tour.

Dubbed the "Together Again" tour, Jackson also revealed she's tapped rapper Ludacris to join the multidate trek as her special guest.

Not only does this mark Jackson's first tour in four years, it'll be her ninth concert tour overall.

The tour launches Friday, April 14, at the Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida. From there, she will hit up major North American cities, such as Nashville, Tennessee; Toronto; Dallas; Phoenix; Portland, Oregon; Baltimore; and Milwaukee.

She'll wrap the 33-date trek on Wednesday, June 21, at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Jackson began teasing the tour on Sunday when she took to Twitter and cryptically told fans to join her for a "special announcement" Monday morning. During an Instagram Live announcing the tour, she teased, "There will be new music."

She also expressed how much she missed seeing her fans and how excited she is to be on the road again.

"You guys have no idea, I've missed you so much, so much, and I can’t wait to be with you. I'm so excited," she said.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. local venue time via Live Nation. Citi cardmembers will be able to access a special presale via citientertainment.com beginning Tuesday at 11 a.m. local venue time, which will run until Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 p.m. local venue time.

Listening to your favorite musician at home is fun, but there's nothing quite like the experience of singing along with them, and tons of more fans, live. And as luck would have it, 2024 is shaping up to be a massive year for some of the world's top musical acts, so chances are your favorite performer might be stopping at a city near you soon.

Ahead, we rounded up some of the biggest concert tours of 2024, ranging from Taylor Swift's mega-popular Eras Tour to Drake and J. Cole's exciting It's All A Blur Tour - Big as the What?—set to kick off this winter. You can also expect tour dates from classic icons like Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

1) Taylor Swift

Undoubtedly one of the biggest concert tours ever, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour will continue right through 2024. The international leg of the tour kicked off in Japan, where she played four shows in Tokyo. She'll also stop in Melbourne, Singapore, Paris, Madrid, London, Milan, and more before returning to the States to play in the fall.

There's nothing like seeing T. Swift IRL, but don't fret if you're unable to nab tickets—the Eras Tour movie is now available to stream from the comfort of your home.

2) Olivia Rodrigo

This is not a drill—"Drivers License" singer Olivia Rodrigo will be hitting the road on tour starting at the end of February. The Guts World Tour runs from February through mid-August and has dates in Nashville, Toronto, Chicago, and New York City, among others. Even cooler? Rodrigo will have a stacked list of special guests—like PinkPantheress, Remi Wolf, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan—with her.

3) Red Hot Chili Peppers

Did you hear the good news? The Red Hot Chili Peppers have extended their global tour through summer 2024. The buzzy stadium tour, which kicked off in June 2022, will now run until July 2024 and bring the California-based band to places like Los Angeles, Tampa, Toronto, and Salt Lake City.

4) Bad Bunny

It's fitting that "Monaco" rapper Bad Bunny titled his tour Most Wanted —it's slated to be one of the year's hottest tours. Planned to help promote his latest studio album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , Most Wanted will kick off in Salt Lake City on February 21 and run through May 26.

5) Billy Joel

If you haven't yet seen Billy Joel perform live, there's still time! The Piano Man has added more tour dates to his schedule, stopping in cities like Tampa, New York, Denver, and St. Louis this year. Even more exciting? He'll share the stage with fellow iconic performers Sting and Stevie Nicks for some of these dates.

Mitski recently announced that she's expanding her North American tour dates , and we couldn't be more excited. The months-long tour, which supports her 2023 studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, has a long list of stops, including Miami Beach, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Paris.

There's nothing quite like a Madonna concert, that's for sure. The singer's Celebration Tour , which started last October, continues straight through the spring with dates in Seattle, San Francisco, Mexico City, and more. Besides her eye-catching sets, chart-topping songs, and impressive choreography, concertgoers also get a glimpse of the performer's fantastic costumes, which include looks from Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.

8) Bleachers

The New Jersey-founded rock band, which is fronted by Jack Antonoff—known for producing albums for top acts like Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey—not only has announced a new album but a new tour , too. The tour will start in the UK in March, ending fittingly in the band's home state of New Jersey in mid-June. 9) Nicki Minaj

Nicki fans rejoice: the rapper and singer might be coming to a city near you soon as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The massive tour will include performances in Brooklyn, Oakland, and Baltimore, with stops at Dreamville Festival and Rolling Loud California along the way.

10) Blink 182

Live out all of your nineties and early aughts pop-punk dreams with one of Blink 182's One More Time Tour dates. The tour, which supports the band's ninth studio album, One More Time..., will bring the trio to cities all over the globe, including Sydney, Santiago, Portland, and Boston. The tour's supporting act is Pierce the Veil, which is also worth checking out.

11) Stevie Nicks

The oh-so-magical Stevie Nicks continues her touring streak with a bunch of 2024 concert dates . Set to begin in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10, Nicks will visit a dozen cities throughout the U.S. this year, such as New Orleans, Omaha, and Chicago. "Let's keep this party going in 2024," the singer-songwriter posted on her Instagram in September to announce the newly added tour dates.

12) The 1975

The 1975 is showing no signs of slowing down. The British band, famous for hits like "Somebody Else" and "Robbers," has extended their 2023 tour through 2024. Titled Still...At Their Very Best , the 22-date tour will open in Glasgow on February 8 and conclude in Amsterdam on March 24.

13) Drake and J. Cole

Rap greats Drake and J. Cole come together for the It's All a Blur Tour – Big As the What? which is guaranteed to be a good time. Drake, fresh off his 2023 It's All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, is set to hit dozens of cities starting in February, many of which J. Cole will also be in tow for. Scoop up tickets ASAP, as Drake's shows are known to sell out.

14) Janet Jackson

Superstar Janet Jackson is also extending her 2023 tour, Together Again , into 2024 with dates in Anaheim, Austin, New Orleans, and Hartford. Even cooler? Jackson's supporting act is the 2000s southern rap legend Nelly.

15) Rolling Stones

If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Rolling Stones perform live in person, now's your chance. The iconic rockers, who released their studio album Hackney Diamonds this past fall, are returning on the road for a 16-date tour with shows throughout the United States and Canada. Concertgoers can expect a mix of new tunes and Stones classics.

16) Bruce Springsteen

Famous for countless listenable hits like "Born to Run" and "Glory Days," Bruce Springsteen is set to embark on a massive world tour this year with his band, The E Street Band. The much-anticipated tour will take the Boss and his crew to cities such as Phoenix, San Diego, Dublin, and Madrid, from March through November.

17) John Mayer

Be sure to catch John Mayer's solo tour this year, which will bring the guitarist and crooner to cities throughout Europe. This leg, an extension of his popular 2023 solo tour, will kick off in Stockholm on March 13 and finish in Dublin on March 29.

18) Shania Twain

Okay, this one is technically a residency , but we're excited nonetheless. Shania Twain, most known for her incredible outfits (her hooded leopard print look, anyone?) and hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" is setting up shop in Vegas starting May 10. Twain's residency will take place at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on and off throughout December 2024.

All good things must come to an end. The Eagles, known for "Hotel California" and other amazing rock songs, began their final concert tour this winter. It launched in Phoenix on January 20, with March 16 as its last date in the United States. Eagles fans won't want to miss this one.

20) Alanis Morisette: The Triple Moon Tour

Alanis Morisette joins forces with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their 2024 Triple Moon Tour , which has dates in North America and Canada. This tour is a great one to catch this summer, as it's slated to run from June through August.

Janet Jackson announces Asia tour dates for 2024

TLC will support Jackson at her shows in Japan

Janet Jackson has announced tour dates in Asia for March next year – see the list of tour dates below.

Today (November 15), Jackson took to social media to announced a handful of tour dates for March 2024, which includes four dates in Asia and two in Hawaii. Jackson will take on the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila, the Philippines on March 13. Three days later, she will head to Nagoya, Japan, where she will perform at Port Messe and then at Jo Hall in Osaka the day after. Janet Jackson will round out her Asia shows in Yokohama at the K Arena on March 20.

At the time of publishing, no other Asia dates have been announced. Janet Jackson has also announced via her Instagram post that ‘Waterfalls’ hitmakers TLC will support her at her three shows in Japan.

Tickets to Janet Jackson’s ‘Together Again’ concert in Manila will go on sale on November 25, while tickets to all three of her Japan tour dates will be available on January 13. Tickets and more details can be obtained at Janet Jackson’s official website .

March 2024: 13 – Manila, Philippines – Smart Araneta Coliseum 16 – Nagoya, Japan – Port Messe (with support from TLC) 17 – Osaka, Japan – Jo Hall (with support from TLC) 20 – Yokohama, Japan – K Arena (with support from TLC)

Meanwhile, the singer will detail her ‘Together Again’ tour in a new documentary Janet Jackson: Family First . Serving as the follow-up to last year’s  Janet Jackson , the new documentary will also reveal her efforts to reunite the family band with her brother Randy for the first time in 40 years.
