Miss jnoub is coming back after 32 years.

Most of us wait for the Miss Lebanon pageant to take place every year. Some to see the new queen, others to contribute to the pool of jokes that are bound to happen. Either way, we’re here for both, and now Miss Jnoub is going to be added to the mix.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism for the first time, the southern-based pageant is set to take place on June 24 th at Life Venue in Jadra. Headlining the event will be none other than Lebanese singer Melhem Zein.

And do you know who the reigning Miss Jnoub is? The unbeatable diva Haifa Wehbe herself. It’s safe to say that this icon has been the queen of our hearts since 1991.

هيفاء وهبي ملكة جمال الجنوب عام ١٩٩١ pic.twitter.com/30jiy9V2nm — زمن الهدوء (@zmn_alhdo) September 24, 2017

But we digress. Another pageant means more than just a group of young women competing for the crown.

We can already hear the Twitter troops sharpening their pitchforks.

Until we finally live to see the day that these Miss Lebanon pageants (and Miss other dumb things that might come up) are permanently cancelled, we’ll be right here. Awaiting the diamond of the season…and the reactions.
