Your guide to the football stadiums in London

London Stadium

London Stadium

London Stadium was the epicentre of the 2012 Summer Olympics, a watershed event in British history. Ever since those momentous two weeks, London Stadium has continued to serve as a landmark in one of the world's most magnificent cities. Home to West Ham United, this stadium boasts the third-largest capacity in London at 60,000 and features a unique athletics track around the pitch, & also plays host to MLB, concerts, and other sporting events.

Located in the thriving hipster district of Bermondsey, the famous home stadium of Millwall has had a renaissance in the last decade. Still, The Den is surrounded by seedy backstreets and dilapidated buildings. Something that is in keeping with the menacing reputation of the dockers' and factories workers' football squad.

Loftus Road

Loftus Road is Queens Park Rangers' snug and little stadium. While the front isn't exactly a work of art, the interior is instantly recognizable because of the double-decker stands. The vibrant Shepherd's Bush, where different cultures combine, is home to QPR's stadium. Just across the block is Westfield Mall, one of the biggest indoor shopping complexes in Europe, so you can easily combine your visit with a day of shopping.

Tottenham Hotspur

The Spurs play their Premier League home games in London's newest and most cutting-edge stadium, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Concerts and NFL games are among the many big events held at the stadium, which has a retractable pitch and a single-tier stand with 17,500 seats. The acoustics of the stadium make it a true bastion of the team's faithful. Purchase Tottenham Hotspur tickets if you find yourself in North London.

Selhurst Park

Although Frank de Boer and Tony Pulis may have different opinions, we strongly suggest that you visit Crystal Palace without delay if you want to feel the real Premier League atmosphere of football. Plus, among London's stadiums, Selhurst Park is among the most picturesque. Crystal Palace's atmospheric stadium is known for its close proximity to the pitch and lively home support.

Stamford Bridge

Gianfranco Zola, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Petr Cech, Kerry Dixon, Drogba, Eden Hazard. Names that every Chelsea FC fan would recognize. Or was it, maybe Jose Mourinho was the reason you fell in love with the Blues? Either way, Stamford Bridge Stadium, home of Chelsea Football Club, is worth a visit. The Shed End and the Matthew Harding Stand offer Stamford Bridge an electric energy that the devoted Chelsea crowd loves.

Nobody has ever battled so fiercely for a London stadium as they did for The Valley, and it's a fantastic tale. More than a century after its founding, Charlton Athletic is still playing at this venue, all because of its beloved fans. The stadium is known for its distinctive pyramid-shaped roof and passionate fanbase.

Craven Cottage

Home to Fulham FC in West London, Craven Cottage is a historic riverside stadium with a capacity of around 25,700. Known for its intimate atmosphere and traditional design, it's the oldest professional football ground in London still in operation.

London Stadium is located within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and benefits from the Capital’s best transport links.

Stratford’s ability to handle large numbers of fans makes it our recommended gateway for those travelling to and from London Stadium. From here, a combination of stewards, directional signage and strategic road closures will see you to and from the ground quickly and safely.

London Stadium event day closures

There will be no access to Stadium island for non-ticket holders on event days. Road closures will be in place from three hours prior to each match.
