The post The 60 Most Anticipated Tours of 2024 appeared first on Consequence .
A new year means new tours, along with some notable ongoing treks. When it comes to anticipated tours here in 2024, Taylor Swift certainly isn’t the only superstar who will be on the road, as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen , Madonna, and Foo Fighters can all be found on outings of their own.
Keep an eye out for some particularly stacked joint outings, like Joel roaming with Sting and Stevie Nicks ; Earth, Wind & Fire journeying with Chicago; or the team-up of Latin icons Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, and Ricky Martin. Drake is linking with J. Cole for a blockbuster hip-hop trek, Chris Stapleton has a rotating cast of incredible special guests (including Willie Nelson and George Strait ), while Mannequin Pussy will be bringing Soul Glo along for the ride.
There’s so much to be excited about across the musical landscape, so to help you find exactly what you’re looking for, we decided to break down our tours by genre. Ahead, find all the details on the live events we are most excited to catch, from pop legends to Americana iconoclasts, hip-hop luminaries to indie favorites and unforgettable rock stars.

Billy Joel will conclude his record-setting Madison Square Garden residency with his 150th show at the venue on July 25th. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 tour was one of the year’s best live shows — but it was cut short as The Boss dealt with peptic ulcer disease. Thankfully, he’s expecting to make a quick recovery, with rescheduled US dates already mapped out for much of 2024. There’s also a summer European trek , tickets for which can be found here . — B. Kaye

Def Leppard and Journey
Def Leppard and Journey are striking out on a 23-city co-headlining tour this summer, and those two names alone would be worth the price of admission. But it gets even better for fans of classic rock bands: Cheap Trick, Steve Miller Band, and Heart will all open select shows. Don’t stop the hysteria! — B. Kaye

Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit , along with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, are coming in for a final landing. Eagles’ “The Long Goodbye” farewell tour has exactly 21 dates left on its itinerary, and while there’s every chance they’ll extend the trek once again (it is a long goodbye, after all), do you really want to take that chance? — B. Taylor Swift Announces 2023 ‘Eras Tour’ of U.S. Stadiums

Taylor Swift announced Tuesday morning her long-rumored return to the road, with an outing dubbed the “ Eras Tour ” scheduled to hit U.S. stadiums beginning in March 2023 and running into August, with international dates set to be revealed later.
The support acts are very much all about the sisterhood, with a host of acts Swift has championed in the past. Opening acts for the U.S. leg of the tour are Paramore , Haim , Phoebe Bridgers , Beabadoobee, Girl in Red, Muna, Gayle, Gracie Abrams and Owenn.
The tour starts March 18, 2023 in what is apparently a sweet spot for Swift, Glendale, Ariz., the same place her last outing, the pre-pandemic “Reputation” tour, began in 2018.
Popular on Variety
As for which album we can consider the tour to be supporting, since she has released four original studios albums since her last tour? All of them. Swift described the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!),” with a graphic showing her look from different phases of her career.
See the full itinerary, with color-coded graphics indicating which of the nine opening acts got the gigs in which cities:
The public on-sale happens at 10 a.m. local time on Nov. 18. As with all major tours nowadays, there will be an earlier rollout of tickets for credit card members, in this case holders of Capital One cards, beginning Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. through Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. local times.
As with her previous tour, there will be a Ticketmaster Verified Fan program “to ensure tickets get into the hands of fans.” Aspiring ticket buyers can register for the setup now through Nov. 9 here .
Unusually in the modern era of variably priced “platinum tickets” where fans get little information about set ticket prices, Swift has announced the cost of her tickets in advance. They run from $49 up to $449, with VIP packages that start at $199 and go up to $899.
Swift’s announcement promised that international dates are to follow.
There was an attention to detail in the tour announcement even in the graphics signifying the opening acts at different spots in the tour routing, with Bridgers, for instance, being represented by a tiny ghost, in honor of the skeleton costume she’s used on her own headlining tours.
Not accidental, probably, is how that same graphic breaks the tour itinerary down into two columns of 13 dates each. There will be 27 shows in 20 cities. The venues getting a two-night stand are in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Chicago, as well as Arlington, Texas; Foxborough, Mass.; and East Rutherford, N.J.
The reception for “Midnights” upon its October release left no doubt just how strong the appetite for Swift tickets will be. It had the biggest week since Adele’s “25” album, per Luminate this week, with 1,578,000 album-equivalent units. Additionally, it was announced Monday that for the first time in history, all 10 top slots of the Billboard Hot 100 were filled by a single artist’s songs, with “Anti-Hero” leading the way at No. 1. Fans very much wanted the full album, anyway — of the nearly 1.6 million album units registered for “Midnights,” 1,140,000 were copies purchased in the form of the full album. It became Swift’s fifth album, out of her 10 original studio releases overall, to sell a million-plus copies in the first week out. The figure also represented the best first-week sales for an album by any performer since “Reputation” came out of the gate with 1,216,000.
The “Eras Tour” is being produced in-house by Taylor Swift Touring and promoted by the Messina Touring Group.
The tour’s opening acts expressed their enthusiasm in their own ways, such as the tweet from Muna that declared the group “gay for Tay” and pictured the trio in miniature, resting atop Swift’s lighter on the “Midnights” album cover.

Billie Eilish has announced a new tour and will be coming to the UK next summer.
The 22-year year old 's show is named after her latest album - Hit Me Hard And Soft - and will kick off in North America in September.
It will then head to Australia in February 2025, before travelling across Europe and arriving in the UK on 7 July when she will perform for two nights in Glasgow, at OVO Hydro.
Eilish will then play six nights at the O2 in London, and four nights at the new Co-Op Live arena in Manchester - a venue that has been beset with problems as it prepares to open to the public.
The singer will then play two gigs in Dublin, Ireland, at the 3Arena.
A vocal environmentalist, fans are being encouraged to take "sustainable transport" during the tour, which will also feature "eco-villages" and encourage plant-based food options.
The tour will partner with the plant-based food organisation Support + Feed - an initiative founded by Eilish's mother Maggie Baird - and environmental non-profit organisation REVERB.

Eilish's third studio album comes out on 17 May, a month after Taylor Swift 's much lauded album The Tortured Poets Department .
Like Swift, Eilish is encouraging fans to listen to the collection as a whole, saying on her website that the new body of work should be listened to chronologically as it "hits you hard and soft both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way".
She's not released any singles in advance, encouraging fans to listen "in one go".
The album cover features Eilish on her back under dark water with a white door open above her.
Eilish's last album was 2021's Happier Than Ever, and her debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released in 2019.
The youngest person ever to have won two Oscars, she took home the award for best original song Oscar gong for Barbie's What Was I Made For? in March, and won the same prize for James Bond's No Time To Die in 2022.
Tickets for Hit Me Hard And Soft go on general sale on Friday.

Inspired by Aaron Rodgers, Bernhard Langer making rapid return to PGA TOUR Champions
Change Text Size
Bernhard Langer will make his PGA TOUR Champions return at next week’s Insperity Invitational presented by United Healthcare, just three months after the 66-year-old tore his left Achilles tendon.
“Statistically, they say that guys win the most tournaments from age 50 to 55 on the PGA TOUR Champions, and then they kind of drop off,” Langer said in a statement. “I’m trying to continue to prove them wrong.”
“Part of my training is doing other things, like ping-pong and other sports," Langer said. "So I played pickleball with some of my friends. My opponent lobbed me and I did a few steps back, jumped up and hit it and as I landed, I heard this loud noise and pain in my leg. I went down on the ground and at first I thought I hit something walking backwards but as I looked around there me was nothing there and I realized most likely it’s a torn Achilles tendon.
“I immediately started talking about, ‘Well, what does this mean?” he continued. "Because I had no idea, how long will I be out? Will I ever be back?”
Bernhard Langer’s remarkable recovery after Achilles injury
Langer's doctors quickly alleviated his worries, projecting a full recovery if he followed the physical therapy plan. Langer spent more than a month wearing a boot on his left foot but shed it by the end of March when he was able to stand on his own for the first time. Shortly after, he was cleared to begin working out and hitting balls.
“That was an amazing feeling, that I can actually stand again because I didn’t stood for weeks,” Langer said.
Langer found inspiration in New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who underwent the same Achilles surgery last September. Rodgers’ accelerated timeline, which allowed the star quarterback to throw a football within three months, provided Langer a roadmap.
“That lifted my spirits, hearing he was back on the field throwing the ball after eight or nine weeks," Langer said. "That encouraged me that I may do something similar."
Bernhard Langer | Swing Theory | Driver, iron, wedge
It’s a remarkable recovery for Langer, who has defied his age and expectations many times before. Langer has won more than 130 professional golf tournaments around the world throughout his career. A three-time winner on the PGA TOUR, including the 1985 and 1993 Masters, Langer also has 12 major victories on the PGA TOUR Champions. He is one of only five players to have won tournaments on all six continents where golf is played. He has played on 10 Ryder Cup teams and captained the European squad to victory in 2004.
Langer won twice last year, including the U.S. Senior Open, to pass Hale Irwin for most victories on Champions Tour. Langer has finished in the top-five in more than 40 percent of his Champions Tour starts. The ageless Langer has accumulated 28 titles after the age of 57, and 13 of his wins have come following his 60th birthday. The only player to win after turning 64, which he has done four times, Langer is also the only player in history to win every major on the senior swing.
He doesn’t intend for this injury to derail that pace: “My goal was always to be the best I can be and I think if I get back to being my best again, even at my age, I still think I’m competitive and win.”

I have been seeing Madonna concerts for many years and she always puts on a great show ! She is an excellent performer. The Madame X show was very close and personal. She played mostly from her new album with some old favorite hits. Due to injuries and her age, she does not move around and dance like in previous shows. She also looked unexpressional due to work on her face.
Start time was 10:30 and she came on a little after 11. There was a Portuguese band beforehand playing some of her songs which was very nice.
Overall, a good show. She had her daughter with her on stage which was a sweet touch. Madonna as always was outspoken about the President and current politics which is her freedom of speech. However, I did not go to hear political views, but to see her perform her music.
She always has a god message to inspire others to make a difference in the world. I love how she stands up for women and gay rights. I love Madonna and always will !

It was my very first Madonna concert. I paid my most expensive ticket fees, 2!week salary, to get a Mezzanine section in my he Wiltern theater, Los Angeles (LA) when the tour was first announced, 6 months mabe.About the his venue, no AIr Condition for entire night outside or inside the theater. No comments no apologies from the facility. It might be always under this condition or just one night, I am not sure. About the production, nothing special, small stage, recycled props and pretty much the same dance moves. Madonna has a beautiful voice as ever but this show very disappointed me per all of my expectations. I recently attended Lady Gaga and Pinks (2 times), Aerosmith (2times). I would rate these shows 10 times better than Madonna in LA. To true fans who don’t make much money it is better to skip this show to retain a better memory about Madonna shows of old time.
I ran out of air the breath inside the theater so I left toward the end of the show when the stage turned totally dark. I could said the the show affected me negatively financially and emotionally. Thank you for reading.
AMAZING!!! Love that she engages a lot with the audience. The track list was fantastic...the small theater experience was hard to adjust at first because I’m so used to her large stadium/arena productions, but it all changed when she started talking and explaining her reason for this production. I had many favorite moments for example, Vogue was fun, no remix just the original song performed, the Batuka ladies where fantastic, Frozen was so beautifully done, her Fado club was section was cool. Everything about this theater experience was great...I can’t wait to see it again in Vegas next weekend. I highly recommend it!

Philippines accuses China of damaging its vessel at hotly contested shoal
The Philippines on Tuesday accused China's coast guard of harassment and damaging one of its boats in a disputed area of the South China Sea, and rejected Beijing's position that it had expelled two vessels from the hotly contested shoal.
A 98-year-old Ukrainian woman said she walked 10 km (6 miles) under shelling, supporting herself with sticks and sleeping on the ground, leaving Ocheretyne in Donetsk, now occupied by Russia, and trying to reach areas controlled by Kyiv.

LIV Golf: Kevin Na goes full NSFW, shows why he doesn’t belong on PGA Tour
LIV Golf provides more of a laid back atmosphere for fans and golfers, but Kevin Na took that too far in Adelaide.

LIV Golf , the Saudi-backed rival league to the PGA Tour, has trumpeted their laid back approach to golf. Whether that is the music playing in the background, the fans chanting as golfers hit their shot, or the players themselves acting a little more relaxed.
This weekend, LIV Golf hosted its most successful event, LIV Adelaide in Australia .
CEO Greg Norman declared victory after a record-setting week. Television ratings were up and there were attendance records set during the three days for LIV Golf.
But just because the tournament was an overall success, that does not mean there were not still hiccups.
A fan chucked a water bottle onto the course and hit a caddie in the head, sending him to the ground.
Then, there is the matter of Kevin Na, who finished T34 in a 54-man field.
Video surfaced of Na acting like a child Sunday, cursing like a trucker after failing to get out of the woods.
LIV Golf star Kevin Na loses his sh!t in Adelaide “F—king Bullsh-t!!!” (Via: milz_ting/TT | @ziregolf ) pic.twitter.com/vJ0S0Io6Ok — NUCLR GOLF (@NUCLRGOLF) April 29, 2024
The video opens with Na standing, clearly frustrated as his ball lie in a patron sand path left of the fairway.
His caddie asks fans to move, as they are blocking the pathway for Na’s attempted shot.
He then completely chunks his shot, as it moved forward maybe 20 feet.
“F***ing bullsh**,” Na can be heard yelling aloud. He then punches his bag on his caddie’s shoulder as he mumbles more curse words.
Things did not get any better.
Na’s next shot strikes a tree and squirts out to the right. At this point, frustration boils over and the 40-year-old shows no care in the world.
He just walks to his ball and whacks it into the fairway, dropping more F-bombs along the way.
It was unbelievably childish behavior from a former 5-time PGA Tour winner . But this would be completely unacceptable on the big boy circuit.
You can get away with it in LIV Golf though. He obviously has zero concerns about how he is acting. Why would he? He already got his bag joining the Saudi-funded golf league.
Even I can acknowledge that there are certain elements of LIV that are good for the game, and in particular, for the fans. But creating an environment where a professional feels emboldened enough to act like that is not one of them.
