For the most extreme travellers, our shooting tour will deliver your daily dose of adrenaline whereas our tank excursion will let you ride a real tank and shoot a bazooka.

We also offer help to receive your visa , safe and multilingual airport transfers , as well as organisation services for team-building events or bachelor parties .

All our excursions (but the monastery diner) happen onboard our Soviet military vans and can be covered by our  professionnal photographer or videographer.

Château Pey La Tour – Réserve du Château

Pey La Tour Réserve du Château est le premier vin de la propriété. C’est une référence de grand vin abordable, exprimant les qualités des plus grands terroirs du Château. Les éloges de la presse et des clients placent ce Bordeaux Supérieur au-delà de son appellation. Ses vins sont séduisants, pleins et profonds, dotés d’une belle aromatique sur les fruits rouges juteux.

Notes de dégustation

Ce vin présente une robe rubis profond. Des arômes complexes de réglisse, de fruits noirs - mûre, cerise griotte - explosent au nez, soulignées d’une nuance finement toastée. L’attaque est franche, la bouche développe une belle densité, enrobée d’une trame tannique à la fois longue et large. Les mêmes notes fraîches de fruits noirs et de réglisse s’étirent en une longue finale savoureuse, vineuse.

Le millésime

2022 est un millésime de contrastes. Il débute par un hiver glacial, sans conteste le plus frais de la décennie. Favorisant la mobilisation de ses réserves, il permet un débourrement de qualité. Dès le mois de mai, la dimension solaire du millésime se révèle, avec des températures excédant de 2,5°C la norme, un déficit hydrique global, et une floraison précoce et somptueuse. L’été, caniculaire, est marqué par de dramatiques méga-feux en sud-Gironde - heureusement sans conséquence sur la qualité des raisins. Cette année encore, la vigne démontre une résilience extrême lorsqu’épaulée par nos pratiques culturales adaptées. Les vendanges précoces pour les blancs ont préservé leur fraîcheur et leurs arômes. Les rouges quant à eux étonnent par leur concentration, et leurs acidités élevées compte tenu du contexte. Riche puissant et solaire, 2022 est sans aucun doute un très grand millésime !

Supple and richly scented, lovely blackcurrant and black cherry fruit on the palate, deep but sleek and so well defined. Crisp and crunchy with liquorice, dark chocolate and clove edges to the fine but firm tannins. Feels well worked with purity, tannins are at the fore, but they're plump and give weight to the expression. When they soften this will be very drinkable. Great acidity with a lift on the finish. Leaves a refreshing cool moorish taste. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. Aged 12 months, 10% new oak barrels, 3 batches in amphora. HVE certified.

Unexpected and gratefully received, this is a structured vintage for Pey La Tour, and it manages to bolt on tannin and oak details while augmenting exotic fruit notes to compensate. Lovely and harmonious, this is an excellent effort for this wine, and it will undoubtedly age well, too.

I found a rare softness in Château Pey La Tour 2022 that is uncommon for wines at this level: the tannin structure is rich and powerful, but it delicately spreads on the palate in a powdery texture. Thanks to the excellent water retention capacity of the clay-limestone soil, the blackberry and blackcurrant aromas are ripe and plump, with clarity and distinction. Even at the En Primeur stage, it is already quite enjoyable to drink.
