Primal Kyogre and Groudon behind the logo for the Go Hoenn: Tour for Pokémon Go

Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn is a huge two-day global event that takes place on Feb. 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in your local time . The event brings out tons of Hoenn region Pokémon, including region exclusives and the debut of Primal Reversion for Kyogre and Groudon.

During the event, there are rotating habitats that change the spawns, special Pokémon in raids like Deoxys , and other perks to enjoy. We list them out below.

Are there any differences or changes for Pokémon Go Tour Hoenn day 2?

According to players in regions where the event is already live, there are no changes or additions to the event for Day 2 of Go Tour Hoenn.

This is different to most weekend-long events where the Sunday will introduce new quests or a surprise or two. Instead, use the opportunity to continue completing existing quests, participating in Primal raids or finding catching an elusive Latios or Latias in the wild.

This also means the habitat schedule - listed later on this page - will be the same, allowing you to complete any outstanding Collection Challenges.

Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn event tickets explained

This year, the event is mostly free . Players can fork out $4.99 for the optional Masterwork Research Tasks that rewards a Shiny Jirachi , but that is the only money-gated part of this event.

The “Chasing Legends” Special Research is free for all players who open the game during the weekend, as well as the Latios or Latias Photo Safari quest.

As well as this, make sure you have chosen Ruby or Sapphire in the “Primal Rumblings” Special Research , as this will tweak certain elements to the event, including participation in the on-going ‘Primal Surge’ contest for who can complete the most Field Research each hour (boosting wild Pokémon and Primal Raids for either team) as well as whether you’ll see wild encounters for Latias and Latios.

Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn event bonuses

As a free event, bonuses are few and far between. As well as the aforementioned quests available for all players, other Go Tour Hoenn event bonuses include:

  • An additional guaranteed Candy XL from in-person Primal Raids
  • Incense may attract Unown, Brendan’s hat / May’s bow costume Pikachu
  • Chance of 5 Latios or Latias Mega Energy when spinning PokéStops

To confirm - there are no changes to egg hatching distances for the duration of the event.

The rest of this page explains the other changes to habitat spawns, incense, raids, eggs and field research.

The Go Tour: Hoenn Global event brings three new research quests to Pokémon Go - one of which has already been released.

The quest in question is Masterwork Research: Wish Granted , which is also the only paid content connected to the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event.

It takes you on another Jirachi themed adventure and grants you the chance to add a shiny Jirachi to your collection. Since it’s a Masterwork Research quest though, the challenges it presents will take you far longer to complete than your regular special research quest. So, if you’re up for the challenge, be prepared for it to take a while…

The Masterwork Research: Wish Granted quest will be available for purchase in the in-game Pokémon Go store until Monday 20th March and we have instructions on how to buy it at the bottom of this guide.

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Chasing Legends is the second special research quest and every Pokémon Go player can enjoy it for free.

This quest will see you reuniting with Rhi of the GO Ultra Recon Squad to investigate the Hoenn folklore surrounding the Red and Blue Orbs. These items appear to have a connection to Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon who happen to be causing trouble in the world of Pokémon Go during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event.

To unlock this quest you need to both play Pokémon Go during event hours - 10am to 6pm (local time) on Saturday 25th February and Sunday 26th February - and have completed the Primal Rumblings quest, so you can pick between the Ruby and Sapphire teams .

Progressing through this quest will give you the chance to earn Primal Energy for either Groudon or Kyogre depending on which team you selected - Ruby or Sapphire. You'll also be asked to choose between Cacnea, Gulpin or Surskit; your choice determines which one will appear more frequently when you use Incense throughout the event, along with some of the rewards and challenges in the quest.

pokemon go go tour hoenn

The final research quest you can partake in is the Ruby or Sapphire: Photo Safari .

As the name suggests, which version of the quest you receive depends on the team you picked - Ruby or Sapphire. If you haven't selected a team yet, it's a good idea to know the Ruby and Sapphire version differences .

The quest itself tasks you with hunting down either Latias in the Sapphire version or Latios in the Ruby version - both of which will be appearing in the wild depending on which team you picked. After that, much like the legendary dog Photo Safari during the Go Tour: Johto event, you simply need to take a photo of the legendary to earn and additional encounter with them.

pokemon go go tour hoenn

There’s a host of features for you to enjoy during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event in Pokémon Go - both free-to-play and paid.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the features on offer, which we cover in more detail after the lists:

  • Masterwork: Research Wish Granted - grants you the opportunity to catch a shiny Jirachi

Free-to-play:

  • Chasing Legends special research quest
  • Ruby or Sapphire: Photo Safari (Dependant on choice between Ruby and Sapphire)
  • Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre appearing in Primal Raids
  • Ruby vs Sapphire Challenge
  • Rotating habitats
  • Four Global Collection Challenges

Pay-to-play Go Tour Hoenn Global features

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Unlike past Go Tour events in Pokémon Go, there is only one activity you need to pay for during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event - the Masterwork Research: Wish Granted quest.

Purchasing this research quest will allow you to add a shiny Jirachi to your Pokémon collection. The quest itself costs £4.99, $4.99 or the equivalent price for your local region. It is nonrefundable and can not be purchased using PokéCoin.

Masterwork Research: Wish Granted will be available for purchase until Monday 20th March 2023 from the in-game store and we’ve outlined how to buy it at the bottom of this page.

If you do decide to buy the quest, it will be available immediately after purchase and, thanks to its lack of deadline, you can complete it at your own pace. It will, however, take you some time since Masterwork Research quests are designed to be long!

Free-to-play Go Tour Hoenn Global features

Aside from the one piece of pay-to-play content above, there’s a host of activities and features available to players for free during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event.

This includes the Ruby vs Sapphire Challenge , which asks trainers to pick a team and then complete a special Field Research task every hour. Depending on which team wins, two bonuses inspired by said team will occur in the next hour, such as an increased number of Primal Raids for a certain Pokémon.

Your choice in team also decides whether you can encounter either Latias or Latios in the wild and which Photo Safari quest you have access to.

Pokémon Go Hoenn Tour.

Rotating habitats also return! When one of these four habitats takes the stage a selection of Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild. Each habitat has its own Global Collection Challenge which you have until 6pm (local time) on Sunday 26th February to complete. If you’d like to learn which Pokémon these are, along with the Pokémon included in the Global Collection Challenges, then visit the section below.

By using Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, throughout these habitat hours, you'll also increase your chances of encountering Unown E, H, N and O.

During these habitat hours, you’ll also encounter two new costume Pikachus who’s designs are inspired by the protagonists of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire - a Pikachu wearing Brendan’s hat and a Pikachu wearing May’s bow.

The following Pokémon are also having their shiny forms released as part of the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event:

pokemon go go tour hoenn

This means all of the Gen 3 shiny Pokémon forms are now available in Pokémon Go!

There’s also the Chasing Legends special research quest to keep you busy while hunting Pokémon, which will be available to all players. Since Nianitc has described Chasing Legends as a special research quest, it most likely won’t have a deadline leaving you free to complete it whenever you like. We, however, highly recommend completing it during the Go Tour: Hoenn event, because this will make some of the challenges easier to complete.

To unlock this quest, you must first complete the Primal Rumblings special research quest and select a team - Ruby or Sapphire . You also need to play Pokémon Go during the Go Tour: Hoenn event to ensure you have access to Chasing Legends.

Storyline-wise, Chasing Legends will see you investigating the Red and Blue Orbs alongside Rhi and uncovering their connection to Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon.

pokemon go go tour hoenn

On the subject of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event sees their world-wide release after their introduction during the Las Vegas version of the event.

Both Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre will be appearing in Primal Raids throughout both days of the event - Saturday 25th February and Sunday 26th February. Defeating these legendary variants will reward you with Primal Energy , which, just like Mega Energy with Mega Evolutions, will allow you to transform a regular Kyogre or Groudon into their Primal form.

Primal Kyorge and Primal Groudon are incredibly powerful Pokémon, but these forms can only be maintained for a short period of time so use your Primal Energy wisely!

Alongside Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, the following Pokémon will be appearing in raids :

Any egg you collect during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event will also keep to the egg pools listed below:

We highly recommend searching out those 10km eggs, because Torkoal, Tropius and Relicanth are all regionally exclusive . Relicanth can be especially hard for trainers to find outside of events due to it only appearing in New Zealand and the islands surrounding this country, such as Fiji and Samoa.

You can also use the Regice, Regirock and Registeel codes to unlock timed research quests, which, when completed, will give you encounters with these three legendary Pokémon!

There’s also a range of new avatar items in the in-game store for you to purchase, including tracksuits inspired by Groudon and Kyogre, a Kecleon Bag and clothes inspired by the playable characters from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Don’t forget about the special Go Tour: Hoenn stickers !

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Finally, in keeping with tradition, there will be a selection of new music , inspired by Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, composed by Junichi Masuda playing throughout the event.

The Shared Skies Season is here! The road to Go Fest 2024: Global has also begun with Inbound from Ultra Space ! Don't forget to try out Routes , Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon , fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases .

There are four habitats during the Go Tour: Hoenn Global event - Blistering Sands, Eerie Mists, Verdant Earth and Ancient Shores. Throughout these habitats a selection of Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild and each has its own Global Collection Challenge, which is available to all players.

The habitats follow a local time schedule, which means that, no matter where you live, the Go Tour: Hoenn event will start with the Blistering Sands habitat at 10am. The habitats will then rotate every hour throughout the two event days - Saturday 25th February and Sunday 26th February. Each habitat will appear four times across the event, which means, each one will be available for a total of four hours.

This grants you ample time to catch the Pokémon spawning more frequently in the wild during these habitat hours and, below, these habitat hour Pokémon listed:

Don't forget - by using regular Incense, you'll increase your chances of encountering Unown E, H, N and O.

To purchase a ticket, you need to visit the in-game Pokémon Go store, which is accessed via the game’s main menu. From there, you’ll easily be able to spot the Masterwork Research: Wish Granted banner - it’s the one with Jirachi!

Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn full event schedule

Image of Cale Michael

The first massive Pokémon Go event of 2023 is finally here, with players traveling to Las Vegas getting the first crack at Pokémon Go Tour: Hoenn right before it hits the global stage a week later—bringing with it the first appearances of Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. But that also means players will want to see the full event schedule and plan out their approach.

Because there is an in-person and digital global event for Go Tour: Hoenn, it is being split between two weekends, with a smaller connecting event called Primal Rumblings running to keep things rolling leading into the global event.

Players in Las Vegas got first dibs on all of the new Go Tour content on Feb. 18 and 19, but now it is time for the global event on Feb. 25 and 26.

Just like with most of these big Pokémon Go events, players will see habit rotations in play that will swap which Pokémon are spawning more frequently in the wild each hour. There are also two Primal Surge habitats that tie into the Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge running between players picking different versions.

Eggs acquired and hatched during the two Pokemon Go Tour - Hoenn events will provide you with different event-themed Pokemon.

Make sure to obtain and hatch these eggs during the event window for a chance to get one of the following Pokemon.

There will be a change in the Pokemon found in the wild during this event, mainly those that were originally found in the Hoenn region of Pokemon.

The Pokemon that you encounter will vary depending on which habitat you are playing the game in, including the Blistering Sands habitat, Eerie Mists habitat, Verdant Earth habitat, and Ancient Shores habitat.

Additionally, there will be a Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge taking place throughout this event, requiring those who participate to choose either Team Ruby or Team Sapphire.

As a result of this, there will either be Ruby or Sapphire-themed Pokemon encounters in the wild, changing each hour depending on which team completes more Field Research tasks.

Both the Team Ruby and Team Sapphire wild Pokemon encounters can be found below.

Two new costumed variations of Pikachu will also be available for the Pokemon Go Tour - Hoenn event.

One costumed Pikachu will be wearing Brendan's Hat, and the other will be wearing May's Bow, both inspired by characters in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.

Make sure to participate in this event while it is available for a chance to encounter and catch these exclusive event-themed costumed Pokemon.

Following the completion of the Primal Rumblings Special Research Story, you will be tasked with choosing either Team Ruby or Team Sapphire, impacting what takes place during this year's Pokemon Go Tour.

After making this decision, you will receive either a Ruby or a Sapphire badge, determining which team you will be working with throughout the course of this event.

As a result, you will have access to special event Field Research Tasks, completed to help support your specific team.

Depending on which team has completed more of these Field Research Tasks each hour, you will encounter either Ruby Pokemon Spawns or Sapphire Pokemon Spawns.

Additionally, you will see a change in the Primal Raids each hour depending on which team has completed more Field Research Tasks.

If Team Ruby has completed more, there will be more Primal Groudon Raids, or if Team Sapphire has completed more, there will be more Primal Kyogre Raids.

Lastly, you will have the opportunity to encounter either Latios or Latias in the wild, determined by whichever team you have selected.

If you opt for Team Ruby , you will have the chance to encounter Latios in the wild, while if you choose Team Sapphire , you will have the chance to encounter Latias in the wild.

During this event, taking a snapshot of either Latios or Latias in the wild will provide you with an additional encounter with that Pokemon.

All in all, there is no concrete answer regarding whether you should choose Ruby or Sapphire, essentially being a matter of preference .

Make your choice based on the Pokemon that are associated with each team , including Wild Pokemon, Primal Pokemon, and Latios or Latias.

Regardless, you can encounter and catch Pokemon from both Team Ruby and Team Sapphire, so don't worry about missing out based on your decision.

That being said, ensure you're completing as many Field Research Tasks for your team, increasing the likelihood of your team emerging victorious each hour.

Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn: Should you choose Ruby or Sapphire?

The next Pokemon Go Tour travels to the Hoenn region, but which version should you choose?

Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn art showing Primal Reversion

Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn is upon us and trainers will have to make a choice. Just like when the Gen 3 games came out, players had to choose the Ruby or Sapphire version to play, and the same will happen when the latest tour begins. The two-day event will feature Pokemon from the Hoenn region, and depending on which version trainers choose they’ll see varying wild encounters.

On Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 trainers will only experience the Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. local time. Being prepared for when the event begins will benefit trainers looking for specific Pokemon, and coming up with plans to conquer Raids and complete quests. Without further ado, this guide will explain all the aspects of the Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn event.

Should Pokemon Go Trainers Choose Ruby or Sapphire?

First and foremost, the big decision. Should you select the Ruby (Primal Surge: Groudon) or Sapphire (Primal Surge: Kyogre) path for the Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn event?

Teams will compete in the Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge, and as they do so certain Pokemon – aside from the usual wild encounters, which we’ll explain in a bit – will appear in the wild based on hourly results. As with every Hoenn-region Pokemon appearing in this event, they all have a chance to appear as a Shiny.

Complete Field Research on behalf of your team to increase your chance of encountering the version-exclusive Pokemon.

  • Primal Surge: Groudon (Ruby) Pokemon - Plusle, Volbeat, Trapinch, Solrock, Castform Sunny Form
  • Primal Surge: Kyogre (Sapphire) Pokemon - Minun, Illumise, Wailmer, Lunatone, Castform Rainy Form

Trainers looking for an answer to the question of which version to choose, it’s really up to them. If you’re lacking one or more of these Pokemon you should go for that version. Or if you’re looking for a specific Shiny of those listed above, go for that.

Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn New Shinies, Raids and Wild Encounters

Key art for Pokemon Go Tour Hoenn

As the name suggests, the Pokemon Go Hoenn tour will feature Pokemon from the Gen 3 region. During the two-day event, the habitats in Pokemon Go will change and with it comes different Pokemon. Each hour, the habitat will change. Here’s the list of habitats and the Pokemon that will appear more frequently in the wild.

  • Blistering Sands: Torchic, Poochyena, Lotad, Nincada, Makuhita, Nosepass, Aron, Cacnea, Numel, Baltoy, Bagon
  • Eerie Mists: Ralts, Surskit, Whismur, Meditite, Spoink, Zangoose, Seviper, Chimecho, Absol, Snorunt, Luvdisc, Beldum
  • Verdant Earth: Treecko, Zigzagoone, Wurmple, Seedot, Shroomish, Slakoth, Skitty, Mawile, Electrike, Roselia, Gulpin, Swablu
  • Ancient Shores: Mudkip, Taillow, Wingull, Carvanha, Barboach, Corphish, Lileep, Anorith, Feebas, Spheal, Clamperl

As for the debuting shinies, trainers will be able to catch a Shiny Unown H, Surskit, Gulpin, Torkoal, Cacnea, Tropius and Relicanth for the first time.

Regarding the Raids, trainers will have plenty of chances to catch some of the most iconic Pokemon from the Hoenn region. In One-Star Raids, Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip will appear. In Five-Star Raids, all formes of Deoxys will appear, giving trainers another chance to catch the Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed formes of this Mythical Pokemon.

And then we have the new Primal Raids. These Raids will act similarly to Mega Raids in that a group of trainers will need to take down powerful Pokemon to earn enough Primal Energy to transform Kyogre or Groudon into their Primal forms. As such, trainers will have to take down Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre to earn this new currency.

In addition, catching the Groudon or Kyogre afterward will award trainers with a Legendary with an exclusive move. Kyogre caught during this time will know the move Origin Pulse while Groudons will know the move, Precipice Blades.

Eggs will also have the pool of Pokemon that can hatch from them change during the event. Pokemon that can be hatched from 2km Eggs during the Hoenn tour include Pichu, Igglybuff, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Azurill and Wynaut. Surskit, Gulpin and Cacnea can be hatched from 5km Eggs while Trapinch, Feebas, Bagon and Beldum are found in 7km Eggs. The region-exclusive Pokemon, Torkoal, Tropius and Relicanth can be hatched from 10km Eggs, so be sure to pick up as many as you can before the event ends.

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global Prep Guide

July 03, 2024

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global Prep Guide

Be your go fest best with some thoughtful preparations..

P okémon GO Fest 2024: Global is the biggest Pokémon GO event of the year, taking place on July 13 and July 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day—a whirlwind of catching, researching, trading, and Raid Battles—that’s just 16 hours to pack in all the fun! More than 70 Pokémon species will make an appearance, but the undeniable belle of the GO Fest ball is Necrozma, which will make its global Pokémon GO debut in raids over the weekend. And there is plenty of incentive to take on lots of raids: Necrozma will be available to battle on Saturday, July 13, and Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma will be throwing down the gauntlet on Sunday, July 14! But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Seeking out this Legendary Pokémon in all its forms is only one part of a weekend packed full of fun!

Every Trainer’s GO Fest 2024 experience will be unique, shaped by their own individual interests and goals. For example, Trainers looking to catch as many Shiny Pokémon as possible will naturally have a different focus than those hoping to improve their GO Battle League performance.

To keep up with the abundance of activities, there are some steps you can take in the week leading up to the event to help maximize your experience and have as much fun as possible, and we’ve got tips to help everyone meet their goals no matter what your plans are. From making space in your Pokémon storage for all the new pals you’ll catch to researching meetups near you for making new friends, here are some things you can do ahead of time to enhance your experience during the event.

Taking Stock

pokemon go go tour hoenn

There are some critical items that you’ll need in bulk during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global. With so much happening during the event, making sure you’re well-stocked and ready with storage beforehand will allow you to focus on having fun during the event. Here are some tips to consider with your Item Bag (both in-game and real life) before the event.

Upgrade your Item Bag: For those who are already struggling with an overstuffed Item Bag, upgrading in advance could alleviate the stress of having to clear out your items during the event.

Upgrade your Pokémon Storage: There’s nothing worse than wanting to catch a Pokémon in the wild only to realize your Pokémon storage is full. Rushing to transfer Pokémon to the professor before that wild Pokémon flees is probably not how you want to spend your limited event time. To save yourself time and stress, transfer Pokémon or upgrade your Pokémon storage before the event starts.

Stock up on Poké Balls: The heart of any Pokémon GO event is catching Pokémon, and to do that, you need Poké Balls. Though you’ll probably be spinning PokéStops and Gym Photo Discs during the event, stocking up on Poké Balls beforehand will give you a great head start.

Grab some healing Potions and Revives: If you’re planning on participating in raids—and with Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma making their debut, you probably are—you’ll need Potions and Revives to keep your Pokémon topped up and ready to dive into the next battle.

Load up on Star Pieces and Lucky Eggs: During Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, Star Pieces will earn you an additional 50% Stardust, and Lucky Eggs double your XP gained while active, so you’ll definitely want to have some ready to go!

Don’t forget food, drinks, and sunscreen: While Revives and Potions are vital for your Pokémon, it’s also important to look out for your own health during the event. Be sure to make time for meals, hydrate, and protect your skin from the sun. Pokémon GO Fest is about having fun, so don’t risk playing hangry and sunburned—drink up, snack up, and sunscreen up!

To Ticket or Not to Ticket

pokemon go go tour hoenn

You don’t need a ticket to have a great time during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, but if you’re debating whether to purchase one, it’s better to decide before the event starts. A global event ticket costs US$14.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) and can be purchased in the in-game shop. To help you decide, here’s what you’ll enjoy if you buy a ticket.

pokemon go go tour hoenn

On Saturday, ticket holders will have access to a Special Research story that will award an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow. On Sunday, ticket holders can access a Special Research story focused on Necrozma.

During habitat hours on Saturday, ticket-holding Trainers will be able to work together to complete Global Challenges and earn special bonuses that stay active for the remainder of each hour. Additionally, certain Pokémon will be attracted to Incense during habitat hours. These include Unown A, Unown D, Unown G, Unown H, Unown I, Unown N, Unown T, and Unown Y as well as Corsola in the Shining Day habitat, Maractus in the Dawn Meadow habitat, Vullaby in the Darkest Night habitat, and Rockruff in the Creeping Dusk habitat.

Ticket holders will also enjoy some exclusive bonuses, including an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, up to six Special Trades per day, up to nine Raid Passes per day from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, special 7 km Eggs, and double friendship bonus damage in raids. Depending on your goals for GO Fest 2024, these bonuses could give you a significant edge, especially for Trainers hoping to catch tons of Shiny Pokémon and participate in lots of raids.

Finding Friends

Playing Pokémon GO is always fun with friends, but don’t forget the other practical reasons to coordinate with friends during GO Fest 2024. This is the first year in which Trainers can use Party Play during the event, which will be helpful for defeating Necrozma more quickly in raids—Party Power can boost Charged Attacks, allowing your group to deal damage more quickly.

Additionally, Trainers who purchase a Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global ticket can make up to six Special Trades per day during the event, so having friends nearby to trade with (and deciding in advance which Pokémon you would like to trade) is a good way to prepare. If you’re interested in making some new friends, you can do some research and find the nearest Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global event or meetup near you.

Research Ready

While it’s impossible to determine which research tasks you’ll get during GO Fest 2024, past events tended to have common research themes. You can’t complete research task objectives before you receive them, but there are still a few things you can do to prepare. First, practice your Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws. Making these is a common objective in research tasks, and even if you don’t receive these types of tasks, being able to make these skillful throws is an important aspect in Pokémon GO. Second, make sure you’re using the tagging feature . Research tasks often include powering up, evolving, and purifying Pokémon, so tagging the applicable Pokémon before the event is a great way to save time.

Best Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global Pokémon for GO Battle League

pokemon go go tour hoenn

With more than 70 Pokémon species appearing in the wild and in raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, Trainers interested in building teams for the GO Battle League might find it difficult to determine which Pokémon to catch. Certain Pokémon that will be appearing during the habitat hours on Saturday and in the wild on Sunday tend to be popular in PvP, so watch out for these Pokémon and catch as many of them as possible to earn Candy and Stardust to power them up and teach them optimal Charged Attacks.

Dawn Meadow Habitat

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Pidgey will appear during the Dawn Meadow habitat hour, and while it isn’t hugely competitive in the GO Battle League itself, its Evolution, Pidgeotto, evolves into Pidgeot, which is an excellent choice for the Great League and Ultra League. Wingull is another Pokémon that will appear, and its Evolution, Pelipper, is a solid choice for the Great League. Last but not least, Galarian Stunfisk will also appear, and it is an enduring presence in the Great League and Ultra League—and it won’t require evolving to be battle ready.

Shining Day Habitat

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Two Pokémon appearing during the Shining Day habitat hour have final Evolutions that shine in the GO Battle League. Specifically, Charmander’s final Evolution, Charizard, is a solid choice for the Great League and Ultra League, and Dratini’s final Evolution, Dragonite, is a powerhouse in the Ultra League and Master League.

Creeping Dusk Habitat

pokemon go go tour hoenn

Eevee will appear during the Creeping Dusk habitat hour, and while it’s always worth catching for its plethora of Evolutions (all of which require Candy to power up), its Evolutions Umbreon and Sylveon are particularly competitive in the Great League and Ultra League. Phantump is another Pokémon that will be creeping through the dusk, and its Evolution Trevenant is a frequent contender in the Great League and Ultra League.

Darkest Night Habitat

pokemon go go tour hoenn

This habitat hour features two Pokémon that don’t require evolving to perform well in the Great League: Gligar and Carbink. Additionally, Mudkip will appear in this habitat, and its final Evolution, Swampert, is a longstanding powerhouse across the Great League and Ultra League. All three of these Pokémon are well worth catching during this event.

Now, take advantage of these tips to be your Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global best, Trainers!

All Ditto Disguises In Pokémon GO (March 2024)

W ith the arrival of a new month comes the need to check what disguises Ditto likes to use in Pokémon GO . Ditto is an infamously difficult Pokémon to catch, as unlike every other Pokémon, it does not appear as itself on the map. Instead, it takes the form of a different Pokémon and only reveals itself after capture.

Ditto maintains a list of disguises that undergo various changes as time passes. Sometimes, the list replaces one Pokémon with a new disguise, while other months completely overhaul the preexisting list. As such, if you have yet to catch this purple Pokémon, you will need an updated list to find it.

Pokmon GO: Every Pokmon You Can't Trade (& Why)

All pokémon that could secretly be ditto (march 2024).

Niantic, the company behind Pokémon GO , loves to update Ditto's disguises to match the year's changes. However, the current list of Ditto disguises in Pokémon GO has not changed from the options available in February 2024. This means Ditto can disguise itself as one of eleven different Pokémon spread across seven generations.

When it comes to catching a Shiny Ditto in Pokémon GO , don't expect any visibly Shiny Pokémon to secretly be a Ditto. If a Pokémon is a Shiny variant, it cannot be a Ditto . Shiny Dittos appear in the same disguises as regular Dittos. Each Pokémon disguises listed above has a one in 64 chance of being a Shiny Ditto.

If you're overwhelmed by all the possible disguises, try focusing on catching Oddish and Goldeen . These Pokémon are ubiquitous sights, making them a prime target for Ditto farming.

Some older players may already have a Shiny Ditto from completing the Kanto Tour Pass in February 2021. However, you will have to grind for this rare Pokémon the traditional way. While Ditto may not be a great asset in combat, it is still a badge of honor to have a Ditto in your collection in Pokémon GO .
