Desired Europe
Hi Europamundo has designed very good tour itineraries but it totally depends on the interest of he tour guides on that day or trip. We found most of the guides not interested to give the best value for the guests, to give you an example our tour guide was giving least time at places of tourist importance and giving extra time at stops of service stations where he is relaxing . Everyone was disturbed as he was rushing us at places of tourist importance and within 30 mins of leaving town he says 1 hour break at service station. Please from now on give instructions that maximum time should be allocated for tourist purpose. Rwegards Ravi

The tour was good but if you're looking for a tour with one guide and the same group - forget about it. People around you will be changing constantly as well as guides. If you're ready for this challenge - go on. And be prepared for 2 languages groups even if you have choose the 1 language.... I had 4 guides during this 11 days and would like to say my special thank you for Emma - the best guide you can imagine. Her bubbly personality, her professionalism will make your trip unforgettable. Sorry Maria and Majid - guys, I enjoyed your company but Emma - just over the top.

Vibrant Europe
Best of Eastern Europe- Prague, Vienna and Budapest
This was an excellent tour and the customer service from Wise Yatra was outstanding. We were upgraded to (European) 4 star hotels, there was a What'sApp phone call to review our itinerary before the trip, our agent kept checking in with us during the trip, it was amazing.

Private Tour: 3 Countries in One Week: Prague - Vienna - Budapest
Wonderfull tour. All Went great
Majestic Europe and Magical Spain
Even though I don't regret doing this tour since it saved us a lot of hassle heaving our heavy luggage around when travelling between cities as well as troubles navigating, you won't get good value for money. We only had one meal with the group, which made it more difficult to make friends and really bond with everyone in the tour. The main let down for me was how little the price included- we had to pay entry for the majority of locations, and the tour guides doesn't even walk us around locations, they just dropped us off, gave a few tips on where to go and then we were left to roam by ourselves. Considering the price, entrance to the Sagrada Famillia would definitely shouldve been included. The bus was really comfortable but driving took the whole day so we should've taken the train instead.
What people love about Europe Tours from Prague
the route was had a good amount of variety. The guide did an amazing job even though she was on her own. The company needs to better communicate hotel changes since I had booked extra nights in Budapest and had to move hotels.
The tour was very well organise and managed but what really mad it extra special was our guide Greg. His passion and love for what it does carries through out the entire journey. He communicated very well managing everyone’s expectations always, knew his subject and had always valuable tips and info for each place we visited. There is no doubt this tour was a success greatly because of his input attention to details and high energy!
We had seen the places that was in the itinerary. The tour guides were good at what they do. Overall, we had a wonderful trip. Thank you tour radar and europamundo. I hope to schedule another family trip in the future.

What travelers say about their trips to Prague
Travel tips for prague trips.
There’s no bad time of year to travel to Prague, but here’s a list by season:
- Springtime brings beautiful weather and the perfect chance to visit Chateau Sychrov during an excursion on our Prague tours
- Summer is best for beer enthusiasts, when the annual Prague Beer Festival pops off in June
- Fall means magnificent tree colors, fewer crowds, and misty mornings
- Winter is the perfect time to experience the magic of Christmas markets and hot mulled wine
If you’re planning a trip to Prague, you’ll want to visit the majestic medieval architecture of Old Town Square, walk up Petrín Hill for a panoramic view of the cityscape, check out the giant baby statues in Kampa Park, and browse the Naplavka Farmers Market.
And whether or not you’re a Beatles fan, you’ll love the Lennon Wall. Dedicated to the late legend, it’s covered with Beatles-inspired art and lyrics about selfless acts and global causes. It’s a truly breathtaking sight.
Read the Prague Travel Guide to learn more about what to do, see, and eat on our Prague trips.
If you’re planning a trip to Prague, you should make sure to see these sites:
- Prague Castle. This enormous 9th-century structure, once home to princes and kings of Bohemia, is now the president’s seat and an incredible place to explore on our Prague tours .
- St. Vitus Cathedral . This Roman Catholic cathedral is the largest church in the country and it’s well known for its Gothic architecture.
- Charles Bridge . Some recognize this bridge by the 30 statues of saints that line the edges. According to legend, the statues come alive at night and roam around the city.
- Prague Astronomical Clock. This colorful, intricate, 15th-century clock at the Old Town Hall has three main parts: the astronomical dial, an hourly “show” where the Apostles on the clock dance around, and a calendar dial that represents months.
As you research different Prague trips, you’ll learn that Prague’s weather is a bit unpredictable. Here’s what to bring so you can make the most of it:
- Lots of layers, so you’ll always feel comfortable
- A warm coat, hat, gloves, and scarf, even if you visit in spring and fall
- Rain gear—especially if you choose one of our summertime Prague tours
- A backpack to carry any warm layers, your umbrella, and, of course, souvenirs
Vepro knedlo zelo is one of the national dishes of the Czech Republic. It’s made with pork, sauerkraut, and dumplings. Locals roast all that savory goodness and serve it with a gravy made of onions and caraway seeds.
Goulash is another must-try food. This popular beef dish showcases a rich gravy with plenty of paprika—a very common spice in Eastern Europe. Travelers love to order a plate on our Prague tours.
Trdelnik is an all-time favorite for travelers on our Prague group tours. This doughy dessert is comparable to a chimney cake topped with cinnamon and sugar. We recommend that you also take the time to watch this delicious pastry as it’s roasted over an open flame. Around Christmastime, you’ll find many trdelnik stalls in the streets, so make sure to pick up a freshly-made treat (or three!).
Whenever people ask us what to know before visiting Prague, we recommend reviewing our Prague Travel Guide . This is full of tips on what to do, where to go, what to say, and even what to eat and drink.
When you go guided on our Prague tours, you get to see all the city has to offer without having to plan a thing. We’ll take you to the top sites, and you’ll still have some free time to explore on your own, too. Our Prague guided tours also feature local guides who can show you what everyday life is like. 2024 Tour Itinerary
Passengers who purchase flights will depart 1 day before the tour starts and return on the same day as the tour ends.
Note: Flights are not available on departures.
You can find more details on the Before You Depart page.
Day 1: Arrive in Prague
Welcome to Prague, the "City of a Hundred Spires," and the capital of the Czech Republic. Travelers who purchased our air-inclusive program will be met and transferred to our centrally located hotel. This evening our tour director hosts an orientation followed by a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Prague
This morning's sightseeing takes us to the Jewish Quarter of Prague, a former Jewish ghetto dating back to the 13th century. Here, we'll visit the Jewish Museum. Originally established in 1906, this is one of the oldest Jewish museums in Europe. The balance of the day is at leisure with time to unwind at an outdoor cafe, shop in the bustling markets, or delve into more of Prague’s intriguing sights.
Day 3: Prague
Today we'll explore beautiful Prague, which once served as the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. After breakfast, we'll cross the Vltava River to see the Royal Castle of Hradčany, the largest ancient castle complex in the world. Here, we'll visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. Later, in Prague's old town, we'll view the Old Town Square, the famous Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Church, the Charles Bridge, and more. The rest of our day is at leisure to explore Prague independently.
Day 4: Prague – Telč – Dürnstein – Vienna
Today we'll depart Prague for Vienna, "the City of Waltz." Our drive takes us through rich farmlands to the rolling hills of Moravia (the Easternmost province of the Czech Republic). We'll see the charming buildings and beautiful surroundings of Telč, before we continue across the Austrian border to the quaint town of Dürnstein. Later in the day, we’ll reach Vienna, one of Europe’s most elegant and grand cities. We'll have a short orientation tour of the city by bus with our tour director before arriving at our hotel for check-in.
Day 5: Vienna
Our day starts with a visit to St. Stephen's Cathedral, located at the heart of the city. One of Austria's most beloved landmarks, this limestone cathedral features colorful roof tiles that form the Royal and Imperial double-headed eagle and the coat of arms of the city of Vienna. Just a short walk away is the Hofburg Palace, a 13th century palace that characterizes the opulence of the Habsburg dynasty. Next, we'll view the baroque Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, and the UN Buildings. The rest of the day is at leisure. We can explore Vienna independently, or consider an optional excursion to the Vienna Woods (Wienerwald).
Day 6: Vienna
Today brings us to the Imperial Palace of Schönbrunn—with its 18th-century architecture, interiors, and vast gardens; it’s among the most impressive baroque structures in Europe. After the visit to the Palace, we'll have more free time to explore Vienna. We'll punctuate the day with dinner together in the Grinzing suburb, in one of the typical Viennese wine taverns called the “Heuriger”.
Day 7: Vienna – Bratislava – Budapest
This morning, we'll visit the nearby Café Residenz where we'll will experience a strudel-making demonstration and tasting. After we've enjoyed our delicious strudel, we say goodbye to Vienna and depart to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. For centuries, this city has been famous for its charm and beauty. The beautifully restored old town with its winding lanes and medieval courtyards is nestled between the steep Castle Hill and the Danube River. On a guided walking tour explore historic, lively pedestrian streets of this charming city where local street vendors offer regional gifts. Later, we'll continue on to Budapest where we'll begin our visit with a short orientation tour by bus. After check in, the evening is free for us to enjoy dinner on our own.
Day 8: Budapest
This morning, our local guide will introduce us to Budapest’s fascinating history and sights. Enjoy a breathtaking, panoramic view from the lookout terraces of the Fisherman’s Bastion, located on Castle Hill. We’ll also see the Citadel on Gellért Hill and Matthias Church, which was used for centuries for the coronations of Hungarian kings. This afternoon, we'll set sail on a leisurely one-hour cruise on the romantic Danube River to take in city views from the water. Afterward, we'll visit the famous Szechenyi Thermal Spa, one of the biggest natural hot spring spa baths in Europe. Here, we'll enjoy a relaxing medicinal soak in a historical setting.
Day 9: Budapest
Today we'll embark on a morning excursion to the scenic Hungarian countryside. We’ll journey to the artist’s town of Szentendre, a gem at the gateway to the picturesque Danube Bend River region where we'll have free time to explore its cobblestoned streets and Baroque charms. Then, we'll return to Budapest, where we can revel in its fine arts and architecture at our own pace. Tonight, we'll celebrate our great trip together at a festive dinner at a typical “Csarda” restaurant, including dinner, a glass of wine, and entertainment.
Day 10: Budapest – Krakow
After breakfast, we'll depart Hungary and travel to Poland (approximate 6 hour drive, not including comfort stops and a lunch break). We'll arrive in Krakow in the late afternoon and begin our visit with a brief orienation tour of the city before we check in to the hotel. This evening, we'll enjoy dinner together at our hotel.
Day 11: Krakow
After breakfast we'll start our sightseeing tour with a visit to Wawel Hill, where we can enjoy a view of the Royal Castle and a visit to the Royal Cathedral. Next, we'll enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town including the Main Market Square, Renaissance Cloth Hall, and St. Mary's Church. Finally, we'll explore the Jewish quarter of the city. The remainder of the day is free to rest and relax or explore Krakow independently. We can choose to go for a stroll, browse through the shops, sample some “sernik” or “szarlotka”, or simply relax.
Day 12: Krakow – Auschwitz – Warsaw
This morning we'll depart for Warsaw. En route we'll visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the notorious concentration camp from World War II and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, we'll journey to Czestochowa to visit the Yasna Gora Monastery, known for the blackened picture of the Virgin Mary, popularly called the "Black Madonna." Late his afternoon, we'll arrive in Poland's capital city, Warsaw. We'll have a brief orientation tour by bus with our Tour Director before we check into our hotel.
Day 13: Warsaw
This 700-year-old capital is a symbol of Polish nationhood and the will to survive against great odds. Our sightseeing tour includes a drive along the famous Royal Route from magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Park and Palace, the summer residence of the last king of Poland. Pass by the Palace of Science and Culture (known as the “wedding cake”), the Saxon Gardens, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, and Barbican. We'll continue with a walking tour of the Old Town, Old Market Square and St. John’s Cathedral. The rest of the day is free for shopping or a stroll through the city, with time to relax in one of the many parks or gardens.

I had an absolutely amazing tour with Helena. I booked the night before on a whim and was a little apprehensive about going alone, but I'm so glad I did. It was the highlight of my trip. The other people on the tour never showed so I ended up with a private tour and it was just perfection. Helena was absolutely wonderful, she went above and beyond. She was a walking encyclopedia on the city and gave me a tour that extended well beyond food. The next day I was able to retrace our steps and show some of the city to my husband and son. She had loads of suggestions and tips outside of the food scene and every one of them paid off. We had such a good day today because I took the tour with her yesterday. I saw parts of Prague I never would have otherwise. I got away from the tourist traps and saw real Czech life. I cannot recommend this enough. All the food was delicious, but the brewery boat marinated cheese and open faced sandwiches were my personal favourites, with the beef broth coming in a very close second. It was just the best day despite the miserable weather. If you have any doubts, dispel them and go for it, I'm so glad I did! 😍
Lukas was a fantastic guide through unique and delicious Czech food and dishes! Some favorites and some things I never would’ve tried without some help and explanation.
He was knowledgeable, personable, and funny. A great time and a great introduction to Prague and its food & culture!
Robert was an amazing tour guide! Had such a bubbly personality and was so knowledgeable! He made the tour so much more enjoyable! I had accidentally burnt my had (being a klutz) and he was very helpful and made sure I was okay the whole time. Highly recommend him!!!
Eva was an absolutely wonderful guide!! She made it so much more than just a food tour by sharing history about important events and buildings and even her own childhood stories about growing up in Prague. The food was amazing and you got a lot for the price. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour to anybody!
Took tour on 2023-05-08. Just us and one other couple . Thoroughly enjoyed the choices and breadth of the tour. Should have taken it at the beginning of our vacation. Host very knowlegible.
Zach was great! I love a good food tour with history along the way! He says he never wanted to be a teacher, but I learned more in 4 hours than I can imagine learning in a semester at school! Non beer options were readily available. I left so full I needed a nap.
Brilliant introduction to the food and history of Prague. Robert was an excellent, entertaining and knowledgeable host. Highly recommended, especially as something to do on your first day to explore the city.
Rob and Zach were absolutely amazing! Got to see some amazing local places with amazing local food that we got to try. We also were able to learn how to pour a Czech beer and learn to make a cocktail. Definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone wanting to step outside the crowded touristy areas!
Rob was knowledgeable, engaging, and enchanting. He did Prague justice. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a brain. Well done!
We enjoyed every bit of this tour. Helena was a great guide who knows a lot and tells with passion. She not only told us about the local food and habbits but also about architecture, the story of the shoe brand Bata and car brand Skoda, upon all of this we have seen some great churches. Keep up the good work!
Amazing tour with David! Food and vibes were great ❤️
We went on the food tour today with Petra, it was great to learn so much about the food and history of Prague. Petra is very easy going and it was like having a tour with a good friend, we laughed and ate amazing food. The best egg butty I've ever had in Sisters! Thank you so much. 😊
This tour was great! Portions and pacing were perfect. I didn’t leave hungry or stuffed. Food substitutions were very well accommodated. We had group members who were gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and with a nut allergy and everyone received food they could eat and enjoy. Our tour guide, Eva, was amazing. Also the restaurants on the tour were wonderful and not too crowded. We always had somewhere to sit. Plus, we got some unexpected bits of Prague history mixed in with the walks. Would highly recommend!
Our experience went beyond our expectations. Our guide was great - sharing history as well as introducing us to some of the most delicious food Prague has to offer. Our kids (ages 5 and 8) enjoyed themselves as well, and our guide was great with them. Overall a wonderful experience!
You absolutely get more than you pay for with this tour. Eva was our guide (twice!) and we enjoyed her stories as well as all the Czech cuisine. Come hungry, you'll have plenty to eat!

13 things to know before going to Prague, Czech Republic
Feb 22, 2024 • 6 min read
Here's what you should know about before heading to Prague © Michal Kalasek / Shutterstock
For a city that knows how to surprise, come to Prague .
Wander its beautiful medieval core, and you’ll soon be bumping into both fairy-tale vistas and provocative street art. At night , small, dimly lit doorways can lead to vast convivial beer halls, whereas riotous music clubs hide behind grand art deco facades. Whatever brings you to the eclectic Czech capital, though, it’s best not to be thrown completely off guard.
No matter the season , come prepared with these insider tips and make the most of a trip to Prague.
1. Choose where (and where not) to stay
With its abundance of soaring spires and must-see attractions, Staré Město (Old Town) is a good-looking and convenient base – but don’t overlook Prague’s other neighborhoods . The center is compact, and the neighboring districts of Malá Strana and Nové Město are also handy for the sights and have their own gauntlet of pubs, bars and clubs. Just be aware that Wenceslas Square transforms from a respectable shopping destination into party central after dark, and its glut of strip joints can attract roaming stag parties.
For those keen to see where locals kick back, head to the outlying districts. Both cosmopolitan Vinohrady and hip Holešovice have good-value stays, fun nightlife and top-notch transport links.
2. Pack comfy shoes and layers
Central Prague’s timeworn streets and alleyways are best explored on foot. Pack comfortable shoes that are cobblestone ready; high heels can lead to unfortunate pratfalls.
Besides dressing for upscale restaurants or a night at the theater, Czechs are a casual lot. Comfy layers – which can be peeled back in a subterranean pub and then restored during a blustery walk home – will help you blend in. Whatever the season, never discount the chance of a rain shower, so bring some kind of waterproof too.
3. The metro doesn't go all the way to the airport
Prague has an excellent affordable public transport system . Its main pitfall is that the metro doesn’t quite stretch to the airport. The cheapest route to Prague’s Old Town is to catch the often busy 119 bus to Nádraží Veleslavín station and then change to metro Line A. Tickets can be bought either in the visitor center or from machines in the terminals, which mostly accept contactless debit/credit card payments. If you’re staying close to Prague’s central train station, consider taking the slightly more expensive but direct Airport Express bus .
4. Pre-book your airport taxi for the best price
Opportunistic taxi drivers can be a problem. If you want to avoid hulking suitcases on and off buses, it’s best to arrange a transfer in advance rather than stepping into a cab outside the airport (or the main train station, for that matter). At the very least, ask about the price before you set off, and let the driver know you’ll want a receipt. Uber , Bolt and local company Liftago are popular ride-hailing apps.
5. Remember to validate your public transport ticket
Public transport tickets lasting from 30 minutes to three days can be bought at most newspaper stands, corner shops, and in all metro stations. Trams also have orange contactless debit/credit ticket machines onboard. Alternatively, you can use the PID Lítačka app . Just make sure to validate your ticket when starting your journey. This involves popping it into the yellow machine inside buses and trams or at the top of the metro escalators (or clicking the button on the app); forgetting can leave you with a hefty fine.
6. Prague’s not quite as cheap as it was (but it’s still good value)
Although prices have increased in recent years, Prague is still a good destination for budget-conscious travelers compared to many European capitals. The currency you’ll be spending is known as both Czech koruna and Czech crown. Beer remains refreshingly cheap, and a 500ml tanker will only set you back about 55Kč. A cappuccino is approximately 70Kč, and a decent traditional Czech meal costs around 200Kč. It’s usual to tip around 10% for table service.
Buying the Prague City Pass or Prague CoolPass means free and discounted admission to some key attractions and sightseeing tours, although you’ll need to work hard to make either worth the investment. If you’re on a budget, paying for a few key attractions and making the most of Prague’s free diversions makes more sense.
7. Don't expect much small talk
If you come from a culture where having a chat about the weather is the obligatory warm-up to every interaction, you may find the Czech approach more, well… abrupt. Czechs (like everyone) can be very warm and funny, but being reserved with strangers is common. Be polite, but it’s fine to get straight to the point.
8. English is widely spoken, but a little Czech is welcome
It’s common for people who live or work in Prague’s tourist hot spots to speak English. Menus and museum information boards will usually be translated into English, too. For the odd occasion where you’re struggling to be understood, it’s worth having the Google Translate app ready on your phone.
Despite the ubiquity of English in central Prague, some basic Czech is appreciated. Greet people by saying, " Dobrý den" (good day) or "Dobrý večer" (good evening). The more informal "Ahoj!" (hi/bye!) is best saved for close friends and relatives.
9. Try traditional Czech baked goods
Chimney-shaped cakes called trdelník are hawked at stalls by most tourist attractions, and they’re an Instagram favorite. The thing is: they aren’t Czech, but rather Slovakian or possibly Hungarian. So, sure, devour one of these sugar-encrusted towers (they’re delicious), but it’s also worth scouring local bakeries for some more traditional Czech treats. Keep a hungry eye out for kolaches – palm-sized, sweet-bread disks filled with poppy seeds or fruit jam.
10. There are ways to sidestep the crowds
Prague can get hectic, especially in the late spring and summer. To escape the hubbub, venture beyond the tourist triad of Charles Bridge , Old Town Square , and Prague Castle . For example, instead of jostling through selfie sticks, admire Charles Bridge from the river islands of Kampa or Střelecký ostrov. Also, consider swapping the carnival atmosphere of Golden Lane for a romantic stroll around the tranquil castle district of Nový Svět . And if it all gets too much, bag yourself a shady spot in one of Prague’s handsome parks (some come with beer gardens and sweeping city views).
11. Be wary of exchange rates that look too good to be true
Some unscrupulous currency exchanges promise brilliant deals and then charge hidden fees. When changing money, ask for the final amount in writing before handing over your cash, and make sure you get a receipt. If you believe you’ve been given a bad deal and have changed less than €1000, you have three hours to cancel the transaction. A more scam-proof alternative is to have a bank account that offers reasonable rates and low fees for international withdrawals and use an ATM (cashpoint).
12. Take standard safety precautions and use common sense
Prague is generally a safe city: violent crime rates are low, traffic rules are followed, and the tap water is clean. Take the same precautions you would in your home country and be especially vigilant about your belongings: pickpockets have been known to target crowded tourist areas, trains, and trams. Should you need emergency help, calling 112 guarantees an English-speaking operator.
13. Get travel insurance
The Czech Republic has high-quality health care. If you need a Schengen visa for entry, having medical insurance is mandatory. Visitors from the EU can get free emergency treatment in Prague by showing their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or, for travelers from the UK, the Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). It’s still advisable to take out travel insurance, as the cards do not cover all costs, such as medical repatriation.

Prague River Cruises
Winter in Prague, while cold, is beautiful. Crackling fires in traditional pubs provide warmth to patrons as they step in from the chill of the outdoors. Once inside, an array of hearty fare awaits; traditional dishes include roast pork with dumplings and pickled cabbage or garlic soup. A leisurely stroll across the Charles Bridge on a frosty morning is a picture-postcard sight. Bustling Christmas markets also offer delicious yuletide treats alongside a warming glass of Christmas cheer with spiced mulled wine.

The most spectacular European train routes to take in 2024
By Emilee Tombs
“Anything is possible on a train…” wrote Paul Theroux in The Great Railway Bazaar: By Train Through Asia … “a great meal, a binge, a visit from card players, an intrigue, a good night's sleep, and strangers' monologues framed like Russian short stories.” In other words, on a train the journey can be just as good as the destination, when done right. This is certainly true of Europe ’s rail network, which has been busily expanding over the last few years, offering discerning and increasingly sustainability-conscious travellers the opportunity to travel on sleeper trains to and from iconic European cities.
Here, we list some of the best new sleeper trains to take in 2024 and beyond, from the super luxe to more affordable, and the ones with the best views.
St. George's Basilica in Prague
Brussels to Prague on the European Sleeper
The Belgian-Dutch company, European Sleeper, launched in 2021 to ‘connect Europe by night’. With three tiers of cabin (seats, couchettes and sleepers) offering basic but comfortable snoozing options, they certainly make the idea of an overnight journey by train more appealing. The inaugural route from Brussels to Berlin stops in Amsterdam, so you can hop from bar to carriage, bed down for the night and wake up the next day with a pastry and a coffee in hand, while gazing out at the beautiful Elbe Valley in Switzerland. In March 2024, the line was extended to Prague, and European Sleeper plans to roll out a new route each year with connections to Scandinavia in the works.
From €39 (£34) round trip, www.europeansleeper.eu
Iconic Italy on La Dolce Vita Orient Express
The Orient Express needs no introduction, so it’s with great excitement that La Dolce Vita Orient Express will launch eight routes across Italy in 2025. Totalling over 16,000km of track, these routes weave slowly along iconic Italian routes, such as Venezia to Portofino, Sicily and the Italian Riviera. Suite cabins are like hotel rooms, with proper double beds, a sofa, table and two armchairs from which to enjoy the incredible views. There’s also a formal restaurant and a stylish bar, all designed by Dimorestudio as a resplendent ode to the golden age of Hollywood and rail travel. Food is also a key part of the offering, with menus curated by three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck that reflect the cuisine of the regions the train travels to. Obviously this isn’t a wallet-friendly experience, and given that pre-reservation opened in 2023, a golden ticket might be out of reach for most.
Prices from €2,500 (£2,140) per person per night in a deluxe cabin, and €3,700 (£3,170 per person per night in a suite, www.orient-express.com
Paris to Berlin with ÖBB Nightjet
Working with Swiss Federal Railways and Germany’s Deutsche Bahn, ÖBB has reinvigorated overnight routes linking cities in Vienna, Zürich, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and, more recently, Paris , Brussels and Amsterdam. Since December 2024, Paris to Berlin trains run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Paris, and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Berlin, taking between 13 and 15 hours. While these sleeper trains aren’t winning awards for style or luxe factor, they are comfortable and affordable, with showers and toilets in single and double cabins and a mini cabin option for those looking for the most affordable way to travel.

Cortina in the Dolomites
Rome to the Dolomites by Espresso Cadore
Before December 2023, the usual way for Italians living in the capital to get to the slopes was to take on an arduous eight-hour drive. But since the state-owned railway network FS Treni Turistici Italiani (TTI) launched the Espresso Cadore, it’s possible to leave Rome on a Friday evening at 9:40 p.m., and arrive at the resort of Calalzo di Cadore near Cortina, just in time for breakfast on Saturday morning. The views as you slide into the Alpine countryside are nothing short of mesmerising and the carriages themselves aren’t too shabby. The Espresso Cadore trains are recommissioned trains from the 1980s and 90s and have a delightfully retro feel as well as hotel-like services such as an all-night bar, in-room dining and a dedicated member of staff. TTI has plans for a Rome to Marseille route to come and Rome to Puglia in time for summer beach sojourns.
Expect to pay somewhere in the region of €160 (£134) for a bunk bed and €385 (£330) for a single cabin, which includes dinner and breakfast, www.trenitalia.com
Paris to Nice by Intercités
In 2023, France introduced new restrictions on air travel; namely, if the journey takes less than two-and-a-half hours by train, then it cannot be taken as a domestic flight. Lucky, then, that the country ’s rail network is a good one. The Paris to Nice sleeper route recently relaunched and makes a weekend minibreak par la mer post-Olympics a perfectly reasonable expectation. Trains depart from Paris Austerlitz at 8.51pm and arrive in Marseille at 6.55am. From there, the train weaves its way along the French Riviera, with the most picturesque parts of the journey viewed from carriages on the right-hand side, with fantastic sea views from Les Arcs all the way to Nice.
From €19 (£16) one way, www.sncf-connect.com
Warsaw to Munich with EuroNight
This is ÖBB again, run in collaboration with other countries’ national railways. EuroNight trains connect Warsaw to Munich via stops in Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Germany. The ‘Comfort’ sleeper carriages sleep two in single beds and are basic but have small bathrooms with a shower and a toilet. The approach to Munich as the train coasts through the lush, mountainous Bavarian countryside is the most spectacular part of the journey, and as you arrive in Munich at 10am you’ve the morning to really take it all in.
Expect to pay around €35 (£30) for a one way ticket, www.nightjet.com

The RockNRefill bottles and refill stations are located at the Eco-Villages in the main concourse at all shows. *The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can’t attend, they’ll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. Please note, a valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .

After China, Tesla Announces European Tour For Cybertruck Despite Sales Being Limited To US
E V giant Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is planning a Cybertruck tour in Europe after taking the stainless steel truck for a spin around China earlier this year. The vehicle, however, is not for sale in either of these geographies.
What Happened: Tesla on Sunday shared a short video teasing a tour starting April 30 across the European cities of London, Berlin, Venice, Barcelona, Prague, and Amsterdam, among others.
More details of the tour, the company said, will be made available on Tuesday.

This is Tesla’s second major Cybertruck tour outside of the U.S. In January, the company went on a tour across China.
In December, Tesla’s Vice President of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy told motoring publication TopGear that the Cybertruck might find it hard to get approval in Europe owing to laws that attempt to regulate external projections on vehicles. A month later, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that getting approvals for the Cybertruck in China, too, would be “ very difficult .”
Why It Matters: Tesla started delivering to customers in the U.S. in late November. It is currently ramping up production to meet the high demand. The company aims to deliver 250,000 units of the truck annually starting in 2025.
However, earlier this month Tesla recalled 3,878 Cybertruck vehicles over concerns of unintentional acceleration.
The company said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the accelerator pedal pad on the affected vehicles may dislodge and become trapped by the interior trim above the pedal, thereby causing it to accelerate without the driver intending to.
As for a solution, the company said it would replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly, free of charge to the customer.
