Reopened in 2023, Elbow Reef is a boutique resort on Abaco with seven king rooms and one bunk room with four full beds. If you need more than that for your group, you can rent the entire property, accommodating up to 24 guests. A private rental includes personalized concierge services, a full-service bar, and housekeeping. Rooms offer direct access to the beach, and there is also an infinity pool with loungers. Sweeney, whose father is an aircraft maintenance worker, first made his name by tracking Elon Musk’s flights in 2020 (which led to similar cease-and-desist letters) under the X (formerly known as Twitter) account ElonJet, which was suspended but still exists on other social-media platforms. The 21-year-old subsequently started a new account on X called @ElonJetNextDay, which has a 24-hour lag time complying with X’s rules, and continues to post Musk’s flight information.

Sweeney also revealed flight information regarding Russian oligarchs—an account that was also suspended—before turning to Swift.

“While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our client,” Swift’s cease-and-desist letter read. A spokesperson for the pop star told The Sun that Sweeney’s Instagram account, dedicated to Swift’s jet, had a “connection” to a man who was arrested in January outside of the singer’s Manhattan townhouse, though that connection was not made clear.  

Since the letter, Sweeney told The Sun he has heard nothing from Swift’s lawyers. “It’s pretty much like with Elon, you know, they’ll say something to intimidate the smaller person,” he said. “It’s the attention they’re getting that they don’t like.”

But others believe this flight tracking through open-source intelligence is not only a violation of privacy but could lead to physical endangerment.

“It’s akin to driving on the interstate and having anybody pick up your license plate to see who’s in the car and where you’re going,” Doug Carr, senior vice president of safety, security, sustainability, and international affairs for the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), told Robb Report . “This isn’t just about lifestyles of the rich and famous. It’s about basic security and not being able to track people in real time—which, by the way, is illegal anywhere else.”

The business jet trade association has seen impacts beyond celebrity shaming, with one chief executive’s aircraft tracked during an acquisition as part of a rival’s corporate espionage campaign. Another prominent NBAA member had a personal confrontation with an unstable individual who had stalked her. “Privacy sounds abstract, but it got personal for us quickly,” says Martha King, who cofounded pilot-training academy King Schools with her husband, John. “Now we’re more cautious flying into unknown airports.”

There are some indications that the public outing of private flying habits of the rich and famous has had an impact. LVMH’s Bernard Arnault sold his Bombardier Global in 2022 after intense public scrutiny, and now takes charter flights, where passenger manifests are not public. Swift seems to have switched to charter flights, Sweeney told The Sun, because he has noticed fewer flight hours on her jets this year. “The flyers are trying to hide the bad PR of [carbon] emissions,” he said to the BBC.

Sweeney’s now working on a video of Musk’s flights last year. He says the SpaceX founder will “probably not” be too pleased when it posts on X.

Inside billionaire Ankur Jain, Erika Hammond’s wild Egypt wedding: Private jets, pyramids and celebs

Billionaire Ankur Jain and former WWE wrestler Erika Hammond tied the knot Friday in an over-the-top ceremony that took place in front of the Great Pyramids in Egypt.

“We’re New Yorkers and there’s something so special about being in a completely different world environment,” Jain, the founder and CEO of tech company Bilt Rewards, told People following their nuptials.

“So we decided, our wedding is about having a moment together to celebrate the new beginning, having a really special party with our friends somewhere where you’re in a different world.” (Jain had originally suggested getting married in space, but Hammond was not keen on the idea.)

While the location of their wedding was unique, it wasn’t the only unorthodox detail about their celebrations: The couple had no bridal party and no wedding cake — although they did serve a birthday cake from Milk Bar.

“I had no idea what the napkins looked like or what the table setting looked like,” Hammond, 32, told People.

Jain, 34, added, “We’re not traditional wedding people. Why do you have to spend $20,000 on flowers? It doesn’t make sense.”

The couple worked to make their dream wedding with an event company called Vertex.

The one detail they were certainly involved in was the transportation of their wedding guests from the safari they brought them on in Africa back to Cairo for their ceremony.

Ahead of their welcome party, their private Egypt Air flight was halted by the South African government, leaving them in a huge bind. After the bride and groom stayed up hours trying to get their guests to Egypt, they eventually pulled it off — but it made their welcome event kick off three hours late.

“We partied until 5 a.m. having just the best opening night,” Jain recalled to People April 25. The event, which was held at the Muhammed Ali Palace, had a “Modern Cairo” theme and featured belly and fire dancers.

Jain and Hammond’s 130-person guest list was impressive as well. Some of the biggest celebrities celebrated their love, including Lance Bass and his husband, Michael Turchin, Robin Thicke and his wife, April Love Geary, “Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary and his wife, Linda, influencer Serena Kerrigan, several politicians and prominent businesspeople.

Thicke, 47, surprised guests with a performance, while Bass, 44, gave an impromptu show of “Bye, Bye, Bye” near the end of the night after a stunning fireworks show over the pyramids.

“We had the best time. It was so special,” Jain gushed to the outlet. “When the fireworks went off, it was one of the most spectacular moments. I was so emotional, I couldn’t even put it into words.”

The newlyweds met at Rumble Boxing, where Hammond is a founding member. She was also an instructor there when they first interacted.

A few years later, they hit it off and got engaged in November 2022.
