EPAC welcomes you to the dazzling world of Cabaret , a thrilling and seductive look at nightlife of 1930’s Berlin. Step into the Kit Kat Klub and immerse yourself in its intoxicating atmosphere where eager showgirls, charismatic performers, and a captivating Emcee transport you to a world of decadence, indulgence, and unbridled passion. As the dark shadows of political unrest loom, we follow the intertwined lives of American writer Cliff Bradshaw, the enigmatic Sally Bowles, and a vibrant ensemble of characters. Kirsten Scott has been seen on Broadway in   Jersey Boys ,  Big Fish , and  Follies . Regional:  Oklahoma! ,  The Wedding Singer ,  Grease . Television: Elementary, Quantico . Scott graduated from Carnegie Mellon University.

Mitchell opened and closed  Rock of Ages  off-Broadway in 2008. He then opened  Rock of Ages  at the Brooks Atkinson on Broadway in 2009 and closed it there in 2011. He re-opened  Rock of Ages  eleven weeks later at the Helen Hayes and then closed the Broadway run there in 2015. He opened the 1st national tour of  Rock of Ages  in Chicago in 2011, and then closed  Rock of Ages  in Las Vegas in 2016. He’s on the Original Broadway Cast Recording… of  Rock of Ages . He’s also done some other stuff.

PJ fronted the bands Blue Movie and Blood on the Stereo, sharing stages with Buckcherry, Winger, Biohazard, Loudness, and Neil Diamond. Other credits include  American Idiot  on Broadway,  Giant  at The Public,  Sleep No More  at The McKittrick, the 1st National Tours of  We Will Rock You  and  Mamma Mia! ,  Assassins  at Yale Rep,  Georama  at St. Louis Rep,  Next To Normal  at The Riverside Theater, and the LA revival of  Tommy . He’s played a cornucopia of D-Bags on Jessica Jones, Blue Bloods, Gotham, The Good Wife, Without A Trace , and had a line in  The Dark Knight Rises . Rock of Ages – 2024 International Dates of the Musical

It is just mid-year 2023 and I already start working on my 2024  Rock of Ages   International Tour list. I am sure that there will be some more shows added to my 2023 International Dates overview – but the Germans force me to open this one up earlier than I expected. Good news: there will be a professional cast rock party in 2024 in Europe again!

Rock of Ages – the German / Austrian / Swiss Tour

Is there a new epicenter of  Rock of Ages  in Europe. Right in the week when the United Kingdom DLAP tour closed down , ShowSlot announced that they will be on tour in 2024 again. Not too surprisingly, the critics were great, the people had fun and they want to rock more. I guess that this is not the final tour list. However, with the addition of the Munich tour dates, I felt it is a good moment to kick off the 2024 posting. Switzerland is new on the list for 2024 as well. With Bielefeld, Duisburg, Offenbach, Saarbrücken , Salzburg , Dresden and Graz , there are also some towns which will have their Rock of Ages  debut. The shows I envisage to visit are given in bold – hope to meet some of you around.

I did not want to publish this posting without having at least one additional show in 2024. Thus, I am really grateful for this one:

February 2024 – Monterey, TN, USA

Monterey is town right in the center between Nashville and Knoxville. There will be six shows of the  Youth Edition  of  Rock of Ages .

Show facts :

February 2024 – York, PA, USA

Another show I spotted for February is at The Belmont Theatre, a community theater in York, a city near Harrisburg in Pennsylvania. They show a total of seven performances.

March 2024 – Stockport, United Kingdom

Not that surprisingly, amateur theaters and minor production groups make use of the fact that there is no national licence on  Rock of Ages  in 2024. The first one on my list so far is the theater company NK TheatreArts, who are performing at The Forum Theatre in Stockport near Manchester.

March 2024 – Long Eaton, United Kingdom

Just a weekend later, the Gatepost Theatre Company is showing the musical in Long Eaton near Nottingham / Birmingham. Sme more shows including a double header on Saturday .

May to June 2024, Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Rock of Ages  is returning to Portsmouth. In the RoAdies Facebook group, somebody made me aware of the Benchmark Musical Theatre. They played their most recent production in the New Theatre Royal, so that is also the most likely venue for 2024.

May To June 2024 – Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

A rather exciting production is a professional cast, which is touring two theaters in Ontario in 2024. They kick of in Waterloo, which is just West of Toronto.

June 2024 – Dudley, United Kingdom

The Wolverhampton Musical Comedy Company is performing  Rock of Ages at the Dormston Mill Theatre in Dudley, which is a Suburb of Birmingham.

June 2026 – Penetanguishene, Ontario, Canada

From Waterloo, the production is heading North, but also not too far away from Toronto. Might be harder to spell the town name correctly than finding a spot in the theater.

September 2024 – Newcastle, United Kingdom

A company called Klass Productions is running this show in the Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House. Unfortunately, I could not find too much additional information on that show.

October / November 2024 – Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom

The Mayhem Theatre Company is doing their shows in Kingston upon Thames, a borough in Southwest London . They are casting at the time I enter this one to my “Rock of Ages” list. Thus, information is limited and ticketing has not yet started.

October / November 2024 – Stamford, United Kingdom

Stamford is a town East of Nottingham. The Seaton Starlights production team did present  Rock of Ages in 2017 already. Now they are back. The Thursday to Saturday shows are quite attractive to me, as Journey is playing Nottingham on Thursday. Thus, I will have a look on Friday.

October / November 2024 – Solihull, United Kingdom

Solihull is a Southeastern suburb of Birmingham. The amateur Creators Theatre Company are having five shows from Thursday to Sunday. I will have a look at the Saturday shows – look forward to them.

Preview – German / Austrian Rock of Ages Tour 2025

Comparably early, in mid-April 2024, the German tour announced initial tour dates for a 2025 tour, at least through Germany and Austria. I am sure that other dates will be added. It’s 1987, and aspiring rocker Drew Boley meets and falls madly in love with Sherrie, a fresh-faced Midwesterner who has recently moved to Los Angeles to chase her movie star dreams. Will their stars rise? Will their love last? Find out in the worldwide phenomenon featuring 28 classic rock tunes like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “We Built This City,” “The Final Countdown,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Here I Go Again,” “Harden My Heart,” “Can’t Fight this Feeling,” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

Rock of Ages  takes you back to the time of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical features the hits of bands including Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister and more.

It is 1987, and the fabled West Hollywood club the Bourbon Room is the seedy, sordid, vibrant heart of the Sunset Strip. The music venue has seen better days, but as run by chilled-out former rock impresario Dennis Dupree, and tended to by Dennis’s mischievous assistant Lonny, it is the essence of rock and roll. When bright-eyed young hopeful Sherrie Christian, a small-town girl who wants to make it as an actress, arrives in town, she bumps into Drew, a Bourbon Room busboy with dreams of rock and roll stardom. Love-struck Drew convinces Dennis to hire Sherrie, and the stage seems set for their romance. But when the Mayor of West Hollywood, persuaded by a couple of scheming German real estate developers, announces his intention to demolish the Bourbon Room and the entire gritty Sunset Strip, the stakes are raised. Dennis convinces rock god Stacee Jaxx, lead singer of megaband Arsenal, to play the band’s last show at the Bourbon Room, hopeful that the money raised will stop the building from being demolished. But Stacee, a man of massive charisma and massive ego, leaves destruction in his wake, sleeping with Sherrie and getting knocked out by his own band before the concert is over. In the midst of violent anti-demolition protests, Sherrie flees to a nearby strip club and Drew falls into the clutches of a boy band. Who can save the Bourbon Room, the young lovers, and the feuding Germans? Only Lonny, the “dramatic conjurer”, knows for sure.  Rock of Ages  is a big, brash, energetic tribute to classic rock, to over-the-top ballads and fierce guitar, to the gritty glamour and rough energy of the Sunset Strip. This jukebox musical features ‘80s hits such as “We Built this City”, “I Wanna Rock”, and “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

It’s Los Angeles at a time where the dreams are as big as the hair and where those self-same dreams can come true!

Rock Of Ages is an LA love story lavished with over 25 classic rock anthems. The show had extensive runs in the West End, on Broadway and in Las Vegas and was made into a star-studded Hollywood movie.

This hilarious musical comedy features the songs, including We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Here I Go Again, Can’t Fight this Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is, played loud and proud by an awesome live band.
