Geelong Travel’s huge World Travel and Cruise Expo is back and will be bigger than ever with some incredible deals on holidays. 

The Expo returns to the spacious exhibition halls at Kardinia Park with all the big names in travel showcasing their best deals. If you are looking for a quick get away or that luxurious trip of a lifetime the Geelong Travel and Cruise Expo is the best place to talk to the experts and book a fantastic deal. 

The day will see dozens of presentations  spread over three theatres from the leading tour companies where you can learn everything you need to know about the specalised tours on offer and talk to the reps and get a first hand account of whats on offer and what to expect on the tours available.

There will be great deals on European river cruising, Canada, Alaska rail and sea holidays,  Island getaways,  Luxury air travel and some offers for some of the latest  cruise liners with luxury and amenities never before seen at sea just to name a few.

Keep you eyes out in the local press for entry forms for your chance to will a luxury getaway courtesy of Geelong Travel.

Geelong Travel  who are locally owned and operated and located in High Street Belmont, put on the Geelong Travel and Cruise Expo and have many exclusive deals you just cant get anywhere else and being local and not just a number in a big corporate travel company’s ‘sausage factory’ you will get great service and know you holiday plans are in excellent hands.

The expo runs between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Sunday the 14th of October. Kardinia Park offers plenty of free parking and entry is on the La Trobe Terrace side of the stadium. The expo takes place in the brand new stand, so its also a great chance to see the Cats brilliant new facilities.

Presented by Geelong Travel, a proudly family owned and regionally operated business opening the world to keen travellers, the Travel & Cruise World Expo is a must-do for anyone with their sights set on exploration.

“This year we’ll have the most exhibitors at the expo than ever before. It is a terrific opportunity to hear from travel experts, but also to meet with likeminded travellers,” said Geelong Travel managing director, Stuart Coffield.

The World Expo on Sunday, February 5 from 10am to 4pm at the Geelong Football club, is free to attend, with free parking onsite.

Amongst over 55 presenters who are experts in domestic and international travel, cruising, wild expeditions or relaxing luxury tours, and more, there’s something on everyone’s bucket list.

Event goers will hear from guest speaker, Ray Martin, who will be aboard the Ghan Expedition, travelling through Australia’s Red Centre on 28 October, 2023.

Geelong Travel are providing an exclusive deal to Shepparton residents. When you book your package aboard the exclusive charter from Darwin to Geelong aboard the Ghan on October 28, 2023, it will cover your flight to Darwin and transfer between Shepparton and Melbourne Airport.

Geelong Travel reveals new Expo ad featuring Cats superstar Joel Selwood and partner Brit Davis

It’s time for the big day.

Joel Selwood and Brit Davis are back in the act for another hilarious Geelong Travel ad.

Along with an evolving acting career, Selwood, 31, is also an experienced Geelong Cats midfielder, who has 295 games to his name.

After years of unforgettable advertisements in a series extending back to 2016, the film centres on the pair’s wedding, coinciding with the pair’s actual exchanging of vows this weekend.

Of course it wouldn’t be the same without Geelong Travel managing director Stuart Coffield, who acts as best man, stands in as father-of-the-bride as presides over the service with some quirky vows you won’t hear at most weddings.

The happy couple then earns a ticket to the 2020 Geelong Travel and Cruise World Expo.

Mr Coffield said his many roles showed the lengths Geelong Travel went to so clients could have the perfect holiday.

“It was a pleasure to be Joel’s best man … to walk the gorgeous Brit down the aisle … and to don on the robes and officiate over the ceremony. We do anything for our clients,” he said.

In 2019, Mr Coffield was “the other man” ... arranging tickets to the expo.

In 2017, Selwood got down on one knee , only to present Davis a model boat to promote the travel extravaganza, while 2016’s was a cringeworthy performance featuring both Joel and Scott Selwood.

The 2020 shoot was written and directed by Melbourne-based director Erin Oliver, who herself was a wedding celebrant.

“We filmed the commercial at a small church in Geelong and you could have said it was the rehearsal to the rehearsal before Joel and Brit’s big day. I’m sure the real wedding will be just as fun,” she said.

Joel will also be speaking about his own travel experiences at the expo as well as Gary Ablett Jnr and headline presenter Ray Martin.

The 2020 Geelong Travel and Cruise World Expo will be held at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday, February 2.
