From there, you will visit the 6th-century church of Hagia Sophia, known for its Byzantine architecture and intricate mosaics.

You will proceed to explore the Basilica Cistern, which is renowned for its Medusa heads and is the most extensive water storage facility from the Byzantine era located underground. Afterwards, you will head to the Hippodrome, which was once the epicentre of sports and politics in Constantinople. Here, you can observe the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi, and the fountain of Wilhelm II.

Subsequently, you will proceed to the Grand Bazaar, which is recognized as the world's largest and oldest covered marketplace, comprising over 4,000 shops. Additionally, you will get a chance to witness two of Istanbul's most magnificent imperial mosques: the Suleymaniye Mosque, built by the renowned Ottoman architect Sinan in 1557, and the Blue Mosque, which is one of the most significant mosques globally and embellishes the Istanbul skyline with its blue Iznik tiles and stained glass.

He led us from site to site, asking us for our preferences through the day. Caner gave us great historical basis for the mosques and Turkish culture, info we wouldn’t have known about if we had not taken a tour. The highlight of the tour, was the visit to the carpet and ceramics stores. I came to Turkey swearing I wouldn’t buy a rug and I left with five. Three from this tour. The ceramics visit has a surprise that I won’t ruin, but my girls LOVED it and we left with a few new pieces of our own. One plate had moonstone making it glow-in-the-dark while another had gold throughout. Caner made sure to fit in time for the bazaar and took us to a trustworthy booth to buy jewelry. Caner is the local with all the connections and trustworthy network. We would have been dizzy and lost between the stalls without him! Our Old Town tour starts at 09:00 and ends at 16:30. As the name suggests, every corner of the peninsula stands out as a memory from the historical past. Formerly known as Constantinople, Sultanahmet bears the most important traces of both the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire. This special trip, which cannot be fit into one day, will take you to that period with the narrations of our experienced guides.

Our Old Town Tour starts from the Hippodrome or Sultan Ahmet Square. This square is important for chariot races in Roman and Byzantine times. We will visit the Blue Mosque, which is the second largest mosque in Istanbul after the Hippodrome and was built during the Ottoman Period. The mosque is famous for the blue Iznik tiles used in its construction and being the only Ottoman mosque with 6 minarets. Then we will visit Topkapi Palace, one of the iconic structures of Istanbul, located on the historical Istanbul peninsula between the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. An 86-carat diamond is displayed in the Imperial Treasury, which is the other part of the palace.

After the lunch break, we will continue our tour of the Old TownTour with the Hagia Sophia Mosque, a Late Antique temple in Istanbul, designed by the Greek geometers Isidoros of Miletos and Anthemius of Tralles. Hagia Sophia, which was built in 537 AD, was first converted into a mosque, then a museum, and then again into a mosque. It reflects the religious changes with the minarets of Islam, inscriptions and impressive mosaics of Christianity.

Golden Horn Tour

Our Golden Horn Tour starts at 09:00 in the morning and ends at 16:30. This tour will present sections from the most beautiful places in Istanbul. You will also see many clues about the living conditions of that period on the Golden Horn tour.

Our Guided Golden Horn Tour will start with the Süleymaniye Mosque, designed by Mimar Sinan, who is considered to be the world famous architect. This mosque was completed in 7 years from 1550 to 1557. The mosque is partially modeled in the Byzantine basilica-especially Hagia Sophia style. Afterwards, we will visit the Kariye Mosque, which was built in the Middle Ages and used as a Greek Orthodox church but has now been converted into a mosque. After having lunch, Dolmabahçe Palace, one of the remarkable works of the Ottoman Empire with 285 rooms, 46 halls, 6 baths and 68 bathrooms, will be our last stop. Day 1: ISTANBUL  

Welcome to Istanbul! Where the continents meet. Meet at Istanbul Airport: Once you arrive at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport, after the luggage claim, you will be greeted by a Romos Travel tour guide. And you will be informed about the tour schedule for the following days.

The market consists of 5,000 stores, 66 streets, 24 gates, and much more eye-pleasing architecture. Whirling Dervish Show:  A whirling dervish show is a captivating and mesmerizing performance that showcases the ancient mystical tradition of the Sufi order known as the Mevlevi Order. Originating in 13th-century Turkey, the whirling dervishes are renowned for their graceful spinning, which represents a spiritual journey toward divine unity and enlightenment.

Day 3: ISTANBUL
