Globally-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has announced new US tour dates for December 2022. Andrea Bocelli In Concert includes eleven new show dates in major cities across the nation, including San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston, Miami, New York and Columbus with the support of the highly-regarded Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Tickets for Bocelli’s December 2022 dates go on sale to the public Monday, April 11 at 10 a.m. local time. Andrea Bocelli In Concert will feature performances from Bocelli’s uplifting album Believe, a poignant and personal collection of songs, celebrating the power of music to soothe the soul, as well as a selection of arias, his beloved crossover hits, famed love songs, and music in honor of the Holiday Season. Andrea’s US tours are sponsored by global investment firm Stifel. The Stifel pre-sale begins Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. local time. Following the special early on-sale, Citi cardholders will have access to pre-sale tickets on Monday April 4, at 10 a.m. local time at www.citientertainment.com . Andrea Bocelli Fan Club members will gain access the following day on Wednesday, April 6 at 10 a.m. local time.

World-renowned vocalist Andrea Bocelli called off his concert at TD Garden in Boston, about 40 minutes after the show was scheduled to start.

Bocelli's wife made an announcement to the crowd that the Italian tenor was unable to perform due to health issues.

TD Garden confirmed that Bocelli's concert was called off due to health challenges, and shared on social media that the show will be rescheduled.

"This was not an easy decision to make. Andrea never wants to disappoint his fans and wishes to thank everyone for their ongoing support," reads a statement from TD Garden .

TD Garden's social media post also stated that ticket holders should retain their tickets so that they can attend the rescheduled Bocelli concert, the date for which will be announced as soon as possible.

Famed Italian singer Andrea Bocelli abruptly canceled his show at TD Garden in Boston Wednesday night.

Bocelli and his wife Veronica Berti went on stage to apologize to his fans that were gathered in the arena for the concert. The 65-year-old vocalist said he did everything he could to perform until the very last moment before the show, but ultimately couldn't.

Fans applauded in standing ovation and left TD Garden worried and disappointed.

TD Garden explained in a statement on its website that Bocelli was facing health challenges but didn't explain why.

"This was not an easy decision to make, Andrea never wants to disappoint his fans and wishes to thank everyone for their ongoing support," read a statement on TD Garden's website.

TD Garden said ticket holders should keep their tickets for the new date, which will be announced soon.

The run includes ten show dates in major cities across the nation, including San Antonio, Dallas, Louisville, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Baltimore, with two nights in Hollywood, FL at Hard Rock Live, and a return to the iconic Madison Square Garden in NYC.

This will be Bocelli’s first time in Louisville with the Louisville Orchestra and his first time performing in Hartford in 25 years. Then, Bocelli’s show in Baltimore will be included as part of the grand opening season for the new venue, CFG Bank Arena, and his first show in the city, performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets for Bocelli’s November and December 2023 dates go on sale to the public Monday, April 24 at 10 a.m. local time. What Is Andrea Bocelli’s 2024 Holiday Tour?

As per tradition, Bocelli will celebrate the holidays by playing a number of shows across the US in December. This year’s itinerary includes shows in San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Uncasville, New York, and Miami. Notably, Bocelli will headline two dates at Madison Square Garden on December 18th and 19th.

This year’s tour coincides with 30 years in music, as well as with his 65th birthday. He promises to perform music spanning his entire repertoire, including selections from his recent holiday album, A Family Christmas .

Bocelli is in the middle of a spring tour of North America, with upcoming shows scheduled in Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Toronto, Montreal, Indianapolis, and Detroit. Additionally, he’ll play shows in Charlotte and Highland, CA in late October / early November.

O ne of the world’s most beloved Italian tenors just announced that he will embark on a US tour this holiday season! This short but sweet December tour will span numerous US cities, including New York, Miami, San Diego, Los Angeles, and more. The Los Angeles concert will also mark the first time that Andrea Bocelli has ever performed at the Kia Forum. There will be no opening acts for this tour.

The Andrea Bocelli 2024 Holiday Tour will start on December 4 in San Diego, California at Pechanga Arena. The final date will be December 22 in Miami, Florida at Kaseya Arena.

Ticketmaster will be the main platform for the holiday tour dates. A number of different presale events will begin on April 9 at 10:00 am CDT, including fan club, Ticketmaster, Spotify, and Citi cardmember presales.

Andrea Bocelli shares voice update after last-minute Boston, Philadelphia cancellations: "It rarely happens"

BOSTON - One night after Andrea Bocelli canceled his Boston concert at the TD Garden with fans already in their seats, a similar situation played out in Philadelphia on Thursday. And now the Italian singer has put out a statement on the "health challenges" affecting his world-famous voice.

Just as he did in Boston, Bocelli came out on stage in Philly to tell ticket holders that he was unable to sing. He did play keyboard to accompany a performance by his 11-year-old daughter, according to posts from attendees on social media.  

While many fans wished him well, others said they were frustrated by the last-minute nature of the cancellations, which organizers say will be made up at a later date.

"Wish he had canceled earlier in the day instead of an hour after the concert was to start," one fan commented on his Facebook page . "He will reschedule at a later time, but the hotel and travel expenses are a big loss."

Andrea Bocelli statement on health challenges for his voice

In Boston, the 65-year-old Bocelli told the audience, "I did all my best to sing tonight, but I can't." The new statement from the singer, shared below, goes into more detail. Bocelli, who has sold more than 80 million albums, says this "rarely happens."

"The voice is a gift that I have received, it is an instrument that has been entrusted to me: I have always considered it my precise duty - and an honor, and a grace - to be able to share it with those who want to listen to it. For this reason, as long as I am given the strength, I will continue to travel and sing. For this reason, especially on tour, I preserve it with the rigor of an athlete, aware of the privilege and responsibility that I perceive, respecting the public first and foremost, but also the large quantity of people and professionalism that are involved, and thanks to which it takes life a concert.

It happens that an unexpected problem forces you to stop. It rarely happens, and in thirty years of militant concert playing I can count them on one hand, and yet, this time, it happened and I had to accept it.

I am truly sorry, first of all for each of those who have once again granted me their kindness, investing time and money to listen to me.

Even in this case, everything is in the hands of the good God and what I can do, today as every day of my life, is raise my eyes to Heaven and thank, and pray, and whisper: 'Thy will be done'. Looking forward to seeing you again very soon my dear American friends."  

Upcoming Andrea Bocelli concert dates

Bocelli also postponed weekend concerts in Hartford, Connecticut and Baltimore, citing health challenges.

The rescheduled concert dates are:

Boston - December 20, 2023 Baltimore - February 20, 2024 Philadelphia - February 21, 2024 Hartford - February 23, 2024

Fans will have 14 days to get a refund if they are unable to attend a rescheduled show. 

Upcoming concerts this week in New York and Florida are still set to go on as planned.

Christmas in July is played out.

Rather than delay the inevitable, legendary singer Andrea Bocelli just announced the dates for his annual Christmas tour from Dec. 8-23.

This time around, the iconic tenor will perform back-to-back nights at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Dec. 19 .

At all shows, fans can expect to hear holiday staples as well as cuts from the 65-year-old’s No. 1 album “A Family Christmas,” his solo album “Believe” and a “selection of arias, his beloved crossover hits, and famed love songs” according to UDiscoverMusic .

Ahead of the holiday run, Bocelli is headlining a handful of concerts this April as well as a huge show at London’s Hyde Park in July.

And if you want to see him live, tickets can be grabbed for all North American Bocelli concerts — and the Hyde Park gig — as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Tuesday, April 16, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

On Oct. 21, 2022, Bocelli released  “A Family Christmas”  with his children Matteo and Virginia.

Andrea Bocelli's holiday tour is coming to Mohegan Sun Arena in December

Andrea Bocelli will come to Mohegan Sun Arena this winter during his 2024 Holiday Tour.

He will have a 7:30 p.m. show on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Tickets are available on Tuesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com.

Subject to availability, fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting on Wednesday, April 17.

He will perform at the TD Garden in Boston on Dec. 14 and at Madison Square Garden in New York on Dec. 19.

Bocelli performed in Connecticut in March with a show at the XL Center in Hartford after his December 2023 concert was postponed because of health concerns.

You know  Andrea Bocelli as the world-class tenor with over 90 million albums sold. But did you know he's a gifted horseback rider, too?

Audiences learn many things about the star while watching Bocelli’s new three-part film, “The Journey,” in select theaters April 2-4 and April 6. In the film, Bocelli travels on horseback with family, friends and musicians along Italy’s Via Franciagena, an ancient road, from Rome to his hometown of Lajatico. Throughout the trip, the group performs at various venues along the Italian countryside and hear from locals.

Bocelli, who became completely blind at 12, has been riding horses since he was 7.

“The horse was a sort of friend for me, but also a means of transportation. So it’s very familiar to me since I’ve been doing it forever,” Bocelli, 64, said to USA TODAY while promoting the film with his wife in New York City.

Bocelli, who spoke in Italian, recalled his first horse was purchased by his father Alessandro, at the urging of his grandfather.

“(My grandfather) was ill, and he said, ‘I’d like to give my grandson a horse,’ " Bocelli remembered. “When he died, my father ran to buy me a horse.”

Bocelli’s wife, Veronica Berti Bocelli, wasn’t exactly racing to the idea of making this pilgrimage on horseback.

“It was not easy,” she admitted. “Andrea knows how to speak with (the horses). They can speak to each other in the same language.

“Sometimes my language (with the horses) is a little bit different.”

The couple’s two children, Matteo and Virginia, also join “The Journey” at different junctures. However, neither rode a horse as both are allergic.

Other guests who appear with the Bocelli in the film are Grammy winner Tori Kelly and Andrea’s childhood friend, Christiano Quaratessi. At one point, Bocelli’s lifelong friend recalls a story about the two taking Bocelli’s father’s car out for a spin. While Christiano drove, it was Bocelli who attempted to park it and ultimately scratched it.

“I taught Christiano to drive, and a bit to others,” the tenor revealed. “So, there were many episodes where my father’s car took a hit.”|

While Bocelli and his friend joke with each other about their childhood, the two also offer one of the film’s most poignant exchanges: Christiano believes that “music can unite all.” Bocelli quickly responds that he believes God is who unites.

“Every talent is a gift from the heavens, which serves to make the world a more beautiful place,” Bocelli noted. “And if it’s true what Dostoyevsky said once, that ‘Beauty will save the world,’ we artists who are the recipients of these gifts from the heavens, we have a responsibility to make this world more beautiful.”

Bocelli’s “The Journey” leans heavily on his faith; the trip begins with a blessing from Pope Francis. And it’s the tenor’s faith that got him through the COVID-19 lockdown and back on the road. Bocelli will perform for U.S. audiences again with a seven-date trek that kicks off May 9 in Los Angeles and wraps May 21 in Minneapolis.

“It was a wonderful experience which has given me so much joy,” Bocelli said of returning to the road. “During the lockdown we all lived a terrible sadness, unknown to us ever. We need to put this behind us, and I feel I’m at a good place with that effort.”
