Had an absolutely fabulous time. Brought back amazing memories for my wife and me through all those great songs they performed. Looking forward to seeing them again in Cuba in April next year.
Well done. Lead singer does not try to be Marc Hunter and so does own interpretation of song very well. Original member Todd Hunter is the basis of this solid performance surrounded by very competent musicians. When the hits are played Todd "lights up" just like all of us, though we are all definitely "Old Enough"

With 46 million albums and 55 million songs sold globally, as well as 74 billion combined streams, Imagine Dragons remains one of the best-selling rock bands, reinventing the genre with their enormous breakout success across the 2010s. Billboard’s Top 3 rock songs of the decade belonged to the band – “Believer,” “Thunder” and “Radioactive.” Formed in 2009, Imagine Dragons developed a grassroots following with a series of independently released EPs before making their major label debut on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope with the 2012 EP Continued Silence. Night Visions, their 2012 full-length debut, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 2 and the lead-off track “Radioactive” topped Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart, won a GRAMMY for Best Rock Performance, and achieved RIAA Diamond status. 2015’s Smoke + Mirrors debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. EVOLVE, which followed in 2017, earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and unleashed three No. 1 Alternative radio hits: “Believer,” the GRAMMY-nominated “Thunder” and “Whatever It Takes.” All three songs were also top 5 hits at Top 40 radio, with “Thunder” rising to the No. 1 spot. The band’s fourth album, ORIGINS, debuted atop Billboard’s Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts and lead single "Natural" spent nine weeks at No. 1 at alternative radio and set the current record for all-time “most spins in a week” at the format.
Their highly anticipated fifth studio album Mercury – Act 1 was released on September 3, 2021. Teaming up with esteemed producer Rick Rubin and with its title drawing inspiration from the word “mercurial,” Mercury – Act 1 is a candid album that abandons metaphorically charged lyrics and instead embraces emotional extremities, holding nothing back. It marks the band’s first album since 2018’s ORIGINS .
“Follow You” and “Cutthroat” were the first glimpses into the new record, released simultaneously in March 2021, with the former hitting No. 1 at alternative radio and Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, marking the band’s quickest ascent to the top of those charts. The album’s current single, “Wrecked,” is a confessional exploration of grief, written by lead vocalist Dan Reynolds after losing his sister-in-law to cancer in 2019.

Review: Imagine Dragons kick off world tour, telling Utah fans ‘you are the reason we are a band’
The pop-rock band gives an emotional, immersive performance of new songs and classic hits..
(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Dan Reynolds sings for Imagine Dragons, at Rice-Eccles Stadium, on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022.
Dan Reynolds, the frontman of Imagine Dragons, confessed to the crowd at Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium that he had a sinus infection — and that he woke up stressed about it Friday, worried about being able to perform on the first stop of the North American leg of the band’s world tour.
But, he added, he felt confident that the band’s Utah fans — who have been with Imagine Dragons since the beginning — would be able to sing with him, and for him, when needed.
“This band started over a decade ago right here in Utah,” Reynolds told the stadium crowd at the start of Friday night’s show, beaming as he described the band’s early shows at Salt Lake City’s iconic Kilby Court. “You are the reason we are here today, you are the reason we are a band. ... Thank you for giving us a career.”
It was an emotional opening to an emotional show, the first of 20 performances on this leg of the Grammy-winning pop-rock band’s Mercury World Tour. And when Imagine Dragons opened with “Younger,” a song off its newest album, “Mercury — Act 2,” accompanied by fireworks, it made a statement that it was going to be one hell of a show.
At any concert, there are maybe a handful of moments where audience members feel completely immersed in the show, whether it be from connection to the music itself or the surrounding atmosphere. Imagine Dragons’ show Friday was so immersive, the entire concert was that moment.
The set list was a good mix of the band’s established hits and cuts off of 2021′s “Mercy — Act 1″ and this year’s “Mercury — Act 2.” Songs like “Younger” and the classic “Radioactive” were accompanied with pyrotechnics. Confetti cannons went off five times. Wrist bands given to the audience were synchronized, and lt up with every song. Reynolds sometimes left the stage to go down into the crowd, interacting with fans and small children.
All of this stagecraft combined to let every person in the stadium — from the pit to the back rows — feel like they were an important part of the show, crucial to its success. The crowd was on its feet from the moment the band took the stage until the last chord of the final song vibrated through the breeze.
Among the highlights:
• Reynolds introduced “It’s Time,” the band’s first hit single, by recalling how he wrote the song in his dorm room at Brigham Young University. He held a pride flag while he sang the song, which has become an anthem for LGBTQ+ people, with the line in the chorus, “I’m never changing who I am.”
• Reynolds dedicated the song “Demons,” another early single, to “anyone with heavy depression and anxiety” and implored them to remember “you are not alone” and “your life is always worth living.”
• He dedicated the song “Believer” to Ukraine, and took a moment to speak against the Russian invasion there.
• For the song “On Top of the World,” large multi-color balloons were tossed around the pit, bobbing through the air like beach balls.
• A series of short videos guided the show, a narrative journey of the “Mercury” album — which Reynolds, choking up, said was “to celebrate those we have lost and to hope for something more.”
Being the first show of this leg of the tour, there were some opening-night glitches. Some fans were caught short by the stadium’s strict, and apparently last-minute, bag policy — forcing them to either take their purses back to their cars or check their bags. And there was the sudden jolt of pouring rain just before the Dragons took the stage, sending people running for cover or, if they were prepared, putting on their rain ponchos and jackets. (The stage crew diligently worked to clear water off the long walkway stage.)
Even those moments had their upside: Between sets, to pass the time and perhaps to keep spirits up, the audience across the stadium did The Wave, keeping it going for several rounds before Imagine Dragons took the stage.
Opening the show for Imagine Dragons were pop artist Kings Elliot — who some fans missed because of the delays getting into the stadium — and hip-hop artist Macklemore.
(Rick Egan | The Salt Lake Tribune) Macklemore performs at Rice-Eccles Stadium, on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022.
During his energetic 40-minute opening set, Macklemore and his band — all color-coordinated in green — played his iconic hits, like “Thrift Shop,” “Same Love,” and “White Walls,” as well as a new song, “Maniac.” At some points, Macklemore even hosed the pit down by squeezing out water from a spray tube. Before he left, Macklemore promised a new album next time he comes back to Utah.
Imagine Dragons fans in Utah are sometimes treated as a punchline, told that they don’t have “real” musical taste (whatever that may be). In Friday night’s show, the band proved what fans have appreciated since their first album, “Night Visions” — that Imagine Dragons make good, immersive music that anyone can connect to.
Like the young girl in the stands, dressed in an oversized Mercury World Tour shirt, dancing in the aisle and head-banging to the guitar solos. Or the older man in front of her, swaying back and forth and belting lyrics like nothing else in the world mattered in that moment.
More than a decade after their start in Utah clubs, Imagine Dragons continue to deliver for their fans, putting together a welcoming, brilliant environment. The first show of the Mercury World Tour was a triumph, and shows what it means to attend a concert in 2022.

In celebration of the release of their latest album, “Mercury – Act 1,” Imagine Dragons announce their Mercury World Tour. They will be joined by Grandson, who will be a support act on select tour dates, including Raleigh.
Their highly anticipated fifth studio album “Mercury – Act 1” was released on September 3, 2021. Teaming up with esteemed producer Rick Rubin and with its title drawing inspiration from the word “mercurial,” “Mercury – Act 1” is a candid album that abandons metaphorically charged lyrics and instead embraces emotional extremities, holding nothing back. It marks the band’s first album since 2018’s “ORIGINS.”

K-pop soloist G-Dragon confirms comeback in the second half of 2024 and announces global promotion plans
O n Wednesday, April 3, the Korean media outlet News1 reported that K-pop soloist G-Dragon will be making his long-awaited comeback into the music industry. The news report stated that the idol is planning to roll out his comeback somewhere in the second half of this year, and he's also scheduled to expand his promotions on a global level, with activities around the world, including Japan.
The news was shared with the Korean media outlet through G-Dragon's current agency, Galaxy Corporation. The agency reportedly stated that after the idol's comeback, the promotional plans are aimed at reaching a global audience, thereby referring to the fact that the idol will be visiting many countries to establish his re-entrance into the music industry.
Here's what the agency stated to the Korean media outlet, News1, regarding the idol's upcoming solo comeback.
"G-Dragon is scheduled to make a comeback in the second half of this year. After his comeback, he will carry out global activities. Among them, activities in Japan are also planned. Galaxy Corporation's Japanese branch was established in September of last year before G-Dragon was recruited. Of course, this branch will help the idol's activities in Japan in the future."
The agency explained that they recently established a Japanese branch of Galaxy Corporation in September 2023. While this was created before the idol joined the agency, they explained that much of his Japanese promotions and activities would be taken care of by this branch. Given that the idol will be releasing music after a long break, fans have been eagerly looking forward to the same.
G-Dragon's agency Galaxy Corporation confirms the idol's comeback in the second half of 2024 with global promotional plans
G-Dragon is a 35-year-old South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter who debuted with the second-generation K-pop boy group BIGBANG in 2006, housed under YG Entertainment. Despite being part of a boy band, the idol's solo activities have created a reputation for himself, and his influence has gradually earned him the title of King of K-pop.
Several of the idol's solo albums, such as COUP D'ETAT, Shine A Light, Heartbreaker , etc., have grown to be cherished projects by his fans.
While netizens have always looked forward to his solo releases, the idol hasn't rolled out music since his last EP in 2017, KWON JI YONG , an album that takes after his real name. It was due to various reasons, including his mandatory military service and his departure from YG Entertainment, among others.
Last year, though G-Dragon announced that he was preparing for a solo comeback , fans knew it was a far-off release since YG Entertainment also revealed that the idol would be officially departing the agency due to the end of their contract. In December 2023, the idol signed with Galaxy Corporation, and the idol is finally scheduled to roll out his solo comeback after almost seven years.
These global activities might include a world tour, concerts, fan- meetings, and a performance at The Vegas Sphere as the finale of his world tour in 2025, as reported by Galaxy Corporation's CEO in a recent interview.
In other news, the idol has also been quite active in the industry following his new contract with the entertainment agency Galaxy Corporation. The idol has not only attended the renowned tech event, CES 2024, but also rolled out a collaboration with the Japanese rock artist, Yoshiki.

As aforementioned, Glass Animals recently shared details of their upcoming album and dropped the lead single from the project in the form of ‘Creatures In Heaven’ .
Speaking about its existential themes, frontman Dave Bayley said: “It’s about a moment in time, be it a split second or a year or whatever, having the capacity to be enormously formative and life-changing.
“Even if it is over. Or if it doesn’t go as planned. Or if it dies too soon. It is still fucking beautiful. The love and care and the feeling in that moment lives forever. It never really dies. If that’s how you choose to see it.”
The announcement follows the news last week that the band will play two shows later this year – in Wild West, California on April 11 and Mexico City on April 15 .
Glass Animals’ last new music was 2020’s ‘Dreamland’, a record which NME gave four stars : “‘Dreamland’ is stuffed with effervescent nuggets of pop gold. It’s a sun-drenched record of summer tunes that will sound even better when heard at festivals with a tinnie in hand. Yet look behind glittering shells of these tunes and you’ll find hugely personal stories, told with new strength and resilience.”
NME also spoke with Glass Animals in 2022, where they shared their experiences about working with Florence Welch : “I learned so much from [Florence]. We did a bunch of sessions for the new album, and I was blown away. I was like, ‘Woah, how do I compete with this real force of nature when it comes to songwriting?’
He continued: “I had to hold my own and I think we made a really wicked album. She’s a brilliant songwriter. Shout out to Florence: thank you for letting me work on your record, I feel really lucky.”
