Discover Falkland Islands
The Falkland Islands are situated in the South Atlantic, 400 miles from the coast of South America and 850 miles north of the Antarctic circle. They are located between latitude 51º and 53º S, roughly the same latitude south as London is north.
Explore Landscape
The Falkland Islands are made up of approximately 740 islands, the main two being East and West Falklands, with the total land mass covering around 4,700 sq miles, or about the same size as Wales. The British first claimed the islands in 1592 when sighted by Captain John Davis of the Desire.

Overland Tours of the Falkland Islands
Delivering quality tours to prime wildlife locations, areas of historical interest and all of the 1982 battlefield sites on east falkland, more than 30 years of experience.
We were one of the first companies to start providing overland tours in the Falkland Islands. Our tours are for small groups or individuals and are provided using a suitable 4×4 vehicle with a knowledgeable and experienced guide/driver.
Since 1992, we have also been providing logistical support and guidance for visiting television and media groups, working with more than 150 media related organisations to date. Similar services are available for geologists and others carrying out scientific research in the Falkland Islands.

After growing up on West Falkland I moved to Stanley in 1988 and as one of the first overland Tour Operators, I began offering wildlife tours to Volunteer Point before adding other locations such as Cape Bougainville and Cape Dolphin from 1990 onward.
In 1992 I had the opportunity to work with a host of TV companies who were all coming here to make documentaries for the 10th Anniversary of the Falklands War. Since that time I have been involved in the production of more than 130 other programmes about the Falkland Islands.
Through my work over the last 28 years I have met many veterans, both British and Argentine who fought here in 1982, and I make a point of including their personal accounts as well as the factual information in the tours I provide.

Amazing. It had been ten years since my last trip on MS Expedition with this company. It is evenbetter now. Superb staff at every level. The itinerary was always subject to the weather but there was always a plan ‘b’ or even ‘c’. Following in the footsteps of Shacleton, Tom Crean etc was brilliant made even better by the experts on board and in the field. The whole trip could not be faulted and for this full credit to all the staff.

I just returned from Spirit of Shackleton trip to the Falklands, South Georgia, and Antarctica. I expected a lot from this trip, and somehow, G Adventures far exceeded my expectations. The zodiac tours were amazing, the crew aboard the Expedition were first class, and the accommodations were very comfortable and well maintained. My only complaint are the pounds I gained eating all that wonderful food! But I'll blame myself for that one. I can't wait to book my next adventure with G.
