- Group Tours and Packages
Read below to discover our most popular group packages, and how to find the best deals. These packages have predetermined dates and are open to anyone who wishes to join. Group tours will go through as soon as enough people sign up. Alternatively, you can set your departure dates by contacting us, and we’ll find you some suitable companions. For private tours, just visit our tours and attractions page and pick the ones you like the most.
Join a group
Our organized package tours are designed for small groups – usually no more than 12 people. We feel that is the best way to make sure you get the most out of your holiday. Small groups allow for extra attention from our staff to your specific needs and desires. Packages include airport pickup, transportation to various destinations of your choice, accommodation and an assortment of guided tours – full of fun and adventure, tailor made to meet your expectations.
What’s the right group package for your holiday?
Our group packages will fit most, and we try to make them wide enough that they will give the most complete Filipino experience that one can get. However, because our packages are made to fit a variety of people, you might feel that they don’t meet your desires perfectly. They might be too short or too long, or they exclude some places or activities you’re interested in.
Our Group Tour Packages
Our adventurous Philippines package is good for anyone as it includes many of the most iconic destinations in the country. If you wanted to have a diving vacation in the Philippines, our diving group tour package will allow you to join with other divers. It’s highly advised for singles and small groups of divers to join a group, as it ensures you’ll get the best deals, and have private and group homogeneous diving tours.
Joining a group for a single day
Every place you’ll visit is good for joining a day tour, and the more touristy it is, the more chances it can be done. When you book your vacation, inform us that you’d like to join a group in all or some of the tours you’ll take. We will do as much as possible to adjust your package according to availability, as some of the day tours are impossible to book as a group tour a long time in advance.
Manila day tours for groups
One of the largest and most populated city in the world, Manila is always teeming with action and interesting people. It’s easy to feel lost in such a big city, and that is why joining a guided tour is ideal. Booking private tours to many of these destinations doesn’t always make sense, as upon arrival you will be surrounded by fellow tourists anyway. We can help you figure out which of the tours are better taken privately and which are better as a group, according to your preferences.
For those looking for ways to pass their days in the city, there are no shortage of options. The best idea is to visit one of the amazing location nearby, such as the Taal volcano in Tagaytay , Mount Pinatubo or Puerto Galera . Joining a group will make it more convenient and faster to visit those destinations, and make your time in Manila unforgettable.
Day tours inside the city include viewing historic landmarks, or visiting museums to learn about local history and art. One especially recommended tour is the culinary tasting through the Chinatown district. No matter what your interests are, we can easily pair you up with an expert guide, and help you find companions with similar taste should you wish so.
Is a group tour the best option for your Philippines vacation?
It really depends on the type of person you are, but many people find it more comfortable to travel in groups. If you are traveling solo, or as a family with kids, you should consider this option as it can make your holiday much better. Also, if you have a very strong interest in the activities offers in our packages, like diving for instance, joining a group tour is advisable. Since it’s really a matter of personal taste, we strongly advise you to go through our destinations catalog for better insight.
No matter what type of holiday you have in mind, our crew can help make it better. We created these flexible packages to ensure you will be able to get the most out of your vacation. We will be with you every step of the way and make sure you are getting all the guidance and assistance you require, so you can enjoy your dream vacation to its fullest.

Hi…am planning to visit cebu soon and will spend around 4 days there..i will be alone but would like to join other group of people for the tours and sight seeing…i have already booked my hotel..so i am looking for only tours/sight seeing..it could be in coach bus or minivan…can you suggest me some tours and price?
Hey Ravin and sorry for the delay in response, We are actually in Cebu right now trying to negotiate better deals for our clients and come up with with more exciting tours to try.
Luckily, Cebu is one of the best places to join group tours and it’s a great way to sample all the attractions the area has to offer. If your hotel is in Mactan island, joining these tours through your hotel should be possible. All 5 star resorts and some of the 4 stars as well offer this service. It might be better to do it that way so you’ll get a chance to meet other hotel guests and possibly make new friends.
Alternatively, we can connect you with independent tour operators in Cebu and they’ll be happy to find a suitable group for you to join. This option is cheaper, but you’ll sometimes be forced to wait a bit as their van picks up people from multiple hotels. This option is especially recommended for diving day tours, since private dive clubs are much more professional and have better gear than the in-house hotel option.
Other popular options include the Cebu city tour, island hopping in Mactan and extreme watersports. Day tours to destinations outside of Cebu/Mactan are also available – Oslob whale watching , Moalboal diving or visiting Kawasan Falls and even visting Bohol’s Chocolate Hills . More unorthodox requests are also possible, but of course it’ll be harder to find a group for these as they are usually done as private tours. You can find a full list of available tours, along with a full itinerary in our Cebu packages page.
I have already mailed you as well, please reply with your hotel name and the type of tours you’d be interested in. We can take it from there, and i’m sure we’ll be able to assist you in making your days in Cebu as fun and exciting as possible.
I am planning to travel to Manila in 2019 I have a few hotels in manila I like and I’m wondering do you have any guided day trips from manila I will be traveling alone and would like to do something day trips from there possibly guided thanks for any help I’m trying to put it all together for now.
Hey Debbie,
We will mail you soon with some suggestions. We’d be happy to help you find a group to join, but we first need to get your exact travel dates of course.
In the meantime you are welcome to take a look at our manila page to get an idea of possible tours and activities in the city and around it.
Generally speaking, the best tours in Manila itself to book a guide for are the old city tour and the culinary tour. If you want to visit the Anthropology museum taking a local, knowledgeable guide can also enhance the experience – but you can enjoy it a lot by yourself as well.
Outside of manila guided tours are recommended for Tagaytay , Mt. Pinatubo and Pagsanajan Falls in Laguna . It shouldn’t be a problem to find a group you could join, but keep in mind it might be mostly consisted of local tourists if we don’t have enough requests from foreigners on your specific dates.
Hi I and my boyfriend is planning a pakage tour from Manila. I’m wondering if you have any guided tours from manila? We would love to join other groups. We will like to start the tour the 3:rd of december 2017 and want to end the tour at the latest 6:th of december around 12am. On the 6:th of december we are catching a flight so therefore the specific dates and time.
Hey Sara and thank you for reaching out to us.
Organizing group tours from Manila is no problem, we have a wide selection of attractions we can offer. Of course, it also really depends on what you guys want to do – you didn’t really mention that in your comment.
That said, it might be hard to add you and your boyfriend to an organic group for the whole duration because of the very short notice. We will do everything we can to give you exactly what you asked for, but there’s a good chance the only thing we’ll be able to offer are 3 separate whole day tours instead.
One of our agents will email you later with some initial offers for you to consider. In the meantime, i suggest you read through this list of tours we offer in Manila , and get some better idea on what activities we can provide you with.
Do you have international group package im planning a tour but im alone do you have one, thanks I want the cheapest package
Yes we do! But we need to know your arrival date and the places you’d like to visit.
Please fill out this inquiry form , and we’ll get back to you ASAP with an offer.
Hi, I would like to join a group international travel. Can you also send to me your inquiry form? Thank you. .
This may be possible depending on your travel dates, and what you want to see and do.
The best way would be to discuss it over the phone or by mail – please fill out the inquiry form found here and we’ll take it from there.
Looking forward to helping you have a great vacation!
Hi…I am planning to visit Cebu from July 21-24, 2018. I will be travelling solo, so if possible, I would like to join a group tour to save me some money. I have my flight and hotel booked already, so i am only looking for tour packages that would suit me. I just filled out the inquiry form, but I’m not sure about the budget that was listed there (way too much for me to afford). Can you suggest me some tour packages that would include Oslob whaleshark-watching, Kawasan Falls + Canyoneering and Osmena Peak trekking (optional)? Thanks.
Hi John and thanks for your interest in our services.
Since you filled out our inquiry form an agent will get back to you soon but there are a few things i’d like to clarify, for both you and future clients reading this page:
1) The budget options shown in our inquiry form are for complete vacation packages. If you are only interested in standalone products then of course we can do that for much lower prices.
2) You can visit our Cebu page and see everything we have to offer there – all tours are available both as private or group.
3) We do not promote the Oslob whale sharks watching, since it is extremely harmful to the whales and marine ecosystem in general. Please read more about our decision here , and kindly consider skipping this tour.
hi, i will be in Cebu coming december 6-9, Since i am travelling solo, i would like to inquire if i can join in a group for a tour enjoying, exploring and experiencing different activities like canyoneering, hiking to Osmena Peak, etc. Been to Cebu for a few times but never had a chance to see and explore outside the metro. I havent had booked any hotel bu my coming is confirmed. thank you and looking forward to your resply.
I’m not entirely sure about Osmena peak since it’s not such a in-demand tour, but Kawasan Falls is certainly available. If Osmena group tour isn’t available, you can either book it private or we can consider alternative tours such as the Moalboal Sardine run or Bohol’s Chocolate hills .
In any case, since your travel dates are quite near, it will be much better if you could drop us an inquiry here and leave a phone number for easier communication.
hi, do you have any joiners tour at first week of april 2019?Im an ofw and will have a vacation that time.
Hi April and thanks for leaving a comment.
I’m sure we can work something out, but could you please leave an inquiry with all relevant details? Would be much easier to match you with the correct group if we know your age, preferred activities and budget.
Hi! I’m planning to go to Cebu on solo this February. It’s OK for me if I may join a group. I just want to tour the city, sight seeing or just relax. Can you suggest any package deal that fits for me? Thanks!Appreciate much!
Please send an inquiry through our contact form – i need to know the exact dates to see if there are available groups you could join.
Hi, my friend and I will be in Bohol for 2 days, we would like to join a group tour to save us some money. Will there be one in August? Can you help us out? Thanks in advance.
You can see our services in Bohol here . If you find anything you like, simply leave an inquiry.

Kamusta and welcome to Manila! On arrival in the bustling capital we’ll meet you at the airport to take you to the hotel. You’ll have plenty of time to recover from the flight before meeting up with your new travel crew and getting excited for the adventures to come.
Today we travel to Cebu via a short flight and ferry. We’ll then get to drive up the coast, stopping at some of Cebu’s most impressive waterfalls and getting those classic Philippines Insta snaps!
Today you’re in for a treat - an adrenaline-pumping canyoneering experience at Kawasan Waterfalls! This activity will have the brave of us not just looking, but LEAPING into the unbelievably blue pools of the falls below.
This morning we’ll venture out to witness Moalboal’s famous Sardine Run, a natural phenomenon worthy of a David Attenborough documentary. You’ll get the chance to snorkel amongst millions of sardines in crystal waters, truly an experience like no other. We’ll also keep our fingers crossed for sea turtles! The afternoon is yours to explore more of Moalboal, or simply relax by the beach or pool.
On the way to our second flight of the trip from Cebu City we’ll stop at Simala Church. This castle-like monastery is the perfect place for us to gain insight into the Spanish colonisation of the Philippines. After our flight to Busuanga Island we’ll check in to our accom.
Today you’ll get to experience the best snorkelling Coron has to offer! Swim amongst schools of fish in the iconic turquoise water and see why Coron is absolute paradise! Tonight we'll get ready to experience the vibrant nightlife in Coron.
Relax by the pool or wander Coron Town, the morning is in your hands! This afternoon we’ll lace up our sneakers and take a short hike up Mount Tapyas to be rewarded with incredible views of the bay. We’ll then head to Maquinit Hot Springs for some relaxation, taking in a glorious sunset as we soak in the naturally warm saltwater pools.
Today we set off on an unforgettable 3-day expedition from Coron to El Nido. This trip will take us far from the usual tourist hotspots, sailing away on a traditional Banca boat to discover deserted islands, leave footprints on soft white beaches, snorkel turquoise waters, interact with local tribes and stargaze on the beach. This trip will wake up your inner adventurer - with only a mattress, mosquito net, and bucket shower our traditional Filipino huts are simple - but given the lack of crowds, abundant fresh food, and postcard shots everywhere you turn, the trade-off is absolutely worth it!
Continuing our sail to El Nido we’ll swing by more uninhabited beaches and swim amongst fish in some of the world’s clearest waters. Without wifi, we are completely off-the-grid, able to fully immerse ourselves in the otherworldly beauty of our surroundings, and focus on our routine - swim, snorkel, sunbathe, repeat! Tonight we stay in a traditional beach camp to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
Our boat expedition comes to an end today when we arrive in El Nido on the island of Palawan. After a few busy days of sailing, today we’ll have plenty of free time to chill out on the beach, work on our tans and explore. Tonight we’ll get to experience El Nido’s nightlife!
This morning we’ll treat ourselves with an included Filipino massage. We’ll then head off to see the town from above on a canopy walk through the jungle. Tonight you can choose how you want to spend your evening!
Today we’ll jump in a Jeepney for a tour of El Nido! We’ll visit a local organic farm and enjoy lunch on the beach with a traditional Filipino dance performed by the local children. We’ll then head to Nacpan beach, one of the most picturesque spots on Palawan, as well as checking out a few local spots to get a taste of Filipino island life.
PORT BARTON
Leaving El Nido, we’ll travel further south to the sleepy beach town and gateway to more amazing tropical wonders, Port Barton. You will have some free time this afternoon to relax on the beach and enjoy a sunset drink before tonight’s dinner.
Today we get our final, magical fix of crystal clear waters, stunning tropical islands and snorkelling. This amazing island boat trip won’t disappoint, with palm fringed beaches, coral reefs teeming with marine life and mindblowing sand banks covered with starfish, a picture perfect day to remember!
PUERTO PRINCESA
As we leave Port Barton and head towards Puerto Princesa, we have a real highlight along the way - Palawan’s famous Underground River. On an enchanting boat cruise through the cave system, you will see stunning underground stalactite and stalagmite formations, naturally sculpted over millions of years.
Today we’ll explore Palawan’s capital, Puerto Princesa before heading back to Manila, ready for an easy departure from your trip of a lifetime the following day. A short flight back to the capital is included before we check in to our hotel for one final night together.
Time to bid farewell as our 17 day adventure comes to an end. You can either check out and make your way back home, stay on longer, or continue your travels in the Philippines. If you need any assistance planning onward travel, we’re more than happy to help!

Frequently Asked Questions
The great thing about the Philippines is it’s usually quite hot and dry whilst we are operating, so it’s great to go at any time between October to June. Please keep in mind that we don’t operate our tours during the main wet season (July, August, September). And in Asia, if it does rain it’s normally just for an hour or two and then it will stop.
This is a backpacker style trip, aimed at those happy to stay in nice, budget 2-3 star style accommodation. During the 3 day/2 night Boat Expedition from Coron to El Nido the accommodation is basic and rustic style Filipino Huts with mosquito nets. There is limited power supply, no phone signal and you will shower with buckets of water. A truly memorable experience immersing yourself in the local Filipino culture.
Due to the nature of the Philippines being an archipelago country, there are some long travel days which includes 3 internal flights, a public ferry, and private minibuses. This also includes travelling on a boat from Coron to El Nido on a 3 night/2 day Boat Expedition, where you will sleep on 2 different remote island camps for the 2 nights. A truly exotic and magical experience!
This tour includes a lot of water activities, such as canyoneering, swimming and snorkelling. This also means quite a bit of time spent on boats, and some activities are slightly physical and weather dependant. We do not run tours during monsoon season; however, due to where the Philippines is geographically located, the weather can be unpredictable at times and can affect some of the activities.

If you haven’t got a backpack yet, try and get one that zips open along the side. There will be places on the tour where you can do laundry, so you don’t need to bring 16 pairs of shorts with you.
You can view a packing checklist on our INTRO Travel App, which you can download here for iPhone or Google

How can I get in touch with my group leader?
You will receive a ‘welcome email’ from your group leader approx. 2 weeks before your tour begins.
What if I'm travelling solo?
If you're struggling to convince your friends to join you on an adventure, you're not alone!
Travelling solo on a group tour can be one of the most exciting ways to experience a new destination, and you won't have to wait around for your mates to be ready. You leave yourself open to meeting amazing people, making new friends, and can keep yourself and your onward travel plans flexible.
The majority of our group members are solo travellers, so joining one of our group tours is a great way to meet people and make friends. Before your trip starts we'll put you in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and get to know each other. And after the trip a lot of people continue travelling with the new friends they've made!
What if I'm travelling with a friend/s or partner?
Once you’ve made a booking just let us know who you’re travelling with and we can make a note that you are travelling together, and can put you in the same room.

And can help organise and book whatever you need, including any transport, accommodation or trips you may want. Great activity. Gives you the chance to explore and learn about the lesser-popular but just as beautiful attractions of Coron. I recommend doing this activity along with Coron's famous water attractions to get a full appreciation of the island. Our guide was extremely helpful and very informative. He clearly knew what he was talking about. Definitely recommend.

Before you set out with us on the trip of a lifetime, we want to go over a few things. The Philippines is an amazing country with so much to offer, but like with most Southeast Asian countries things sometimes don’t go according to plan. This is why we may have to slightly alter the itinerary if we need to. One Life is committed to giving you the best possible experience, so if we need to change something we’ll make sure we’ll replace it with something equally awesome!
Do you have an age limit for tours?
We have an age range of 18 – 45 years old for our tours. Most of our guests are aged between 21-35 years old, though this range varies to slightly older with certain destinations, and are looking to experience our adventurous “flashpacking” style of travel. Our tours are perfect for people of all different backgrounds to share travel experiences with like-minded conscious fellow travellers.
How much spending money do you recommend for this tour?
We recommend a minimum of $500 AUD for the full fourteen days, but it depends on what kind of spender you are. We include a spending guide in your welcome pack. You can withdraw from ATMs at various points throughout the tour, but we recommend withdrawing plenty of cash in Manila since you cannot rely on the ATMs in Palawan. This Cost of Living website gives accurate prices of all the basics in the Philippines, including food and alcohol
Can you get private rooms on this tour instead of dorms?
Can i bring a 25kg suitcase, i want to go diving in el nido, is there the option to do it while on the tour.
Since dive boats usually head out early in the day and there’s only one free afternoon in El Nido, you would need to miss an included activity to participate in a diving trip. However there’s usually at least a few people from every tour who have a few days to spare at the end of the trip who stay in El Nido to go diving.
Does it matter what time I arrive on day 1 in order to be picked up from the airport?
You can arrive at any time on day 1, but if you arrive after 3pm your tour guide won’t be able to personally collect you. Instead they will arrange your car and meet you at the hostel for your first night.
Can you cater for my dietary requirements on this trip?
Yes, we can cater for most dietary requirements. Please notify us prior to arriving on day 1 so we can arrange this for you.
I haven’t ever camped before. Can you tell me more about the beach camping?
Sleeping in a tent on the beach will be one of the most unique and incredible things you will get to experience. It is a private beach with a purpose-built shelter to protect you from the weather. Each tent comes with a mattress, pillow & sheet and can fit 2 people. There is nothing like waking up on a deserted island, watching the sunrise and going for a morning swim.
Can I get picked up from the airport if I arrive before day 1?
Unfortunately we only offer airport pick ups on day 1 of the tour, but we include very easy and straightforward instructions in your welcome pack to help you on getting from the airport to the first hostel.
I want to bring some camera equipment on tour, are there safe places like lockers in the accommodation?
There are lockers/safes in most locations but not all, we recommend bringing a padlock for your bag like you would when travelling in a normal situation anyway for that extra peace of mind.
Should I bring hiking shoes?
There is a little walking involved in the Philippines but not much. Sandals and some trainers/running shoes would be fine.
Can we swim with whale sharks on the tour?
The main opportunity to swim with whale sharks in the Philippines is located in Cebu which is a different island to Palawan and Coron where we visit on tour. While we don’t support or include whale shark swimming on tour, there are ethical opportunities within the Philippines and should you travel further around the country once the tour has finished your guide can help advise you on the best places to do so.
Where do we spend the first night of the tour?
We stay at the award winning Z Hostel in Makati.
Where should I fly into?
Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL).
Do you include any meals on this tour?
Yes, we include 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 2 dinners.
Does it matter what time I leave on day 14?
As day 14 is departure day, you can depart at any time. We recommend getting a flight from Busuanga Airport and our tour guide will arrange your transport to the airport for you.
Will I have the same tour guide throughout the tour?
We try our best to ensure you have the same tour guide for the full 14 days, however, sometimes there may be a change in guide at the end of the 10 day tour.
How long does it take to get to Coron on day 10?
We take a ferry from El Nido to Coron which will take approximately 5.5 hours.
What are the facilities like on our Island stay in Coron?
We will be staying in either huts or tents on the island, and have access to toilets and traditional Filipino bucket shower facilities. The huts are provided with fans and access to electricity.
Will I have time to go diving in Coron?
Yes! We have a free day in Coron and our tour guides can assist you in organizing any optional activities to do on this day such as diving.

"Just completed the 16 day Philippines tour and I absolutely loved it. The Philippines is a beautiful place and the tour managed to capture so much that it’s hard to say what I loved the most. To name a few highlights for me I would have to say swimming with whale sharks, canyoneering in the stunning Kawasan falls and island hopping in the beautiful Siargao ❤️❤️ Alyssa was the best tour guide you could ask for. Helping us learn some of the language and just being fun to be around, made the tour so much more enjoyable! Cannot recommend Do You Travel enough!"

"Hello , first there is no airport transfer at all as they mentioned in the trip program , no one waited us at the airport as they mentioned that we should provide them with the flight schedule but unfortunately they neglected this service for arrivals and for departures as well , the level of the hotel in Lyon is under expected maybe 2 stars , the hotels are somewhat away from the city center which makes the transportation for the clients cost more and waste of time , the guide was very quick in her steps without even looking at the families and children and not being able to follow her . Rather , she was even quick to finish the designated program , such as presenting a program that was supposed to be for tomorrow and presenting it without justification , making one day crowded with her program and the second day on the contrary i.e there may be only one visit as it happened in changing visiting Eifel tower although it was late afternoon and the line was so crowded that took around 2 hours waited in line in order to gets tickets for the whole group while it was supposed to be on the 2nd day with scène river cruise , the stoppage in some cities as Geneva needs more than only 2 hours time while stoppage in between the cities in the rural area needs less than that time gave it to us .no flexibility in changing the program after booking even for a more advanced and valued trips ( changing not cancelling ) , it must be a meeting prepared for the group in a lobby of the hotel the night before or even if 1 hour before getting into the buses as a type of acquaintance and introduction between the members of the group ."

"My experience with TruTravels has been one of the best travel experiences to date. I was a little concerned about having a small group - but the tour leaders have made every activity fun and engaging. I would definitely say they are friends. The organisation and local knowledge was great, they were great fun whilst remaining professional and in control. The nights out in Canggu were great, getting to meet the other tour leaders and Tru staff meeting the other tour groups is a great idea. I really cannot stress enough how much of a great trip I've had with TruTravels. From booking, to pre-tour communications, through to the last 10 days - it has been well organised, managed and delivered by amazing guides. Thanks so much to Rianna, Marta and Jonny for their enthusiasm throughout the tour, their concern for when I was sick and generally for everything they did to make this an amazing Bali Experience. Much love for the tour guides!!!I would definitely recommend a trip with TruTravels!!"

Best Time to Visit the Philippines
Philippines travel is ideal between November and April, when temperatures are pleasant and the region is experiencing its dry season.
December is an especially wonderful time book a tour to the Philippines for a couple of reasons. First, the locals are busy Christmas shopping and preparing for the holiday celebrations, so the areas within the country that are popular with both international travelers and domestic tourists are far quieter.
Second, Filipinos love Christmas! Locals are in jolly moods, decorations are abundant, and you’ll get to bask in the local Christmas spirit during your visit.
Some cities in the Philippines are known for their extravagant annual celebrations, so you may want to plan your Philippines tour to overlap with one or more of these citywide festivals. January brings the Ati-Atihan Festival in Kaliba, the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, and the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City—all Mardis Gras-style celebrations with elaborate costumes, singing and dancing, parades, and city-wide festivities.
In February, Baguio City enjoys the Panagbenga Flower Festival, a celebration of springtime and the start of the growing season. MassKara festival, which translates to “Festival of Many Smiles,” happens each October in the city of Baguio and includes carnivals, dancing, concerts, sports, food, and a garden show.
Weather in the Philippines
The Philippines archipelago consists of more than 7,000 islands across a geographic expanse of 100,000 square miles, so weather patterns vary greatly among various parts of the country. The eastern Visayas region experiences heavier rainfall than the rest of the country due to its increased exposure to the open ocean, for example.
The southern Mindanao region that lies close to the equator has consistently high temperatures year-round, while the northern reaches of the Luzon region experience cooler temperatures in the winter months. Generally, though, the greater Philippines region is affected by similar weather patterns throughout the year.
Weatherwise, December, January, February, and March are the most pleasant months in the Philippines, especially the lowland jungles and beaches. Temperatures range from the mid-70s to the high 80s (F) across most of the islands.
During May and June, rainfall increases across the region as the monsoon season begins. Heat, humidity, and rain make this time of year less that ideal for visits to the beach, and by the time July arrives, monsoon season is in full swing. Temperatures in the 90s are common, along with stifling humidity. This time of year can be more pleasant in mountainous regions like Baguio, where the temperatures are milder and the green mountain sides reach peak lushness.
Avoid planning your visit during August and September , when the Philippines experiences typhoon season. Dangerous weather patterns are common, so not only is your safety a risk, but your Philippines tour itinerary may change unexpectedly.
Usually, the rain slows down in October, but some years it persists through the end of the month, and typhoons are still a risk.
Who Will Enjoy Traveling in the Philippines?
If you’re yearning for a warm breeze across your skin, a fresh fruit cocktail in your hand, the soothing rustle of palm trees in the wind, and a colorful beach spread out on the horizon before you, you’ll love visiting the Philippines. This tropical island wonderland is world-famous for its beaches, bays, and lagoons, including all the activities that accompany those locales: swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, diving, kayaking, and fishing.
The Philippines is also a worthy destination for hikers and outdoor adventurers who want to climb to the top of a lofty peak or splash into a waterfall deep in the jungle.
With overnight accommodation options ranging from luxurious, all-inclusive resorts to bargain-hunting backpacker huts, the Philippines welcomes international travelers of all styles.
Is it Safe to Travel in the Philippines?
In short, yes, it is safe to travel in most parts of the Philippines, but you’ll need to make wise choices about where and when to travel. There are a few important things to consider before booking your Philippines tour.
As in many other major metropolitan cities of the world, petty crime can be an issue in big cities like Manila Metro and Cebu City. Theft and pickpocketing may occur on buses or in crowds. Travelers are advised against walking city streets at night alone, especially with cash.
Certain regions in the southern Mindanao region of the Philippines have been afflicted by terrorist activity in recent years. The United States Department of State has issued a travel advisory discouraging travel in the Sulu Archipelago, the Sulu Sea, and Marawi City.
Weather in the Philippines can be dangerous during the months of August and September when typhoons strike the eastern Pacific Ocean.
Plan your Philippines guided tour with an established, trusted travel company to stack the deck in your favor when it comes to safety.
Travelers should take note that there have been 3 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines.
Common Questions
How do i travel around within the philippines.
There are three primary modes of travel for visitors within the Philippines.
Buses are common ways to get from one part of an island to another, or to get around within a metropolitan area. Buses are affordable, although they may not always leave or arrive on time. Bus routes through hilly or mountainous areas can result in carsickness—pack anti-nausea medicine if you’re susceptible to motion sickness.
If you plan to do any island-hopping, you’ll probably need to take a flight at some point. Flying is the fastest and most reliable way to get from island to island.
Of course, taking a boat between islands is something you’ll want to do while you’re there. Ferries range in size and shape, although most are fashioned from old fishing boats. Some ferries are designed for sight-seeing while others simply offer quick transport. You may also want to paddle your own boat during your visit to the Philippines, where kayaking and paddling is a popular visitor activity.
Is bartering expected in the Philippines, or are prices strictly set?
Street vendors and souvenir shops are very open to bartering and negotiation, as are taxi drivers.
Don’t expect to barter when it comes to food and drink—although you likely won’t feel the urge, as restaurant prices are incredible affordable. A nice lunch may only cost you $2 or so.
Do I need a visa?
If you’re a U.S. citizen planning to visit the Philippines for 30 days or less, you won’t need a visa. Just make sure your passport is current. You may also need to provide proof of your plans to return home (airline tickets, for example).
Is it expensive to travel to the Philippines?
The most expensive part of your Philippines travel will likely be your international flight to arrive there. Generally, all-inclusive Philippines tour packages range from $100-200 per day, although there are some priced as low as $70 per day, and some luxury experiences may increase past $300 per day. Independent travelers can explore with a budget of $35-50 per day, but need to be prepared for the additional costs of ferries and airplanes to explore various islands.
Can I use my cell phone?
You can use your cell phone while traveling through the Philippines, but coverage may be unreliable or nonexistent in rural areas, or out at sea. Be sure to sign up for an international usage plan with your provider before you leave home to avoid exorbitant international rates. Wifi, which is widely available in cities, is always free.
Packing Suggestions for the Philippines
The warm, temperate climate of the Philippines is good news for travelers who like to pack light. You’ll probably feel comfortable with just a few loose-fitting summer outfits. If you plan to do any significant walking or hiking, you’ll want a supportive pair of shoes with sturdy soles.
Beach visitors will want wide-brimmed hat for protection from the sun’s powerful rays in this equatorial region, as well as high-SPF sunscreen.
Expect cooler temperatures in the mountains and high-elevation zones, especially at night—bring long sleeves and pants to stay warm if your Philippines tour package includes a visit to these areas.
Philippine Languages
Filipino (Tagalog) is the official language of the Philippines, but many first-time travelers to the Philippines are surprised to learn that the use of English is ubiquitous throughout the country. There are over 120 languages and dialects spoken throughout the island archipelago, some of which are mutually unintelligible.
English acts as a lingua franca across the entire country, and almost everyone speaks at the conversational level, if not fluently. Public signs and traveler brochures are always provided in English.

Philippines Highlights 12 Days Adventure
Must do adventure.
One big reason to make Philippines Tour plan happens to be its sparkling beaches and the laid-back pleasure that they offer. But if you want to get in the middle of an active beach scene, the White Beach in Boracay welcomes you in all its spirit. Take a ride on a glass-bottom boat and enjoy the strikingly beautiful water or go snorkeling if you are more of an adventure-freak. You can always laze in the hammocks under the palm trees’ shades and enjoy the warmth of these pristine beaches.
Manila happens to be the capital city of the Philippines and is a congregation of a bustling modern culture with a wealthy amount of history thrown about it. Walk around Manila on your own or take a guided sightseeing tour of the Intramuros or the Walled City, which happens to be the oldest district of the country. You can also pay a visit to the renowned San Agustin Church or find the considerable influence that the monuments at Rizal Park and Fort Santiago have on the city.
If you are one of those adrenaline-junkies or travel enthusiasts who would do anything for the thrill of it, then exploring the Sungat Island in Coron from the sunken ships will be one experience you will cherish throughout your life. The warships Akitsushima Maru, Irako Maru, and the Kyokuzan Maru were all victims of an attack by the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Second World War. They formed one of the best diving sites in the world with access to view underwater wildlife in all its glory.
Bucket List Experience
Boracay Island
Boracay Island is one of the most sought-after travel destinations in all of the Philippines because of its abundance of unsullied beaches. You can book a glass-bottom boat ride to enjoy the view of the marine wildlife and the diverse population of the fishes from the White Beach or ride a banana-boat to feel all-touristy. Rejuvenate yourself in Boracay island during your Philippines Tour.
Visiting Bohol is a one-of-a-kind experience. Be ready to immerse in the scenic splendor of the Chocolate Hills, which are nothing but a range of around 1200 small hills that had emerged from the sea and turn into a chocolaty brown color during the summer months. This natural phenomenon is a UNESCO world heritage site, and a view of these hills and the rivers descending into waterfalls will prove fulfilling enough to last a lifetime.
Get your cameras ready if you are visiting the Banaue region in the Philippines. The sunrise and the sunset view through the rice farms can be an unforgettable experience, as they are illuminated in an electric green hue by the emerging and fading rays of the sun. The rice farms are made on terraces that have been cut out on the hill slopes as the region is devoid of flat land. Not only is it a picturesque view of Philippine agriculture but also evidence of the marvels of engineering.
The west coast of Luzon Island is notable for the tourist-friendly city of Vigan, where travelers from all over the world visit for an experience of the Spanish colonial architecture molded with Asian architecture. The Calle Crisologo offers a walk in history with Spanish era homes, cobblestone lanes, and the rustic mansions. The white baroque Vigan Cathedral and the Plaza Salcedo, known for its Dancing Fountain light shows are worthy of your time.
Manila is the Philippines’ capital city and is a thriving metropolis that is surrounded by the unmistakable signs of colonial history. It is a city that is humming with life and clamor and houses a few of the most significant tourist attractions and landmarks that can be explored on foot or guided tours on bikes. The flying jeepneys on the streets can be quite a view as you munch on the delicious local cuisine at some restaurant. You can also visit the San Agustin Church or the monuments at Fort Santiago and Rizal Park and learn about their historical significance if you are interested in finding out about the heritage of the city.
The Davao city, situated in the Mindanao Island, is a hotbed of geographical features, with the Davao river cutting across the city and the proximity of Mount Apo, the country’s highest peak. It is one of the biggest coastal commercial centers in the country. You can visit the People’s Park at the center of the city and marvel at the exquisite and colorful sculptures as well as the lighted fountains. You can also choose to visit the famous Crocodile Park, which houses thousands of these reptilian creatures.
When to Visit
Peak season.
December to April is the busiest and the peak tourist season in the Philippines with the celebration of various cultural and religious festivals and sightseeing experiences at pleasant temperatures. May to October is mostly warm and damp and hence witnesses fewer tourists.

Best time to visit philippines.
With a year-round warm climate, expect hot weather when visiting the Philippines at any time of the year. Sea breezes prevail in the coastal regions between November and February, so travel during this time if you wish to take the edge off the heat. January to May are considered the optimum times to visit though, as it is best to avoid the typhoon season which runs from July to October and involves heavy rain, flooding and high winds.
Geography and environment
Consisting of more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines archipelago is located in the South-East of Asia , in between the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea. Being a part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippines is home to many active volcanoes and a staggering amount of biodiversity, with thousands of plant, mammal, fish and bird species living on land and in the sea. As a very mountainous country, the Philippines is dotted with numerous peaks, which give way to deep valleys that are often studded with rivers and streams. Tropical rainforest occupies much of the landmass, with most of the population living on the low lying coastal areas.
Festivals and events
With a history dating back to 1210, this flamboyant festival is considered one of the Philippines' best. Think massive ostentatious costumes, loud drumming, floats of parading dancers, riotous crowds and a healthy dose of partying, and you've got Ati-Atihan—the Philippines' best shot at Rio Carnaval.
Grand Cordillera Festival
Baguio reserves the fourth last week of November to celebrate life and local culture with ethnic songs, dance, costumes and food. This festival spreads peace and tolerance and provides an interesting snapshot of the lives of the ethnic people of the northern Luzon area.
Iloilo City gets its chance to party with its own version of Ati-Atihan. City streets are decked out with colorful banners, street stalls sizzle with barbecued pork and chicken, and costumed dancers compete for glory.
Feast of Our Lady of Candles
This annual display of epic religious pageantry features a procession of the patroness, fiesta queen and court through the streets and town center of Jaro. Locals carry candles and a statue of the Virgin Mary to the town cathedral, where crowds of people wait. This spirited and vibrant festival is a great introduction to Filipino culture and religious celebrations.
Obando Fertility Festival
Want to see couples dance through the streets in aid of hopefully producing a child? Each year, the town of Bulacan holds this festival for childless couples who wish to produce children. Couples dance down the street to the local church, dance up the aisle and attend mass in honor of the three local patron saints.

You’ll be able to dive the “sardine run,” marvel at the Chocolate Hills and watch Coron’s magical fireflies put on an incredible evening’s light show. Our adventure leaders will unlock an intriguing nation and help you understand the nature of life amidst these stunning natural sights.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
