Hocus Pocus Movie Tour

My 10 yr old daughter and I did the Hocus Pocus Tour. Our tour guide was Michael, and he was very informative with great stories and history of both Salem and the movie. He put out great energy from jump! He was awesome at taking photos for everyone in the group at specific locations. This is a long tour and the kiddos will probably tire out, but my 10 yr old made it through. I did appreciate the additional information regarding Salem history aside from just the specifics from the movie. My daughter did say she wished it had been more centered around the movie. All in all, we would have done it again because our tour guide was awesome.

The tour was outstanding! Our guide, Diane, was informative, friendly, fun and definitely held our attention. I’ve been on dozens of similar tours all over the country and this was the best tour without a doubt!

What an amazing tour! Our guide, Sean, was awesome. He was so passionate and really made the stories come alive. Of course we went at the busiest time of year, but Sean always made sure he was giving us the best tour he could (considering there were thousands of people there and it was just so busy) 10/10 recommended!!

Fun and Informative Experience

Family of 6, middle aged, young adults and teens. We had a great time. Our family is particularly interested since an ancestor was one of those executed in the witch trials. We learned a lot, laughed and saw some beautiful historic places. Very interesting and fun. Michael was our tour guide and was a great story teller.

Michael was AMAZING! Started the tour started on time and after accounting for everyone's presence. He was kind and funny. He was very knowledgeable and spoke loudly enough to hear. The pace of the walk and stops was ideal. Time flew by and left us with warm memories. I would highly recommend.

Dawn our Tour Guide was AMAZING!!! Super Knowledgable, funny, kind, super nice and it made for a really great time even in the cold and windy conditions later at night!! I would come again and request Dawn. bc she made it sooo fun!!The. owner of the company reached out via text to help me catch up and find the group when I got lost trying to find parking and the office etc.

This was an amazing walking tour with a memorable guide. The tour guide William was passionate about history and shared anecdotes and clear thinking analysis of the events. He told us how Salem came about and its history to the present day including details about the witches trial. He showed us pictures and told us how Salem is bustling with people in October and made us want to visit the city then. He shared his insights into witches trial and kept us engaged throughout the 2 hours despite the windy weather. After listening to one of his haunted story regarding the Rockafellas restaurant, we decided to dine there even though that was not our initial plan. We highly recommend this tour and the tour guide and would definitely recommend this tour to others as well as take more tours with this company when we return.

William, our for guide was amazing! He gave us a little history of Salem and some of its people. He really emphasized the importance of the trials, the history behind them, and what we should learn from the mistakes of the trials. Find out when William is working... It is worth the effort

Best tour guide we have ever taken a tour with - anywhere! William maintained the perfect balance of providing information and keeping us entertained. He managed the historical significance, gravity, and impact of the Salem witch trials with respect. Yet he left us with a smile, ready to enjoy all that Salem has to offer. Don't forget to tour the garden.

The garden is so peaceful and beautiful. There is a magnificent Copper Beach that will take your breath away. We enjoyed the house and learning about the Ropes family. A must see when in Salem.

I stopped by the outside to see the beautiful gardens and grounds since the interior is closed except on weekends. The grounds are absolutely stunning!

I stopped by the Ropes Mansion to see the exterior since it was used in Hocus Pocus. It still looks exactly like it did in the film. The gardens are open to the public for free but they didn’t really look all that impressive to me. We walked in and glanced around but didn’t even walk all the way through. I would have liked to have seen the inside but everything is very vague about when it’s open. We even asked a guy doing some work around the house if he knew and he also gave a very vague answer. It would be nice to know for next time I’m in Salem. If you’re a Hocus Pocus fan, you’ll feel the nostalgia. If you’re not a Hocus Pocus fan...it’s still a beautiful house to run by and see!

This is a beautiful place to visit, stop during a busy day and take in the beauty of the gardens and fish pond. A lot of history exists here and is a bonus to take in.

Didn't know about the place, just happened to park nearby and it caught my eye. Didn't go inside the mansion itself but enjoyed taking pictures outside.

Only went into the garden on a ghost tour at night but it was really cool! I got a lot of information from the tour guide and I have two pictures with a blue rod in it. Spooky

Although the brunch was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances we were still able to go in and have drinks. The cocktails are amazing and the service is really quick. Georgie was really nice and helpful when we couldn’t decide what cocktails to have
