Great family adventure!

This was such a good time. A perfect night for a gondola ride under the full moon. It was a bit chilly but they had blankets available for us to use. Our gondolier was so fun. He kept us entertained as well as gave us some fun facts about the island. The experience is great for date night, proposals, friend dates and family adventure. Its a must do when in the Long Beach area.

Awesome Dinner Experience!

We had a great time on our gondola dinner cruise, led by Jake and Josh. We were able to see amazing sights and architecture, and loved how informative and fun our guides were! The food was great too- the chicken Alfredo pizza was a hit!

5 Stars! Perfect for any age, especially us older folks!

5 STARS! Took a Gondola ride for our 42nd wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. Our Gondolier, Waylon was so kind and knowledgeable. He took us around the canal's and explained a bit of history here and there and pointed out interesting things like the house with the fake shark head sticking out. He played a little romantic music and make the date really special for me and my husband. Thank you, Gondola Getaway and Waylon. And it was free parking! Ice cream shop a short drive away. Yum!

Perfect Afternoon!

Fantastic Gondola Experience, great Host (Josh)?, great staff, easy access and also free parking. Overall great experience. The trip was perfect, the add-on's well worth it such as message in a bottle and snack trays. The route is great and just the right amount of time. Looking forward to the night cruise. We took a noon cruise. Very clean and professional, comfortable and friendly. Perfect.

Our Gondeliir Jared was a joy!

We had a great evening celebrating my mom’s special birthday. There was room enough for six adults. Jared was knowledgeable about the different houses and the history of Naples. Lots of great conversation and he also seeing us a beautiful song under one of the bridges. It was a cool way to spend a hot night in Long Beach!

Power boat slams into Long Beach jetty, killing one and injuring 10 others

A power boat is mostly submerged in waters beside a jetty.

  • Copy Link URL Copied!

One person was killed and several more were injured Wednesday evening when a 48-foot power boat crashed into the Alamitos Bay jetty in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded about 9:21 p.m. and found 11 people at the scene, including one man in his 50s who had died in the accident.

Seven patients requiring advanced care were transported by Long Beach Fire paramedics to hospitals while three others were taken to hospitals by EMTs, said Capt. Jack Crabtree of the Long Beach Fire Department.

Crabtree said speed was likely a factor in the accident. Initial estimates were that the boat was traveling 40 mph, but the exact speed will be determined later once the investigation is complete, he said.

Authorities have not released additional information about the cause of the crash.

The incident is under investigation.
