Having had previous good experiences with this company I decided to use them to take our daughter to a hotel near Heathrow from our home in Dorset. This driver sent a text some time before due time asking if he could come early to which we agree 30 minutes early. He duly arrived in an accident damaged car which was not encouraging. Our daughter is a nervous passenger at the best of times and was scared stiff when the car was driven at speeds up to 90 mph on the A303 and also very fast through roundabouts. He did slow down to the legal limit of up to 70 mph for the rest of the journey after she complained. On the plus side he was helpful with her luggage on arrival at the hotel. Taxi drivers should always drive with due care for the comfort and safety of passengers and that was not the case here.

I am a driver who waited few times more then expected and was not reimbursed as they lying around and they charged me when i handed back the job 5 hours before and they dont have any rights to charge me Stay away from this company as a driver Customer service rubish dont know to read even and to answer properly for your questions Not even was answered and they deleted my account because they couldnt resolve my question where i can complain officialy an email adress was requested . Asked where is stated you can charge me and answered that see the picture So stealing your money take care be carefully how do you work for them Stay away from them even if you are a customer

Driver was on time, but that's pretty much where the positives end. Kept braking very suddenly,could not pick a speed and sped the whole journey. Was left feeling very motion sick. I wish this was a one off but our previous two transfers with this company were the exact same experience. Will not be choosing then again and I would steer clear of them, only a matter of time before their drivers' reckless driving results in an accident.

I terrible service! Do not waste your money. I received a phone call while waiting for my bags. He wanted me to call him when in the lounge, I reminded him I had paid for meet and greet, then he complained about the cost of parking. When I got through he was stood there however on his phone. He then went to grab my carryon. I gave him the larger bag. He raced through the car park still on his phone, not looking where I was. Complained when I wanted my carryon case with my laptop in the back. The car was not clean and just looked grubby. Did not have my address he said it was in his email. The whole journey was tense and not pleasant. I contacted the company afterwards, no apology because the driver denied everything. Don't expect to get any customer service or accountability from this company.

Had to give him directions as he was going the long way round and we travelled in complete silence (Awkward)!Also as I have a walking stick he didn't open the sliding door for me and when I asked he slammed the door after me and slightly caught my fingers but thankfully my reflexes saved me from a more serious injury. I must say though my previous driver on the last two occasions was excellent.

We were charged £19 extra for the time it took us to get to the taxi, while it was typical time it takes for anyone to get out of the airport. I never paid attention to the small print/T's and C's which they have as part of their booking to rip people off. When I challenged this unfair charge, instead of helping, the OTS agent instructed the driver to hold us on the roadside until the over-charge dispute was settled while OTS had my card details from the original booking and all I requested was to allow me to reach home and read OTS T's and C's at my convenience. We felt very unsafe and went through a lot of stress due to the OTS behaviour. I am infuriated at the way I and my family were treated during this pickup service. I have never had a Taxi experience like this in my whole life. I have been travelling for 20 plus years. No other taxi company ever pressurised me over time to get out of airport like this. As a passenger I would expect a Taxi company who is doing airport transfers to be sensible about the business they are in and factor in some flexibility of the time it takes to collect baggage and go through immigration. I had kept driver updated about our whereabouts within the airport the whole time. The driver confirmed over phone that he would leave for airport once I have collected the baggage and that's exactly what he did. So the driver hardly waited for 5-10 mins at the airport. Hence the waiting charge is highly unfair. What made it worse was that driver instructed us to get to drop off lane for pick up which is against the law and it took us extra time to find the place and we were charged for that time too when we should have been picked from the arrivals parking. So the two reasons given to me to justify extra waiting charges i.e. extra parking charges and extra waiting time, both don't really apply in this case. Needless to say, I will never use OTS again after this horrible experience.

We waited nearly an hour at the exit to International arrivals. We hadchanged phone détails but that,,and our position was relayed to the office. It seems these détails had not been transmitted to the driver. He was very apologetic and the ride to our destination was efficient.

GET AN UBER OTS's driver was unable to direct me to the pickup spot at Gatwick South Terminal. Although we initially communicated by text, he called me while I was walking out of the airport to tell me the pickup location - undoubtedly the most important information for the passenger to know. I had to tell him many times (speaking on the phone and also by text) that I was having difficulty hearing him due to a bad connection. I repeatedly requested that he text me this information and he refused to do so. I even texted him my precise location in the parking garage (where, as best as I could tell because it was hard to hear him, I thought he had directed me to go). He grew increasingly rude and began our last call by shouting at me. I did not feel happy or safe to ride with him after that, nor was I inclined to further trust a company that would employ such a driver. As OTS never shared his name or badge/license number with me I cannot identify this driver specifically, and so I can only recommend that passengers (especially solo female travellers) avoid this company altogether. Luckily, I was able to get an Uber home; with Uber, I was provided with clear, precise directions to the pickup location, the fare was lower, and the driver was communicative and treated me with courtesy and respect the entire time. Meanwhile, OTS refuses to issue me a refund. I do not often leave online reviews, but my experience with this company was so shocking that I wanted to share it here and give passengers a chance to avoid a similar negative experience. Get home safe, everybody.

Avoid at any circumstances, even if you have to walk! Charging you upfront without providing any service and then you need to end up in court to get your losses back. Bottom line company! Avoid!

Booked their service for my guest. Paid 90 GBP booking fee, however, the driver claimed 12 GBP is required to be paid for extra wait time. The issue and the frustration emerged because the driver started the trip and decided to pull over in the middle of the road because of the extra 12 GBP and asked my guest out of his car. If he didn't leave the airport there would have been no issue, and even if he spent extra time parking to settle the issue and the discussion eventually broke down, the company would have still had enough to cater for the extra parking time because I already made the payment. I explained to their customer care that I had already paid 90GBP for the trip and would like to talk to my guest to confirm the exit time they landed and came out of the airport in order to calculate the wait time but the customer care insisted the driver would need to pull over. Avoid using their service, the driver was very rude, their customer care don't care, they know they have your booking fee and they take undue advantage of that.

I've used Onward Travel Solutions twice for business. Both times I have paid extra to be greeted by the driver. I've paid extra so I can start my journey straight away without needing to wait at all, exactly what you want after a business trip. On both occasions the drivers were not waiting for me and I had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for them to arrive. I understand they do this in case of any delays without racking up car parking fees. But don't offer this as an additional cost if it's not something you can fulfill. Both drivers were fine for the actual journey's but it really frustrates me when you pay extra for a service and then you don't get what you paid for.

I cannot fault the service received from OTS the drivers have been excellent, very friendly and reliable. Pick up driver arrive on time (we’ll actually a little bit early which was great) so no worrying about arriving on time. Return driver had texted before we had landed and was there ready and waiting for us! It was so good not having to faff about with the airport parking, dropped off and picked up right outside the terminal. The Customer-service phone line was also fantastic, I had to change pick up time at short notice- the day before! It was sorted within seconds without a problem. I would say the perfect start and end to a lovely holiday. I will be using OTS for all my holiday airport journeys in the future.

Awful company, they took money from my account without my permission. They cost me 1 and half hours waiting at Gatwick. In my opinion they are con-merchant. Driver slept on the side of the M25

The driver was reckless, swerving all over the road, constant speed changes from over 80 down to 50. This was all due to the fact that he was sleepy. He kept saying sleepy and then he finally pulled onto the side of the M25 to sleep. Here I am, a lone female passenger in his car, I sat in the front seat because I get car sick in the backseat, and he pulls over on the M25 for a kip! Laid his seat back and off to dreamland! It was scary and unprofessional! He closed his eyes and slept for several mintues. Then he finally wakes up, jumps out of the car to get water and biscuits. Then we finally get back on the road to my destination. It was only a 70 mile drive. When arriving at my destination, my luggage was soaked, the boot of the car was soaked with water, how and why, I don't really know. Very unprofessional and scary journey! He also smelled like a goat! Worse than a goat to be quite honest! My return journey to the airport was also canceled 1 hour before pickup time, which left me in a rush to find a replacement taxi. I will never use OTS ever again!

Driver phoned the day before trip to confirm journey. He arrived a little early (as he said he might) and was helpful and polite. Assisted with loading and unloading cases and was knowledgeable about drop off zones at Birmingham airport. Have used this company several times and always had first class service.

Nightmare experience

Both legs of this journey were nightmares! I ordered a16 seater with facilities to accommodate child seats & having spoken to a customer advisor was assured that this was possible. On the morning of the outward journey, a 55 seat coach arrived with no child seat facilities. It was 28 minutes late & I had to contact the driver. He made no attempt to contact me despite later claiming that he did! On The return trip, a ramshackle mini bus arrived! It was old, smelly, the seats had seen better days & there was no A/C fitted. One of the child seats could not be accommodated & we had a very bumpy & uncomfortable journey home. The attitude of the so called customer service people was condescending & offensive & refused to accept any of my legitimate comments. A thourorly bad experience!

I picked this company from the….

I picked this company from the internet. I had no idea whether they were reliable or not. They were excellent. The driver collected us from our home address exactly on time in a clean and comfortable people carrier. The driver was lovely, he took our cases and packed them away and was very polite and courteous. I had been sent information about our return journey by email which included the telephone numbers of the drivers. This made our return journey so much easier. We were returning late at night from Bristol airport, all I needed to do was phone the mobile number provided and the driver told us where he would meet us. Although it was a different driver, he was again very polite and the car was beautifully clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this company and will be using them again myself.

Shocking service. Booked taxi was 1 hour 15 minutes late. Rude, obnoxious customer service person who despite arranging alternative transportation (Uber) had no sympathy or empathy for our situation. Never ever using again!

Great communication, great driver. We were 5 hours delayed and OTS made changes without cost. Cannot fault this service. Our driver re-routed due to problems on M6 and he was friendly, pick up was so easy. The car was excellent as was the driver himself. Really happy, would recommend and reuse.

Sour faced driver

Driver was on time but was very offhand.

Be Very Wary.

My booked transport failed to arrive. I therefore missed my flight and was told twice to send in receipts for rebooked flight and that they would reimburse me. They now say they will not reimburse me as my timings MAY have resulted in a missed flight anyway. How they can claim this as a reason to refuse my claim when their booked vehicle didn’t turn up in the first place is risible. I am taking them to court.

Shocking “service”

Shocking “service” We were left stranded at 5am, waiting for an 8 seater minibus, the driver called and said he would be with us at 6 as he’d had to go back for his phone! I paid months ago and they refunded the original cost plus the difference between that and what the last minute car parks cost for the 2 cars we had to take to the airport. Nothing for the fuel, wear and tear and the sheer stress of letting us down. They were the best price but the worst service. DO NOT USE!

Don't recommend!

Our flight came in late at night and was delayed, we booked the additional meet & greet however our driver was not present when we arrivied in arrivals. I called the number provided on the email which took me to the local office and they said they'd contact the driver. After calling the office again and waiting another 10 minutes (at 3am) I called the main office and was passed to a lovely employee. She informed me the driver could not be contacted and instead booked an uber for us to get home. When booking the taxi I stated I was a wheelchair user, and as such have to wait until everyone has left the airplane for the special assistance. Also I provided the flight number and where it was coming in from so they should have been aware of the 1 hour delay.

Avoid ! Rude driver he started driving off when I still had one leg out of the car. Seatbelts were not accessible in the car. Very uncomfortable experience especially as I had my young daughter and wife with me. Never use this service get an Uber. Company refused to give me a refund as he got me to my destination. I will taking this up with my credit card company. They cannot provide a service like this.

The driver never showed up at Heathrow…

The driver never showed up at Heathrow airport. Unfortunately, I had booked the taxi online via Onward Travel Solutions- also known as Airport Taxis) to pick us up after a long flight back home. The driver was not aware of our booking when I called. OTS merely passed the buck back to Xpress Airport Transfer who were the company fulfilling my booking(even though OTS took my money and are ultimately responsible). Finally, I spoke to the owner/ manager of Xpress and he apologised- but he had the cheek to suggest that he was booking us an Uber and keeping our money (including Meet & Greet fees) - I had already checked that Uber was almost £30 cheaper if I booked directly. So I demanded a cancellation & refund. I’m still awaiting my refund to come through. Completely hopeless and greedy behaviour to boot. They should as a minimum not have tried to charge the same fees if they were getting me an Uber for much less money. Uber came within 10 mins - I will use Uber from now on.

Although paid in full in advance failed to pick me up from Stansted Airport even though full flight details were provided at the time of order with my full payment. Waited over 30 minutes after Stansted Airport information telephoned this scamming company who informed Stansted Info they did not know where their driver was but to wait by WHSmith store for collection. These scammers refuse to refund what is due me. Be aware this company not only defaults on their contract but their charge is £26 higher than Stansted Airport Approved Taxis (Street Cars). I made the mistake please be warned. THRILLED to add that my Bankers have made a full recovery of the money I paid to Onward Travel Solutions. It has taken time so BEWARE AND AVOID

Misleading info on booking page

I booked a taxi from Heathrow for three people and three cases. The website said the car would be a VW Passat, Ford Mondeo or equivalent. In reality, it was a (smaller) Toyota Prius and our luggage (narrowly) didn't fit. The company didn't apologise for the misleading information on its booking page, took absolutely no responsibility for the mix-up, and I ended up waiting and paying for a second taxi. There was no refund or even partial refund for the taxi I had booked, even though it never made the 80km journey that was planned. This experience was the last thing needed after a longhaul flight. They have pointed to information deeper in the website with more information about number / type of cases, but this is not at all obvious from the booking page where the car type, in particular, is thoroughly misleading. The booking page only mentions the maximum weight of the cases, not the dimensions - not that mine were large. The driver told me the same thing had happened the previous week. I see other reviewers have had a similar experience, too. Having used OTS previously without any problems on several occasions, the lack of follow-up, accountability or any sense that they may be at fault, even partially, has been disappointing. I will not be using them again.

Flight ahead of time, disasterous interaction airporttaxis-uk.com and extremely poor service

Firstly, be very aware that this lot come up as airporttaxis-uk.com. Flight ahead of time. Notified OTS before take off, and they replied to say driver had been notified. Turned out to be untrue. Waited an hour for taxi, and it was only because the driver checked another app that he knew we had landed and had the courtesy to phone and apologise that he would be late. So far all very unfortunate and inefficient, but just about understandable. However went downhill fast over interactions with office. Turns out OTS is a large company subbing contracts out. No direct employment of drivers. The office did phone to apologise at the start of the process on arrival when I told them of the driver’s lateness. Then it all went Pete Tong. A promise to follow up was not honoured. So I phoned them. I was handed to a ‘manager’ who was very offhand and unconcerned. When I directly expressed how angry I was and not the service I expect for £134, he refused to say anything in response to my demand he tell me what he proposed to do about charging. The mantra became ‘put the complaint in writing’. I then said I would but wanted to know now what he was proposing to do:: “nothing”. So I terminated the call. Really, given the other 1 star reviews I only have myself to blame, but you always hope you’ll be a 5 star, don't you? Well my advice is, do not risk it. Go elsewhere and pay £5 more.
