Radamis II Nile Cruise Overview

Our trip along the famous Nile River on the Radamis II Nile Cruise will be one you’ll never forget. Imagine gliding through the beautiful landscapes of Egypt, where every bend in the river hides riches from long ago and beauty that will never fade.

Aswan, Gateway to the Past:

Aswan , a place full of history and wonder, is where our trip begins. You’ll feel like you’re in the world of the pharaohs as we visit these amazing sites:

The first place on our list is the beautiful Philae Temple on Agilika Island, a peaceful haven. It is a beautiful ode to the goddess Isis, and the water around it is calm. Next, we are amazed by the Unfinished Obelisk , a huge example of how hardworking and skilled the ancient Egyptians were. Look at the huge stone that never got to where it was supposed to be in the sky.

Then we come to the Aswan High Dam , a modern wonder that tamed the Nile and created the beautiful Lake Nasser. It is amazing how important it is to history and the environment. Get ready for an optional trip to the stunning Abu Simbel Temple , where huge statues of Ramses II guard the door, showing how devoted and powerful the pharaohs were.

We will also see the unique Kom Ombo Temple , dedicated to the gods Sobek, a snake, and Horus, a falcon. You will be amazed by its two-tone design and complex reliefs. Of course, there’s the Edfu Temple , dedicated to the falcon god Horus and in great shape. Its tall entrance and elaborate carvings take you back to a long time ago.

Luxor’s Timeless Treasures:

As we move toward Luxor , a wealth of history and culture lies ahead:

The first place we’ll visit is the huge Karnak Temple , a huge complex with huge columns and complicated hieroglyphics that honor the gods. Then, we’ll take a walk through Luxor Temple , which is a place where history and religion meet. The lit colonnades there are fascinating.

The Hatshepsut Temple built into the rocks and showing how great the female pharaoh Hatshepsut was, is a testament to her power. Look at the huge Colossi of Memnon figures that used to guard Amenhotep III’s tomb temple. Finally, we go to the Valley of the Kings , where the secrets of the pharaohs are buried under the desert and ready to be found.

Unique Optional Activities:

But these famous places aren’t the end of our trip. Radamis II Nile Cruise offers special extras to add to your Egyptian adventure: At sunrise, take a hot air balloon ride above the Nile to see the beautiful scenery from above.

Visit a traditional Nubian village to get a feel for Nubian culture. There you can meet people from the village and learn about their way of life. As you set sail on a traditional felucca boat, you can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Nile and its soft beat. Don’t miss the amazing sound and light show at famous temples. They bring history to life in a way that is hard to believe.

The Radamis II Nile Cruise, one of the 5-star Cruises , will show you the amazing things Egypt used to be like and help you make memories that will last a lifetime. Come with us on this amazing trip where the magic of the Nile and the charm of Egypt’s past come together perfectly.

  • eldetted2022 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles 3 star travel The Royal Esadora could do with a refurb, it says 5 star, I would give it 3 at best. Egypt, the land of Egyptian cotton, the linen and towels had seen better days. Could really do with replacing. The cutlery, especially the knives, looked as though they had been used as screwdrivers at some point? The plates were an odd assortment, well worn and plenty chipped and still in service. Most places would toss such poorly looking and chipped crockery. The staff are friendly, and try hard to please, I would not say English proficient- know some words. Buffets had wide assortment, one could always find something to eat, but certainly not 5 star, but there was food. It was a pleasant experience if you gear your head for 3 star. • Simon1985au 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great time had We had an amazing time on the Concerto as part of our wider Egypt tour. The vessel is a bit old, and could do with some minor renovations to the rooms, but that was nothing major, and kind of what I expected on a Nile cruise. The food was pretty good as well, though the start time of 8pm for dinner service did seem a little late to me. The pool isn't big at all, but that seemed the norm looking at some of the other ships, and after a group of people got into the water after slathering on tanning lotion, the water did start looking a bit questionable after day 2 🤣. The staff though we're the highlight of the trip, they were absolutely beautiful to talk with. Mustafa and Ahmed in the bar were extremely friendly and very happy to stop and have a chat. Both were very helpful with anything that we needed the entire stay. Ibry (not sure if I spelt that right) in the dining room greeted us every meal with a warm smile, and always made sure we were looked after. All in all, it was a really great experience for us. Then our private tour was just perfect with our guide Ashraf who was joining the two of us to share his knowledge about ancient/new egypt. Very good guide we recommend ! The tour we bought with tripadvisor is quite complete in my opinion as it includes all the key monuments on the nile river between luxor and aswan and the fifth day we went by car to abu simbal. The fact that the guide is only apointed to the couple (as private tour) is very convenient! Finally, the tip is given to the entire cruise staff in an enveloppe at the end which is more comfortable than having to give a tip at every service like it is mostly the case in all egypt (I for example gave +- 10% of the price for tips divided to the guide and the staff) Read more Written May 27, 2023

  • POSTTHISPLEASE 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Nile Cruise March 2023 Royal Esadora The Classic Holidays and Orbital Travel service was first class and I agree with a previous review about Addi, the food and that it's best to avoid the drinks-inclusive package. We are not heavy drinkers but still went for this package as we thought it might help us get more easily served. How wrong we were! It might be better to pick a different boat anyway, as the Esadora's crew's attitudes to their guests and to service generally was very mixed and the boat always moored far away from anywhere you would want to be. • Gary G 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Review of 4 day 3 night Aswan-Luxor Nice cabins with 2 beds, two chairs, large sliging glass window, footstool and desk. Safe, Kleenex and fridge but no coffee maker. Small flat screen TV which could have travel documentaries on TV because of the sit around time at lock and cruising. BBC and CNN were available while docked at Aswan. Wine only by the bottle only but screw top and they will keep it for you or take it to your cabin. Depending on direction of travel on the Nile select either right or left side for the sun. All meals buffet style. A/C appears to be controllable but our room always stayed at 22 degrees...72 Fahrenheit. Ship wi-fi was untested by me at 170EP per 24 hours. I used my Verizon cellphone (a month of foreign travel for 100USD or 10USD per day) as a wi-fi hotspot for our laptops. Caution try it out at home because you may have to use some added software e.g. pdaNet to make it work. The ships stack up at the docks so don’t expect a Nile/shore view. We did a three day Aswan to Luxor cruise. I’m pretty sure all run similar programs. The biggest problem is that there are so many ships they are stacked at the dock. We were the second of four ships and everyone except the outermost ship was just looking right into another stateroom 10’ away. If your were lucky to be the outermost ship you still would only have a 50% chance of seeing the Nile. Day 1 check-in and look at your neighbor..Day 2 either get up at 4AM to drive 3 ½ hours to Abu Simbel OR get picked up at 6AM to fly to Abu Simble and fly back by 1230PM...once everyone back on the ship it sails, stopping around 5PM to visit to a most interesting Temple Kom Ombo. Back on ship for dinner and continue to dock at Erfu for overnight. The next morning most leave at 6AM for a horse carriage ride to another Temple (we slept in). Day 3 spent cruising the Nile to Luxor (we chose a right side cabin to avoid afternoon sun) the only attraction being a lock. The tour programs indicate that you arrive in Luxor early enough to see all the main attractions on both side of the Nile. We managed Luxor Temple from 6PM until they turned the lights out at 8PM. Day 4 by 8AM you are off the boat. Our tour took us to Karnak Temple and check-in to a hotel. That afternoon we did the West Bank Valley of the Kings etc. Hours of sit-around punctuated by a few early get-ups and frantic touring. Read more Written April 19, 2023
  • Modernmalcolm 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Cairo & Nile Cruise via Classic Holidays 1 week Nile cruise booked through Classic Holidays with 3 nights in Cairo beforehand. Overall, definitely value for money & recommended as an excellent trip. Couple of top tips: - don’t take £1 or €1 coins to use as tips. The Egyptians can’t change coins. Best way to tip is using US $1 bills or local currency which you can withdraw from an ATM of which there are plenty! - Be aware if you have booked an excursion to the Pyramids via Classic holidays; the price only included entry to the site of the pyramids. There is an extra cost to go inside the pyramids & to be taken via horse & cart to the extreme of the site for a decent photo opportunity. I wouldn’t recommend the horse & cart as the horses are not treated well at all. Otherwise the info from Classic holidays was spot on and all excursions & transfers worked as expected. The Cruise: MS Royal Esadora is a decent boat. It’s not as smart as some of the others but it was spotless, with decent cabins & good facilities. Classic Holidays use Orbital Travel to look after you on the cruise & we lucked out with our tour guide Ahmed. Exceptionally knowledgable, he proved an excellent guide & really helped make every excursion engaging. Unless you’re planning to drink yourselves silly every night (there’s little opportunity to do so in reality) I don’t think it’s worth paying for the drinks package. It’s doubtful you’ll drink enough to warrant it. Prices of on board drinks are pretty reasonable. Be aware that most excursions start early morning (6am wake up calls). This is necessary as the afternoon sun gets extremely hot so they try & get you back to the boat for lunch. All the temples were unique in their own way & as the week went on increasingly awesome! There are optional excursions; we did 3. Coach trip to Abu Simbel involves a long drive through the desert with a very early start but is absolutely worth doing. The Sound & Light show at Philae Temple was a nice experience but grossly overpriced. High tea at the Old Cataract Hotel in Awsan was pure joy & well worth doing. Food onboard the boat is buffet style. It’s as you’d expect; a mixed bag and a tad repetitive but with some excellent salads. Staff on board generally very polite & helpful. We can definitely recommend the onboard masseur. She was excellent!! Read more Written April 18, 2023
  • MikeS1135 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Disappointing Experience Where to begin. We came onboard with a total of 8 people. The ship was old and tired. The Buffett was poor. Food was dry and very little variety. Our shower head was black with mold. The room smelled of body odor. Getting on and off the boat was easy and was a smooth sail. If your expectations are low, you will likely enjoy your time on board. Wait staff were friendly. Drinks I felt were reasonable in price. Approximately $1 USD for a 1.5L bottle of water. Biggest issue was the food though. I haven’t had McDonalds in about 4 years but I ran off for lunch when I saw what was on the Buffett line. Choose wisely Read more Written April 14, 2023

Cabin could have been a bit cleaner but it was very spacious and had a sofa which I moved so I could sit and look out as we cruised along. Pool deck had only one sunshade and so got very warm when the boat wasn't moving. Pool was adequate and tested regularly to ensure safety but still managed to look a little grubby at times. Food was very good and hygiene of food prep was excellent. I enjoyed my time on this boat and would recommend it. Read more Written April 8, 2023

3 Nights / 4 Days Friday from Aswan to Luxor

Day 1 tour around the landmarks of aswan / embarkation / felucca ride in aswan (friday):.

Once you arrive to Aswan International airport or Aswan railway station , and get outside the arrival hall of the airport or railway station, you will find our tour guide waiting you (outdoor) holding the sign of our company (Seba Tours Egypt) or a sign with your name, to greet you, then escorting you by the private air-conditioned vehicle in a day tour to visit the landmarks of Aswan, we will begin with a visit to Aswan's High Dam one of the marvels of the modern Egyptian history. It is a rock-fill dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan., and tames the Nile River and utilizes the power of the river for a variety of social and economic causes. .It Contains 18 times the material used in the great pyramid of Cheops

Then, you will head the Bank of the Nile river to get into one of the motor boats to sail towards Agilika island to visit the beautiful Temple of Goddess Isis at Philae . The construction of the temple began during the reign of King Ptolemy II, and then other Ptolemaic Kings contributed by adding more parts to the main Temple. It was Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO's rescue project, which transferred the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island. And it was dedicated to goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.

After ending this amazing day tour, you will be transferred towards the Nile Cruise Docks , and our guide will help you with the Nile Cruise ( M/S Radamis 2 ) embarkation “Checking in” , then after leaving your luggage in your cabin, you will go the restaurant to have your lunch meal.

Afternoon, around the Sunset time, Seba Tours Egypt tour guide will escort you to sail one of the authentic traditional Felucca boats along the longest River in the World "The Nile”, enjoy the fresh river breeze , and during the ride, you will see the beautiful islands of Aswan such as Elephantine island , one of the largest islands in Aswan. Its name meant both 'elephant' and 'ivory' in ancient Egyptian, a reminder of the important role the island once played in the ivory trade. Elephantine was considered as cult center for god Khnum. During your boat ride, you will witness also the island where Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens are located. It’s  peaceful paradise, full of shady trees, beautiful flowers and unusual plants. The island is a haven for rare exotic birds of many kinds and their colorful plumage can be glimpsed in the branches of most of the trees. Also you can notice and take some photos to the nearby famous Mausoleum of Aga Khan.

After this gorgeous ride, you will be transferred back to the floating hotel to have dinner and stay overnight in Aswan.

Day 2 Aswan Leisure Day or ( Optional ) Abu Simbel Tour / Visit to Kom Ombo (Saturday):

You will spend some Leisure Time on board during the Day Time.

Book an Optional tour to ( Abu Simbel ) as below:

In the early morning, ( Note: You will request a Breakfast box to take it on the go before starting the tour ), You will be picked up from your Nile Cruise in Aswan by the modern air conditioned vehicle with your Egytologist tour guide to start your trip towards Abu Simbel (around 3 Hrs. Driving) where you will visit the breathtaking two temples which were originally cut into a solid rock cliff, and built by the Great Egyptian King Ramses II. The relocation of the temples was a historic event in the 1960's. At that time, the temples were threatened by submersion in Lake Nasser when the High Dam was constructed. The Egyptian government with the support of UNESCO launched a world wide appeal to save these colossal landmarks. They were successfully dismantled and relocated to a spot 60 meters above the cliff where they had been initially built. The more famous of the two temples is dedicated to Ramses II and the smaller one to his favorite wife Nefertari . They were both built by Ramses II in the 13th century BC.

After ending this amazing trip, you will be transferred back to Aswan (around 3 Hrs. Driving) , and upon arrival afternoon, you will be dropped off at the floating hotel to take some rest and have your lunch on board. And start sailing towards Kom-Ombo …Enjoy the navigation along the Nile river , and take some beautiful photos to the magnificent scenery on both sides of the Nile.

The next visit will be at Kom-Ombo Temple which is located on the bank of the Nile river, and you will reach it on foot (around 5 minutes walking from the boat). Kom-Ombo Temple which is an unusual double temple constructed during the Ptolemaic period; due to the conflict between Sobek and Horus, the ancient Egyptians felt it necessary to separate their temple spaces within one temple. The Kom Ombo temple has two entrances, two courts, two colonnades, two Hypostyle halls and two sanctuaries, one side for each god, The Southern part for the Falcon god "Haroeris ", while the northern part for the Crocodile god "Sobek ". The reliefs showing the medical tools (surgical instruments) is among the most intriguing features of the temple. It can be found in the building’s rear, in the passageway that surrounds the main area.. At the time the relief was carved, Egyptian medical science was almost certainly the most advanced in the world.

Ending the visit, and proceed sailing to Edfu  . Have Dinner and stay overnight on board.

Day 3 Tour to Edfu / Sailing to Luxor / Day Tour on the East Bank of Luxor   (Sunday):

In the morning after finishing the Breakfast meal, our tour guide will accompany you to experience one of the authentic Horse-Drawn Carriage rides on your way to Edfu Temple . And upon arrival , you will start your visit to this Ptolemaic Temple and one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. the temple is dedicated to Falcon God Horus, the avenging son of Isis and Osiris. The ancient Egyptians believed that the temple was built on top of the location where the infamous battle of Horus and Seth took place. It is an excellent example of traditional Egyptian elements with Greek influences mixed in. The walls of the temples have many beautiful reliefs depicting many stories from the ancient Egyptian mythology. The Temple was the center of several festivals sacred to Horus.

After finishing the tour, you will get back to the Nile cruise to have your lunch meal on board, and start sailing to Luxor .

Upon arrival to Luxor afternoon, our tour guide will escort you to visit the remarkable Temples of the East Bank, Starting with the Complex of Karnak Temple which is a Cult temple dedicated to the Triad of Thebes (Amun, Mut and Khonsu), It is the largest religious building ever made. Which was developed from the middle Kingdom era till the Ptolemaic era. It’s actually a complex of many temples at one area, and each temple is dedicated to a specified god.

Then, heading to the second temple at the East Bank, Luxor Temple which was the focus of one of the most important religious festivals in ancient Egypt - the annual Opet Festival. There are different scenes on the walls representing the celebration of the festival. The temple has been in almost continuous use as a place of worship right up to the present day. During the Christian era, the temple’s hypostyle hall was converted into a Christian church, and the remains of another Coptic church can be seen to the west. Then for thousands of years, the mosque of Sufi Shaykh Yusuf Abu al-Hajjaj was built over it. This mosque was carefully preserved when the temple was uncovered and forms an integral part of the site today.

Once the tour is complete, you will be transferred back to the Nile cruise to have your dinner meal, and spend some beautiful time while watching entertainment show, and overnight in Luxor.

What People Say About Us

Thank you Egypt Fun Tours for a most memorable trip. I admit I didn’t do any of the planning (it was all done by my boyfriend) but as you can read in the reviews below Hani (the owner of Egypt Fun Tours) is superbly organized and accommodating with scheduling.

My boyfriend and I, and our dearest mutual friend, booked the 7Days-6Nights tour. In short time, we visited Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor sailing down the down the Nile, pit stopping to see key sites at these location – and so much more!!! We got to know the ancient and modern egypt in depth thanks to Hani’s impressive knowledge. He also enlightened us on the people and their beliefs and went as far as showing us what a typical life looks like. I cannot express the level of personalized service Hani offered us. He was flexible to adapt to our requirements and added sites to our schedule that was not part of the tour simply to ensure we were 100% satisfied with our experience in Egypt.

I went to Egypt practically blind-folded, not knowing what to expect, especially considering the time we had decided to go (December 2020 – we were the first group that Hani met with after months of having to put his tour agency on hold considering the pandemic) yet he managed to surpass all of our expectations. I felt so incredibly lucky for us to have stumbled on Hani. I would recommend Egypt Fun Tours to anyone and everyone. It was truly, HANDS DOWN, the best cultural experience I’ve ever had. You’ll be in the best of hands.

Nille cruise,Luxor and Aswan where amazing sites to see, specially when you have with you the best tour guide in Egypt .Hamada was absolutely fantastic, lots of information and some of them not spoken by others. This guy was not only a simple tour guide for us, he became a good friend also. Was a one in lifetime experience. Highly recommend Fun Tours. Really a great experience.

Hamada was incredible! So knowledgeable and kind. He had information about every item, street corner, and relic we looked at. Any questions we had, he had answers! He even made sure to give us tips while walking through the crowds so that’s we would feel more comfortable when being approached by vendors. Oh and the food?! He took us to the best places! Delicious food!! We tried Egyptian fried chicken, falafel for the first time, the best shawarma in the city (we love food). We even got to meet his beautiful wife and children and try some “French” Egyptian coffee in their home! Truly made friends for life!! We’ve promised to host him and the family when they travel to America for the first time! Such an incredible experience, and Hamada (and family) made it that much more memorable and amazing!

Trip of a lifetime!! COVID SAFE!! Knowledgeable guide who loves to share the magic of Egypt with tourists. Friendly and accomodating. This company goes to the extreme to make clients feel welcome and help you. Family company who takes good care of their support staff. Must book the 7 night trip which gives you a great feel for all of the history in upper and lower Egypt. The guide is an expert photographer and historian. He knows so much about each site and the culture. You MUST take this guide to teach you all about Egypt!
