" There is a shopping area with good b in Playa del Carmen (Chedraui Playa Del Carmen Centro) which is only 30-40 minutes walk from the resort "

" Watch out for the monkeys! "

" Sun loungers are reserved early but we always managed to find some. Get to the steakhouse early to avoid disppointment. "

" Just go and have fun. Room 4319 is on third floor, overlooking the back garden, so very quiet. No noise. "

" If Riu is going to pick you up make sure they send you a travel voucher. Also make sure they drop you off at the right terminal when leaving "

Me and a friend are flying to Mexico on 30th April, we were wondering if it’d be better to book excursions with our holiday reps (Tui) or book with hotel reps or people selling trips outside the hotel.

I think I read somewhere about you could book excursions with Riu itself and they’re cheaper for the same tour. It’s my first time in Riu a hotel so I’ve never been aware of this option.

Any help would be appreciated.

We have been there many times and returning 4/28. The reps are higher. Talk to one of the bell hop's or the guy at the check in. They can get you a better deal. Bring your big yeti for drinks at the pool bar. See you at the pool bar!
