Hard rock Florida collective Shinedown are hitting the road! Since forming in 2002, this Jacksonville four-piece have built up a collection of enviable melodic hard rock, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Threat to Survival was another solid entry, featuring the storming lead single 'Cut to Cord' and the epic closer 'Misfits'.

With music that has been described as hard rock, alternative metal and post-grunge, the band in 2013 released a set of cover songs including Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and British artist Adele's "Someone Like You". Catch Shinedown when they perform near you soon!

Shinedown, The Pretty Reckless & Diamante Announce Spring U.S. Tour

Shinedown will head out in April on their ‘ The Revolution’s Live Tour ‘ with The Pretty Reckless and Diamante opening. Shinedown ‘s frontman Brent Smith commented of the bill:

“Without question, we are beyond excited for this tour! Not only to bring the fans/family the biggest stage show we have ever created, but also to be working with two extraordinary bands fronted by the most incredible women in rock n roll today. The Revolution’s Live, so LET’S GO!!!”

Artist pre-sales for this trek will launch tomorrow, December 14th at 10:00am local. Venue and radio station sales will follow at the same time a day later. Public onsales will commence this Friday, December 17th at 10:00am local as well.

Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown has announced their second headlining 2022 North American outing, The Revolution’s Live Tour, with special guests The Pretty Reckless and DIAMANTE . The Revolution’s Live Tour will follow the band’s winter tour, Shinedown Live In Concert, where Shinedown will bring their exciting live performance, backed by their eye-popping production, back to arenas for the first time since 2020. SHINEDOWN has completed recording and mixing its seventh studio album for an early 2022 release. The follow-up to 2018’s “Attention Attention” was recorded in part at a new studio in Charleston, South Carolina spearheaded by the group’s bassist and producer Eric Bass .  SHINEDOWN ‘s film “Attention Attention” , a cinematic experience of the band’s 2018 studio album of the same name, premiered worldwide in September.

SHINEDOWN Announces Spring 2022 Tour With THE PRETTY RECKLESS And DIAMANTE

SHINEDOWN has announced its second headlining 2022 North American outing, "The Revolution's Live Tour" , with special guests THE PRETTY RECKLESS and DIAMANTE . Kicking off April 1 in Spokane, the 24-date trek, produced by Frank Productions , will see the acclaimed quartet, hailed for its high-octane live shows, travel throughout the U.S. with stops in Boise, Green Bay, Des Moines, Baltimore, Columbus, Wichita, Birmingham, Greensboro, and Nashville, among others, before wrapping in Knoxville on May 7. Later in May, SHINEDOWN will head to Daytona Beach for Welcome To Rockville 2022 where they'll perform Saturday, May 21 alongside GUNS N’ ROSES and RISE AGAINST .

Fan club pre-sale begins December 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Venue and radio pre-sale begin December 15 at 10 a.m. local time. General on-sale begins December 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

"The Revolution's Live Tour" will follow the band's winter tour, "Shinedown Live In Concert" , where SHINEDOWN will bring its exciting live performance, backed by their eye-popping production, back to arenas for the first time since 2020. The upcoming 22-date outing will travel throughout the West Coast, Canada, and more, stopping in such cities as Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. SHINEDOWN has completed recording and mixing its seventh studio album for an early 2022 release. The follow-up to 2018's "Attention Attention" was recorded in part at a new studio in Charleston, South Carolina spearheaded by the group's bassist and producer Eric Bass .

This past August, singer Brent Smith said that the first single from SHINEDOWN 's seventh studio album would arrive in January 2022.

SHINEDOWN 's film "Attention Attention" , a cinematic experience of the band's 2018 studio album of the same name, premiered worldwide in September.

Multi-platinum, chart-topping band Shinedown has announced their upcoming The Revolutions Live Tour (co-produced by FPC Live and Live Nation) with support from fellow chart-toppers Three Days Grace  and  From Ashes to New.

Shinedown and The Pretty Reckless Announce 2022 North American Tour

The guys of Shinedown are taking Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless on the road for a spring 2022 trek

Shinedown will spend much of 2022 on the road, as Brent Smith and company already have not one, not two, but three tours up ahead for next year. The band previous announced dates in North America in the beginning of the year, as well as a European summer tour, the latter with Iron Maiden on select dates. Now, the band has announced a spring headlining trek that will offer support from The Pretty Reckless and Diamante.

The tour, dubbed “The Revolution’s Live” trek, will kick off April 1 in Spokane and reach 24 cities before closing out May 7 in Knoxville. Shinedown will have one more date that month, performing as a headliner at the Welcome to Rockville festival on May 21 in Daytona Beach, Florida. This will mark the group’s second major tour of the U.S. and Canada in 2022, their first being with Ayron Jones and Pop Evil in January and February. Tickets for the newly-announced dates are currently on pre-sale for fan club members, as well as via some radio pre-sales. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time starting Friday (Dec. 17). For ticketing information, head to Shinedown’s website .

Shinedown have been working on their follow-up to 2018’s “ATTENTION ATTENTION,” which was recently certified gold by the RIAA. Shinedown’s Brent Smith and Zach Myers have also been performing intimate shows across the country as Smith & Myers, their acoustic side project, in which they perform cover tunes.

Over the last two decades, multi-platinum band Shinedown – Brent Smith [vocals], Zach Myers [guitar], Eric Bass [bass, production], and Barry Kerch [drums] – have cemented their status as one of the most vital and forward-thinking powerhouses in modern rock. Their most ambitious and masterfully realized work to date, their seventh studio album Planet Zero (Atlantic Records) firmly places the group in the pantheon of artists capable of moving the culture forward on the strength of their singular vision, uncompromising honesty, and fierce commitment to constant evolution. 

A high-concept, ultravivid saga that is part social commentary and part in-depth exploration of the human psyche, Planet Zero, produced by Bass, offers an incisive look at a strange and terrifying moment in human history and its implications for the future. Featuring Shinedown’s combustible yet artfully crafted sound and urgent lyrics, lead single “Planet Zero” rings the alarm on Shinedown’s dystopian warning regarding the issues at hand: cancel culture run rampant, the corrosive effects of social media, and the increasingly toxic division among those of differing ideologies. While a raw ferocity fuels much of Planet Zero, there is also vulnerability, hope, and reminders that we all need one another. After all, it is the band’s impassioned striving for unity that deeply informed the making of Planet Zero. Not only a driving force for their songwriting, their humanitarian outlook led them to be one of the first artists to fundraise for non-profit humanitarian organization Direct Relief in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, raising more than $400,000.  

Shinedown will soon embark on a world tour in support of Planet Zero beginning January 26th alongside the release of single “Planet Zero” and the album announcement, with their biggest stage show yet propelled by the undeniable power of front man Brent Smith’s voice.

Who: Shinedown, The Pretty Reckless, Diamante Where: Legacy Arena at the BJCC, Birmingham, AL When: April 30, 2022

Birmingham, Alabama was treated to a rock showcase on 4/30 when Shinedown brought The Revolution’s Live Tour to the BJCC Legacy Arena . The multi-platinum band were joined by a loaded lineup including The Pretty Reckless and Diamante . This was one of the last stops on the tour which concluded on 05/07 in Knoxville, TN.

Diamante opened the night with a 7-song set.  While all three acts on the bill were rock bands, each presented their music in a different manner. Diamante brought glamour to the evening walking out on stage dressed in a sequined jumpsuit. Her set started off with “ Ghost Myself ” from her American Dream album. She radiated energy with a joy on her face looking like someone who had finally made it and was meant to be performing before 15,000+ people.

It’s easy to get enamored with Diamante’s looks but make no mistake, this lady can sing. She exhibited a powerful voice that rates right up there with the best female rock singers. Her last song was “ War Cry ” from the Coming in Hot album. Diamante’s time on stage was way too short and left me wanting for more, but with the ensuing acts the short set was understandable. 

Whereas Diamante was the glamourous beauty, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless played the part of the rebellious rocker dressed in black leather jacket, platform boots, and short silky dress.  After waiting for several years, I was finally able to photograph a band that was on my top-5 list.  The first three songs were a blur. Once Momsen stepped on stage my heart began to race. Being only a foot away from Momsen at times totally through off my concentration. It was amazing I was able to get any photos at all.

Momsen’s love of Chris Cornell is well known so it was no surprise that the band started out with a cover of Soundgarden ’s “ Loud Love ”.  The moment she walked on stage all eyes immediately went straight to her. She has such an incredible stage presence. Her vocals are haunting, being both powerful and mesmerizing. 

As I watched the rest of the band’s performance I was amazed by their sound.  A lot of bands are never able to recapture the sound from their albums live.  However, The Pretty Reckless performance reminded me of the old “is it live or is it Memorex” commercial. Another photographer I were discussing how Momsen sounded just like her studio work.

The bands songs spanned all four of their albums Light Me Up , Who You Selling For , Going to Hell , and Death By Rock and Roll . Highlights included their #1 songs, “ Death By Rock and Roll ”, “ And So It Went ”, “ Only Love Can Save Me Now ”, and “ Take Me Down ”. As good as The Pretty Reckless were it was about to get better.

A little over two hours into the night Shinedown took the stage. The tension in the crowd had been building all night leading up to this moment. Two huge video panels were positioned at the rear of the stage. Video footage of the band started playing on the panels which triggered excitement in the crowd. Planet Zero symbols appeared on each panel as they began to separate at which point band members Brent Smith , Barry Kerch , Zach Myers , and Eric Bass emerged walking slowly, side-by-side toward the front of the stage to cheers from the crowd. After a moment of basking in their glory, they took their positions for their first song.

Shinedown opened with “ The Saints of Violence and Innuendo ” from their upcoming Planet Zero album. The band performed on a T-shaped stage which stretched out into the crowd. It allowed fans to surround all three sides of the stage. Photographers were limited to shooting from the top of the “T”. The reasoning became apparent when flames shot up from multiple areas of the stage midway into the song. Even so, the heat from the flames was intense. 

Mic stands were positioned along both sides and the top the “T”. This allowed Smith, Myers, and Bass to roam the stage with each facing a different side of the arena such that the audience was constantly engaged. It was not like a lot of shows where band members are stationary.  There was constant movement and roaming from the band which created a dynamic atmosphere for the fans.

The band played songs from several of their albums including Planet Zero , Attention Attention , The Sound of Madness , Amaryllis , and Threat to Survival . Smith was constantly firing up the crowd at one point encouraging them stand and jump during “Enemies”. It felt like an earthquake had hit the stands. The noise was so deafening that an alert appeared on my Apple watch warning me of a loud environment and possible hearing loss.  

Going into the night I was most excited to see The Pretty Reckless perform.  I had never made a conscious effort to listen to Shinedown’s music and couldn’t provide examples of their songs other than “Planet Zero ” which had just come out.  However, as the night went on and they performed songs like “ Second Chance ”, “ Unity ”, “ Monsters ”, and “ Simple Man ”, I suddenly began to recognize several of these songs never realizing that they had been recorded by Shinedown.

One of the highlights of the night was the band’s tribute to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins .  Brent Smith left the stage and gave Meyers and Bass their chance to shine.  The two pulled out acoustic guitars and sang “ Wheels ” by the Foo Fighters.  The phones all went up in the air with flashlights turned on.  It was a very moving and emotional moment. It also showed that the two are very capable singers in their own right. Smith returned to the stage after the song and the band performed “ Call Me ” with Meyers continuing on acoustic guitar and Bass moving to piano.

I have been to several concerts over the years which have included great artists such as Green Day , Paul McCartney , and U2 among many others.  However, I left the Legacy Arena with this being one of my favorite concerts. Diamante and The Pretty Reckless were great opening acts. Shinedown put on a spectacle which had the crowd in awe keeping most fans in the arena for the duration of show even after seven encore songs.

The Revolution’s Live Tour is now over. However, there will still be plenty of opportunities to see Shinedown in the future.  The band will be releasing their seventh studio album Planet Zero on July 31, 2022, from which they have already released the lead single “ Planet Zero ”, which is their 18 th  #1 at Active Rock Radio, and “ The Saints of Violence and Innuendo ”.  To support the album, the band will launch their Fall Planet Zero Tour on September 3 rd in Kansas City. They will also be performing at several music festivals in Europe over the summer and several dates in Canada.

Multi-platinum rock band Shinedown has announced their second headlining 2022 North American outing, The Revolution's Live Tour, with special guests The Pretty Reckless and DIAMANTE.

Kicking off April 1 in Spokane, the 24-date trek, produced by Frank Productions, will see the acclaimed quartet, hailed for their high-octane live shows, travel throughout the U.S. with stops in Boise, Green Bay, Des Moines, Baltimore, Columbus, Wichita, Birmingham, Greensboro, and Nashville, among others, before wrapping in Knoxville on May 7. Later in May, Shinedown will head to Daytona Beach for Welcome To Rockville 2022 where they'll headline Saturday, May 21 alongside Guns N' Roses and Rise Against.

The Revolution's Live Tour will follow the band's winter tour, Shinedown Live In Concert, where Shinedown will bring their exciting live performance, backed by their eye-popping production, back to arenas for the first time since 2020. The upcoming 22-date outing will travel throughout the West Coast, Canada, and more, stopping in such cities as Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. Pop Evil and Ayron Jones will support on select dates; tickets are on sale now. After taking over North America, Shinedown will move their live set across the pond next summer for a UK and European run featuring festival appearances at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, Download Festival in the UK, and HellFest in France along with select shows with Iron Maiden.

Kid Rock’s Comedy Jam will be held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The event is the third Comedy Jam hosted by Rock as part of the Nashville Comedy Festival.

Kid Rock hosts the show that features top comedians and surprise musical performers.

“You never know who might stop by the legendary stage,” Kid Rock announced on Instagram.
