BTS Tears Up At Emotional Finale Of

BTS Tears Up At Emotional Finale Of "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" Tour

BTS and their fans ARMY said a farewell to their “Love Yourself” era at the final concert of their world tour.

On October 29, BTS staged the third and last day of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself [The Final]” concerts in Seoul at the Olympic Stadium. This was the finale to the group’s “Love Yourself” world tour that began in August 2018 and its extended stadium tour titled “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself,” which saw them performing around the globe in legendary venues such as the Rose Bowl and Wembley Stadium. The three-day finale included the group performing for over 130,000 fans.

As BTS started the show on October 29, RM welcomed everyone to the final concert on their tour and promised they’d do their best. V said, “We’re going to use all the energy we have left.”

Suga commented, “Do you remember when we first met last year at the Olympic Stadium? I feel like it was just yesterday when I said it was like a dream, but it’s already been a year now.”  RM added, “It’s thanks to all of you that we were able to perform concerts for a year in many different places.”

BTS performed many of their hits and fan-favorite songs throughout the show, including their solo tracks.

During the concert, J-Hope pointed out that it was the 62nd show on the tour. “It’s really amazing,” he said. He then asked the other members to name the solo performance that left the biggest impression on them.

Jungkook picked Jimin ‘s “Serendipity” while Jin said, “I haven’t forgotten the first time that I saw Suga perform ‘Seesaw’ last year.” Jimin said, “I think all of the members’ songs are gems. We’re going to keep having fun until the end, right?”

Jungkook joked that it was then time for them to see J-Hope perform his song “Chicken Noodle Soup,” and while J-Hope was surprised he pulled off the choreo perfectly on the spot.

When the group later wrapped up the show, the members appeared emotional and some cried. V said to fans, “You really worked hard while supporting our tour. You could say that the tour was short or that it was long. We’ve seen a lot of ARMY while traveling around the world, and I found that there’s really nothing more beautiful than ARMY. I love you.”

J-Hope said, “We’re now artists who fill up the Olympic Stadium for three days. I feel like we’ve received a lot of love. This is our last stop on the tour. I remember always feeling sad and reluctant to end it when we come to the final moment, but I think this time it will be less so. I’ve felt a lot and learned a lot. ”

Jimin commented, “I hope you won’t feel sad today. Instead of being sad, I’m personally so curious and excited to see what we’ll do and how we’ll have fun at our next concert. Because of that, we’ll prepare it quickly.” Jungkook shared that he’s also excited to see what they’ll do next and said, “In return for the energy that you’ve all given us, we’re going to repay you with even more energy for our upgraded next album and concert.”

Suga said, “If there’s a beginning then there’s an end, and if there’s an end then there’s another beginning. I think this concert is another new beginning.”

Jin shared that he’d felt sad when singing his solo song “Epiphany” because he was thinking about how it was the last time he’d do so. “That’s how I was feeling when I was singing, but then at the end when I was up there looking at everyone, I smiled a bit,” he explained. “I thought, ‘Something’s ended’ and ‘I won’t be doing this song anymore,’ and I had mixed emotions because it was both good and sad. And it really hit me suddenly during ‘Mic Drop’ earlier when we did our final goodbyes and performed.”

RM said, “I want to give a round of applause to BTS and ARMY who have endured for the past two and a half years in order to love ourselves.” He stated that although the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” tour had ended, the path and journey to find ways to love themselves hasn’t ended. He cried as he said, “I wish there was something even better than the word ‘love,’ but I really love you. I’ll keep loving you even more in the future.”

On April 26, 2018, Big Hit Entertainment released a trailer on their official YouTube channel announcing an upcoming world tour. The video revealed an initial schedule of 22 concerts across 11 cities, spanning Seoul to California, Ontario to London, Amsterdam to Paris, with more dates and venues said to be awaiting confirmation. The information was also posted on Big Hit's official website and across all their official social media platforms as well. After news of the world tour broke, multiple hashtags trended worldwide on social media, including the tour's namesake tag – #LOVE_YOURSELF, highlighting the level of anticipation surrounding the event.

Before the international leg of the tour started, Big Hit announced BTS wasn't going to give interviews during the tour, during their American leg they made a couple of exceptions adding two schedules. The first one a conversation with the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles where the group reflected in the message they want to give through music on September 10 and a performance in the popular TV show America's Got Talent thanks to an invitation by the famous model and host Tyra Banks recorded the same day and aired September 12 on NBC.

According to ticket resale site StubHub BTS was one of 2018's best selling concerts in the world, second to only Ed Sheeran. On October 7 it was estimated that BTS sold a total of 790,000 tickets, selling out all current concerts venues and with more dates expected to be added to the tour.

On August 4, Big Hit Entertainment confirmed all 90,000 tickets for the Seoul shows (August 25 and 26) were sold out after the second public sale on August 3. On August 17, it was announced that only from the first two concerts at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in Seoul, BTS was projected to make USD 8.4 Million (KRW 95 Billion) in ticket revenue alone. Dates for nine dome concerts in Japan were announced on July 30 across the group's social media platforms. In Japan, it came in at nineteenth overall for 2018 best selling concerts. In Singapore, tickets sold out in less than four hours.

Tickets went on sale May 5, 2018 for the Newark, Fort Worth, and Los Angeles shows and sold out in seconds. Due to the high demand, an additional date was added to the Los Angeles lineup, with tickets going on sale May 9, 2018. Tickets for the Oakland, Chicago, and Hamilton shows went on sale May 7, 2018. Tickets for the Hamilton shows sold out in just over an hour, with organizers for the Ontario stop, Core Entertainment, revealing they would have sold out faster if not for the strain put on Ticketmaster's online system due to the heavy influx of site traffic, the likes of which had not been seen for any ticketing held before All fourteen stops completely sold out. A fifteenth and final stop of the North American leg, Citi Field in New York, was later announced on August 8, making BTS the first Korean artist to hold a concert at a stadium in the United States. Tickets for the show sold out in under ten minutes. On September 9, Variety announced that BTS, and singer Elton John, were the top touring acts of Fall 2018 in the United States. According to StubHub, BTS entered the "highest-selling act" and "best-selling shows" lists with the "highest-selling average sales per show position". Yahoo Finance revealed that BTS were also the top-selling act and top-selling show artist in Canada for Fall 2018.

The London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Paris stops mark the group's first and biggest European headline shows to date. Tickets went on sale June 1, with the London dates selling out in two minutes, and the Berlin shows selling out in nine minutes.

Critical [ ]

The Love Yourself received positive reviews from critics. For the first concerts in America, local media reported in Los Angeles since the moment fans started to camp outside the Staples Center days ahead the concert. Philip Cosores from Uproxx described BTS' Staples Center 4 night concerts as "Enormous, multi-sensory experience" bringing an "Inclusive" and "Multicultural experience" where music is above any language barrier. Tiffany Taylor from The Hollywood Reporter noted for Billboard News the "Amazing choreography" praising the solo performances and energy of the fans as highlight of the night. Jim Harrington from The Mercury News referred to the Oracle Arena concert on Oakland as "the hottest concert of the year in the Bay Area" noting the solo performances as "witnessing seven individual stars, each of whom could enjoy a successful solo career." For the Chicago show critic Kim Youngdae stated their strengths were the dazzling group displays, the artistry in the solo numbers, and how immersive it was. Crystal Bell from MTV said about the tour, "BTS have created an experience so captivating, so inclusive, and so visually stunning that it’s cemented the boy band as one of the most vital acts in pop music today." The Quietus wrote about the European tour as " The show is about a search for self-identity. After two-and-a-half hours of costume changes, pulsing beats, soaring high notes and the impossible iconic beauty of their videos, BTS walk to the front of the stage in low-key jeans and T-shirts. As they sing the last song, ‘Anpanman’, which is about a new kind of superhero, we realise that their awkwardness and sensitivity is also the source of their strength."

The Denisonian rated the concert ten out of ten, stating the music, visuals, dancing, and fans is what made it a great experience. Vivid Seats named BTS the 2018 artist of the year, citing the group's history-making concert at Citi Field.

Accolades [ ]

The Love Yourself tour was nominated for three awards during ticket sale website Ticketmaster's year-end awards, winning two of them. The Ticket of the Year Award was awarded to BTS following a user poll by Ticketmaster, using a database of roughly 200 million people to determine the most popular touring act of 2018. In addition, BTS was awarded the French ticket of the year award, which pulled from data via French Ticketmaster sales. The tour was also nominated for the "Most Anticipated Event of the Year, 2019" award, but did not receive it. Love Yourself also won grand prize award at the 6th Edaily Culture Awards for Best Concert. The Seoul performances were popular among judges because, according to Kim Eun-koo of Edaily, they "created a new history [for] K-pop". The skill of the performers and popularity of the event were also cited as influences on the decision.

BTS features two set lists for their concerts. It includes the same songs except for the title medley (#12 to #16)

Billboard 200 chart-toppers BTS continue to dominate, this time selling out four stadiums for their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour across the United States and Europe, including London’s Wembley and LA’s Rose Bowl.

Tickets for Wembley Stadium kicked off the day, going on sale at 8:30 a.m. local time, and U.K. outlet Metro  reported that it sold out in 90 minutes. At 1:40 p.m. local, the stadium’s official Twitter account tweeted that BTS’ June 1 date at the venue was sold out and alerted fans to stay tuned to an announcement coming Saturday.

Tickets began going on sale for the Stateside shows at 9 a.m. in their local timezones, and similarly shortly sold out. New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium and Live Nation Chicago — Chicago’s Soldier Field would tweet later in the day — each shared the news two and a half hours after tickets went on sale and also hinted to further information coming Saturday. By 12:30 p.m. PT, just a few hours after the tickets went on sale for BTS’ LA-area show at Pasadena, Calif.’s Rose Bowl Stadium on May 4, BTS’ website , which had been updating throughout the day, had declared all five stops sold out. Shortly after, the Rose Bowl tweeted a similar post, announcing the show was sold out and hinting to more news to come on Saturday.

Billboard  has reached out to Ticketmaster and BTS’ company, Big Hit Enterainment, for further details regarding precise sell-out times for the U.S shows.

There were some difficulties in the Stateside ticket sales, including fans unable to access the queue and others getting blocked under suspicion of being bots. Ticketmaster told  Billboard : “The BTS Army has showed up in force for today’s onsale. We have already seen incredibly high demand with hundreds of thousands of fans queuing to purchase tickets for two of the band’s three shows. This speaks to BTS’ far-reaching appeal and the dedication of their amazing fans around the world. We apologize for any inconvenience fans may have encountered in the shopping experience. There are not enough tickets to satisfy the massive demand for this artist’s live shows.”

Many fans posted on social media that they resorted to calling venues and Ticketmaster in order to purchase tickets after facing difficulties.

Tickets to @BTS_twt ‘s ‘SPEAK YOURSELF’ stadium tour dates announced in USA, UK & France have now all sold out! Stay tuned with Livenation/Ticketmaster for announcement of additional dates. ( https://t.co/TxeRLzvziY ) pic.twitter.com/GvXHwHKTjx — worldwideBTS — (@btsanalytics) March 1, 2019

  • Dates & Prices

This short Moscow tour will give you a true taste of the history, culture and incomparable urban vibe that define one of the world’s largest metropolises. In just three days, this Moscow itinerary takes in all the most iconic sights of this attraction-packed destination. After two and half days getting acquainted with the city, we’ve set time aside for you to explore Moscow your way and discover your own favourite hang-outs in a city overflowing with hidden treasures

3-Day Moscow Tour Highlights:

  • Panoramic Tour of Moscow: See Moscow beyond the postcard images on a private excursion by car through the city streets including a drive along the banks of the Moskva River. Visit the famous Bolshoi Theatre, pass by Gorky Park and the Novodevichy Convent, and admire the city from on high at the Sparrow Hill observation platform.
  • Moscow Historical City Centre Guided Walking Tour : Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of one of the world’s biggest metropolises and discover local haunts on foot, including the Red Square, the Kremlin and the multi-coloured domes of St Basil’s Cathedral.
  • Armory Chamber tour: Explore the endless treasures of this unique museum, displaying the wealth accumulated by Russian rulers from the 12th century until the October Revolution of 1917. Walking through the exhibition halls is a journey through the centuries.
  • Moscow Metro Tour : Go deep underground on a subway tour of the famous Moscow metro. The world’s deepest metro system is renowned for its palatial, art-adorned stations, complete with marble columns and chandeliers.

On your first day, you’ll be treated to a panoramic, drive-by tour of Moscow to get a feel for the immense scale of one of the world’s most rapidly developing urban centres. The city’s history unfolds in real-time as you pass lavish imperial mansions, solemn Soviet structures and luxurious modern shopping centres.

Day two kicks off exploring Moscow’s historic centre on foot, followed by a tour of the Kremlin, the seat of Russian power and political intrigue for centuries. Stand in the Red Square, surrounded by the stunning architecture as you hear stories of the people and events behind many of Moscow’s most iconic landmarks.

On your final day, we’ll head beneath the city for a tour of the Moscow Metro and its famously ornate underground stations. Art lovers should hit up one of Moscow’s many world-class galleries such as the Tretyakov State Gallery, the Pushkin Museum or Garage, Moscow’s cutting-edge contemporary art museum. History fans can follow a Soviet trail through the city including Stalin’s Bunker, while those seeking a more indulgent experience can browse trendy neighbourhoods like Kitay Gorod or shop for everything from fashion to kitsch souvenirs at the enchanting Izmaylovo Flea Market. Foodies can head to one of the countless speciality stores sampling vodka, caviar and chocolate.

If you only have a few days to spend in Moscow, this tour will ensure you make the most of your time in the city. Let the experts navigate you through this complex and occasionally overwhelming capital, giving you plenty of time to soak up the city’s most unmissable attractions.

Russia Moscow Tour

Day 1 Panoramic city tour

Welcome to the glorious capital of Russia, Moscow! You’ll be met by your driver at the airport and taken to your centrally located hotel.

After check-in and rest, meet your private guide at the hotel lobby for a comprehensive tour of Moscow by car. Visit the starkly contrasting Theatre Square to see the stunning Bolshoi Theatre, pass Tverskaya Street, the city’s main boulevard and home to the landmark Yeleseyevskiy Grocery Store.

You’ll enjoy a panoramic drive along the Moskva River, where a huge, controversial state of Peter the Great was erected. Pass by the legendary Gorky Park and the White House before a stop at the architecturally stunning Novodevichy Convent, and the observation platform at Sparrow Hills, for a bird’s eye view over this staggering megalopolis.

Day 2 Red Square and Kremlin

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historical city centre. Stroll through the Red Square, the hub of cultural life in Moscow, with its elaborate ‘stone flower’ fountain and fantasy-like St Basil’s Cathedral – a postcard-perfect symbol of the nation. Admire the grandiose façade of GUM, the city’s most luxurious shopping centre, and visit Alexander’s Garden, with its eternal flame and the chance to watch a changing of the guards.

Break for lunch before continuing on a tour of the Kremlin and Armoury Chamber, famous of its collection of tsarist fashion, with regalia such as jewel-encrusted crowns, orbs and sceptres as well as arms and armour, exotic gifts from the leaders of faraway lands, and an illustrious case of Imperial Faberge eggs.

As an option* spend an evening on a sumptuous dinner cruise, taking in the stunning sights and city lights of this mesmerising metropolis by night.

Day 3 Metro and Arbat Street

Start a day with a tour of Metro, stopping on the way to marvel at some of the most elaborately decorated stations of the world-famous Moscow subway system. Take a stroll along Old Arbat street - the most famous street in Moscow. Through the centuries Arbat used to be one of the most bohemian places in Moscow. Today Arbat is a promenade full of small cozy cafes and street life.

The afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the rest of the day on your own or choose among optional excursions to explore more of Moscow. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery or Pushkin State Museum to admire Russian art. Join locals for a stroll at the Gorky or VDNH park.

Visit beautiful Kolomeskoye Estate or Izmailovo Kremlin, or spend a day exploring the beautiful city of the Golden Ring (Russian province) - Sergiev Posad. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your departure to your next destination.
