Join us for a 30-minute guided tour that reveals the secrets behind Wayne’s wine, whisky and beer! This experience celebrates family, history and Wayne Gretzky’s dream of opening a world-class estate. You'll discover our love of cocktails, get a behind-the-scenes look at our brewery and distillery equipment and head into the vineyard and underground barrel cellar. You’ll learn the process to crafting Wayne’s favourite wines, whiskies and beer, and enjoy tastings along the way.

The Whisky Bartender

$59 PER PERSON; $29.50

Offered Saturdays & Sundays at 12pm & 3:30pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Get in on the cocktail culture with a 45-minute interactive experience hosted by our best bartenders. Featuring insider tips on how to create the ultimate whisky cocktail, guests will sharpen their bartending skills while learning the basics of preparing garnishes, simple syrups, shaking and muddling. After they are guided through the step-by-step process of creating their own whisky cocktail, guests enjoy their “All Star Creations”. In light of the pandemic, all guests including children and designated drivers are required to make a reservation due to room capacity limits. Restricted to 10 guests.

Seated Tasting

Available daily between 11am and 6:30pm. Reservations are highly recommended.

Join us for a 25 minute experience in one of our beautiful spaces for a seated tasting. You will be able to choose 3 samples from our portfolio. Wine, whisky or beer? We have you covered. Our team of Consultants can answer your questions about wine tasting, food pairing and cellaring, and help you with your buying selections. Complimentary for Wine Club members and up to five guests. Reservations are required. All guests in attendance including children are required to make a reservation due to room capacity restrictions. Nonalcoholic beverages will be substituted.

Private Group Tasting

$20 per person for groups up to 10 people

Wayne Gretzky calls J.J. McCarthy during Vikings Zoom session

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Vikings ended the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night with Michigan star J.J. McCarthy as their potential quarterback of the future.

The Vikings moved up one spot to the No. 10 pick to get him. Apparently McCarthy has a connection to Wayne Gretzky. Yes, the former NHL legend and now hall of famer.

Late Thursday night, McCarthy was on a virtual conference call with Vikings’ media when Gretzky hit up McCarthy on his phone. He quickly ignored the call before getting back to answering questions.

Gretzky is close with McCarthy’s marketing manager away from football. Gretzky and McCarthy even talked on FaceTime after Michigan won the College Football Playoff national championship. No big deal, just one of the greatest hockey players of all time.

"Oh that’s Wayne Gretzky, I’m sorry about that. Hockey guy 1-on-1 and going to the hockey state," McCarthy said. "Growing up he was one of my GOATs on Mount Rushmore. Give so much credit to him because he inspired me so much."

McCarthy comes to the Vikings after throwing for more than 2,900 yards, 22 touchdowns and just four interceptions to lead Michigan to a national championship. He met with the Vikings multiple times and made it known he wanted to play for Kevin O’Connell.

He wasn’t alone.

"Every QB in the class that I interacted with wanted to go to Minnesota," McCarthy said.

McCarthy was the fifth of six quarterbacks taken Thursday night, behind Caleb Williams, Jayden McDaniels, Drake Maye and Michael Penix Jr. Box Nix was taken by the Broncos two picks later. The Vikings moved up to No. 10 to get him.

McCarthy will be introduced at TCO Performance Center on Friday.

"I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity. So much appreciation and thanks to coach O’Connell, Kwesi, the Wilf family and everything that they did to make this a reality for me," McCarthy said. "I can’t wait to get to work with the guys and focus on climbing this new mountain and getting to the top."

Griffin Wood on where he’s played most of his professional golf to this point… “I've got a lot of mini tours in the U.S., played on the Dakotas Tour, I played everywhere, APT a little bit, the Asher Tour out in Phoenix and I played (PGA TOUR) Canada two years ago. I had conditional, so I played there half a season. Last year I had conditional, but I didn't get into anything. Yeah, so mostly in the U.S. I've been playing full time for about five years in total even though I'm a little older. I had to take some time off. A little later progression.”

Wood on what was behind his extended break from professional golf… “ I had a back injury where I couldn't play for a couple years. When I came back, I was not shooting 60s on courses. I had to work to support myself and try and get my game back and try and play as much as I could. I played one year out of college. So I graduated in 2012, played for a year. Played pretty well, like was ‑‑ so I kind of proved to myself I could do it in small mini tours. Then I got hurt right before Q‑School right out of college, it would have been 2013. Then I was off for a couple years and was kind of pedaling around for a while. I've been back for the last four, I'd say, playing pretty full time and trying to get back.”

Wood on the playoff at Monday’s open qualifier… “I was playing solid golf and I bogeyed my last hole in regulation. It was a pretty easy hole, and I was pretty devastated because I thought that would be the difference. But I rebounded really well, because after I made that bogey, you know, you can go south quick. Me and another guy, Matt Atkins, birdied the first hole in a 5‑for‑2 (playoff). I had my head on straight, that was the big thing, and I was able to play right after I finished. I went right to the playoff hole, which helped. We finished in the dark, we didn't have any more time to play another hole and it worked out perfectly.”

Wayne Gretzky to deliver eulogy at Brian Mulroney's state funeral in Montreal

Wayne Gretzky will be among the high-profile figures to eulogize former prime minister Brian Mulroney at his state funeral on March 23, government officials announced Friday.

Mulroney's daughter Caroline will also speak, along with Canadian media baron Pierre Karl Péladeau, former Quebec premier Jean Charest and former U.S. secretary of state James Baker, who will address the funeral by video link.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will provide "an address" to those gathered at the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montréal at 11 a.m. on Saturday, officials said. Only those invited will be permitted in the Basilica.

The funeral ceremony will feature prayers, readings, hymns and a communion to be delivered by Archbishop of Montréal Christian Lépine and Miguel Castellanos, rector of Notre-Dame Basilica.

During a briefing Friday, Canadian Heritage officials also said that musical interludes during the funeral will be provided by members of the Montréal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) and the OSM Chorus.

A number of other musicians will also perform, including The Tenors vocal group, Marc Hervieux, Marie-Josée Lord and Elizabeth Theodora Lapham, Mulroney's granddaughter.

Before the ceremony, the funeral procession will make its way from Saint Patrick's Basilica to the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montréal accompanied by RCMP and Canadian Armed Forces escorts, a guard of honour and the Royal Canadian Air Force Band.

Guests will include family, friends, current and former government representatives and dignitaries, and representatives of organizations with which Mulroney had close connections.

A 19-gun salute will be conducted at the end of the ceremony from the Clock Tower Pier in the Old Port of Montréal.

Lying in state and repose

In the days leading up to the funeral, Mulroney will lie in state at the Sir John A. Macdonald Building on Wellington Street in Ottawa on March 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 20. Gov. Gen. Mary May Simon and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be invited in to pay their respects to the Mulroney family privately.

All members of the public wishing to attend the lying in state will have to pass through security screening. Once inside the building, books of condolence will be available to sign.

After the Ottawa event, Mulroney will lie in repose at Saint Patrick's Basilica on René-Lévesque Blvd. in Montréal from March 21 to 22.

On the morning of March 21, dignitaries and family guests will privately express their sympathies to the Mulroney family at the Basilica.

The public lying-in-repose will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on March 21, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 22.

Members of the public will be able to sign a book of condolences but should expect to pass through security screening before being permitted into the Basilica.

Canadian Heritage officials said that in lieu of flowers, those who wish to express sympathy should consider making a donation to the  Brian Mulroney Institute of Government  at St. Francis Xavier University or to the  Carrefour international Brian-Mulroney  at Université Laval.

2008 — NBA owners give approval of a potential Seattle SuperSonics’ relocation to Oklahoma City in a 28–2 vote by the Board of Governors.
