I have travelled throuh that company…

I have travelled throuh that company already twice in Maldives and everything was perfect,the best rates they have offered. As I understand they work directly with local companies so that they can offer much better prices than other companies. This year I plan for the 3rd time.

Beware! I tried to book through ckb travel or ”Maldivesoffers”. Got a good deal on Kudafushi, but got a bit worried and called the hotel. The booked room category didn’t even exist! I tried to get the deposit that I had paid back (€1200 and yes it was possible to cancel with the rate I had booked), but still nothing after 2 months trying. Also had to find alternative accomodation to suit plane tickets that could not be cancelled which was really expensive. So really bad experience for me.

We had a great time

We had a great time, We ve been in Maldives many times but this time we found a great offer from Maldivesoffer.com. At first, I was a bit doubtful, cause they offered almost 400 usd less thn any other agecy including the resort itself. But I decided to go with them and we had a great experince. Was so pleasant to deal with them

We had a last minute deal for the Maldives and all was very well arranged. From the moment we arrived at Male Airport their host was waiting for us. They gave a good rate and we had a hassle free last minute travel with them. Of course it was paradise not only their assistance and arranging but also our Holiday.

Has anyone used this agency based in turkey ? is it reliable ? we are considering using it for a stay in the maldives. it seems to have good prices, but need a feedback from a real person before trusting it !

In any case, CKB are reliable as of my experience with them during JUNE 2014.

The hotel they booked was a low level one, the room had no windows! We were going to a 5-star hotel, waiting for paradise, and we started like this... The next day we finally arrived to paradise. However we never got the refund.

Conclusion: Bad treatment, no coordination and fraud.

Of course, as written in email to you we upfront apologize for any hassle caused.

Than you changed the booking from December to September 26 to 02 October 2015. Also confirmed the next day. Revised vouchers send.

At that time you were only charged a 10% deposit. We even match a better quote you saw on HOTELOPIA.COM during July.

On the deadline given you were rest charged the amount was charged to you (Not different, more or spooky)

On you arrival date the resort informed us that they were not able to manage the sea plane the time of your arrival sins they had modified confirmed in email but not inserted (Correspondence on file).

Our host was on the airport and assisted you, and as the resort was not able to arrange the transfer that day due to sea plane mode they arranged the next morning first flight out.

Together with Ms Shaffa and our host we found you an accommodation for the night in Transit Beach hotel with dinner. And the next morning you had the first flight to the resort.

All the time we were in communication with the resort for your case as the resort also and even at that time you did not asked for any refund or complained as reception even asked you to fill in a review form, which you refused and you wrote nothing while you were in the resort .

Your rate was a match and the resort informed us that they would not refund anything (Em Em (MS)) as they gave a special deal, and you checked in next morning (Early arrival).

We were always there for you from the moment you arrived in the Maldives and served you best in the situation. We have not charged you anything for the Male hotel and dinner you had. Also you only wrote to us after you arrived home. And sins than we are for you also in communication with the resort. From all we have communication on file but cannot as everyone understands under privacy rules put here.

We NEVER claim to be 100% perfect and strive to do our dedication the best way in our hands. We have never made a charge different, informed different, and treated you in the most respectful way i believe.

Once again i apologize public for any reason if we had a hand in the hassle caused to you. And for any correspondence you have our email addresses.

Please give the forum more information regarding what happened with the transfer. All of the other stuff regarding changed dates etc is immaterial - it sounds like a booking was accepted with corresponding transfers but that the transfers were not provided on the arrival date. Was the lack of transfer due to bad weather or a late international arrival ?

Hmm..two sides to every story,. Reads to me as is the poster is bad mouthing the agency because they want the first nights money back,

That's fair, if they were promised it, has the hotel refunded it? Because if this was their error they should and that should be passed on to the guest. The free accommodation and dinner cost could be subtracted from the refund, but no one should profit out of the error.and the guest should not be out of pocket by paying for something he didn't receive.

The only things for sure,,,is someone messed up and it wasn't the guest.

Dear Froggy, I totally agree on this with you and it was not the guests error. The resort Made a special rate match for this guest and recalls on that. Sins the guest had an early arrival the next day no refund was in place (We have correspondence on file) . If the guest had to pay the regular rate + early arrival he would have paid much more. We have paid for the Male accommodation with evening dinner and did not charge guest extra for that.

To me it doesn't sound like CKB are to blame. So I think it's a bit unfair to blame them on a public forum.

Hmm, sorry that's a bit of a red herring, as he clearly only had an early transfer because he wasn't booked in a sea planet he day he arrived. In addition the fact he had a discounted price for accommodation ( most folks do) is not relevant, he paid what he paid for the first night.

It does read as if the error was due to an oversight by the resort, and the first night should be refunded. Whatever that is. Any costs for the other hotel can be subtracted from that.

I agree on the face of it that the resort seems to be to blame.

I also concur that if the guest arrived before 12 noon and insisted on being given their room that the previous night would therefore fall liable to the agent and thus a refund would not be due. I agree it sounds unfair that the guest did not have enjoyment of the island the night before - however if they insisted on an early check in the following day then that money is spent and they should not also be pursuing for a refund of that night. In my view anyway.

It may be that the guest can make a claim for 'lack of enjoyment' - however it would be difficult to prove and pursue. Maybe the guests insurer should be the next point of contact ?

When writing the name of the town on the map, the mapmaker made a mistake by writing Bridgeport instead of Bridge Fort, this naming the town.

I have travelled throuh that company…

I have travelled throuh that company already twice in Maldives and everything was perfect,the best rates they have offered. As I understand they work directly with local companies so that they can offer much better prices than other companies. This year I plan for the 3rd time.

Beware! I tried to book through ckb travel or ”Maldivesoffers”. Got a good deal on Kudafushi, but got a bit worried and called the hotel. The booked room category didn’t even exist! I tried to get the deposit that I had paid back (€1200 and yes it was possible to cancel with the rate I had booked), but still nothing after 2 months trying. Also had to find alternative accomodation to suit plane tickets that could not be cancelled which was really expensive. So really bad experience for me.

We had a great time, We ve been in Maldives many times but this time we found a great offer from Maldivesoffer.com. At first, I was a bit doubtful, cause they offered almost 400 usd less thn any other agecy including the resort itself. But I decided to go with them and we had a great experince. Was so pleasant to deal with them

We had a last minute deal for the Maldives and all was very well arranged. From the moment we arrived at Male Airport their host was waiting for us. They gave a good rate and we had a hassle free last minute travel with them. Of course it was paradise not only their assistance and arranging but also our Holiday.
