Please note : The boarding will start from 01:00 pm on 23 September. Guest will be charged a fee of INR 8,000 approx. (USD 100) per person as a deposit at the terminal gate in Mumbai before boarding. This money will be refunded later.

Cruise Control 1994 Ford Ranger 4.0

I am troubleshooting a non-functioning cruise control on a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0. It is the older vacuum based system. I keep finding a cruise control relay listed among the parts websites. The relay is not in the fuse box or junction panel under the hood. Does anyone know it's location (assuming it uses one). Thanks!

I looked in my EVTM for the '93 trucks and don't see a cruise control relay. There is an amplifier module that would be behind the glove box in the cab. Maybe that is what you need to find. Here is a pdf scan of several pertinent pages from the EVTM. I would expect '93 and '94 to be very similar. Hopefully this will get you in the ballpark.

^ This If you pull the glove box and look up, you'll see one module. That's your cruise control module. I don't see a relay in my Haynes manual, but I do see a fuse. Check #10 in the cab. You can self-diagnose these modules. Hold the speed control "OFF" switch while turning the ignition key on. Be sure the engine is off and don't start it for the test. The cruise control light on your dash will flash once to indicate that the SCM works and is in diagnostic mode. It'll flash up to 5 times more. 2 flashes indicates defective brake pedal or clutch sensor. 3 flashes indicates the brake deactivation switch, 4 flashes indicates the speed signal is out of range or sensor is defective, and 5 flashes indicates a defective speed control servo. Then you can let go of the switch. If the light does not come on at all, pull the module and check for power. If you have power, replace module. Just after this test the module will partially open the throttle plate.

The new models of the Cruise 4.0 have been improved to meet the demanding challenges of everyday commercial use; making them ready to take on the harshest environmental conditions, for example with dinghies and sailboats up to 4 tons.

This makes the Cruise even more rugged in the event that it runs aground and even better protected against corrosion when used extensively in salt water.

The Cruise 4.0 is comparable to an 8 HP petrol outboard and can be easily mounted on your boat with a couple of tools, regardless of whether the remote or tiller version.

A power supply from at least two lithium batteries (Power 24-3500) or with lead batteries (lead-gel or AGM) must be provided for operation.

7.4 magnitude quake hits Taiwan, strongest in 25 years

Rescuers are working to free dozens trapped after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the east coast of Taiwan — causing landslides and collapsed structures.

At least nine people have died , more than 900 others are injured and over 100 buildings have been damaged.

The quake is the strongest to hit Taiwan in 25 years .

Here's what else we know:

• The quake:  The earthquake  hit  at 7:58 a.m. local time, 18 kilometers (11 miles) south of the city of Hualien at a depth of 34.8 kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey.
• Aftershocks : The quake was followed by 29 aftershocks greater than a magnitude of 4.0 near the epicenter of the earthquake in east Taiwan so far, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Tremors have been felt across the island, including in Taipei. Tremors as high as magnitude 7 are  expected  in the following days.
• Hualien County:  The region where the quake struck, Hualien County, has a population of about 300,000, around 100,000 of whom live in the main city of Hualien. But many in the region live in remote coastal or mountain communities that  can be hard to reach , so it might take time to understand the extent of Wednesday's quake.
• Trapped miners: Taiwan's national fire agency said that 71 people are trapped in two mines in Hualien.
• Power cuts : More than 91,000 households were without electricity, according to Taiwan's Central Emergency Command Center.
• Medical facilities: Hospitals across Taiwan’s capital , Taipei City, are operating normally despite being damaged by Wednesday’s earthquake, according to the Municipal Government.
• US monitoring: The Biden administration is monitoring the earthquake in Taiwan overnight and is prepared to offer assistance, a National Security Council spokesperson said Wednesday. 

71 miners trapped in 2 mines in Taiwan after earthquake, national fire agency says

Taiwan's national fire agency said that 71 people are trapped in two mines in Hualien after a powerful earthquake struck the island. 

In the Heping mine, there are 64 people trapped, and seven more are trapped in the Zhonghe mine, the fire agency said in a news conference on Wednesday.

Taiwanese semiconductor facilities will resume production overnight following earthquake

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC), the chipmaking giant, said on Wednesday that its facilities which were impacted by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake are expected to resume production overnight. 

TSMC reported that their overall tool recovery is at more than 70% within 10 hours of the earthquake striking the island. Safety systems are also operating normally, TSMC added.

The company noted that a small number of tools were damaged but that there was no damage to its extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) tools. Work at construction sites will resume after further inspections are complete, TSMC said.

Earlier, a TSMC spokesperson told CNN they had evacuated some manufacturing plants. All personnel are now safe, TSMC said in an update.

Biden administration monitoring Taiwan earthquake, White House says

The Biden administration is monitoring the earthquake in Taiwan overnight and is prepared to offer assistance, a National Security Council spokesperson said Wednesday. 

"We are monitoring reports of the earthquake impacting Taiwan and continue to monitor its potential impact on Japan. The United States stands ready to provide any necessary assistance. All those affected are in our prayers," a statement from National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said.

7 major earthquakes have hit Taiwan over the last 50 years

The 7.4 magnitude earthquake that killed at least nine people and injured hundreds Wednesday, is the strongest to hit Taiwan in 25 years .

Over the last 50 years, the island has experienced a total of seven major earthquakes, the last being a 7.1 magnitude quake in 2006 in Pingtung County in southern Taiwan.

The island sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire , which makes it prone to earthquakes.

29 aftershocks above 4.0 magnitude have occurred near epicenter since earthquake, US Geological Survey says

There have been 29 aftershocks greater than a magnitude of 4.0 near the epicenter of the earthquake in east Taiwan so far, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Of these aftershocks:

• One was above 6.0
• 13 have been at or above 5.0
• 14 have been above 4.0.

Forecast during recovery efforts: Tonight's forecast in Hualien City, near the epicenter, calls for increasing cloud coverage. Thursday is looking at mostly cloudy skies with afternoon showers and rain Thursday night and Friday during the day.

Rainfall totals should be relatively light for Taiwan, with models calling for under 25 mm (less than 1 inch) by Friday evening local time.

A dashcam camera has caught the moment a large landslide came down a mountain in Taiwan, triggered by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake on Wednesday morning.

BoAt Withdraws Sponsorship For Canadian Singer's India Tour Over Controversial Remarks

Electronics brand boAt on Tuesday said that it has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Canada-based Punjabi singer Shubneet Singh's upcoming India concert. The decision has been taken in light of the singer's alleged support for Khalistan. Earlier this year, he posted a distorted map of India without Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab on his Instagram account, leading to outrage. 

"At boAt, while our commitment to the incredible music community runs deep, we are first & foremost a true Indian brand. Therefore, when we became aware of the remarks made by artist Shubh earlier this year, we chose to withdraw our sponsorship from the tour," Boat said in a statement posted on X.

''We will continue to foster a vibrant music culture in India and create platforms where emerging artists can show their talent,'' the company added.

Notably, Mr Singh, known by his stage name Shubh is scheduled to perform in Mumbai from September 23-25 as part of the Cruise Control 4.0 event, organized aboard the Cordelia Cruise, as per PTI. He will also perform in cities such as New Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

A few days ago, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), removed posters promoting his concert, saying that there is no place for 'Khalistan' supporters in Bharat.

"There is no space for Khalistanis who are the enemy of integrity and unity of India. We won't let Canadian singer Shubh perform on the auspicious land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mumbai...If no proper action is taken then the organisers will have to face the revolt..." BJYM President Tajinder Singh Tiwana told news agency ANI.

Cricketer Virat Kohli had also recently unfollowed Shubh on social media app Instagram.

Notably, the controversy surrounding the singer's tour is unfolding against the backdrop of strained relations between India and Canada. Canada on Monday accused the Indian involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar last June and expelled New Delhi's intelligence chief in Ottawa in retaliation. The diplomatic move sent relations between the two countries, already sour, to a dramatic new low.

India, meanwhile, rejected Justin Trudeau's allegation, describing it as "absurd" and "motivated". In a reciprocal move, India expelled a senior Canadian diplomat and gave him 5 days to leave the country.
