Dreamcatcher announce US and Canada leg of 2023 ‘Apocalypse: From Us’ world tour

K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher have announced their upcoming 2023 ‘Apocalypse: From Us’ world tour, starting with the US and Canada leg.

Yesterday (July 26), organiser MyMusicTaste announced the US and Canada legs of Dreamcatcher’s upcoming 2023 ‘Apocalypse: From Us’ world tour. The girl group will first play shows in the Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto on September 3 and 5, respectively.

Thereafter, the Dreamcatcher will head stateside to perform concerts in Cincinnati (September 7), Nashville (September 10) and Orlando (September 13). Tickets for all five dates are set to go on sale tomorrow (July 28) at 10am EDT via Ticketmaster .

The dates for Dreamcatcher’s 2023 ‘Apocalypse: From Us’ world tour are:

Dreamcatcher’s upcoming 2023 ‘Apocalypse: From Us’ shows will be there second US tour of 2023. From February to March this year, the girl group had played nine shows across the country as part of their ‘Reason: Makes Dreamcatcher’ tour , featuring concerts in New York, Chicago and more.

Meanwhile, Dreamcatcher were also originally set to perform at the new, upcoming K-pop festival ‘We Stand’ in Houston and New Jersey this August. However, both dates of the festival have since been postponed , with an “altered line-up” set to be announced at a later date.

Dreamcatcher is heading abroad on a new world tour!

After touring the United States earlier this year , Dreamcatcher will be returning to North America this fall as part of their upcoming “Apocalypse : From us” world tour.

On July 26, Dreamcatcher officially announced the first set of dates and cities for their brand-new world tour, which will take them to North America this coming September.

After kicking things off in Montreal on September 3, Dreamcatcher will be performing in Toronto on September 5, Cincinnati on September 7, Nashville on September 10, and Orlando on September 13.

Dreamcatcher are going on tour.

Fresh from the release of their sophomore album Apocalypse: Save Us , the ‘ MAISON ’ act announced that they will be heading on a world tour that kicks off in the US this June. Dreamcatcher will be touring across 8 cities including New York, Chicago, and more.

Dreamcatcher Announces U.S. Dates for 2nd World Tour

On April 27, 2020, Dreamcatcher took to their social media accounts to announce the United States show dates for their second world tour, "[Apocalypse : Save us]."

For the United States leg of the tour, Dreamcatcher is expected to start in New York on June 28 and end in Los Angeles on July 17.

As mentioned, Dreamcatcher's first show date will be on June 28 in New York City, New York. The girls will perform at the Palladium Times Square. This will be Dreamcatcher's only concert in June.

Their second show date is July 1 and will be in Reading, Pennsylvania. The girl group will perform at the Santander Arena. Then, on July 3, Dreamcatcher will perform in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Old Forester's Paris town Hall.

On July 7, Dreamcatcher will perform in Chicago, Illinois, at the Radius Chicago. The following show date will be July 9, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They will perform at the Skyway Theater.

After, Dreamcatcher will perform in Denver, Colorado, on July 12 at the Filmore Auditorium. They will then go to San Francisco, California, and perform at The Midway on July 14.

Their final show date in the United States is July 17, in Los Angeles, California. Dreamcatcher will perform at The Wiltern.

Dreamcatcher Recent Activities

On April 12, 2022, Dreamcatcher released their second Korean-language full-length album, "Apocalypse: Save Us." and its title track, "MAISON." On April 19, Hanteo Chart announced that Dreamcatcher broke their first-week sales record, with "Apocalypse: Save Us" achieving 85,123 sold. Their previous record was 75,551 for "Summer Holiday."

"Apocalypse: Save Us" became the first K-pop girl group album to ever hit number one on the U.S. iTunes Tops Albums Chart in 2022. They are the fifth K-pop girl group in iTunes history to achieve this feat.

American tourist, 80, killed by charging elephant during safari tour at Kafue National Park in Zambia

A terrifying video captured the moment a bull elephant chased down and attacked a safari group, tipping over their vehicle.

​​​​​​​An 80-year-old American tourist was killed by a bull elephant when the safari tour group she was part of was charged at by the animal.

Another female guest was also injured in the incident that took place in the Kafue National Park, Zambia .

The group of six guests and a guide had been on a safari from Lufupa Camp, when around 9.30am local time on Saturday 30 March, their vehicle was "unexpectedly charged" by the animal.

A video captured the terrifying moment the elephant chased down the tour group.

The group's vehicle was driving through the national park as the elephant could be seen closing in on them.

The vehicle came to a stop and in the moments before the elephant knocked it over, the guide could be heard shouting "hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!"

Keith Vincent, Wilderness chief executive officer, said: "This is a tragic event and we extend our deepest condolences to the family of the guest who died. We are also, naturally, supporting those guests and the guide involved in this distressing incident."

Mr Vincent added the vehicle had stopped because "sadly in this instance the terrain and vegetation was such that the guide's route became blocked and he could not move the vehicle out of harm's way quickly enough".

World Central Kitchen victims remembered for going ‘extra mile’ to deliver aid

Soon after learning of his friend’s death, Josh Phelps saw the gruesome images of an Israeli attack that killed her and six others delivering aid in the Gaza Strip for World Central Kitchen.

“It was shocking,” said Phelps, a former WCK colleague of Australian aid worker Lalzawmi Frankcom.

He had just texted Frankcom — known as Zomi — the day before, when photos of the pair delivering food to a Native American reservation in Pine Ridge, S.D., popped up on his phone.

He sent them to her, and she responded with a heart. Hours later, she was dead.

Frankcom, 43, was among seven WCK workers who the nonprofit said were killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza on Monday. It has pushed WCK and at least one other group to pause aid operations as famine looms over besieged Gaza and pressure mounts on Israel over the rising Palestinian civilian death toll.

The attack on the organization founded by celebrity chef José Andrés drew international rebuke and calls for a thorough investigation by Israel.

Frankcom, an Australian citizen who served as relief lead according to WCK, was one of seven killed in the strike. The organization later gave the names of three members of WCK relief team who died: Saifeddin Issam Ayad Abutaha, a 25-year-old Palestinian; Damian Soból, a 35-year-old from Poland; and Jacob Flickinger, a 33-year-old dual U.S.-Canadian citizen.

Three British members of an accompanying security team were also killed: John Chapman, 57; James Henderson, 33; and James Kirby, 47.

WCK said the team was traveling in the Palestinian enclave in vehicles that included two armored cars branded with the World Central Kitchen logo. The aid group said it had coordinated its movement with the Israeli military.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces “unintentionally hit innocent people” and that Israel would fully investigate the “tragic incident.”

Phelps, who left WCK in 2021, remembered Frankcom as a person who could make lifelong friends in the direst situations. “You knew when Zomi was in the room,” he said. “She loved to laugh, loved to have a good time.”

The two met in 2018 after a volcano eruption in Guatemala, as Frankcom was traveling in Central America and taking classes online after leaving a job at an Australian bank. She began helping to provide food aid with WCK. Her work took her around the world, including Paradise, Calif.; Egypt; and Turkey. “She just bonded with every community she worked in,” Phelps said.

The last mission they did together was in Haiti in 2021. “She was riding around delivering food on the back of motorcycles,” Phelps recalled. “Her sense of responsibility to the people we serve and to go the extra mile was really special — and also to keep a great attitude.”

Israel-Gaza war

That attitude took her to Gaza. When Phelps messaged on WhatsApp to ask how she was feeling, she wrote back: “I’m getting used to the drones but the booms still make my tummy go funny.”

Her death shook people she had met around the world, Phelps said. “She had a zest for life, a heart for service,” he added. “People will remember her.”

Australian officials condemned the strike and said they had contacted Israeli authorities and called for an investigation. “We expect full accountability for these deaths,” the Australian Foreign Ministry said.

Yousef Sharef said Abutaha was a cousin working with the WCK team in Gaza whose death was a “big loss” to the family and a shock. “He was a friendly, lovely person, and he used to always do good things and to support people who need help,” Sharef said.

Britain summoned the Israeli ambassador, due to the incident, the Foreign Office said in a statement. Separately, Foreign Secretary David Cameron told Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz that the deaths of “aid workers in Gaza, including three British nationals, are completely unacceptable.” Cameron said Israel must explain how the attack happened and “make major changes to ensure safety of aid workers on the ground.”

Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said she was “horrified” to hear of the strike, which she confirmed had killed a Canadian citizen. Joly said Canada demanded “full accountability for these killings.” U.S. Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew said he was “deeply saddened by the devastating loss of a U.S. citizen” in the killings.

“We’ve spoken directly to the Israeli government about this particular incident. We’ve urged a swift, a thorough and impartial investigation,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters in Paris.

Poland’s Foreign Ministry extended its “deepest condolences to the family of the volunteer who was providing aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.” The ministry said it objected to the “disregard for international humanitarian law.”

The mayor of the Polish city of Przemysl identified the victim as Soból, who he described as an aid volunteer.

“There are no words to describe the feelings of people who knew this amazing young man right now,” wrote Mayor Wojciech Bakun.

Aparna Branz, a former WCK volunteer, said she got to know Soból while volunteering in Poland and Ukraine in 2022. She described him as “always smiling, kind, patient and ready to help anyone anytime.”

“He was one of the bright lights in those horrible months,” Branz said. She also remembered him as a devoted son who often spoke on the phone with his mother.

The two met again working in the aftermath of last year’s earthquake in Morocco . Branz recalled that Soból was busy getting ready to leave for Rafah at the time, but still, “typical to Damian, he helped me navigate the logistics of transportation, of where to go and where to stay.”

During their work together in the early days of the war in Ukraine, “we didn’t talk about our reason for being there,” she said. “We just wanted to help.”

Potion Brewing

Alchemy is the key aspect of the game (as you surely expected from the title called Alchemist: The Potion Monger ).

Every potion recipe is based on Aspects – reflections of emotions, forces of nature, and ideas. Aspects are divided into four Elements:

• Earth – the backbone of many brews, such as Healing Potions, Poisons, Resurrection Potions, and many more!
• Air – a huge part in Speed Potions, Jump Potions, Perfumes, and all kinds of mind-boosting brews.
• Fire – can set fires (what a surprise), explode, cause aggression, or spread love.
• Water – creates brews such as Cleaning Potions, Quick Reflexes Potions, Ice Potions, etc.

Creating a potion is no easy task and every brew is a Puzzle to solve. How you solve them will depend on the ingredients and alchemical tools you have available. Use various alchemical and other (demonic altars, holy waters, and more) tools to process the ingredients. Then put them into the cauldron and start brewing!

Using your Brews

This is a unique aspect among the alchemist simulators available on the market. After creating potions venture outside your home and influence the world with their help! Possibilities are plenty:

• Make a fireworks show for the townsfolk

Design your Home/Lab

… and make it truly your own! – Alchemist: The Potion Monger will allow a lot of customization in designing your home and yard.

When you first arrive at the Island as an alchemist apprentice, you’ll have an empty home, a sleeping bag, and only some basic alchemical tools with you. Slowly you’ll be able to fill the empty space with furniture, trophies (from slain bosses), advanced tools, and some other weird stuff.

Acquire blueprints from the market, find them in the world, or receive them as a quest reward, and make your – empty at-first – home a true mansion of the wealthy alchemist!

To learn alchemy you’ll surely need some help, luckily you’re not alone.

You’ll arrive on the island with yourtrusty Shiba (you’ll be able to name him/her as you wish). He/she is very special. He/she is the best boy/girl!

Start with working for the middleman and fulfill potion contracts to earn Gold and Reputation. Receive bonuses for better-quality brews, and slowly grow topurchase your own market stall!

Every sold Potion will award you with:

• Gold- a basic resource on the Island, thanks to it you’ll be able to buy Ingredients, Blueprints, Home Upgrades, Potion Recipes, Skill Books, Tools, and more. However, there are some things gold cannot buy…
• Reputation- You arrive on the Island as a nobody and have to slowly gain trust and renown. Do various quests for the Islanders, complete potion contracts, and participate in various events to grow your reputation. A higher reputation will unlock new goods in stores, more quests, more lucrative potion contracts, and progress in the story.

During your alchemist career, your character will develop in various ways. However, there is no ordinary leveling-up system, instead, you’ll be able to get/find/purchase ability scrolls. When you acquire them, the task for the respective skill will be unlocked (e.g. have four potion effects on yourself at once – Slower Metabolism), and when you finish it, you’ll gain a new ability.

Abilities take the form of Merit Badges for you to collect and store in the Almanac, here are some of them:

• Pro Milker – Milking the cow will give you two times the milk.
• Farmer – Planted seeds grow faster.
• Toxic Botanist – Allow to pick up toxic plants without hurting yourself.
• Rascal – Acquire more gold when knocking out characters.

What's the carbon footprint of Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour'?

Taking in over 150 dates and almost as many private jet journeys, the carbon tracking app Greenly has calculated the carbon footprint of Taylor Swift's world tour. And the results are far from green: in the space of a year, the global star has covered almost 60,000 kilometers on her American tour alone, equivalent to 77.5 tCO2e.

Undoubtedly one of the most talked-about musical events of recent years,Taylor Swift's world tour, dubbed "The Eras Tour," began more than a year ago and has been the subject of much hype. But the singer has also found herself under fire from critics, notably for the almost systematic use of her private jet to travel to over 50 cities on five continents. Greenly's investigations estimate that the hundreds of flight hours logged by the global star aboard her 900LX private jet for the first leg of her tour in America could have generated over 139.1 tCO2e for almost 107,000 km traveled! And that's just the tip of the iceberg, since this calculation doesn't include the "Bad Blood" singer's shows in Asia and Oceania in early 2024, as well as those scheduled in Europe between May and August. And that's not to mention the fact that the world tour is due to conclude in North America in early December.

Also pointing out that millions of spectators are expected worldwide, Greenly highlights the additional carbon impact of the variousmeans of transport that fans will useto see their favorite singer perform on stage. To give a concrete example, the study authors polled a sample of 143 people planning to attend Taylor Swift's shows in Lyon, France, on June 2 and 3. Of these, 37 plan to come by train (25.9%), 45 by plane (31.5%), 29 by car (20.2%) and nine using several modes of transport (6.3%)."The aim is not to put forward a random figure, but to raise public awareness of the fact that flying is not a trivial act from the point of view of the climate. However, even with a very small sample, the proportion of spectators likely to take the plane is already not negligible," Greenly carbon methodology expert, Tommy Catherine, said in a statement.

In its estimate of the carbon footprint of "The Eras Tour," the analysis even takes into account online ticket booking, which could amount to some 4.7 tCO2e. This calculation is based on an ADEME estimate that a computer consumes an average of 50Wh, then multiplied by the number of simultaneous online connections, which topped the 900,000 mark on the day online ticketing opened for Taylor Swift's four Paris shows. Assuming that an average laptop consumes around 30 to 70 watts of electricity per hour, and that the process of getting tickets generally took a minimum of two hours, this would mean that around 90 MWh of electricity would have been consumed by Swifties getting tickets for the Paris dates alone,the report states.

And then there's the souvenir T-shirts that many Swifties will probably be keen to get their hands on. This may be a cherished purchase in the eyes of fans, but it's one that can quickly be worth its weight in carbon, given that the production of a classic cotton T-shirt emits an average of 5.2 kgCO2e. Assuming that half the spectators in a 50,000-seat stadium buy a T-shirt at a show, that's an additional 130 tCO2e, or 19,760 tCO2e for the 152 dates, Greenly's experts surmise.

While the report's authors acknowledge the "undeniable" positive economic and cultural impact of "The Eras Tour," they highlight the colossal impact of a musical event of this scale on the planet. Taylor Swift is not the only artist concerned, of course, and it's the music industry as a whole that needs to rethink its operations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A number of well-known bands and artists havealready begun taking steps in this direction,including Coldplay, Massive Attack and Billie Eilish.

If it was up to Sheryl Crow , she and two fellow music legends would've set out on a world tour together.

The folk-pop icon, 62, was among the performers at the Michael J. Fox Foundation's benefit concert A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s on Tuesday, April 2, and while on stage at Nashville's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, she revealed that she proposed to Billy Joel and Lionel Richie that the three go on a world tour together.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee explained that the Piano Man, 74, wasn't up for it when she suggested the idea last year and revealed his reasoning. She said he responded, "I only do two shows a month."

At the benefit concert, Crow was introduced by Jason Isbell , who told the crowd that she taught him "how to write great songs."

The country music star, 45, who performed himself, added, "She has always proven herself to be somebody who says what she means."

During her set, the singer-songwriter also opened up about her new album Evolution , which dropped on March 29, and how it was inspired by the evolution of artificial intelligence.

Backstage, the "If It Makes You Happy" singer continued the conversation with Isbell, expressing her concerns about how A.I. is affecting the music industry.

A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's also featured Little Big Town , and the show concluded with an encore performance from Crow, Isbell and the band.

Although Crow may not be hitting the road with Joel and Richie for an extended run of shows, the three Grammy-winning artists have previously taken to the stage together. In November 2022, they played a special one-night-only show at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Crow also joined Richie, 74, in late 2023 for his Dancing in the Sand show in the Bahamas at the Atlantis resort.

The "Vienna" singer is also currently in the midst of wrapping up his legendary residency at New York City's Madison Square Garden and playing select number of North American tour dates. This year sees him performing a handful of stadium shows across the U.S. with Sting and Stevie Nicks , while also returning to New York to play the final dates of his long-running residency.

Last year, Joel announced that he would be ending his Madison Square Garden concerts in 2024 , with the final show set for July 25.

Before the shows are through, fans will be able to tune into the magic of the "We Didn't Start the Fire" singer's residency, as one performance is set to air on TV later this month.

CBS will be airing footage from the singer-songwriter's March 28 show on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET, in honor of it being his record-breaking 100th consecutive concert at the iconic venue.

The special, titled  The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden — The Greatest Arena Run of All Time , will mark the first time that Joel has ever aired a concert on a broadcast network.

THE Tour Championship is well underway with the world's top players desperate to head to the Crucible in top form.

Yesterday, Ronnie O'Sullivan THRASHED bitter rival Ali Carter 10-2 to book his spot in the semi-finals.

Today's action will see World No2 Judd Trump take on Mark Williams for a place in the last-4.

And we will also learn which two of Zhang Anda, Gary Wilson, Ding Junhui and Mark Allen will progress to the semi-final stage.

A dominant and confident 94 break pulls Wilson back level.

What started as a cagey affair is now looking much more like a display of high quality snooker.

We've effectively got a best of three to decide who will go on to face Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Here's what snooker fans have to look forward to tonight:

QF1: Judd Trump v Mark Williams – Session 2 (3-5 after first session)

QF2: Ding Junhui v Mark Allen – Session 2 (5-3 after first session)

Wilson looked like he had the frame all-but won when he led 61-3, but a mis-hit on red opened it back up for Zhang.

The Chinese national took full advantage with a spectacular run to go on and WIN the frame himself on black.

Zhang has now succeeded in each of the last three frames turning his 7-5 deficit into a 8-7 lead.

This is a slow burning match-up with both players taking their time to ensure they're playing the right shots.

Wilson leads 54-3 in the 15th frame as he looks to take a step ahead of Zhang again.

Level again on Table 2!

The tense battle on Table 2 is on a knife edge and the scores a level once again.

When session two began this afternoon the pair were level at four frames a piece and now they are tied up at 7-7.

It's a great fightback from Zhang Anda who was two sets down before his battle.

Trump 3-5 Williams - Session one over

Mark Williams wraps up the first session of this game and puts one foot in the semi-finals.

The Welshman was unfazed by the fightback that Judd Trump had showed in the previous two frames.

Williams is now halfway to winning the match.

The pair will return to the table this evening at 7pm to discover who will take the next step in the Tour Championship.

Frame back for Anda

Zhang Anda has pulled himself back into his clash with Gary Wilson.

The pair have been ticking along in a slow game on table two.

Trump 3-4 Williams

The final frame is underway of this first session.

After this frame is decided the pair will return to complete their match this evening.

That frame took over half an hour, but ultimately after a gruelling battle the opportunity to end it opened up for Judd Trump.

After trailing 4-1 earlier on this afternoon Trump is now within just ONE frame of Williams.

A fantastic display of snooker.

Over ten minutes have passed and the scores have changed to just 52-1.

Both players are toying with one and other to find and opening and force the other into a mistake.

It's a tense seventh frame that could be huge in the context of the match.

Trump is growing in confidence since his break in the last frame.

He hasn't given Williams a sniff this time round and currently leads 51-0 on the table.

Wilson takes step towards semi

Gary Wilson is now leading by two after success in the 12th frame of his quarter-final clash with Zhang Anda.

Wilson is two ahead for the first time since the early stages of the match yesterday.

Well that's exactly what Trump needed to do to put himself back in this match.

What a statement - a break of 81 give Trump a much better look at the semi-finals.

Trump 1-4 Williams

Williams wins an extremely tight fifth frame on the black.

It was a constant back and fourth from the pair and the first time a frame has gone down to the black between the two today.

It's an uphill battle for in-form Trump from here on out.

Wilson ahead

Gary Wilson has gone ahead for the first time today on Table 2.

The Englishman is now leading 6-5 against Zhang Anda as the pair head towards the conclusion of their match.

The winner of that tie will face Ronnie O'Sullivan in the semi-final tomorrow.

It's a tense start o the fifth frame with both players getting some points on the board.

Trump in just about in control with a 34-30 lead and is looking to keep hold of his place at the table.

Williams watches on anxiously.

Heading back out

After a short break Trump and Williams are heading back to the table for the next four frames.

Trump needs to change his fortunes or he could be seeing a near-impossible task when the pair continue their battle later this evening.

Level on Table 2

Things are back level on Table 2 as Gary Wilson has levelled the scores to 5-5 in his match with Zhang Anda.

Their match continues to take time with the pair pushing each other to the limit in tight affair.

Trump hits back!

Judd Trump wins the fourth frame after Williams concedes.

After trailing 35-0 Trump returned to the table to put himself in a superb position.

Williams is unable to fight back after missing his first shot back on the felt and concedes the frame.

There could be a fight back on now!

Trump 0-3 Williams

Things are looking bleak for Judd Trump who is already trailing 35-0 in the fourth frame.

Could we be seeing another trashing like we did with Ronnie O'Sullivan yesterday.

There's plenty of snooker still to play, but it's not looking good for the Englishman.

TWO MISSED BALLS!

Williams looked to be in the driving seat late on in the third set, but completely MISSED the brown to allow Trump a chance at winning his first frame of the afternoon.

But despite working his way into a position to win the third frame, Trump then MISSED the pink!

Williams followed by using all his experience to win the frame himself. 3-0.

Things are underway on Table 2 as well.

Zhang Anda has won this afternoon's first frame - the match's ninth frame - after their clash resumed at 1pm.

Trump 0-2 Williams

Mark Williams with a sensational second frame to blow away Judd Trump and take a 2-0 lead.

Williams won the frame in one visit with an 85-0 breezing.

It could have been more if not for a wayward black shot, but Williams will be chuffed with his early lead.

Trump 0-1 Williams

Wow! What an ending to that first frame. Mark Williams had the chance to win it with just the pink to put away, but missed his opportunity.

Only for Trump to then suffer the same fate and the pair trade blows to line up the perfect shot to bank the first frame.

Ultimately it was Williams who won in a intense battle between the pair 70-62 after Trump potted the white.

What a way to start this match - 1-0 Williams.

The nestled yellow proved costly allowing Williams to put 28 points on the board and open up the first frame.

Trump is back on the felt as we await to see who will win this intense opening frame in Manchester.
