90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random eye screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for eye screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies - payable only in AED.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From 7 January 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Patient and his/her companion entry permits

International patients who are funded by the medical facility where they will be treated are allowed to enter the UAE for treatment. If a legally recorded medical report demonstrates that the patient requires prolonged treatment and that his/her partner is required in the UAE, the patient's companion's entry permit can only be extended once. Patients from other countries can seek treatment in the UAE through medical institutions or government and commercial hospitals. The sponsor is the registered medical facility or hospital from which the patient is seeking treatment. They are responsible for processing treatment entrance permits at the patient's request.

Foreigners intending to enter the UAE for treatment are granted entrance permits by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, based on the sponsorship of medical institutes (public and private). There are two sorts of permits:

Single Entry Medical Treatment Permit : entitles the holder to enter the UAE within 60 days of issue and stay for 60 days from the date of entry. It is extendable but only for a single entry.

Multiple Entry Medical Treatment Permit : entitles the holder to enter the UAE within 60 days of issuing and stay for 60 days from the date of entry. It is renewable and allows for multiple admissions.

Sri lanka launches new e-visa system: everything you need to know.

Sri Lanka launched an e-visa system, streamlining the visa application process for travellers. The initiative offers updated requirements, fees, and validity periods, enhancing efficiency and convenience for various nationalities visiting for tourism, business, or transit.

• Police Clearance report.
• If the applicant has stayed in another country for more than 6 months, a Police clearance from that country and a copy of the Visa.
• Certificate from a Sri Lankan guarantor & a photocopy of the guarantor's NIC.
• Affidavit from a Sri Lankan JP (Justice of Peace) or a Lawyer.
• Accommodation information (Place of stay).
• Visit the official website of Sri Lanka eVisa.
• Create an account or log in if you already have one.
• Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
• Upload the required documents, including a scanned copy of your passport, a recent photograph, and any additional documents specified for your eVisa category.
• Pay the eVisa fee securely online using the available payment options.
• Once your application is submitted and payment is confirmed, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt and a unique application reference number.
• Track the status of your eVisa application online using your reference number.
• Upon approval, download and print your eVisa to present to the Immigration officer at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
• A printed copy of your eVisa approval letter issued by the Sri Lanka Department of Immigration and Emigration.
• Your passport with a validity of at least six months from the date of entry into Sri Lanka.
• A return ticket or proof of onward travel from Sri Lanka.
