1. CANADA PAVILION | Le Cellier Filet Mignon from Le Cellier Steakhouse.  If you get a chance to snag a reservation at Le Cellier, then ordering the famous filet is a must! An AAA Canadian Tenderloin with Mushroom Risotto, Asparagus-Tomato Relish and Truffle-Butter Sauce – it’s delicious from the first bite to the last!

Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier Steakhouse.  If you don’t snag a reservation, you can also get a cup of soup TO GO. The hubs and I lucked out with a reservation on one of our last trips and let me tell you from appetizer to dessert this steakhouse is worth every good review you’ve heard!

2. UNITED KINGDOM PAVILION | Fish and Chips from Rose & Crown Dining Room.  We snagged this tastiness during our last trip to WDW with the kids! We always stop by Rose & Crown for pints, but this time we didn’t go into the pub but opted for a sit down meal with the kiddos. We split the adults Fish & Chips (the huge portion you see in the back) and the kids split the kids Fish & Chips, the little basket you see up front. They are hot, crispy and delicious – and as you can see generous portions. We’d definitely go back for more!

3. FRANCE PAVILION | Chocolate Crépe from Crêpes de Chefs de France.  Mmmm mmm mmm… there are few things that really stick out in my memory from my trip to Paris years ago, but the crepes are certainly one of them!  And this sweet little treat fits the bill, drizzled in chocolate.

Macarons from Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie.  Shhhh…don’t tell anyone but I’ve never been the hugest fan of macarons. But I take that all back after trying them from Les Halles!  So good and worth the stop! You can also get a Macaron Ice Cream sandwich, which is also on my bucket list for future trips.

4. MOROCCO PAVILION | Honey Chocolate Baklava from Tangierine Cafe. I think I could spend a whole day in the Morocco Pavilion! It’s so pretty and the type of food is right up my alley. If you’re looking for a sweet treat at this stop you can’t go wrong with the baklava. Head all the way to the alcove in the back of Tangierine Cafe and you’ll see a glass case full of options. We opted for the Honey Chocolate Baklava and it did not disappoint!

5. JAPAN PAVILION | Rainbow Kakigōri with Sweet Milk Topping from Kabuki Cafe.  Now I know you’ve heard about this one, right? The Rainbow Japanese Shaved Ice with sweet milk is amazing! So refreshing on a warm day at Epcot and the colorful rainbow of shaved ice will just make you smile.  Worth the stop!

Tonkotsu Ramen from Katsura Grill.  If you’re looking for a sit-down meal, Teppan Edo should be on your list if you can grab a reservation. Also, my husband is a HUGE ramen fan. So no doubt we had to stop for a bit to eat at Katsura Grill. You might notice that most of our Epcot recommendations are from quick-serve restaurants. That’s because I love to try a little of everything! This noodle shop is small but mighty.  The ramen was great!

6. UNITED STATES PAVILION | Funnel Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream from Funnel Cake. We don’t always make a stop in the US pavilion (is that wrong?!) but one thing that is always worth stopping for is the Funnel Cake! Satisfy your sweet tooth with a classic funnel cake topped with your choice of powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream and other tasty options.

7. ITALY PAVILION | Wood-fired Authentic Pizza Napoletana from Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.  Enjoy traditional Neapolitan pizza delivered right to your table, from cheesy quattro formaggi to sausage-topped piccante. The thin-crust pizzas are made with fresh mozzarella cheese, San Marzano tomatoes and real Caputo flour imported from Southern Italy. Water for the dough is even sourced from a spring similar to Italy’s Campania region.

8. GERMANY PAVILION | Bratwurst from Sommerfest.  This was one of my husband’s favorites! He loves a good bratwurst and said this one was very well done! Served on a freshly baked Roll with Sauerkraut with House-made Paprika Chips, if you’re a fan of sausage –  you’ve gotta stop at the Germany Pavilion!

Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce from Sommerfest.  Now this what caught my eye when we visited the Germany Pavilion – Apple Strudel! I mean, just look at that yummy vanilla sauce. It was so tasty (with a German beer)! If you’d like to try your hand at your own,  Disney Parks has shared the recipe here .

9. CHINA PAVILION | Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls from Joy of Tea.  By this point around the World Showcase we’re always quite full so it’s most of the time we grab quick bites at the rest of the pavilions. These Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls hit the spot and are easy to share!

10. NORWAY PAVILION | School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.  The School Bread is the star of the Norway Pavilion! This Sweet Cardamom Bun filled with Vanilla Crème Custard and topped with Glazed and Toasted Coconut pairs perfectly with a Viking Coffee, on our Guide to Drinking Around the World at EPCOT !

Troll Horn from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.  Not everyone is a fan of the School Bread, or if you’ve had that already and want to try another favorite, the Troll Horn is the perfect sweet treat. Cloudberry Jam with Whipped Cream in a Crispy Pastry Sugar-coated Shell, it’s festive and delicious!

11. MEXICO PAVILION | Guacamole with Totopos from La Cantina de San Angel.  Now this SouthWest gal is ALL about the chips and guac! I went into this skeptical if Disney all the way in Orlando could get it right, but the Fresh-made Guacamole with Tortilla Chips from the Mexico Pavilion was fantastic!  Even on the spicy side – well done, Disney!

Churros with Caramel Sauce from La Cantina de San Angel.  These sweet little churros are a little different from what you’ll get at the snack carts in the other parks so they’re worth mentioning on their own!  That caramel sauce though…

2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Guide

food tour epcot

Our ultimate guide to the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival provides likely event dates, tips & info, booth lineup, snack & dessert reviews, entertainment details, things to do for kids, and everything else you need to know about Walt Disney World’s foodie event.

Walt Disney World has not yet released dates for the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and we’re actually reluctant to make concrete predictions since it has had a wide range of starting dates since 2019, beginning as early as mid-July and as late as the end of August. (More on that below.) We’re actually more confident about when it’ll end–likely on November 23, 2024.

The other big unanswered question is whether the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will be entirely back to normal, with its full slate of seminars, special dinners, celebrity chef panels, and various enhancements. These have been absent for the past few years for a variety of different reasons, but there’s a good chance they’ll all (or mostly) return this year. If you want to be notified about 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival official details, dates, or anything else, sign up for our FREE Walt Disney World email newsletter .

Turning back to dates, there are a range of possibilities for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. One noteworthy thing that happened last year was a shortening–rather than an extension–of the event. This was unprecedented. EPCOT festivals have a history of getting longer, but never shorter. Last year’s event ran a total of 115 days, starting 13 days later and ending a day earlier than the previous year. It was 2 weeks shorter than in 2020-2022, but still over one month longer than 2019 or earlier.

Our suspicion is that Walt Disney World has data indicating that guests get “festival fatigue” and there are diminishing returns from running the same event for multiple months. Basically, that it wore out its welcome, and there wasn’t value in starting the festival in the late summer. That’s really they only reason they would’ve shortened it.

We’ve speculated that something similar might happen with the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. After all, the fall foodie festival started in late August from 2017 to 2019, and in September prior to then. So even with last year’s late July start date, it was beginning over a month earlier than the historical norm.

food tour epcot

To that end, we want to point out that Walt Disney World has announced a start date but not an end date for the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. This event is incredibly popular in March and April…and loses its luster by May. Throughout June and into early July, there’s far less interest. EPCOT festivals are fueled by locals and Annual Passholders, and the ‘shelf life’ on most events is a little less than 3 months.

Point being, we could easily see a scenario where the 2024 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival wraps up by late May and the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival starts in late August. In fact, we’d bet on both events being shorter than they were last year. What we wouldn’t necessarily bet on–but what we think would be the smartest move of all–is Walt Disney World introducing a brand-new summer festival for June through August to fill the long gap in between.

This could all be totally wrong. Walt Disney World could conclude it made a mistake last year and extend the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, making it longer than ever before! Regardless of what happens, there’s enough uncertainty that we are not going to predict a start date for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. It could begin in in the first half of July or September 2024–or anytime in between–and we wouldn’t be surprised. That range of potential outcomes is quite wide, and all plausible.

What’s more certain is the end of the event being November 23, 2024. The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival usually concludes the Saturday before Thanksgiving, which is that date. Even that isn’t a 100% sure thing, though, as Thanksgiving is later than normal and Walt Disney World might  opt to end Food & Wine early to start Festival of the Holidays, especially if Food & Wine starts early.

That’s unlikely. The end date of November 23 is probably 95% likely for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. We’ll keep you posted, updating this section accordingly as dates are rumored or announced!

food tour epcot

Even though Walt Disney World has yet to release the full details of the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we already know roughly 80% or more of what it’ll entail. That’s actually a lower number than usual–it’s usually 95% the same from year to year, but with CommuniCore Hall opening in 2024, we’re expecting a lot of changes.

Although the event is never 100% the same from year-to-year, it follows a familiar formula with significant annual overlap. Most of the food booths and menu items are at least 75% the same year-to-year, as is almost everything else about the event.

As noted above, the big exception to that is the culinary seminars, demonstrations, meals with celebrity chefs, and other special events. These have been on hiatus since 2019, but we’re guessing that they finally return to the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival now that the CommuniCore Hall events space will be open.

However, it was honestly somewhat of a surprise that last year’s Food & Wine Festival didn’t bring back these elements. It seems like a no-brainer, as all of these special events are expensive and generate a lot of revenue. If Disney opts against them, it’ll almost certainly be due to insufficient staffing (the bane of Walt Disney World’s efforts to scale back operations and resume full normalcy right now).

We’ll keep you posted about the status of the Party for the Senses, celebrity chef meals and demonstrations, beverage and cheese seminars, and other events if/when Walt Disney World announces them. For now, here’s what you need to know about the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!

food tour epcot

There’s a reason Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival is beloved among many Walt Disney World visitors. October and November are typically the busiest time of the year at the park, and this event is popular primarily because it allows guests the opportunity to eat and drink their way around the World Showcase and parts of Future World, trying new and inventive cuisine along the way.

Although it can be an expensive event, we’ve found ways to get more bang for our buck, and have fun dining at EPCOT before the fireworks. This comprehensive guide to the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will cover everything you need to know when planning for the event, including how to budget your time and money!

What to Expect & Festival Overview

food tour epcot

We’ve done the Food & Wine Festival many times every year for the past decade-plus, spending more money on snacks than we care to think about. We spend several days in Walt Disney World every year during July, August, September, October, and November, grazing the marketplaces and partaking in the Food & Wine festivities.

food tour epcot

All in all, we usually have a good time. Weather-wise, July and August are definitely the least pleasant months for the event and November is the best experience, but after grazing the booths the first three months, we’re usually a bit “over it” by the end. (However, if we were planning only one trip, it’d be in November.)

Beyond that, a few things stuck out that are worth noting. First, and I say this every year, but it’s true once again: by and large, your money doesn’t go very far. Portions don’t seem smaller than last year, nor do prices seem higher, but both were already pretty bad last year, so it’s not like this should be construed as a positive thing. You’ll definitely want to seek out a few sizable dishes.

food tour epcot

Second, crowds are far worse on the weekends and after work and not nearly as bad on weekdays between 11 am and 5 pm. When EPCOT is more crowded, don’t be surprised if you wait in line 10 or more minutes at the cash registers and another 10 minutes at food pick-up.

In the past we’ve cautioned about long lines on the weekends for the more popular booths, which is especially true during peak times in October and November. This compounds the effect of being out in the sweltering heat and humidity. By contrast, on a weekday in September (or even later in the year), you might encounter no lines whatsoever.

food tour epcot

Third, some of the best booths are in Future World. To be fair, there are great items scattered around all of the booths, but the best pound for pound options are often those found closer to the front of the park. This includes the best booth of Food & Wine, Flavors from Fire .

Finally, and most importantly, food quality remains high. The last couple of years the food lineups have been really strong, and I would say that last year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival surpassed the previous year’s event in terms of quality. From the quality of the snacks to the booths themselves (some, like India, are gorgeous! ), everything is incredibly well done. It almost makes the higher prices and smaller portions a bit more palatable. Almost.

food tour epcot

Although this article will provide tips for the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, there are a lot of things we recommend doing in the fall. Read our 2024 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Guide and our When to Visit Walt Disney World in 2024 posts to get an idea of what else to do this time of year. Fall is the perfect time to visit Walt Disney World! Well, my personal “perfect” time of year is Christmas ( nothing beats Christmas at Walt Disney World for me! ), but fall is a close second.

If you’re looking for what’s new for the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival or what our recommend plan of attack is for the festival? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s our strategy for keeping your sanity at the event…

EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Strategy

food tour epcot

Strategy for snacks? Seems like overkill, right? Not at all. While the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is a fun way to sample (mostly) good foods, it’s also insanely popular and expensive (I would say overpriced, but “popular and overpriced” seems like a bit of a contradiction).

By midday, some Food & Wine Festival booths have lengthy lines for ordering and pickup. By late-afternoon, World Showcase is a sea of sweaty humanity with some booth lines having wait times exceeding those for attractions. Add to this little shade and some slightly inebriated guests, and it can be an unpleasant mix. By evening, some areas of World Showcase feel like a mild frat party, with lines being quite lengthy, especially on weekends.

First, you can find the full menus for these booths for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival here . We highly recommend reading these menus before your trip. Study them, learn them, master then. Knowing what you plan to try before you go is great so you don’t wander aimlessly or end up getting things that aren’t what you want most on impulse.

food tour epcot

Below are some tips to make your festival experience more pleasant…

Leave the Shrimp, Take the Salmon & Scallops – With rare exceptions, shrimp at EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival is overpriced, rubbery, and just generally unappetizing. In all our years of doing the event, we’ve found it’s one thing that the culinary teams consistently do not get right. By contrast, salmon and scallop dishes are almost always good–better than you’d expect for their price and being prepared in small kitchens.

Avoid the Hot & Heavy – For an event that starts in the summer and continues in September and October–two months that are still typically quite hot and humid in Florida, there are typically a lot of hot and heavy dishes at the event. While a lot of these are good and worth trying, you’ll want to space them out so they don’t further overheat you. Ideally, have them early in the day or later in the evening once the sun has gone down. (Although that flies in the face of one of our next tips…)

food tour epcot

AC Break – During the hottest part of the day, taking a break from the activities in World Showcase and going to the in-door and air-conditioned films and other attractions is a good idea. General tips for surviving a hot day at Walt Disney World also apply here.

You can get free cups of water from any counter service restaurant, you want to hit places with air-conditioning (I’ll put in a plug for the underrated Impressions de France , which is now only shown in evenings for some stupid reason), and you want to pace yourself when eating and drinking. We expand upon these tips in our Drinking Around the World Showcase article–the idea is the same here.

Go on a Weekday – We noted this above from a crowds perspective, but you’ll want to go on a weekday to avoid the party atmosphere. Weekends are when local college students descend upon EPCOT, and turn the place into a veritable frat party. I love frat parties just as much as the next guy, but there is a time and a place for frat parties. Namely, at a frat house when you’re in college. Not in family-oriented theme parks. Your opinion of Food & Wine Festival could differ dramatically based on whether you go on a weekday or weekend.

Go Early – Slightly before Food and Wine starts, you should be lining up for your first kiosk. Lines are far shorter earlier in the day, but just as important is that it isn’t quite as hot at 11 am as it is at 2 pm. There is very little shade at the booths. If you’ve ever waited in line 30 minutes for some wine and creme brulee in France while sweating through your shirt, you know what I’m talking about.

food tour epcot

Stay or Arrive Late – Lines for the Global Marketplaces typically peak during prime meal hours, and drop by around 8 pm as people are finding spots for EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular. While we recommend doing likewise and grabbing a viewing location, sending someone to grab a few of the heavier dishes that you skipped earlier to enjoy after the sun has gone down is a great idea, too!

There’s probably more strategy than this, like a scientific approach to which direction around World Showcase you should go, the ideal moment to purchase items for maximum freshness, etc., but this is a solid plan of attack. After your second or third drink from one of the kiosks, you’ll be so oblivious to what’s going on that standing in line for snacks may not even bother you.

Fun for Kids at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

food tour epcot

Those of you with families and kids might be thinking that the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival sounds very adult . In some ways–many ways–it definitely is. However, as you can see in perusing the menus, there’s cuisine that’s appropriate for all ages, and many of the dishes aren’t strictly high-brow “foodie” cuisine–they’re fun and universally approachable. So there’s plenty for kids to eat.

Beyond that, there’s entertainment and fun for all ages. The big thing, beyond the fact that this all occurs in a theme park with attractions like Frozen Ever After, princesses, and other characters, is the scavenger hunts and culinary challenges. First, there’s Emile’s Fromage Montage–you sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways, and collect a stamp for each on your “cheese crawl.” Collect all 5 stamps and bring the stamped Festival Passport to Shimmering Sips for a specialty prize unique to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

food tour epcot

Finally, there’s Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt. Embark on an adventure inspired by the Pixar film as you search for Remy on a savory scavenger hunt during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Simply purchase your map and stickers from select Festival merchandise locations, then locate statuettes of Remy hidden all around World Showcase and match the ingredient stickers to your map. Once you’ve found them all, take your completed map to select gift shops and choose a surprise, compliments of Chef Remy!

Our pro tip here is to look at the prizes before purchasing the map. If they’re something you or your kids want, then buy the map. If not, do the scavenger hunt on your own without the map. It’s a fun activity either way, and the map is absolutely unnecessary to searching out the statues and having an enjoyable experience. We buy the map about half the time–the prizes are often good, and the price is usually fair by Walt Disney World merchandise standards.

Eat to the Beat! Concerts

food tour epcot

America Gardens Bandstand – Local Central Florida bands to take the stage at America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase Tuesdays through Thursdays most weeks, when crowds are typically lower at EPCOT.

Eat to the Beat Concert Series – During these Eat to the Beat concerts, popular bands from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s perform some of their greatest hits for the Food & Wine Festival crowds. These concerts are included with park admission, and take place three times per evening on Fridays through Mondays at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.

No, you’re not going to find current big-name artists like ZZ Top or whatever the kids are listening to these days, but it’s a free concert in Walt Disney World. You can find the full line-up and performance dates on our Eat to the Beat Concert Series Schedule .

Food & Wine Festival Seminars & Events

food tour epcot

In addition to the booths at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, there are normally a lot of events. Some of these are regular things like seminars that are offered on a daily basis, and are easily accessible to the average guest. ( Again, nothing in this section has been confirmed for the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.)

Other offerings are premium special events (the use of both ‘premium’ and ‘special’ is basically Disneyspeak for ‘super-duper expensive.’) that are relatively unknown to the average guest and often sell out far in advance. We aren’t really fans of super-duper expensive stuff, but we are fans of words like free and low-cost .

food tour epcot

For those looking to splurge on special events during Food & Wine, the slate of celebrity chefs might be of interest. These visiting chefs host a variety of daily demonstrations, Party for the Senses, grand tasting experiences, beverage and cheese seminars, and other events, all of which are a big part of the festival.

Past celebrity chefs have included Cooking Channel host Tiffani Thiessen and Richard Blais, Alex Guarnaschelli, Robert Irvine, Masaharu Morimoto, Buddy Valastro, Art Smith, and Carla Hall, plus many others.

Epcot-Food-Wine-Festival-0562

Low-Cost Culinary Demonstrations – The low-cost culinary demonstrations are our favorite aspect of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. At $15 to $20 each, they offer a lot more than the free seminars, and a lot of times the samples you receive at these seminars are a better value than what you’d receive if you simply went around to booths and ordered items. In addition to the samples, you receive some basic background information and some entertaining presentations.

These seminars, in general, definitely are not geared to the same level of foodie audience as the special event meals, nor are the samples of the same caliber, but you get what you pay for. We have done several of these, and they generally offer the best value at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. These low-cost seminars offer a good primer to the topic covered, plus pretty good samples.

Walt Disney World has a schedule of the culinary demos, and advance booking info on its Food & Wine Festival Culinary Demos page .

Premium Special Events

food tour epcot

The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival features a number of special events, many of which are quite pricey. Like, over $100 per person in price as the starting price. Reviews for these events are often prefaced with “despite the cost, we enjoyed it…” (or something along those lines), so if there’s one that strikes you as being interesting and you have disposable income, consider giving it a try. Not all of them cost quite that much, but they aren’t cheap.

Here are just a handful of the many premium special events:

  • Interactive Culinary Adventures – Held at select Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts, these special events encourage guests to ask the experts, taste and cook alongside chefs.
  • Sunday Brunch with the Chef – A 2-hour event featuring a breakfast buffet hosted by a culinary TV personality, and includes a sparkling wine toast as well as a meet-and-greet photo opportunity with the celebrity chef.
  • Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It – This hands-on workshop gives guests the opportunity to learn from professional chefs in cake decorating, garnishing, cocktail mixing, and other culinary activities.
  • Party for the Senses – The most popular special event of the Food & Wine Festival, this typically occurs on select dates in September, October, and November.
  • What’s Cookin’ With – This features some of the country’s top celebrity chefs, beginning in the morning with a delightful plated brunch and sparkling wine toast. This starts with a demo, followed by the chefs answering questions from the audience and sharing their anecdotes.

Personally, I think there’s not just the standard Walt Disney World premium here, but also scarcity pricing, in that many of these events are extremely small. Disney knows there are enough guests with significant disposable incomes who won’t balk at high prices to fill the events. That’s just my take, though. Other Walt Disney World fans love these premium events!

Summary & Conclusion

food tour epcot

If you like food, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival should be a lot of fun for you. You don’t need to be a foodie to enjoy it, as there’s really something for everyone. Food & Wine Festival can be a great event and you don’t have to break the bank doing it, but it can also be expensive, crowded, hot, and unpleasant. Good planning and strategy makes all the difference in the experience you have. If you take away nothing else from this post, remember that.

We’ve done EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival multiple times each of the last several years and have generally enjoyed our experiences. In part, this is because we picked weekdays to visit, and had great luck with getting excellent food from the marketplace booths.

Additionally, there’s a ton to do. Even if you went to the park every day of Food & Wine Festival, you couldn’t experience it all, but you would go broke trying! We mention cost here a lot, and for good reason: you can spend a ridiculous amount of money without really trying. Just grazing the various booths for an afternoon can set you back a lot of money.

This isn’t meant to scare you away from the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. To the contrary, in fact. The event can be a tremendous amount of fun if you plan ahead, avoid the hordes of people on the weekend, and get lucky with mild weather. World Showcase feels like an actually living, breathing World Showcase during the festival, with a culinary focus.

Food & Wine is one of Walt Disney World’s most popular events of the year–for good reason. We typically spend a couple full weeks in EPCOT over the course of the event, eating our way around the park. Last year, we bought and ate over 100 snacks ( literally), covering every dish at the event in our comprehensive Global Marketplace Food Photos, Reviews & Booth Menus: EPCOT Food & Wine Festival index.

Planning a Walt Disney World trip? If you’re interested in learning more about hotels, our Walt Disney World Hotels Reviews page is a good place to start. Your Thoughts

Have you done the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World? What did you think? Any favorite marketplace booths or culinary demonstrations you’d recommend? Ever had any negative experiences? Have any tips of your own to share? Any questions we can help you answer? Hearing feedback about your experiences is both interesting to us and helpful to other readers, so please share your thoughts below in the comments!

Happenstance we check in for our visit this year on July 27th – extra bonus that the festival starts this day! Question – we’re taking 2 people with us this year who typically don’t do WDW. My family goes every 2-3 years. We’re adventurous and interested in the food festival, I am wondering if it’s worth the expense? Are we better off with a pricey sit-down meal at a known “great review” restaurant? We are looking forward to the festival to “try different bites” however will it cost more than a sit-down? Of note for consideration of the question: two of our traveling party will have just turned 21 and “drinking around the world” in Epcot was already on the itinerary.

' src=

I would absolutely recommend the festival food over a sit-down meal, hands down! We usually get a festival passport (they’re free and then you have a little souvenir) detailing every booth and the food/drink options there. Even sharing the portions with someone else in my party, I’m always stuffed by the time we get halfway around World Showcase. We’re adventurous, too, and there are too many options to try and several favorites that I have on repeat. It’s such a fun experience, you won’t regret it! You might want to plan two days at Epcot, one day for all the food and one day for drinking around the World, or your group might get too full to drink. 😉 As for price, if I’m with another person for sharing, we each throw $50 or $60 on a festival gift card and use that for the food booths, and that’s usually plenty. We each pay for our own alcohol separately. Hope that helps!

' src=

We always share the portions to extend available belly space for more things. Unless it’s something truly amazing, like best of show SPAM Hash, where I have to eat the whole thing… I’d go with at least $100 on a wrist lanyard gift card to start, and you will be reloading that. It’s a regular Disney gift card too, so you can use it anywhere on property and it makes a nice souvenir too.

' src=

Made my family’s park reservations months ago and we happen to have Epcot for July 27th. I’m hoping that first day will be mostly “influencers” who will focused on the food booths and we can happily walk on the rides!

' src=

To misquote a movie line: “Bricker, you magnificent b*****d! I read your blog!” My wife and I just visited Walt Disney World, and our two booths at the Food and Wine Festival were Flavors from Fire and the India booth. Both were incredible, and both had larger portions than we expected. Thanks again for all of your hard work! It really helped us.

' src=

thank you so much All of your information is too good. By this website i could find out so many festivals places. I want to visit there . Could you help me by giving some more information. i have also a website about festivals products.

' src=

I noticed in one of the photos what looked like a Food and Wine Festival book. I’m assuming this has all the booths and menus in it. Do they have one for 2022 and can I get one before my September visit? Thanks so much! CL

' src=

Cindy, festival “passport” books are printed each year and include the menus for all of the booths. You can pick them up for free at WDW. I’m not sure about getting one in advance unless you have somebody mail one to you.

' src=

Where do we find party for the senses dates? People need to plan

' src=

They haven’t announced anything yet for Party for the Senses.

' src=

I read somewhere it was coming back ugh

' src=

I’ve read the same thing but I have a feeling that, as of now, it’s wishful thinking. And we’ve already booked a data that’s consistent with when they have held it prior years. Keeping fingers crossed.

Best Snacks at Epcot – Eating Around the World Showcase in 2024

While some of the attractions are fun, the real reason you come to Epcot is to eat! But with so many options it can be tough to know what to get, that’s why we’ve decided to make our list of the Best Snacks at Epcot!

Best Snacks at Epcot complete list of must-have food

Of all the awesome places in Disney World to eat, this park is at the top of the list! And let’s face it, Snacking Around the World in Epcot is perhaps our favorite Disney World pastime. We’d put it right up there with Drinking Around the World Showcase , and if done right, the two activities can be done together!

While you can wander through World Showcase without a plan, to really find the best snacks in Epcot you need to know where you’re going, to make the most of your time and money.

First, to get started, you’ll notice something strange about our list of the best Epcot snacks. Just about all of them mentioned in this post are located in World Showcase. We’ve left out Future World almost completely from the discussion, besides a very small Future World snacking mention at the end.

The reason is simple: World Showcase dominates food in Epcot. Nearly every must-have snack in the park is located on the far side of the lagoon, and once you start to get hungry you should immediately start heading in that direction.

Now to make things simple, we’ve grouped our list by country , with all the best snacks from that place there. Most of the countries in World Showcase have multiple must-have treats, but we’ve tried to limit our list to just the best of the best (except in France, because there are just so many we couldn’t skip).

snacks from France pavilion in Epcot

We also are not going to include snacks that you can find at the various Epcot festivals throughout the year like Food and Wine or Flower and Garden . Those festivals are full of limited-time food that you won’t be able to get in other periods. We wanted to make a list of snacks that are always available in Epcot no matter when you visit.

Our challenge to you when snacking around the world is to try to get at least one item in each of the 11 countries in Epcot . This is just like our drinking around the world challenge, but can be done a lot more safely, and will cost you a lot less money.

To successfully complete the challenge though, you do need to eat a snack from every country in World Showcase all in the same day, which believe me won’t be easy!

Even though we don’t usually recommend sharing our food in Disney, going with a group of friends while snacking in Epcot isn’t a bad idea in our opinion. There are so many yummy things to try, it will be really hard to do it all alone. If you have some friends with you, you can each get a few things and share.

Your second trip around the world will be even better, knowing what to get!

Which Direction Should I Start?

walking over the bridge to France in Epcot World Showcase lagoon

I’m assuming you’re entering Epcot from the front of the park, though the International Gateway is getting more and more crowded since the opening of the Disney Skyliner . Again, if you aren’t in Epcot for the rides, skip through the giant construction zone that is Future World, and head straight towards World Showcase Lagoon.

Once you get there you are going to have two options:

  • 1. Go right towards Canada
  • 2. left towards Mexico.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either choice, and I think it depends on what kind of mood you are in when you visit and if you are looking for more savory snacks or sweet treats.

Starting in Mexico is better for eating savory items while going to the Canada side will get you to France quicker, and home of the best bakery in Walt Disney World.

For our list of the best Epcot snacks we are going to start in Canada, but feel free to go whichever direction you want.

Ok, let the snacking begin!!

Best Snacks in Epcot

Canada doesn’t offer many snacking possibilities, and won’t be a long stop on your trip around the world. They don’t even have a real quick service restaurant (what’s up with that??), just the table service restaurant Le Cellier.

Dole Whip at Refreshment Port EPCOT

However, for our challenge, we’re going to include the Refreshment port as being in Canada and here you’ll find one of our favorite Disney snacks…the Dole Whip.

It needs no introduction as it’s perhaps the most popular snack in Disney World, and if you really can’t wait to get back to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, you can grab a dole whip here too. At times it will be located at the Refreshment Outpost on the other side of World Showcase, so check there too.

The Refreshment Port also has traditional poutine , which is basically French fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds. Always a good option.

Maple Popcorn EPCOT Snacks

Maple Popcorn (Snack Cart) – Perhaps the ultimate snack for munching in EPCOT is popcorn, and in Canada, you’ll find a sweet twist to this classic snack with maple popcorn. If you are a fan of maple syrup and popcorn then you will absolutely love the combination. In fact, it’s very similar to another one of our favorites that we’ll get to later on when we arrive in Germany.

It has the perfect balance of crunchy and salty and it’s great for sharing with friends. If you are looking for something quick and easy to bring around World Showcase with you then this is a solid option.

Fish and Chips Yorkshire County Fish Shop UK Best Snacks at Epcot

Don’t get caught up wandering around the U.K. pavilion if you are looking for snacks. While it’s a great place for drinking around the world, not so much when it comes to eating on the go.

Fish and Chips (Yorkshire County Fish Shop) – Fortunately, however, they do have one of our favorite items in Epcot, fish, and chips! This is my favorite fish and chips in Walt Disney World, and as close to the real thing as you will get this side of the Atlantic!

That juicy and succulent fish is coated in a crunchy beer batter and fried to perfection. Fish is good for you right??

Fraises Strawberry tart France pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Now we’ve hit the motherload of Epcot snacking, the France pavilion. If you like food, whether savory or sweet, there is an almost infinite amount of things that will keep you occupied for hours. You can’t go wrong with almost anything you get at either Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie or L’Artisan des Glaces.

TIP: Make sure not to stay in France too long if you want to complete the challenge as you can get full here very easily.

The smell of freshly baked bread and sugar as you walk in Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is enough to spike your glucose levels to the moon.

Here you will find savory items like sandwiches, quiches, and breads:

Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie sandwiches Best Snacks at Epcot

And twice as many desserts:

Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie sweets Best Snacks at Epcot

It was very hard to narrow the list down, but here are a few of our favorites you have to get at least once:

Roulé Lard and Fromage (Bacon and Cheese Roll) – This is a giant, chewy bread that has been rolled up into a wheel and stuffed with bacon and cheese throughout! They don’t skimp here either. Make sure to ask for it heated up which puts it over the top!

Bacon Cheese Roll France Best Snacks at Epcot

Croque Monsieur – Think of this as the best ham and cheese sandwich you’ve ever had. Outside is a toasted bread with cheese melted all over the top of it, and inside ham and creamy bechamel sauce.

Croque Monsieur France pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Flan e Cerises (Cherry and Flan Tart) – There are too many awesome pastries in Les Halles, yet I hardly ever see anyone name the Flan e Cerises as one of the best. You’d be mistaken to not try it as it has a perfect thin pastry shell and a sweet custardy cream. Great if you are a cherry fan!

Cerises Flan Tart France pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Citron (Lemon Meringue Tart) – My grandmother used to make the best lemon pies in the world and that’s what this treat reminds me of. The perfect combo between tart and sweet, with a spongey meringue topping, makes this a must-get Epcot snack!

Citron Lemon Tart Best Snacks at Epcot

Macarons – If you are looking for a snack that you don’t necessarily need to eat right at that moment, the macarons in France are the perfect on-the-go snack. They come in a variety pack with flavors like: lemon, pistachio, orange, raspberry, blueberry, and black courant. If you haven’t tried macarons before, this is a good time to do so!

Macarons France pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Moving away from the Boulangerie Patisserie, L’Artisan des Glaces is smaller, but also has some snacks that you can’t miss while visiting Epcot.

Brioche Ice Cream Sandwich – You’ve heard of a brioche bun before right? Maybe you have tried one of these soft and buttery rolls already on a sandwich. Well, here you can build your own brioche ice cream sandwich.

Brioche Ice Cream sandwich France pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

It’s two halves of a brioche bun, opened up with your choice of ice cream in the center. Then you get to cover it with your choice of sauce and watch as the whole thing is sealed shut by a warm press. I don’t have to tell you what happens next…

Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich – Also available at L’Artisan des Glaces are the macaron ice cream sandwiches. That’s right, take a giant version of those cookies from next door and scoop ice cream in the middle and you immediately get one of the best ice cream snacks in Epcot for sure!

Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich France Pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Ice Cream Martini – This is an “adults-only” type of snack, and it’s one of our all-time favorites. Choose two scoops of ice cream that are then put into a martini glass and topped with a shot of Grand Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka, or Rum.

Not only is it delicious, but it’s also dangerous. After a while when the ice cream starts melting into everything, it’s hard to taste the alcohol, but trust me, it packs a punch.

Seriously, how many amazing things does L’Artisan des Glaces have??

Ice Cream Martini EPCOT L’Artisan des Glaces

Crêpes (Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris) – There have always been crepes in EPCOT, now Disney has taken things to the next level when they opened two locations in the newly expanded France pavilion.

We prefer the quick service location outside and here you can find both sweet and savory crepes (galettes). They are all great but our favorites are the Bechamel, Cheese & Ham Galette , Housemade Hazelnut & Chocolate Spread Crêpe (Nutella), and the Red Berries Crêpe which you can’t get inside and our go-to.

Crepes from Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris EPCOT

Yeah, we spent some extra time in the France pavilion during our tour of the best snacks in Epcot, but it’s because there are just too many to ignore. We literally could have named off another 10 things you have to try there if we had more room, but we don’t want France to steal all the thunder.

And just think, the France pavilion is going to have even more must-try snacks once the new expansion is finished…

Morocco is one of those countries that a lot of people just brush right through, without stopping to smell and taste all the yummy treats that surround them. These used to be found at the Tangierine Cafe, but now they are mostly located at the Oasis Sweets & Sips right along the promenade. This is an underrated location with some of the best snacks in EPCOT.

Almond Pastry (Oasis Sips & Sweets) – We love this one because it’s different from some of the more extravagant sweets over in the France pavilion. It wins our affection because of its simple, yet pronounced flavors. The pastry dough is very light and flaky and the almond paste inside is just enough to meet expectations.

Almond Pastry Morocco pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Baklava (Oasis Sweets & Sips) – Of course when you think of snacks in the Morocco pavilion, your mind jumps to baklava, and there are lots of flavors there to choose from. Cashew and walnut are options, but our favorite is the Pistachio Baklava.

Pistachio Baklava Morocco Pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Again, it may not look like much, but if you want that pure pistachio taste, this is the best place in Epcot to get it.

Japan has some of the absolute best table service dining in Epcot, but it also has some tricks up its sleeve in the snack game too, so don’t overlook it!

Kaki Gori (Kabuki Cafe) – If you haven’t had shave ice before, then you’re in for a real treat when walking by Kabuki Cafe in the Japan pavilion. Here is where you get monster cups of shaved ice flavored with strawberry, rainbow, blue raspberry, melon, cherry, or tangerine, and even covered in a sweet and creamy milk on top.

Super refreshing and a great pick for a hot day in Epcot.

American Adventure

Congratulations! By now you’ve snacked your way halfway around World Showcase. But the fun is just beginning and we have plenty more treats both savory and sweet to feast on.

Funnel Cakes (Funnel Cake) – Funnel cakes are an American tradition, and the little stand here does them pretty well. There are a ton of varieties to choose from including: chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, cookies, and cream, or just plain with powdered sugar.

Also during festival time, you can always find a special funnel cake with totally different flavors than what’s usually there. Like the maple bacon one from Food and Wine!

Funnel cake with ice cream American Adventure Best Snacks at Epcot

While not quite as good as in Disneyland, Epcot’s version of a funnel cake stands up there as a must-try snack!

American Dream (Fife and Drum) – So as you know Epcot can be a real inferno if you go from April to October, and we’re always looking for something cool and refreshing to chill out with. Enter the American Dream…

American Dream American Adventure Best Snacks at Epcot

This is a slushy/soft serve ice cream combo with frozen Fanta strawberry and blue raspberry, layered with vanilla soft serve in between. We love this and it’s probably our favorite frosty snack in Epcot!

Loaded Burnt End Fries (Regal Eagle Smokehouse) – This massive platter of seasoned fries comes topped with macaroni & cheese, beer-battered onion rings and those tender burnt end pieces. Who are we kidding, these are more like a full meal rather than a snack, but that’s fine with us!

This is a must get if you are a bbq fan, but often they are not available and it’s hard to predict. Talking with the cast members at Regal Eagle, they don’t even have a schedule for them. Every once and a while the chef says: “ok, we have enough burnt ends to make fries today.”

And they last until they are gone. So just keep going and check whenever you are in EPCOT and maybe you will get lucky.

S’mores Brownie (Regal Eagle Smokehouse) – Lastly, we have a newer entry from the Regal Eagle Smokehouse, the S’mores brownie. What can be more American than S’mores? Thankfully, they do it right here.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse Brownie EPCOT Snacks

This thing has a crumbly graham cracker crust for a base, then topped with a rich dark chocolate brownie on that. Moving up there is a decadent and creamy chocolate ganache layer, and on top of that, a thick and fluffy marshmallow cream which is slightly toasted. Oh yeah, don’t forget the chocolate candy square on top!

We think this is the perfect combo of graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow, without one of them overpowering the other. It also means you need to save room after the BBQ for dessert or stop by just for this!

Italy is another pavilion in Epcot which is probably more well known for its table service restaurants rather than snacks. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything good to try, however. Right alongside the Epcot promenade in fact you’ll find some of the best sweet treats in the park!

Cannoli (Gelati) – Who doesn’t love cannoli? This Italian dessert is especially close to my heart and something I love to eat, especially when I’m actually in Italia. While I can’t say they are exactly the same as the real thing, they are pretty close!

A hard, crunchy shell stuffed with a sweet ricotta filling, makes this a perfect snack to finish the night off with after a huge meal at Via Napoli !

Cannoli Italy Pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Gelato Sandwich (Gelati) – Epcot may just have the best ice cream sandwiches in all Walt Disney World, and another to make the list is the gelato sandwich in Italy. Choose any flavor gelato you want and cram it between two chewy chocolate chip cookies. You can’t say no to that!

We’ve made it all the way to Germany, and while you might think of beer at first here, there are some really good snacks you can have along with your refreshing bier!

Jumbo Pretzels (Snack Cart) – The giant pretzels in Germany seem to move around a bit, but they can either be found at the snack cart along the World Showcase promenade or in Sommerfest.

Wherever they are though, you need to try one. This is a perfect snack to share with your friends in EPCOT because it’s HUGE. I mean it’s probably bigger than your head, it’s that big. We love the super chewiness to it and makes a perfect companion to a cold beer!

Giant Pretzel Germany pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Caramel Smore’s (Karamell-Küche) – If you have a sweet tooth and you’re visiting Epcot, Karamell-Küche should be your first stop. They have everything in there flavored to caramel, including our personal favorite, the caramel s’mores!

A twist on the traditional s’mores, this one has two chocolate-covered graham crackers with a marshmallow center, but then they add a caramel core and drizzle it all over the top, making this one of the sweetest treats in Epcot, and an absolute favorite!

Caramel S'mores Germany pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Werther’s Caramel Popcorn (Karamell-Küche) – Don’t be fooled into thinking this is your average caramel popcorn you can find in other places around Walt Disney World. No the caramel popcorn here is kicked up a notch as it’s warm and made fresh.

EPCOT Snacks

It is covered in extra-chewy caramel. Just take one whiff of it when you walk in the door and try to say no!

Werther’s Chocolate Square with Sea Salt (Karamell-Küche) – What’s better than a tall block of rich gooey caramel covered in a dark chocolate or milk chocolate square? Not much. Top it off with a sprinkle of sea salt and it only takes one bite to get you hooked!

Werther's Milk Chocolate Square with Sea Salt Karamell-Küche

Werther’s Original Caramel Butter Bar (Karamell-Küche) – This can now be found in a few locations in Disney World, but it doesn’t taste quite as good as it does in EPCOT’s Germany. This may be the richest and most buttery snack at Karamell-Küche as it’s made from sweet caramel layered into a buttery shortbread.

Disney World Snacks cost

This snack is really, really buttery which is then balanced but the sugary, bready goodness of the shortbread. You can’t go wrong with this simple yet addicting snack.

Werther’s Original Caramel Pecan Cluster (Karamell-Kuche) – By now you are getting the point that there is a lot to try at Karamell-Küche, but one of the most iconic snacks here is the caramel pecan cluster. It has rich caramel layered over roasted salted pecans and topped with milk chocolate confectioners coating.

Karamell Küche Caramel Pecan Cluster

I may be wrong here but you can pretty much cover anything in a big glob of caramel and I’ll be happy, but you’ll especially like it if you are a pecan fan. Again, the combo of sweet and saltiness plus the added flavor of chocolate make this one a winner!

Who are we kidding, you could spend all day in Karamell-Küche trying all the amazing snacks and we could put just about all of them on this list. Just look at that window:

Caramel snacks at Karamell-Küche EPCOT

China has one of the weaker snack varieties in World Showcase, but there is still a couple worthy of your hard-earned money.

Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls (Joy of Tea) – We are always up for some egg rolls and the vegetable and pork ones at Joy of Tea are worth our snack credits. They are super flavorful and have a great fried shell to them, not too heavy but done just right.

Different from the egg rolls in Adventureland, but just as good.

Egg Rolls China pavilion Epcot Best Snacks at Epcot

Curry Chicken Pocket (Joy of Tea) – Another outstanding snack from Joy of Tea, the curry chicken pockets are slightly spicy and surprisingly filling for their size. You can get both of these snacks in a combo meal with a beverage which might save you a little money.

I know a lot of people go for the bubble milk tea here too, but I’m not a fan of the tapioca pearls and refuse to try it again. If you like that kind of thing though go for it.

Chicken Pot Stickers China EPCOT Snacks

Chicken Pot Stickers (Lotus Blossom Cafe) – While the China pavilion doesn’t have the best quick service food in EPCOT, we do enjoy the chicken pot stickers. We are huge pot sticker fans and order them at just about every Chinese restaurant. They are slightly crispy on the outside and served with a sweet and sour sauce.

While not the best pot stickers we’ve ever tried, they are easy to eat and good in a pinch.

We’re coming down to the home stretch of our snacking around the world challenge and by this time you will no doubt be extremely full and extremely tired. If you need a break, you can always jump in line for Frozen Ever After, which should kill a good hour plus of time, giving you a chance to digest.

Once you’re ready to eat again, Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe is the place to go:

School Bread at Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe Best Snacks at Epcot

School Bread (Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe) – You really can’t go wrong at Kringla, and there are always new snacks they are introducing all the time so stay sharp. However, by far the most popular snack in Norway is school bread.

School Bread Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe EPCOT Snacks

To me, it was an acquired taste, and I wasn’t crazy about it at first, but over time it grew on me. Modeled after a traditional Norwegian snack, the school bread here is a sweet bread that is then injected with vanilla custard and topped off with shaved coconut and sweet icing. One of the most famous Epcot snacks and one you can’t go home without trying.

Eplekake Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe EPCOT Snacks

Eplekake (Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe) – This is one of the newest offerings at Kringla, and it may be our favorite yet. It’s a round apple cake with powdered sugar and caramel drizzle poured on top. We aren’t usually cake fans in general, but this one was dense yet very moist on the inside making it easy to eat.

Some describe it as an apple pie, and while it’s not exactly the same thing, it does have some nice chunks of apple mixed in, plus the expected flavors of cinnamon and spices. And despite the caramel on top, it’s not overly sweet which made it easy for us to devour the entire thing!

You’ve made it all the way to Mexico (or are just starting out here), either way, you deserve a high-five, and this is where you come for the best savory snacks in Epcot. Both La Cantina de San Angel and Choza de Margarita have some amazing options, too many to list so here is just a sampling.

Nachos (La Cantina de San Angel) – Definitely one of the biggest snacks in Epcot, and the average person might make this a whole meal. We’re pushing through though as we down these crisp tortilla chips covered in seasoned ground beef, tomatoes jalapeños, and fresh queso. A must-get!

Nachos Mexico pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Empanadas con Queso (La Cantina de San Angel) – Holy cow are these empanadas good. You get three small and crispy empanadas with your order, which are covered and stuffed with a rich queso. If this doesn’t hit your craving for Mexican, I don’t know what will.

Empanadas con queso Mexico pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

Empanada de Barbacoa (Choza de Margarita) – Another empanada? Yes, we don’t even care since this one might be even better than the first. What sets this one apart is the shredded beef inside with the queso, making it an absolutely irresistible snack.

Best Snacks at Epcot Empanadas de barbacoa

Tacos Al Pastor (Choza de Margarita) – Last on our list of the best Epcot snacks are these tacos from Choza de Margarita. The marinated and grilled port was done perfectly and you can really taste the freshness in the ingredients. Plus don’t get us started on that corn esquites that come on the side!

tacos al pastor Mexico pavilion Best Snacks at Epcot

World Showcase Plaza

Mickey-Shaped Liquid Nitro Cake (Swirled Showcase) – Before we leave World Showcase, we have one more snack to share with you. Recently, a new snack location was built here for the various festivals called Swirled Showcase, which specializes in soft serve ice cream.

However, my favorite snack here is the Mickey-shaped liquid nitro cake. It’s a thick cake pop which has more of a brownie consistency. Thick and chewy. The coolest part though is when they dip it in chocolate and then freeze it with liquid nitrogen!

Plus when you add those crunchy toppings, that gives us a sure winner on our hands.

Mickey Liquid Nitro Cake EPCOT

World Celebration/World Nature/World Discovery

The front area of EPCOT doesn’t get any snack love, but it’s hard to do when most of the area is a construction zone at the moment. The one place that does still have some good snacks here is The Land pavilion at Sunshine Seasons . There are a variety of sweets, including the best cupcakes in Epcot.

Sunshine Seasons sign Epcot

It’s also a great quick service location with lots of dishes, so if you are going to be in that area for Soarin’ and Living with the Land, you might as well stop by and see what they have.

Turtle Brownie (Sunshine Seasons) – One of our favorite snacks at Sunshine Seasons is this chocolatey turtle brownie. This is one of the best-kept secrets in EPCOT. It has all sorts of chocolate action going on with a dense brownie layer bottom and a rich dark chocolate frosting on top.

Turtle Brownie EPCOT

Right in the middle of the chocolate is a thick layer of gooey caramel! Top it off with crushed pecans and you get perhaps the best brownie in Disney World. Forget Soarin’, it’s worth the trip over to The Land just for this!

Oswald Triple Chocolate Cake (Sunshine Seasons) – Disney has rolled out some brand new snacks for the company’s 100th Anniversary, and one of our favorites in EPCOT is this cake. Honestly, we are not usually even big chocolate fans, but we can’t get enough of it.

Oswald Triple Chocolate Cake Sunshine Seasons EPCOT

Take chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse and top it with a white cookie dome, and you have one seriously rich and decadent dessert. All the layers are different and have different textures, and the crispy pearls in the mousse are fantastic.

Not to mention, this thing is adorable with Oswald’s ears sticking out of the top of it. Disney owes a lot to Oswald, because if he hadn’t got stolen, who knows if Walt Disney would have ever been inspired to invent Mickey Mouse.

Liege Waffle (Connections Eatery) – There is no doubt that the Connections Café and Eatery is one of the best quick service restaurants in EPCOT , and while they have a multitude of great burgers and pizza to choose from, our favorite item on the menu may be this sweet waffle.

Liege Waffle Connections Eatery EPCOT Snacks

The unique brioche dough is pressed in pearl sugar and baked in cast iron which gives it a crunchy and flakey texture. The pearl sugar coating means that it’s sweeter than a normal waffle, which is fine for us. You can get them plain or covered in strawberries, chocolate sauce, and homemade whipped cream. Need I say more?

Black Forest Baumkuchen (Connections Eatery) – As if we didn’t have enough good snacks to try at the Connections Eatery, Disney went ahead and added this amazing and unique twist on a Black Forest cake.

Black Forest Baumkuchen Connections Eatery EPCOT

The cake has a half-ring shape and has many thin layers on the inside. It reminds me of when you cut open a tree, although way tastier. In fact, the name Baumkuchen translates to “tree cake” or “log cake” in German.

The cake it most and delicious, not to mention it’s covered in whipped cream, chocolate sauce, cherry compote, and two chocolate pieces. It’s also pretty big so easily shareable (if you are so inclined).

The Cronut (Connections Cafe) – The what?? Yes, the Cronut. It’s a combination Croissant and Doughnut, and let me tell you, it’s marvelous!

Cronut Connections Cafe EPCOT

We were upset because for some years it seemed like they had discontinued the cronut in EPCOT, but we are happy to say it’s back at the Connections Cafe (Starbucks).

The dough is fried and in the same shape as a doughnut, but it’s made of individual layers of pastry that flakes apart beautifully, just like a good croissant. The outside is coated in cinnamon sugar, and while not quite as crispy as it used to be, it still has a nice crunch.

The only thing we wish they’d bring back is the ice cream on top. It used to be offered in its old location at the Refreshment Port, taking this amazing treat to a whole other level!!

Last but not least, if you are a soda fan, make sure to head over to the newly redesigned Club Cool . Here you can taste various flavors of soda from all around the world, and do it for free! In fact, it’s one of our favorite free things to do in Disney World.

Choose from 8 exotic flavors such as Viva Raspberry, Royal Wattamelon, Bon Bon Anglais, and the controversial Smart Sour Plum from China. And don’t forget that Beverly is back too! The best part is you can drink until your heart’s content so come when you are thirsty!

Sprite Cucumber Club Cool EPCOT

So you’ve finished our snacking around the World Showcase challenge and you now know all the best snacks to try in Epcot. You won’t be able to get to all of them on one trip around, which means you’ll get to come back time and time again and try the ones you missed the first time.

There are always new snacks in Epcot to try, so make sure to keep checking back as we add the new ones to our list for you!

We also want to hear from you, so when you do the challenge we want you to leave us a comment below telling us your favorite snacks in Epcot, and if you were able to make it all the way around World Showcase in one day! Also, let us know if we left something off the list that deserves to be there!

Ziggy Knows Disney close

My name is Ziggy and I love Disney, everything Disney! I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a huge part of my life. I started young when my parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old. Little did they know that would be the first of an uncountable number of trips we would take. I have so many amazing memories going to Disney with my family and friends and it has been interwoven into my DNA.

Wow!!! It will take a few trips there to actually consume some of the delicious snacks you suggest. The only way to really comment on this, is to personally try them, but I will admit we will go there with an empty stomach, and it has been a few years since we were there, and I have made pages and pages of notes as a reference. I can honestly say, I never realized, there were so many choices, due to the fact we were more interested in taking in most of the attractions and only tried a few snacks while there. We have a lot to catch up on. Tks. Tony

Hi Daniel, believe it or not, I have not yet tried it! I'll have to get it on my next trip to EPCOT!! Perhaps it will make the list on my next update!

Disney Skyliner Food Tour: A Soaring Culinary Experience

The Disney Skyliner—Walt Disney World’s newest form of transportation—is open, connecting restaurants and lounges at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and a bunch of resorts into a whole web of magical dining possibilities. So, we decided to dig into all the delicious options. Keep reading as we round up all the dining (and drinking) options along the Disney Skyliner route and even share some ideas for creating your own customized Disney Skyliner food tour. Updated September 8, 2023

It All Started with a Train

Walt Disney was always fond of trains. Well, fond might be putting it mildly—this was more like what you’d call a love affair. From a young age, Walt would watch the steam engines as they chugged by, spewing smoke all the way. And thus began a lifelong passion.  After that, trains cropped up throughout his life: a brief stint selling concessions on a local route, a little guy we all know as Mickey Mouse being created on a cross-country journey from New York to Los Angeles, even a 1/8 th -scale version he built in his backyard called the Carolwood Pacific.

Trains even became an integral component at the Disney parks, with trains of some sort (like Walt Disney World’s monorail) showing up at every Disney park throughout the world. You can even see a car from Walt’s Carolwood Pacific at the villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge . Now, with the Disney Skyliner open, yet another iteration of one of Walt’s favorite things can be found at Walt Disney World.

When it came to food, however, Walt preferred the simpler things, chili being his personal favorite. Those tastes then influenced the food offered at the Disney parks, first at Disneyland and, later, at Walt Disney World. Of course, Disney theme parks have come quite a long way since then. From Disney dim sum at Hong Kong Disneyland to an interactive and highly themed bar inspired by a beloved attraction at both Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Disney World and the Disneyland Hotel , Disney has truly taken both food and dining experiences to a creative new level.

Which makes us wonder, what would Walt think about all this? We don’t know about you, but considering how important he felt it was to give guests an immersive experience that takes them out of their everyday reality, we’d tend to think that he’d be really pleased with how Disney’s food scene has grown.  Fortunately, there’s now no better way to experience some of Disney World’s best restaurants than on Disney’s new train through the sky: the Skyliner.

To illustrate, let’s just do some quick math. There are four resorts that sit directly along a Disney Skyliner route. Those resorts are connected to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot . Plus, since you’ll touch down near Epcot International Gateway next to World Showcase, you’re also connected to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, as well as Disney’s BoardWalk . And if you want to get technical, you can also throw the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin into the mix. That’s over 100 different dining options when you add in food and drink carts, but not including any festival food booths, Joffrey’s stands, or anything at the Swan and Dolphin .

That’s a ton of food. We hope you’ve brought your appetite.

Disney Skyliner: A Beginner’s Guide

As the Disney Skyliner will be your main mode of transportation throughout your magical culinary adventure, we figured we should give you a quick rundown on what it’s all about for those of you who haven’t had the chance to experience it yet.  Disney’s Skyliner is an aerial gondola ride that is * free * to ride, and anyone is welcome whether you have a park ticket or dining or resort reservation or not. Once you reach a station, you and your group will hop into an enclosed gondola at one of the various stops, then you’ll sit back and enjoy a bird’s-eye view as you swoop to your destination.

Sounds lovely, right? It truly is a relaxing, picturesque way to get around Walt Disney World. You’ll even get a chance to see the parks from a new perspective as you’re both taking off and coming in for a landing.  One of our favorite features of the Skyliner is all the different Disney character-themed gondolas. While not all ride vehicles are themed, most of them are, and there are many different designs featuring different characters to see as you wait in line to get on. Each of these themed designs features plenty of unique details that are tons of fun to spot.

For those who have never ridden on an aerial gondola before, there are a few things you should know. Unless you require a wheelchair-accessible ride vehicle, the gondola will be moving slowly as you step in and out. When it comes to speed, the Skyliner moves at a decent yet leisurely clip. However, it can sometimes feel like you’re coming in a bit hot as you enter one of the turns or when coming in to land. Overall, it’s a smooth trip and a nice departure from your car or the bus.

Additionally, one final thing to keep in mind when planning to ride the Skyliner is the weather. While it can run in wind and rain , things can get bumpy real fast. As you can imagine, given that you’re in a ride vehicle floating through the air on a cable, the Disney Skyliner isn’t exactly the place you want to be in the event of a storm or really heavy winds. Fortunately, the safety of you and your family is Disney’s number one priority, and if the wind gets too rough or if there’s lightning in the area, the Skyliner will temporarily shut down. So, be sure to have a backup mode of transportation or be prepared to wait around until things are up and running again.

Disney Skyliner Resorts

The following theme parks and resorts are direct Disney Skyliner destinations:

  • Hollywood Studios
  • Art of Animation Resort
  • Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Pop Century Resort
  • Riviera Resort

Since the Skyliner’s Epcot stop is located at International Gateway, near World Showcase , it also indirectly connects guests to the Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment area and BoardWalk Inn , and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels . These are just a short walk away once you get off at International Gateway.

Disney Skyliner Routes

One of the best things about Disney’s Monorail is its simplicity. There are only two routes—the Magic Kingdom loop and the Epcot loop. (Well, technically there are three if you count the Magic Kingdom express and resort loops separately.) Of those routes, two of them have just two stops while the other simply tacks on a few resorts, and the only time you’ll ever need to transfer is if you decide to travel between Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Circular, straightforward, easy to remember—it’s great.

The Skyliner, in contrast, likes to keep things interesting. Although there are technically only six stops along the entire Skyliner route, those stops are connected by a network of basically three different routes with Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort as the hub. That means that depending on where you want to go, you may need to transfer a couple of times to get where you are heading. So, whether you’re planning your food journey or simply going to get dinner, it’s important to know the lay of the land to make getting where you want to be as easy as possible.

Disney’s Skyliner runs between:

  • Caribbean Beach Resort and Hollywood Studios Park
  • Caribbean Beach Resort and Pop Century Resort/Art of Animation Resort
  • Caribbean Beach Resort and Epcot’s International Gateway with a stop at the Riviera Resort

As you’ll notice, Caribbean Beach is the connecting point for everything. Keep in mind, however, that you typically aren’t allowed to park there unless you are a resort guest or have a dining reservation.

Choose Your Own Disney Skyliner Dining Adventure

Now that you know all the great resort dining options that are available along Disney’s Skyliner route, it’s time for the fun part: thinking about all the ways you can mix and match everything that’s available to create the Disney Skyliner food tour of your dreams. Just think of all the possibilities! Similar to Disney’s former Highway in the Sky Dine Around visiting Magic Kingdom resorts along the Monorail , a Skyliner sip-and-stroll (or eat-and-stroll) is the perfect way to see resorts that you may have never visited before.

Of course, we aren’t the first people to think about this and we certainly won’t be the last. In fact, there are already quite a few Skyliner dine-around suggestions to be found on the interwebs if you’d prefer to have someone else do all the planning for you. Rather than pigeonholing you into a particular route or certain restaurants, we wanted to help get your creative juices flowing so you can come up with a Disney Skyliner foodie tour perfectly suited to your own tastes and interests.

Depending on what you and your group are into, you could…

  • DIY a bar crawl with a built-in designated driver
  • Satisfy your sweet tooth with a dessert-focused tour
  • Try a little bit of everything with an appetizer dine-around
  • Theme your day around a certain cuisine
  • Resort hop as you work your way from drinks and hors d’oeuvres all the way to desserts with a progressive dinner
  • Expand your Skyliner food tour to include Epcot or Hollywood Studios (or both, if you’re extra ambitious) for an all-day dine-around extravaganza.

Whatever you do, we highly recommend that you take some time to plot out what you’d like to eat and drink, then figure out where everything sits along the Skyliner route so you can make your plan of attack. Getting around on Disney’s Skyliner takes time, as does walking to each restaurant, and, of course, enjoying everything you buy. So, the more planning you can put in upfront, the more time you’ll have to explore—and eat.

Skyliner Hub surrounded by water

That’s all for our guide to Disney Skyliner dining. We hope you’ve got a few delicious ideas going for your next Walt Disney World vacation. There’s also plenty more where that came from, with tasty restaurants located at all four theme parks, Disney Springs and the rest of the Disney World hotels.

To maximize your time (more time for food!), be sure to check out our one-day plans for Epcot and Hollywood Studios . To maximize your cash (more money for food!), don’t miss out on our discounted Disney World tickets .  Have you DIYed your own Disney food tour? Where’d you go? How’d you get there? And most importantly, what did you eat and drink? We’d love to hear about your own experiences and add any tips and tricks we might have missed.

In an effort to celebrate one of the park’s most iconic experiences, world-renowned late-night talk host Jimmy Fallon has been removed from Universal Studios Hollywood in an interesting way.

The Universal Studios Hollywood Resort is unique in a lot of ways and is one of the most cherished theme parks on Earth, offering guests a lot of iconic and classic rides and attractions. Some of the most popular experiences at the resort include Jurassic World: The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride, and, of course, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. However, the Universal Studio Tour is one of the most beloved attractions, not just at the resort but at any Universal Studios location.

The Universal Studio Tour is absolutely iconic and plays a big part in theme park history, taking guests backstage through some of the world’s most recognizable and famous films and locations. The attraction is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, with special, limited-time events and celebrations taking place.

Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. Step off the tram and onto the studio backlot to visit an iconic film set, join immersive photo-ops, enjoy new themed food and merchandise, and much more.

A group of excited passengers on the universal studios tour tram, waving and smiling as they embark on their adventure through the famous movie studio lot.

The Studio Tour has been operating for decades, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the world of filmmaking. Over the years, countless productions have utilized the Studios’ backlot to film iconic scenes, both in television and cinema. An episode of  Knight Ridersued the backlot to film an action-packed chase scene.

The large banner used to prominently feature Jimmy Fallon but now celebrates a variety of classic movies as part of the Studios Tour’s anniversary celebration event.  Twitter user @HighUniversal shared the news online, as well as an image of what the old sign with Jimmy Fallon looked like.

The Universal Studio Tour takes guests through various film sets on the Universal Studios Lot. The entire experience lasts anywhere between 45 and 60 minutes and is led by a tram guide. The guide shares interesting information during the tour and is accompanied by pre-recorded videos and audio of Jimmy Fallon. A version of the tour can also be found at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida, though mosts purists would consider Hollywood’s version to be the best.

Jimmy Fallon has quite an interesting relationship with the Universal Studios brand of theme parks, starring in his own attraction, which is also located at Universal Studios Florida.

This ride, called Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, is a motion-simulator experience. While fun, the ride itself has been heavily criticized over the years, mostly due to guests growing tired of screen-based experiences . The attraction opened in 2017, replacing  Twister… Ride It Out, an attraction based on Twister  (1996).

What do you think about Jimmy Fallon and Universal Studios?

News and Review: Moscow Mule Mocktail Float at Sprinkles in Disney Springs in July

By AJ and the DFB Team Leave a Comment

You guys! Run! Run to Sprinkles right now!

Because in addition to selling awesome Cupcakes  and Frosting Shots and Cookie/Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches , for the month of July, Sprinkles is also serving up truly refreshing Moscow Mule Mocktail Floats !

That’s right. We’ve all come to know and love Sprinkles in Disney Springs, with its cheerful decor and hyper-cool Cupcake ATM . But we’ve discovered that it’s so much more than a sunny place to grab a cupcake.

In fact, we’ve devoured just about everything on the menu with reckless abandon, stopping in to see what’s new in the dessert case and on the menu every chance we get. Because Sprinkles is always cooking up (or churning out!) something new and interesting. Back in May, they offered a Margarita Cupcake , which we thoroughly enjoyed.

So when we saw that they were offering Moscow Mule Mocktail Floats , we ordered one STAT!
