Inglewood, CA, November 4, 2022 –  Taylor Swift   has added a third show in Los Angeles, CA at  SoFi Stadium  on  August 3, 2023 , in addition to the previously announced August 4 and 5, 2023 dates. Taylor will be supported by  HAIM ,   and  Gracie Abrams  on  Thursday, August 3 ,  HAIM , and  Owenn  on  Friday, August 4 , and  HAIM , and  GAYLE  on  Saturday, August 5 .  Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour  will be presented by Capital One and produced by Taylor Swift Touring and promoted by the Messina Touring Group (MTG). 

To ensure tickets to  Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour   get into the hands of fans, Taylor Swift has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program.  Fans can register  HERE   for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan starting now through Wednesday, November 9 at 11:59PM ET. Registered fans who receive a code will have exclusive access to purchase tickets on Tuesday, November 15 starting at 10AM local venue time. Only fans that have received a unique code will have the chance to purchase tickets starting at $49 up to $449. In addition, VIP packages will start at $199 up to $899 on a first come, first served basis. 

Previous Lover Fest Verified Fan purchasers will receive preferred access to participate in the TaylorSwiftTix Presale. Please make sure that you register with the same Ticketmaster Account as your Lover Fest purchase.  Public on-sale begins Friday, November 18 at 10AM local venue time. Registration for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan is open now at  https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/TaylorSwiftTix .

In addition, through Capital One’s multi-year partnership with Taylor Swift, an exclusive premium allocation of tickets has been set aside for Capital One cardholders, who will have priority access to purchase tickets on November 15 th  at 2PM local venue time through November 17 th  at 10PM local venue time or until supplies last.

About Gracie Abrams

Since making her debut with “Mean It” in October 2019, Gracie Abrams has emerged as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation.  She is a consummate songwriter who names iconic figures like Joni Mitchell and Taylor Swift as her most formative influences.  

With the arrival of her debut project  minor  in summer 2020, she received glowing reviews from the likes of Pigeons & Planes, i-D, Vogue and NME. Executive-produced by Blake Slatkin — and also made with leading producers like Joel Little and benny blanco-  minor  features her beloved singles, “21,” and “I miss you, I’m sorry”.  

In November 2021, Abrams returned with  This Is What It Feels Like , a 12-track project exploring such complex emotional experiences as self-betrayal, insecurity, and failed attempts at connection.  Abrams took on a greater role in the production process here, working with The National’s Aaron Dessner, Joel Little and Blake Slatkin to dream up each track.

 Abrams kicked off 2022 with a headline tour of North America followed by a support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s tour.  She reconnected with Dessner to release two songs this year – “Block me out” and “Difficult” – and continues to work on her debut album.

HAIM are sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, hailing from Los Angeles, CA. The band made history as the first all-female rock group to be nominated for GRAMMY® Album of The Year with their third album, ‘Women In Music Pt. III.’ The album received two GRAMMY® nominations, the band’s single “The Steps” was nominated for ‘Best Rock Performance.’  The band again made history winning a Brit Award for Best International Group, the first time an all-female act has won this award since Destiny’s Child in 2002.  ‘Women In Music Pt. The Renaissance has reached Los Angeles.

Four months after it launched in Europe and immediately took over social media, Beyoncé’s blockbuster Renaissance world tour begins a sold-out, three-night stand at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium on Friday. The pop superstar’s first solo outing since the Formation tour in 2016, Beyoncé’s latest live spectacle comes behind last year’s “ Renaissance ” album, her loving and meticulous ode to the Black and queer pioneers of half a century’s worth of dance music.

Reports from the road promise a high-tech, costume-heavy 2½-hour show in which the singer — after warming up with a series of R&B ballads — performs the songs from “Renaissance” in order with older tunes and covers interspersed among them. Close followers of the tour on TikTok also know to look out for onstage appearances by Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and for the so-called mute challenge , in which the crowd is supposed to go silent at a particular point in the song “Energy.” (Another recurring feature: Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, who’s been spotted in the audience at more than a few gigs alongside the likes of Paul McCartney, Frank Ocean, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion.)

The SoFi dates, which come as the tour enters its final weeks — and as its gross proceeds approach a half-billion dollars, according to Billboard — could prove especially splashy: Ahead of her 42nd birthday on Monday, Beyoncé has asked concertgoers to wear their “most fabulous silver fashions” to celebrate “Virgo season together in the house of chrome.”

The Times’ Mikael Wood and August Brown are at SoFi for opening night and will provide live updates from the show as it happens.

7:15 p.m. Greetings from the (very) early shift at SoFi, where CeCe Peniston is pumping on the sound system and everyone seems to have obeyed Bey’s command to wear silver in honor of her triumphant Virgo season. I heard war stories of hours-long traffic jams for Taylor Swift’s Eras shows, so I took Metro to the stadium, which was relatively smooth sailing on the 212 bus. So far, the mood is pretty composed, but once all those fans’ tequila shots from the street vendors kick in (will we get “Drunk in Love” on this stop?), it’ll ramp up in short order. — August Brown

7:55 p.m. There’s no formal opener on the Renaissance tour, but there is a warm-up act for the Club Renaissance portion of the show: DJ Khaled, who made an extremely loud entrance with “All I Do Is Win.” Nice to see a guy so used to yelling his own name take a more humble billing. — A.B.

8:02 p.m. Can confirm the parking for Renaissance is just as nightmarish as the parking for Eras was! But traffic is far too boring a subject to dwell on as I walk into SoFi amid the beautifully silver-bedecked masses. Between recent gigs by Taylor, Morgan Wallen and Metallica, I feel like I’ve spent as much time in this building this summer as I have anywhere else in L.A. But no other fans can come close to matching the outfits on display tonight. — Mikael Wood

8:14 p.m. DJ Khaled brought a friend with him: 2 Chainz, who just popped out to do his songs “Watch Out” and “I’m Different” and to tell anyone with a birthday that we are most definitely celebrating tonight. Wonder if this cameo portends a special guest or two during Beyoncé’s set… — M.W.

8:22 p.m. As Khaled would say, ANOTHER ONE: Now Wiz Khalifa’s here, zipping through “Young, Wild & Free” and “See You Again.” (Alas, no Charlie Puth.) — M.W.

8:41 p.m. Lil Wayne just rolled up in a bucket hat and giant shorts like a true Zoomer. He was having some mic trouble and didn’t quite get off a full verse before departing. Still, it’s a great Bey bait and switch — why have one opener when you can have everyone open? — A.B.

8:53 p.m. The lights have dimmed and we are approaching Bey o’clock. — M.W.

9:00 p.m. And ... it’s Beyoncé, in ballad mode out of the gate. She’s starting with “Dangerously in Love 2” with an all-silver backing band on a tall riser. No insane outfits, no fireworks, just a statement of intent that this is going to be a long ride, so get cozy. — A.B.

9:01 p.m. Man, can Beyoncé sing. I love the flex of opening the show with a vocal showcase like this. It’s like she’s saying: Yes, we’re gonna have a great time tonight, but first let me remind you of what I learned to do before you had any idea who I was. — M.W.

9:03 p.m. “Flaws and All” is next up. “I’m a train wreck in the morning,” she sings, absolutely perfectly, obviously. We knew this going in, but I love that this show starts on a very slow simmer before the rave. — A.B.

10:51 p.m. What could be a more sumptuous setting for “Plastic Off the Sofa” than the inside of a three-story opalescent clamshell? Bey took it from there right into “Virgo’s Groove,” one of the spiritual centerpieces of the tour and the reason for all the silver in the crowd. — A.B.

10:55 p.m. Shout out to Syd of the Internet, the talented L.A. native who co-wrote and co-produced “Plastic Off the Sofa,” and who’s been making beautiful and wily soul music on a smaller scale in this town for close to a decade. — M.W.

11:07 p.m. She’s back from a break with “Thique” and has made the dancers essentially run a live barre class across a horizontal railing. From my very limited experience in such a setting, that’s a brutal turn this late in the set, but they’re handling it with aplomb. — A.B.

11:14 p.m . “I’m gonna need y’all’s help with this one,” Beyoncé says, and that’s the cue for “Drunk in Love,” a rarity on the Renaissance tour that’s throbbing throughout SoFi right now, as the singer ascends on a platform surrounded by sparks. — M.W.

The Eagles Announce “The Long Goodbye” The Band’s Final Tour

LOS ANGELES , July 6, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — After more than 50 years of touring, and consistently selling out arenas and stadiums worldwide, the Eagles announced today that their upcoming “The Long Goodbye”  will be the band’s final tour.

Thirteen shows will be initially announced. The first set of dates will begin September 7, 2023 , in New York .

The Eagles’ long-time contemporaries and fellow Hall of Famers, Steely Dan,  will be joining these historic shows and commemorating their own 50+ year career.

Presale tickets and VIP packages will be available starting Wednesday, July 12 for all announced shows. The general on-sale will start Friday, July 14 at 10:00 AM local time.

During “The Long Goodbye,” the Eagles – Don Henley , Joe Walsh , Timothy B. Schmit , with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey – will perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands. The tour is expected to continue into 2025.

Over the band’s more than 50 years of touring, the Eagles have performed more than 1,000 concerts around the world, accounting for more than 15 million tickets. Eagles’ tours have consistently ranked in the Top 10 of both concert industry publications, Billboard and Pollstar .

In the Fall of 1971, the Eagles formed, pioneered, and personified a uniquely American musical style blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop sensibilities, and would go onto become one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands of all time.  In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons.

The Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times. They earned six GRAMMY Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their very first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.  Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum.  After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and earned two GRAMMY Awards for “New Kid In Town” and “Hotel California.”

THE CELEBRATION TOUR UPDATED ITINERARY

Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. Excitement has been mounting with Madonna’s post that the North America rescheduled dates would be announced shortly. Today, Live Nation is pleased to confirm that most of the North America dates of Madonna’s Celebration Tour have been rescheduled and will take place immediately following the originally announced UK and Europe dates. Updated itinerary below. Tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates. This includes all dates except Los Angeles and one date in New York due to a venue change, detailed below.  Getting all shows rescheduled was the number one priority. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts a few shows noted below will be canceled. Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future. The Celebration Tour will officially kick off with four sold out shows in London this October, followed by shows across Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands throughout the remainder of 2023.  The North American leg will begin on December 13th in Brooklyn at Barclays Center. In New York, fans holding tickets to the previously scheduled Madison Square Garden concert on August 27th, 2023, will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to the newly added Barclays Center performance on Saturday, December 16th, 2023. Tickets for the original show at MSG will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser by Monday, August 28th. Ticketmaster will then provide all affected fans with a dedicated link and a unique code based on the quality of their previous seat locations to purchase tickets to the new date at Barclays Centre.  Advance sales start Tuesday, August 29th and run through Thursday, August 31st. If tickets remain, they will go on sale to the public starting Friday, September 1st at 10am ET. In Los Angeles, fans holding tickets to the shows previously scheduled at Crypto.com Arena (9/27/23, 9/28/23, 9/30/23 & 10/01/23) and Kia Forum (1/7/24 & 1/8/24) will also have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the new Kia Forum dates prior to the public. Tickets for the original shows in Los Angeles will be automatically refunded to the original purchaser by August 28th. Ticketmaster will provide all affected fans with a dedicated link and a unique code based on the quality of their previous seat locations to purchase tickets for their specific rescheduled event. Advance tickets for all previous Los Angeles ticket holders will begin Tuesday, August 29th and run through Thursday, August 31st. Fans unable to purchase tickets to the corresponding shows will have a second presale opportunity starting Friday, September 1st through Friday, September 8th to purchase tickets to any of the five Kia Forum performances. We had a wonderful time on the Intrepid tour. Our guide Chad was really pleasant and a great organiser. The tour included so many spectacular national parks, the accommodation was excellent and there were plenty of opportunities for hiking.

Wild Western USA

Great tour, but Intrepid should have definitely declared it as a youth tour. If you're older than 25 you're an oldie let alone being in your 30ies, 40ies or older. Nevertheless the organizing was good, you got a lot of freedom though being a guided tour and you get variety of different impressions ranging from crowded cities to total nature.

Just days after Nelly Korda clamored for a platform on which she and her fellow pros can showcase their talents, the LPGA Tour heads to the biggest stage of them all: Hollywood. The sixth edition of the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro gets underway on Thursday at Wilshire Country Club, nestled in the heart of Los Angeles. Here's a look at what you need to know about the Tour’s return to the City of Angels.

The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro has attracted a strong field of 144 players, which includes 17 of the top 25 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. And while Nelly Korda made easy work of last week’s venue at The Club at Carlton Woods, many of the world’s top-ranked players failed to advance to the weekend and are teeing it up in Hollywood looking for a bounce-back. Rose Zhang, Danielle Kang and Jin Young Ko are among those who didn’t play the weekend in Houston and are poised to compete this week. Both Zhang, who is making her tournament debut, and Kang, grew up in the Los Angeles area. Ko will make just her fourth start of the season as she’s had a limited playing schedule this year.

The field also features past champions Moriya Jutanugarn (2018), Minjee Lee (2019), Nasa Hataoka (2022) and Hannah Green (2023). Three sponsor exemptions were extended to Emma Talley, who picked the first top-five finish of her career in L.A. in 2018, Muni He who considers Wilshire Country Club one of her home courses and Yu-Sang Hou, who is splitting her time playing both the LPGA and Epson Tours in 2024.

Hannah Green Defends

Already a winner this season on the LPGA Tour, Hannah Green returns to Wilshire Country Club seeking a successful title defense for the first time in her LPGA Tour career. Green, who won the HSBC Women’s World Championship earlier this year at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, picked up her third career victory last season in Los Angeles. The Aussie won in thrilling fashion by draining a 25-footer on the 72nd hole to get into a playoff with Aditi Ashok and Xiyu Lin. Green then won with a par on the second extra hole at Wilshire Country Club, a dramatic victory which marked her first win in four years on the LPGA Tour.

Big Bucks Up for Grabs in Hollywood

In 2023, when JM Eagle and Plastpro took over sponsorship of the LPGA’s annual Los Angeles Tour stop, they did so with the commitment to elevate the tournament, hoping to serve as a motivator for other events to follow suit. They immediately doubled the tournament’s purse to $3 million and continued their commitment to women’s golf by increasing the purse again this year to $3.75 million, additionally covering the cost of hotel accommodations for players in the field. The purse of the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro is the largest outside the majors and CME Group Tour Championship.

How to Watch

Golf Channel and Peacock will carry live coverage of the first and second rounds at Wilshire Country Club on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. ET. Third and final round coverage will also air live on Golf Channel and Peacock on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET.

What’s Next?

Following this week’s trip to Hollywood, the Tour takes a one-week hiatus before returning to action with back-to-back weeks in New Jersey for the Cognizant Founder’s Cup, where Jin Young Ko is defending champion, and the Mizuho Americas Open, where Zhang earned her breakout win in 2023.

Shakira is ready to reunite with her “Shewolves” on tour.

After announcing the 2024 tour during her surprise appearance at  Coachella  with Bizarrap, Shakira shared the first slate of tour dates on Tuesday morning. Shakira will start the 14-date trek on Nov. 2 in Palm Desert, California (Acrisure Arena), and includes stops in Los Angeles (Kia Forum), Miami (Kaseya Center), Toronto (Scotiabank Arena), Brooklyn (Barclays Center), Chicago (United Center) and more.

Despite the hiatus, Shakira has kept herself busy in the last two years. In 2023, Shakira won song of the year and best pop song for “Music Sessions Vol. 53” and best urban fusion/performance for “TQG” at the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards. “Music Sessions Vol. 53” also became the Spanish language song with the most streams in a single day in Spotify’s history.

Universal Studios tram crashes, injuring 15 riders

R ebecca Miller was prepared for a killer shark, King Kong and other make-believe frights when she joined the Universal Studios Hollywood backlot tour Saturday evening with her family — what she wasn't expecting was the intrusion of some real-life drama.

Miller, her husband and two children got on one of the park's last trams of the night and were behind a four-car tram that crashed and injured 15 people, who were taken to hospitals with non life-threatening injuries, authorities said. Her family's tram, which they boarded close to 8:30 p.m., had passed the King Kong and T. rex attraction and had just made it to a display of famous movie vehicles when it suddenly stopped.

"We're like, 'Ok, maybe they are having technical difficulties,'" recalled Miller, 39, of Victorville, who was in the first car of her tram train along with park employees. "And then as it went on, it was like, this is a little odd. Then their radios started getting messages and we noticed a whole change in their demeanor."

The Los Angeles County Fire Department received an emergency call from the park shortly after 9 p.m. and responded to the scene.

The last car on the tram ahead of Miller's struck a rail when it was traveling down a hill near a parking structure, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Maria Abal said Saturday evening. "There was some type of issue with the brakes. We don't exactly know what yet," he said.

The park's tram can hold more than 100 people, Abal said, but it was unclear how many were onboard at the time of the incident. The collision caused several passengers to fall out of the car, according to the Sheriff's Department, which provides security at the park.

Universal Studios said Sunday that it understood from authorities that the injuries were minor and it was working with the California Highway Patrol and other agencies to review the accident. It said "safety remains a top priority" and it has resumed the tour with a "modified route" and the reinforcement of "operational and safety protocols."

The Highway Patrol did not provide an update Sunday.

Miller said her family was at the park for an event that drew thousands of Girl Scouts from around the region who were top sellers of cookies in the Scouts' fundraiser, including her 8-year-old daughter Alanna.

She said her family was stuck on the tram until about 10:15 p.m. and stayed at the park, which remained open for the Girls Scouts event.

A passenger on an earlier tram that evening said their vehicle was stopped about 8 p.m. because of smoke and a noxious odor apparently emanating from brake pads. The passengers were transferred to another tram, according to an email sent to The Times.

The Universal Studios tram tour, called the World-Famous Studio Tour, is a signature attraction at the theme park. The park is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the ride beginning next week.

The tour goes behind the scenes of movie sets, including those of "Jaws" and Jordan Peele's "Nope," and offers a look into the last 50 years of Universal films.
