Located along the border of Banff National Park, Marvel Pass has long been a favourite spot for special events and private moments.  The Marvel Pass Tour is our sole tour experience that offers a landing and is highly desirable for unique occasions. The aircraft will touch down at close to 7,200 feet where you will be surrounded by larch trees, turquoise lakes and towering peaks. This spectacular location offers breathtaking vistas which can be the perfect backdrop for marriage proposals, photoshoots or intimate moments of your choosing. You will spend 20 minutes at this private location before reboarding for your return flight back to Canmore.

If booking this tour in the winter, please come suitably dressed as you will be landing in deep snow at high elevation.

This is a private tour for two people. However, if you would like guests to join you, additional seats are available at $410 per person.

• Driving Directions from Banff National Park: Approximately 20-25 minutes via Trans-Canada Highway heading East
• Driving Directions from Calgary, AB: Roughly a one-hour drive via Trans Canada Highway heading West, exit at 91.
• From Banff –  Roam Transit  – Route 3 from Banff to Canmore, getting off at stop “Benchlands Trail Overpass” and a short 15 minute walk to our base.
• Within Canmore – closest stop is Kananaskis Way south (500m) from our base on route 5C. Further details including bus routes and schedule please head to the Roam Transit website.
• For Bus Options from Calgary to Canmore: Visit  On It  Transit Services.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A TOUR?

• Reserve your tour ahead of time to secure your preferred date and time slot.
• REMEMBER: Payment has  NOT   been processed at the time of booking and this will take place upon check-in. Please bring a method of payment with you.
• Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time . This will ensure adequate time for payment, ticket processing and a safety briefing. Late arrivals may have to be rescheduled. If you know you are running late, please give us a call and we will accommodate you as best we can.
• For your convenience, we recommend leaving bags and important documents in your vehicle as they cannot be brought along during the tour. Alternatively, we provide lockers for safely storing all personal belongings.
• To capture the stunning landscapes ensure your camera or smartphone is fully charged and ready to go!

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

In the event that you must cancel your reservation, a minimum notice for any reservation is required:

• A minimum of 3 hours prior to any sightseeing flight
• A minimum of 24 hours prior to any other flight (private charters)

Any cancellations inside of these time frames will result in a 50% non-refundable charge to the credit card used to secure your booking.

In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to notify you an hour before your tour to cancel or reschedule your flight. If you feel the weather may be a factor or are traveling more than an hour to our base, please call before leaving.

We do not charge for tours that are canceled due to weather.

Important Notice: Alpine reserves the right to cancel at any time before or during a flight for weather, maintenance or emergency. In these cases, your reservation will be arranged for another time that day, or another day that may work for you.

ARE THE TOURS ACCESSIBLE?

At Alpine Helicopters, we strive to accommodate all guests to the best of our ability. However, it’s important to note that helicopter tours have certain limitations regarding accessibility due to the nature of the aircraft and operational constraints. Here’s what you need to know:

• Mobility Restrictions: Our helicopters require passengers to climb in and out of the aircraft with assistance from our ground crew. Due to space constraints and safety regulations, individuals with mobility impairments may find it challenging to board and disembark from the helicopter. Our ground crew will assist to the best of their ability to accommodate mobility restrictions
• Seating Arrangements: Our helicopters have limited space, and seating is allocated based on weight distribution for safety reasons. While we will do our best to accommodate specific seating requests, we prioritize safety and weight distribution in our seating arrangements.
• Wheelchair Accessibility: Unfortunately, our helicopters are not equipped to accommodate wheelchairs or mobility devices. Passengers must be able to transfer from their wheelchair to the helicopter seat with assistance from our ground crew.
• Service Animals: Service animals are not permitted in the helicopter but are welcome on the base and building.
• Safety Considerations: For safety reasons, passengers must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided by our crew before and during the flight. This includes wearing appropriate safety restraints and following emergency procedures if necessary.

Our Son of 12 years old went on his own, it was his dream to fly on a helicopter. He could sit next to the pilot! They sell Nice sweaters for reasonable price. Staff is very friendly. Our Son did the 30 min flight.

We had a great experience with Alpine Helicopters! The staff was friendly, safety conscious and organized. Our pilot, Zach, was polite, knowledgeable and gregarious. This was our first helicopter flight as a family and we had an amazing time! The views are breathtaking and it was worth the money. It's not cheap, but the memories are priceless.

Wow!! Took a thirty minute flight from Canmore, that took in Mt Assiniboine , Three Sisters , glaciers and some of the most breathtaking scenery you will ever see. This company was professional from start to finish with a thorough safety briefing . They were flexible in allowing us to change our date and time off flight to allow for good weather that greatly enhanced the experience . Big thank you to Lukas our pilot that put us at ease and helped to point out the main features as we speed along.

We had a great time. We took the first ride out of Canmore with Bailey. That route is much prettier than the route out Kananaskis (behind the casino). But both rides were safe and efficient. Obviously the Rocky Mountains are beautiful and both tours were very informative.

We did a last minute flight around the Three Sisters Mountains and to Mount Assinaboine. The day was almost cloudless, calm and sunny and this trip up into the nature and mountains was spectacular! Words almost fail me and I highly recommend that you take this trip if you are in the area and want an exceptional mountian experience! I will never forget it!

Skiing bride,   additional informatio n - for the past 14 years i have done almost all of alpine helicopters photography and have logged hundreds of flight hours in various mountain ranges all over western canada. my experience working around helicopters,  familiarity with the heli-wedding locations. and experience as a guide (acmg member), ensures a lot of different photo angles and a very efficient shoot where you will receive a wide variety of images to showcase your special day. noel rogers is the only professional wedding photographer living in the banff/canmore area who is also a guide and member of the association of canadian mountain guides   with a perfect safety record and an excellent relationship with the pilots you can put your trust in someone who has the experience to keep things safe while capturing the wedding photos you have always dreamed of,   - additional photography time and shooting locations are available on request. many couples like to upgrade their heli-wedding package with extra time for portraits at one of their favorite mountains or lakes in the area after we land. this is a great way to get more family and friends involved in your photos. limited space in the helicopter means that sometimes not everyone you want with you is able to go. booking extra time after the wedding insures no one will be left out. extra shooting time for heli wedding clients is $400.00 per hour. (discounted from the usual $500.),   - there are only a few select locations that alpine helicopters will drop clients off. maps, location details, and photographs from past weddings will be provided so you can choose what site works best for your group. you will receive advice and explanations of what you can expect with each area from a photographer who has been during all types of weather conditions.     ,   - would you like to fill all of the seats in the helicopter with loved ones and have no room for a photographer on the flight no problem, i am a certified acmg hiking guide  and have hiked into all of the heli-wedding locations that are offered several times and am very familiar with the terrain. for an extra fee i will hike into the location of your choosing with my camera gear and meet you there. due to avalanche hazard this option is only available may-october. ,  - helicopter weddings are offered year round but tend to book out quickly. there are a limited amount that can be sold each year because of the logistics of flying multiple parties in the same day and alpine helicopters busy schedule. it is best to contact and inquire as soon as possible if considering this option. i am more than happy to give a free quote or answer any questions you may have.,   - options for extra flight time and extended tours are available., included in every heli-wedding package,   - no limit on the number of finished edited photographs you will receive. you will get every image that turns out, not just a select pre-determined amount. don't miss out on any special moments. i prefer to edit everything and then let you pick and choose what you like to print or share with family and friends. minimum photo numbers will be provided and guaranteed in your wedding contract.   - timely service and quick turn around time on your finished photo edits. to ensure quality i do all of the post processing and editing myself. typical wait time for your high resolution set would be around 3-4 weeks in the busy summer months and 2-3 weeks in the winter season. faster service and rush orders are available. i personally guarantee quoted editing times. this information is included in the mandatory wedding contract.    - recommendations and contact information for the best professionals in the area. save time and make finding the right accommodations, best local tours, restaurants, caterers, hair & make up, florists, chauffeurs or any other business easy to find.  i can easily set up any reservation in the area that you may need. i take pride in only dealing with the best businesses in the area and will gladly pass that information on to you.,   - i only take one booking a day. you do not have to worry about things running late or not being on an exact schedule. i am flexible and understand things do not always go as planned, this is why i never double book jobs on the same day. you will have my full attention and commitment and not have to worry about your photographer rushing off to another job. this is a very important factor to consider with heli-weddings. due to the sometimes unpredictable weather in the mountains schedules sometimes have to be adjusted ,   - options for designing and printing photo albums for friends and family  - a bouquet of flowers  ,   - high resolution edits that are ready for print - your marriage license & certificate,   - you will receive 10-15 preview high resolution photo edits within 48hrs or your ceremony,   - i like to get to know all of my clients. an in person, over the phone, or scype/zoom, consultation to discuss all details of your shoot and plan out a shot list to ensure you end up with exactly what you want and expect is included in every wedding package. i am always available to answer questions ,   included with every wedding booking is the option for a discounted engagement or family portrait shoot. contact for more information regarding this. , no charge for travel with-in banff national park, canmore, kananaskis, lake louise, and the columbia valley. .
