National Walleye Tour

The 2023 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s National Walleye Tour (NWT) presented by Progressive will host its final regular season tournament on the St. Mary’s River in Sault Ste. Marie, MI on July 27-28.
Registration and entry fees for Pro-Anglers will close on FRIDAY, JULY 14 at the end of the business day. As 2023 has seen a record turnout in co-angler entries into the season, all Pro-Anglers need to submit their entries as soon as possible to confirm their spot and their Co-Anglers into the tournament.
Registration and rules meeting will be held at the Kewadin Casino Wednesday, July 26th. On-site check-in times open at 3 pm and close at 5 pm, with the meeting taking place at 5:15 pm.
Launch and weigh-in will take place at Anne Osborn Boat Launch 1125 Riverside Drive, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Take-off will begin at 7 am or the first safe light. Weigh-in begins at 3 pm.
Up for grabs at this event is a 2023 Triton 206 Fishhunter w/ 225 Mercury Pro XS plus $15,000 cash to the winning Pro-Angler. The winning Co-Angler will pocket $7,500. In addition, numerous contingency bonuses are available to qualifying Pro- and Co-Anglers.

Walleye National Tour comes to South Dakota
A major national fishing tournament is happening in South Dakota.
The National Walleye Tour event is Thursday and Friday at Lake Francis Case near Pickstown. It’s the town’s first time hosting the event.
South Dakota native Duane Hjelm is currently in third place in the Progressive Angler of the Year race, according to the organization.
Over a hundred professional anglers are signed up to fish at this event. They are competing for a $15,000 cash prize.
The full field will fish each day, with the winner being determined by cumulative weight.

National Walleye Tour Announces 2024 Schedule
The National Walleye Tour (NWT) has announced the 2024 season schedule. This schedule will include four regular-season events, as well as a championship for the top-40 qualifiers on both the professional and co-angler side.
The 2024 season begins on Lake Erie, fishing out of Port Clinton, Ohio. Anglers will then head to Red Wing, Minnesota, to fish the Mississippi River. The mid-summer will see a stop at Oconto, Wisconsin, fishing the Bay of Green Bay. The regular season will then conclude on Lake Sakakawea in Garrison, North Dakota.
The top-40 pro and co-anglers will then head to the championship on Lake Huron, fishing out of Oscoda, Michigan.
The complete schedule includes:
- April 18-19: Lake Erie-Port Clinton, Ohio
- May 23-24: Mississippi River-Red Wing, Minnesota
- June 20-21: Bay of Green Bay-Oconto, Wisconsin
- August 1-2: Lake Sakakawea-Garrison, North Dakota
- September 4-6: Lake Huron-Oscoda, Michigan (Championship)
“We’ve worked hard to secure a solid schedule in 2024 and we feel like the anglers will once again be able to show their skills as professionals,” said Jeff Kelm, NWT Tournament Director. “It sets up to be a record year for the NWT.”
Registration dates will be announced following the conclusion of the 2023 NWT Championship. Additional information, such as contingency programs, championship qualifications, angler of the year program, and payout for the 2024 season.

2024 National Walleye Tour Schedule Announcement!
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (July 31, 2023) – With the final 2023 regular season event just finishing up, it’s now time for walleye anglers to grab their calendars and save the dates for the 2024 National Walleye Tour Season.
Looking forward into 2024, The National Walleye Tour and Outdoor Team Works is excited to officially announce the 2024 Schedule. The schedule will once again feature four regular-season events on some of the best tournament walleye fisheries at the time of year when the walleye should be in that area as well as a championship event for the top 40 qualifiers.
The 2024 season will kick off on Lake Erie, at Port Clinton, Ohio and the season ending championship for the top 40 Pros and Co-Anglers will be held on Lake Huron. Sandwiched in between those locations are stops in Red Wing, MN on the Mississippi River, Bay of Green Bay at Oconto, WI and Lake Sakakawea in Garrison, ND.
