'Home from home' Environment

We understand the worries and anxieties that parents may feel as their children enter into child care, and we are here to support parents and children throughout this emotional transition as they get settled. When your child joins us at Safari Childcare, they will be allocated a named key person who will help them settle into their new environment. Before your little one begins their journey with us,  your child’s key person will speak with you to ensure that you have all of the vital information that you will need as you begin your journey with us. This will also act as a main point of contact should you have any questions about your child’s development and learning here at Safari.

With this in mind, Safari Childcare is proud to offer our parents the service of iWatch. iWatch enables parents to securely watch your child through live CCTV images, and enables you to check on your child throughout the day while they are in our nursery! To use this service, you’ll be given a unique login and password which will enable you to view your child as they explore, learn and grow during their day. Early years register.

Providers on the Early Years Register will normally be inspected at least once within a 6-year window.

We will prioritise the first inspection of newly registered providers on the Early Years register. This will normally be within 30 months of their registration date.

Good or outstanding - We will inspect them at least once within a 6-year window from their last inspection.

Requires improvement - We usually re-inspect all childminders, pre-school provision and nursery provision within 12 months of the latest inspection.

Inadequate - We re-inspect all provision within six months of the latest inspection.

Group provision will normally receive a telephone call at around midday on the working day before the start of the inspection.

Group providers that do not operate regularly, will usually receive a call no more than five days before the inspection.

We can also inspect without notice.

Childcare Register

Each year, we inspect 1 in 10 of those who are only on the Childcare Register.

We do not inspect any provider on the Childcare Register until it has been registered for at least 3 months unless we receive information about possible non-compliance.

We will usually only inspect a provider on the Childcare Register once in any 12-month period unless we receive concerns.

For inspections of providers of childcare on domestic premises that operate regularly, we will carry out an unannounced inspection.

For all other inspections (childminders, nannies and childcare on non-domestic premises and childcare on domestic premises that does not operate regularly), we give no more than five days’ notice.

My son has attended Safari nursery since august 2021. Due to being a lockdown baby and unable to attend many social settings the nursery have really helped with this and in the last few months especially we have seen him come on leaps and bounds. Any issues we have had Safari have worked with us to resolve them quickly, and I cannot speak highly enough of his key person and other regular staff within his room, they are always keeping us updated and reassuring us in terms of any concerns we may have about his development etc. we have particularly noticed his social skills, eating skills and speech have come on really really well and I put this down mostly to his attendance at nursery. my son now looks forward to going and Is always very happy when I go and pick him up. I would highly recommend safari childcare.

My daughter has just started going here. All the staff have been so friendly, welcoming and patient with us from the start. They truly care for the children and that shows. My daughter now can’t wait to go in and I’m so grateful for them. The rooms are clean and as tidy as they can be with toddlers running around! There is so much for the children to do in their rooms and they have a big garden space with lots of equipment for all ages. Highly recommend.

The staff at Safari are so friendly and welcoming. They have made my little ones experience at nursery so positive, he loves going and has a great relationship with his key workers and friends. He loves the activities, exploration and fun he has in each session and his key worker always has time for us at the end of each day to let us know how he’s got on that day full of positive praise and next steps when needed.

MONKEY PUZZLE DAY NURSERY REVIEWS

Our little boy absolutely loves going to this Nursery. The communication is great and we love seeing the regular daily updates. He has so much stimulation and is coming on leaps and bounds! They have taken our little boy’s allergies very seriously and have put care plans and safety nets in place. The staff are so friendly and supportive. I would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle Stanway, Colchester.

Our daughter has really enjoyed her time with Monkey Puzzle. The team are fantastic & couldn't be more helpful. Everything possible done to prepare young ones for primary school & a really lovely graduation ceremony & party to finish.

BANANA MOON DAY NURSERY REVIEWS

I find Banana Moon to be extremely welcoming and safe. Child safety is clearly a priority. Various safety measures are taken and you have no idea how safe this makes me feel. The teachers are lovely and my son loves them. In the morning, when we get ready to go to the nursery he always smiles and often repeats the names of the teachers during the day. Also, I find the app interesting with which we receive all communications promptly and regular updates on our son's day, his progress, and everything we need to know. I recommend it without hesitation to all parents looking for a nursery that makes them feel peaceful.

Absolutely love this nursery and couldn't recommend enough. Both my boys attend and genuinely are so happy to see the ladies in their rooms in the morning. My youngest has needed a little extra help with certain things recently and they have been amazing and the change in him has been amazing and they have played a huge part in that. They are caring and communication is great too. Im so glad we found this nursery.

My little boy has just started at banana moons and can’t wait to go , he is so happy when we leave him and all the staff are so helpful and professional.
