First, open up Google Chrome, go to your Google Account page, and log in if you haven't already. If you have multiple accounts on one device, use your default Google account , though you can do this with any Google account.

Click Security from the left-hand tab, scroll down to Your connections to third-party apps and services section, and click See all connections . Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + F to find it quicker.

Click on the gear icon on the top-right of the Third-party apps and services section. You will see a toggle in the Sign in with Google settings section. Click the toggle, and the sign-in prompt will no longer appear on third-party sites.

Initially, you could stop pop-up prompts from the Signing in to other sites section before being moved.

2. Change Google Chrome Settings

Alternatively, you can control pop-ups and redirects within your Chrome settings. For this approach, click on the Ellipsis menu (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner, and click on Settings from the dropdown menu.

From the left-hand tab, click on Privacy and security and then click on Site settings . Here, scroll down until you find the Pop-ups and redirects section.

You can allow sites to send you pop-ups and use redirects or not with the radio buttons. Additionally, you can customize the behaviors to allow websites you want pop-ups to appear and use redirects by clicking the Add button and the website link.

Will This Affect Your Google Account?

With the prompt gone, you may question if it will affect your Google account. Stopping the prompt won't affect you when you try to log into a website or app with your Google account.

While a similar process, this is different from turning off Chrome notifications , which can also be tiresome when they appear on your screen.

• If you don't (or don't want to) have uBlock or any other 3rd party extension, and would like to accomplish using built-in OS tools, and are willing to go extreme on this, you can add 0.0.0.0 accounts.google.com to your hosts file, it's /etc/hosts on a Mac and C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts on Windows. How do I stop google pop up asking me to sign in when I try to use safari

When I try to sign into Safari google pops up asking me to sign in. I’ve tried going to my google account and doing the instructions I’ve copied bellow but it hasn’t worked. I’m not particularly good with technology and am really struggling with this so hopefully someone can help.

My problem is: When I open certain websites (for example Redfin), a popup appears on each page telling me to “Use your Google Account to Sign In”. I never sign in with my google account and have already disabled this function from all of my google accounts. I also toggled off the switch on all of my google accounts that enables google to notify me to sign in using my google account. Despite all my efforts, the popups still appear on each page of particular websites (not all websites), and I have to close the popups continually to read the page. Why isn’t safari blocking these google popups? Isn’t there any solution to stop these google popups appearing in websites? 10492 6

Stay signed in or out of your Google Account

When you stay signed in to your account, you can use Google services soon as you open them. For example, you can quickly check your email in Gmail or see your past searches in Chrome.

If Google keeps signing you out, here are some steps you can try:

• Make sure cookies are turned on . Some antivirus or related software may delete your cookies.
• If your cookies are turned on, clear your browser's cache . Note : While deleting your cookies may resolve the problem, it will also remove your saved settings for sites you've visited.
• Make sure you’re using the latest version of your browser.
• Use a browser like Chrome to remember passwords for you.
• If you use 2-Step Verification, add trusted computers .

Stay signed out

When you sign in to your Google Account, you'll stay signed in until you sign out.

If you're using a public computer or someone else's device:

• Browse in private .
• When you’re done, close all private browsing windows. You'll be automatically signed out.

Stay signed out of non-Google accounts

These tips can help you stop non-Google accounts from automatically signing you in.

• Turn off saved passwords in Google Chrome , Mozilla Firefox , and Windows Internet Explorer . Make sure your recovery info is updated for your Google Account and other services you use.
• Clear your browser's cache and cookies . Note : While deleting your cookies may resolve the problem, it will remove your saved settings for sites you've visited.

Sign out of someone else’s device

Important: If your password is saved to someone else’s device, change your password and make sure you’re signed out of their device . That way, someone else won’t be able to sign in to your account.

• Go to your Google Account .
• On the left navigation panel, click Security .
• On the Your devices panel, click Manage devices .
• Select a device.
• Click  Remove .
