WHAT IS SIX THE MUSICAL ABOUT?

Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.

All this time They’ve been just one word in a stupid rhyme So they picked up a pen and a microphone History’s about to get overthrown.

From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII finally take the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of her-storical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of sisterly sass-itude.  Powered by an all-female band and with songs including Ex-Wives, Haus of Holbein and Don’t Lose Ur Head.

The modern retelling of King Henry VIII's six wives turned divas had its humble beginnings in 2017 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it was presented by history-loving Cambridge students. The concept of the show was born in a poetry class. As research for the show, Marlow read  Antonia Fraser ‘s “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” whilst Moss watched  Lucy Worsley ‘s documentary series  Six Wives.

Since making its professional debut, the musical has crossed the pond to Broadway. The West End production has been nominated for 5 Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best Musical, whilst the Broadway production was nominated for two Drama League Awards.

Now the phenomenal SIX is ready to embark on its first UK tour bringing this piece of uplifting musical theatre to a venue near you…

Divorced. Beheaded. LIVE in concert!

Billie Eilish announces six London dates as part of 2025 European tour

Billie Eilish has announced a new tour in support of her latest album with six dates in London for 2025.

The Hit Me Hard And Soft tour, named after her latest record, begins with a North American leg in September at Centre Videotron in Quebec, Canada.

The dates in the US and Canada run until December, before the 22-year-old US singer heads to Australia in February 2025 ahead of her European dates starting in April at Sweden’s Avicii Arena in Stockholm.

Eilish will then play Glasgow’s OVO Hydro arena from July 7 to July 8 next year before six dates at London’s O2 Arena from July 10.

She will then move to Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena for four dates from July 19 and then will head to Ireland to perform at Dublin’s 3Arena from July 26 to 27.

Fans are encouraged to take “sustainable transport” during the tour, the announcement from Live Nation said.

Eilish also continues to partner with the plant-based food organisation Support + Feed and environmental non-profit organisation REVERB.

The concerts will reduce “greenhouse gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, supporting climate action, and updating concession offerings to promote and encourage plant-based food options with Support + Feed”.

Eco-Villages from REVERB are also set to be put up in two locations during the show and there will be plant-based food drives, with Support + Feed and fans, to gather goods to distribute to local communities.

The third studio record of Eilish comes out on May 17 and her website says the new body of work should be listened to chronologically as it “hits you hard and soft both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way”.

The album cover features the double Oscar -winner on her back underwater with a door open above her.

Eilish’s last album was 2021’s Happier Than Ever, and her debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released in 2019.

Earlier this year, she won a best original song Oscar gong for Barbie song What Was I Made For? at the Academy Awards. It follows on from her picking up the same prize for No Time To Die, from the James Bond film of the same name.

General ticket go on-sale for the tour on Friday, May 3

Ryan Gosling gives subtle shoutout to Eva Mendes on press tour with T-shirt

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

This Ken is wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Ryan Gosling showed his support for Eva Mendes’ career during an interview with the UK’s Hits Radio on Monday, choosing to wear a shirt that promoted his partner’s upcoming project as he chatted about his own new movie.

The “Barbie” actor, 43, sported an ivory tee reading “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries” — the title of the Skura Sponge owner’s debut children’s book ($20) — as he sat next to his “The Fall Guy” co-star, Emily Blunt, to chat about their action comedy.

Ryan Gosling

The illustrated book, which releases September 17, tells “the story of a little girl facing endless scary worries” at bedtime and how her mother helps her overcome them.

While Mendes, 50, has been taking a break from acting, she’s now adding “author” to her résumé, telling People , “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries is a love letter to my kids and yours.”

This isn’t the first time the “Notebook” actor has worn a tribute to his longtime love while promoting one of his films; he wore an “E” necklace at the “Barbie” premiere in Los Angeles last summer.

And the “Hitch” star is just as supportive of Gosling’s career, showing off a Ken T-shirt with her partner’s photo on it while the actor promoted “Barbie” last summer.

While the notoriously private couple has never officially confirmed that they’re married, Mendes did call the “La La Land” star her “husband” during a November 2022 interview.

She also showed off a  tattoo tribute  to Gosling in 2022 that reads “de gosling,” hinting that she might have added Gosling’s last name to hers by adding “de,” meaning “of” in Spanish.

London-based Billie Eilish fans, we’ve got  mahoosive news. Not only has Billie announced a brand-new album of music, she has also today (April 29) revealed a vast multi-continent tour that, excitingly, will stop by London for several ginormous shows.

Billie will play six shows at London’s O2 Arena in summer 2025, as part of a tour spanning North America, Australia and Europe. She’s supporting her new album Hit Me Hard and Soft , which will released on May 17 2024.

The tour, appropriately, will be called Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour. It’ll kick off in Canada in September 2024 and get around to the UK in July 2025. Want to get tickets? Here’s everything you need to know.

R&B legend devastates fans by announcing early retirement in ‘5 or 6 years’

Mary J Blige

Mary J Blige has confirmed that she plans to officially retire from music in the next few years.

The 53-year-old has been in the industry for more than 35 years and earned the title queen of Hip-Hop Soul thanks to songs including Family Drama, Just Fine and Be Without You.

Who could forget her award-winning Super Bowl Halftime show performance in 2022, alongside Dr Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg?

Thanks to her incredible success, she will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame later this year, alongside Cher and Ozzy Osbourne.

But, in a new interview with Extra, she revealed that she has set her sights on stepping back from the microphone for good.

‘Right now, I’m definitely going to do some more acting and I’m definitely going to retire [from music] in five or six years,’ she told Extra .

Mary J Blige

‘I’m still doing what I’m doing but not as often as I was doing it because I don’t have to now.’

‘At this very moment, with this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, it is the most amazing thing,’ she added of her upcoming induction into the Hall of Fame.

‘It is in a class by itself.’

Mary signed her first record deal with Uptown in 1988 and blessed us with her debut album, What’s The 411? four years later.

Mary J Blige

She followed this up with My Life, Share My World, Mary and No More Drama.

Throughout her career, she has received 38 Grammy nominations and nine wins, including best R&B album for The Breakthrough, and best R&B song for Be Without You.

Mary’s latest album came in 2022 with the release of Good Morning Gorgeous, which racked up two Grammy nominations.

She has also enjoyed a hugely successful stint in front of the camera thanks to roles in The Umbrella Academy , Bower Book II: Ghost, How To Get Away With Murder and Empire.

Her part as Florence Jackson in 2017’s Mudbound was met with critical acclaim, earning her an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress, as well as a Golden Globe nod in the same category.

Despite being in the spotlight for decades, she is set to add another title to her name later this year, as she is inducted into the Hall of Fame.

As well as this, Mary is due to perform at the ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 19.

Appearing on the Tamron Hall Show, she said of the achievement: ‘I’m still trying to process this whole thing. It’s a big deal and I’m just so grateful because I know it didn’t have to be this way, but it is this way.

‘I give all the credit to God because I don’t even know what else to do with it. It’s just so humbling. What am I supposed to do, bust through the roof? I don’t know what to do except be grateful and be thankful.

‘I got the news from people in my camp and I was grateful for the nomination because I was next to Cher, Mariah Carey and Sade, all of these amazing women.’
