The Weeknd has finally detailed the new dates for his long-postponed North American tour, with the singer set to embark on his first-ever stadium tour this summer.

The first leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour begins July 8 with a hometown gig at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. After that, Abel Tesfaye will return to the football stadium confines of his Super Bowl halftime performance for 17 more shows at NFL venues spanning from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.

The Weeknd’s trek, then the After Hours World Tour, was originally set for 2020  and then  postponed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic; it was next rescheduled for early 2022 before the Weeknd opted to push the dates back again in order to bring his live experience to football stadiums.

Now dubbed the After Hours Til Dawn tour to incorporate his new LP Dawn FM , the first leg of the jaunt will now also feature Doja Cat as special guest. Check out the Weeknd’s site for ticket information.

The singer also launched his XO humanitarian fund in conjunction with the United Nations World Food Programme. The singer will donate one dollar from each ticket in addition to a $500,000 donation from the singer and an additional $1 million donation from World Food Program USA.

The Weeknd Announces 2022 North American Tour

The Weeknd has announced a 2022 tour in support of his most recent albums, Dawn FM and 2020’s After Hours . The first leg of the trek will see him perform concerts in stadia across the United States and Canada. The tour will feature special guest Doja Cat . According to a press release, there will be more concerts in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East announced soon. Find the dates for the first leg below.

The Weeknd has also partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to launch the XO Humanitarian Fund, Powered by World Food Programme. The fund works toward ending the global hunger crisis. The Weeknd has donated $500,000 to the fund, according to a press release, and plans to contribute an additional $1 from each tour ticket sold. “The goal with this fund is to provide immediate life-saving support to people who are on the brink of starvation,” the Weeknd said in a statement. “I’m so thankful to have WFP as a partner and to further expand our reach to those who need it most.”

Last year, the Weeknd postponed his tour for the third time due to the pandemic . When explaining his reasons for doing so, the Weeknd promised the new version of the tour would be “something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums.”

After announcing the end of his After Hours era with “ Take My Breath ” last summer, the Weeknd revealed Dawn FM just a few days before its arrival last month. Swedish House Mafia remixed “ Sacrifice ” for an “Alternate World” edition of the project, which also included the joint track “ Moth to a Flame ” and Agents of Time’s remix of “Take My Breath.”

The Weeknd has been a busy collaborator in recent months, as well, appearing on new tracks with FKA twigs , Post Malone , and Rosalía , plus a posthumous release from Aaliyah . He unveiled his new immersive television special, The Weeknd x The Dawn FM Experience , through Prime Video in February

The Weeknd To Embark On First Ever Global Stadium Tour

INGLEWOOD, CA (March 3, 2022) – The After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour will kick off up north in The Weeknd’s hometown of Toronto with stops at iconic U.S. stadiums before wrapping Friday, September 2nd at SoFi Stadium. The tour is produced by Live Nation. This is the first leg of The Weeknd’s massive world tour, with additional dates in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa & Middle East to be announced soon. Tickets for the North American dates go on sale beginning Thursday, March 10th at 10am local time via TheWeeknd.com/tour. Fans who previously had tickets for the After Hours arena tour in North America will have access to a special presale starting March 4th, and will receive an email prior to that date directly with more information. Verizon will offer an exclusive presale for The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour in the U.S through the customer loyalty program Verizon Up. Members will have first access to purchase presale tickets for select shows beginning Monday, March 7th at 10:00AM local time, through Wednesday, March 9th at 10:00PM local time. The Weeknd brings Doja Cat into the mix for After Hours Til Dawn world tour

The Weeknd  will be bringing his last two projects to life with the announcement of his upcoming world tour.

The After Hours Til Dawn stadium tour will be the Canadian pop star's first global tour, after the originally planned After Hours tour was delayed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Grammy-nominated Doja Cat will be joining the "Dawn FM" artist for the North American leg which includes 18 shows beginning with a July performance in his hometown of Toronto at Rogers Centre and ending in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium in September. 

It’s expected to be a high-concept, high-tech production in keeping with the themes explored in the new album “Dawn FM” and its accompanying Amazon Prime special, exploring a post-pandemic escape from purgatory.

The full public on-sale starts at 10 a.m. March 10 through Ticketmaster .

The Weeknd appeared set to announce the tour a week ago but pulled the plug as world attention turned to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He tweeted on Feb. 24 : “unfortunately i’m just now seeing what’s happening with the conflict and will pause on tomorrow’s announcement. i pray for everyone's safety."

The Weeknd has announced the North American leg of his highly anticipated “After Hours Til Dawn” world stadium tour.

Beginning July 8th in Toronto, The Week will embark on an 18-city jaunt that will see him perform at some of the biggest stadiums in the US and Canada.

Tickets for the North American dates go on sale beginning Thursday, March 10th at 10am local time via Ticketmaster .

Fans who previously had tickets for the After Hours arena tour in North America will have access to a special presale starting March 4th, and will receive an email prior to that date directly with more information.

“The After Hours Tour” was originally supposed to take place in Summer 2021, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The tour was rescheduled for early 2022, but the singer chose to push back those dates due to “to constraints of arenas and the desire to do something bigger and special for fans that will require stadiums.”

According to a press release, this is the first leg of The Weeknd’s world tour, with additional dates in Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, and Middle East to be announced soon.

This review might not be completely objective as Abel has been my favourite singer for a few years now. However, I can definitely admit the Starboy tour date in Paris was the best pop concert I've been to this year. Even though some songs could have been put out of the tracklist, he mostly sang his catchiest songs of his career, no matter the era. He has great, or should I say, tremendous energy as he continuously sang twenty-something songs with no pause in between. He has no trouble reaching high notes live, his voice sounding even more heavenly in real life. That night, he invited Travis Scott on stage who pumped up the crowd more than him, which is a shame and showcases very well his lack of success and recognition in France, yet, in a sold out stadium. Most people actually didn't even know his real name or the lyrics of his songs ! I would recommend any "real fan" who has known him for a while or who likes his last album a lot to go to a Starboy tour date. I promise you, you won't regret it.

The concert was absolutely stunning. A starship was used and the lights were coordinated very well. Abel sang amazingly in person and I loved jumping up and down screaming with other members of the audience while he sang. The concert was truly magical and I enjoyed every second Abel stood on stage.

As for the other singers who appeared on stage, I was very satisfied with their singing as well. They did an amazing job and captured the entire audience. In between Abel's music, the other singers such as Lil Uzi and 6lack played their hits on stage and the whole crowd became even more alive. If I the concert played out any other way, I'm sure I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as this concert.

The Weeknd is showing the world how to put on a show.

Back in July 2022, The Weeknd kicked off his After Hours Til Dawn Tour. Through the singer’s partnership with Binance, it marked the first global concert tour to integrate Web 3.0 technology for an enhanced fan experience, as previously shared by AfroTech.

As the tour is coming to a close, it’s heading out with history attached to it.

The Weeknd’s SoFi Stadium show raked in over $11 million — making it the highest-grossing show by a Black artist in history, according to Boardroom.

The show held on Sept. 2 sold 49,324 tickets. It was his first of two shows at the SoFi Stadium, but the second on Sept. 3 was abruptly cut short after he lost his voice, Daily Breeze reported.

“My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date,” The Weeknd said in a statement, per the outlet.

The Weeknd kept his word and is closing out the tour at the L.A. stadium on Nov. 26 and 27.

Partial funds from the historic show, as well as the other tour stops, are going toward a good cause.

After The Weeknd partnered with The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to launch the XO Humanitarian Fund, he donated $500,000 and committed $1 from each concert ticket sold in North America, as previously reported by AfroTech. Additionally, The World Food Programme donated $1 million to the fund.

The Weeknd Breaks Tour Record For Highest Attendance With 160K At London Stadium

Diamond certified and award-winning artist The Weeknd just broke the record for highest attendance across two nights with 160,000 at London Stadium. This significant moment took place over the weekend with sold-out back-to-back shows on July 7 and 8 as part of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour . The tour now holds the record for highest single night attendance for any show at the stadium with 80,000 fans. Kaytranada and Mike Dean joined on both nights. 

The completely sold out 2022 North American leg of the stadium tour was an incredible success, breaking attendance records and grossing $148 million dollars. Following the kick off of the second leg, the global tour has now grossed over $350 million dollars to date. 

“It’s incredible to see The Weeknd hit this milestone less than halfway through his massive sold-out European run,” said Omar Al-joulani, President, Touring, Live Nation in an interview. “This historic moment in London shows the global fanbase he has cultivated over the years.”

The second leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour continues with a show in Brussels, Belgium tomorrow at King Baudouin Stadium before heading to Barcelona, Milan, Paris and more. The Weeknd will also embark on his Latin America run this fall with shows in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and more before wrapping up on October 25 at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico. 

The  global stadium tour celebrates The Weeknd’s 2020 album After Hours ( it’s hit single “Blinding Lights” was named the new No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time, surpassing Chubby Checker’s 1960 hit “The Twist” ), as well as his critically-acclaimed album Dawn FM , which was released January 2022.

Parking fees not included with general admission, combo tickets or 3-Day Bouncer passes. Ultimate Bouncer passes include free parking.

Single entry parking fees are $15 for standard vehicles or $20 for oversized vehicles and can be purchased at the Attraction. 3-Day Bouncer parking fees are $30 for standard vehicles and $40 for oversized vehicles, which includes unlimited three-day parking at both Attractions within seven days of initial scan.

Combo tickets are valid for one-day entry to each Attraction in a seven-day period. 3-Day Bouncer passes are valid for three days of unlimited visits to both Attractions within a seven-day period. Ultimate Bouncer passes are valid for unlimited admission to both Attractions for one year from first visit.

In 2024 children ages 5-10 get in free to both Attractions when accompanied by an adult purchasing admission.

• Cannot be combined with any other discounts, offers, or promotions.
• The Kids Free discount is applicable with the purchase of at least one adult or senior general admission ticket.
• Kids Free tickets must be used on day of purchase when purchased on-site. Additional tickets are not available for later use.
• Online ticket purchases are limited to ten free child tickets per order. Additional tickets can be procured on-site upon arrival.
• Kids Free discount may also be used by Lifetime Membership, and Boarding Pass holders.

The Weeknd has postponed the Australia and New Zealand leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour two weeks before it was supposed to start.

According to the singer’s rep, fans received an email from the ticketing companies with this statement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia/New Zealand tour. New dates will be announced next year and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can’t wait to be there with you!”

Mike Dean and Chxrry22 , the latter of whom is signed to his label XO Records, were originally slated to open for The Weeknd. Dean and Kaytranada recently opened for his Latin American leg, which began on Sept. 26 at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico and wrapped on Oct. 25 at Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico.

The Weeknd Announces Second Leg of 2023 ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’

The Weeknd will embark on the second leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in spring 2023, playing shows in Europe and Latin America territories. 

The 27-date stadium tour begins June 10, 2023, at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

From there, The Weeknd will visit Dublin, London, Milan, Paris, Munich, Mexico City and São Paulo, before concluding with a show in Santiago, Chile, on Oct. 15, 2023.

According to The Weeknd’s website, “fans who had tickets for the 2022 After Hours Arena Tour in Europe” can visit this landing page for presale access.

General on-sale tickets start this Friday, Dec. 2, at 12 p.m. local time.

Kaytranada and Mike Dean retain their North American duties as special guests on select dates.

The Weeknd’s upcoming 2023 dates follow his sold-out North American After Hours Til Dawn Tour , which recently concluded with two nights in Los Angeles.

The tour will continue to support his 2022 album Dawn FM , released Jan. 6 via XO/Republic Records. He quickly responded with an expanded edition, Dawn FM: Alternative World .

Dawn FM featured previously shared tracks “ Take My Breath ” and “ Sacrifice .” Cliqua directed the visual for both tracks.

Speaking of “Sacrifice,” Chxrry22 , signed to XO Records, recently released her version .

Throughout the year, The Weeknd dished out alternate versions of Dawn FM tracks, including “ Out of Time ,” “How Do I Make You Love Me?” and “ Best Friend ,” to name a few.

Kaytranada remixed variations for the first track, while Summer Walker joined The Weeknd for the latter standout.

The Weeknd earned two nominations at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, including Male Artist of 2022 and Album of 2022 ( Dawn FM ). 

Music aside, The Weeknd has a new series coming to HBO and HBO Max titled The Idol . It’s described as “the sleaziest love story in all Hollywood.” (The trailer can be viewed above.)

Briefly touching on Kaytranada, he recently released “ Twin Flame ” with Anderson .Paak in August. He contributed production to Joyce Wrice ‘s recent project, Motive , released in October.

Kaytranada is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“ Intimated ” featuring H.E.R.) at the 65th Grammy Awards. The track appears on his 2021 EP of the same name.

While Kentucky may not draw the crowds of a Florida or a California, it deserves a spot as a premier tourist destination. You would be hard pressed to find any state with more charm than Kentucky.

Red rivers gorge.

Located in the Natural Bridge State Park within the expansive Daniel Boone National Forest, Red Rivers Gorge is one of the most beautiful sights anywhere in the south. Punctuated with some of the prettiest waterfalls in Kentucky , Red Rivers Gorge features some of the most thrilling outdoor adventures you can find anywhere in the south!

Boasting 200 foot sandstone cliffs, Red Rivers Gorge is one of the best places to climb in Kentucky. If rock climbing isn’t your thing, take a hike! Red Rivers Gorge features some of the most scenic trails in the south. Combined with the many aquatic adventures you could take here, there is far too much fun to fit in one day.

Bourbon Trail Road Trip

There’s a reason bourbon comes from Kentucky! The limestone-filtered water just makes it taste better. Of all the Kentucky weekend getaways, the Bourbon Trail will explore Kentucky’s deep passion for creating America’s bourbon.

Begin in Louisville at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. Take the full tour of the distillery which ends, of course, in a free tasting. If you’re a baseball fan, don’t forget to stop off at the Louisville Slugger Museum afterward, to see where professional baseball bats are made!

Then head to Versailles to see the Woodford Reserve Distillery. After touring the still, the warehouse, and the bottling process, grab a bite to eat in the café. Hop across town to the Wild Turkey Distillery, which has been making bourbon since 1869.

Afterwards, head to Lexington and visit both the Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company and Barrel House Distillery. Lexington Brewing also brews a delicious beer while Barrel House creates moonshine, vodka, and rum.

Finally, end your bourbon conquest in Loretto at the Maker’s Mark Distillery. Arguably the most famous in the state, a tour will let you dip your own bottle in their iconic red wax. Elk Creek Vineyards

Experience some of the best wine in the south at one of the most picturesque spots in Kentucky. The largest winery in the state, Elk Creek features more than 20 award winning wines.

With live entertainment every weekend and winery tours available by appointment, there’s never a shortage of things to do at Elk Creek. Feeling creative? Grab a brush and join in on a Paint and Wine class. Feeling hungry? Grab a bite at the Elk Creek Café.

If you crave adventure, Nolin Lake State Park features some truly beautiful and challenging trails to hike through.

Make sure to stay an extra day and visit Mammoth Cave national park. Nolin Lake has a plethora of beautiful camp sites, and there are hotels near by if you do not feel like roughing it. Cumberland Falls

One of the most stunning waterfalls in Kentucky, Cumberland Falls is 125 feet wide and contains a drop of 60 feet. Known as the Niagara of the South, this waterfall is something you have to see to believe.

Cumberland Falls is the only place in the Western Hemisphere where you can witness a moonbow. During a full moon, the moon’s light is reflected off of water droplets to create an arch of soft moonlight. This site alone makes Cumberland Falls a must-see sight in Kentucky.

While you’re not witnessing one of the most amazing phenomena in the world, unleash your adventurous side and try out some water sports. Once the sun goes down, cozy up around one of the giant fireplaces in the historic DuPont lodge.

Bowling Green

Bowling Green is the perfect mix of natural wonders and technological marvels. Known for both caves and Corvettes, this city is full of all kinds of marvels.

If you want natural wonders, Bowling Green has you covered. Head to the Lost River Cave, where you can take a guided boat tour through this beautiful cave. Be prepared for a history lesson, though, as this cave has housed everyone from Civil War soldiers to the notorious wild west outlaw Jesse James.

After getting your fill of nature, check out the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. This museum is also home to the General Motors Plant, so you are able to get an up close view of how these supercars are made! University of Kentucky

One of the coolest weekend getaways in Lexington, visiting the University of Kentucky is the perfect way to get a slice of that college life without having to pay tuition. Despite being home to so much more, Lexington is able to still feel like a tried and true college town.

Show your school spirit at a UK game! While gaining national acclaim for their basketball team, any University of Kentucky athletic event is bound to be a good time and will bring out the inner cheerleader in everyone. Be sure to grab a bite to eat after the game at one of Lexington’s many great restaurants. As a college town, Lexington has culinary influences from every walk of life.

You won’t need to worry about living in a dorm on this getaway, though! Lexington offers many beautiful hotels, from the historic Museum Hotel to the intriguing Campbell House. Spending a weekend in Lexington will allow you relive college days, without any of the assignments.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Trail

You can’t go to Kentucky without trying some fried chicken! Home of the famed Colonel Sanders, Kentucky is synonymous with the delicious food.

Start at Greyhound Tavern in Fort Mitchell. Near Cincinnati, this award-winning restaurant features some very “bluegrass” Kentucky staples. Come on by for a traditional meal of fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, green beans, and biscuits.

Next, head to Corbin to visit the Harland Sanders Café and Museum. Before KFC became KFC, it was a humble service station for travelers. Come visit the birthplace of KFC, grab a drumstick, and take a tour of the house where it all began.

Lastly, head to Lexington and the Parkette Drive-in. A classic 1950s drive-in, Parkette has been featured on multiple food network shows. With a delicious selection of fried chicken and other Kentucky staples, where Parkette really gets it’s fame is with it’s more obscure offerings. If you’re feeling adventurous, grab some fried liver or a bucket of chicken gizzards.

Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame

Located in Owensboro, Kentucky, this weekend getaway will give you a taste of that Kentucky culture. Bluegrass music is a more acoustic subset of country music hailing from 1940s Kentucky.

The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame is the home of this genre. Featuring a good amount of history, this museum also puts on some great events. If you can, schedule a trip around the Kentucky State Fiddle Champtionship!

While not exploring the history of Bluegrass at the museum, watch it live! There are many bars and restaurants in the area that feature live musicians. Grab some bourbon, listen to some bluegrass, and feel like a true Kentuckian on this weekend getaway!

While Kentucky may not be at the top of many bucket lists, the Bluegrass State is definitely worth spending a weekend in.
