The best thing about this place is it's location. I faced a weird situation in this place. I stayed here twice in a span of 7 days but on the first occasion the rooms were decent but on the 2nd occasion the rooms were pathetic. Although I paid the same price and booked same category of rooms online. Nevertheless the staffs were well behaved but always insisted for tips. Food is below average.

The tourist lodge is In a good location but the food is really not upto the mark. They would provide you only good quality rice but the items are not adequate & tasty but would charge is hefty. As a govt undertaking it should be rational but that is not & you would get much more good food in other dhaba like Pardesi in a cheaper price . So my recommendation especially for food is Big No.

Nice place to stay while going or returning from siliguri/ njp. In a complimentary breakfast try to avoid Puri sabji as it was not properly cooked. Toast omlette was better. Room and washroom were cleaned. Staffs were helpful.

Stayed 14 & 15 Dec'23. Very convenient location, for bird sanctuary visitor and night break for Kolkata-North Bengal road journey. Old (2000) building requires early renovation. Suffered a lot for non functioning of the Geyser. Poor arrangement of driver accomodation, broken window panel, no water supply in the toilet, no hot water, no breakfast though charged Rs. 500 per bed/night. Inhouse Restaurant-Bar, very testy cooking, well behave staffs

Is is a government owned tourist lodge under WBTIDC. It is standard options for room and food as is expected from government owned property. Food is clean but don't expect fancy foods here. The rooms and clean and nice with God toilets having 24 hours hot and cold weather through geyser. It has ample parking space. The thing here is that the outdoor area of the complex needs maintainance and is not in not in good shape. Other than that it is a good place to spend a night in transit. The location of the place is beside a main road. Recommende for transit but not for staying a tourist here.

• 25.637 88.121 1 Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary ( Kulik Bird Sanctuary ) ( It is located 4 km north from the centre of Raiganj town ). Several types of migratory birds arrive here each year from South Asian countries and coastal regions. They start arriving from June. The migratory species includes open-bill storks, egrets, night herons and cormorants. The resident birds are kites, flycatchers, owls, kingfishers, woodpeckers, drongoes, etc. Ornithologically, Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary is a very important heronry.
