Waited 2+ years to receive card

Waited for over 2 years to receive a physical card…and still nothing despite my account stating I have 2 physical cards awaiting activation. I’ve written 2 - 4 reminders to the company but always receive the same boilerplate reply; they’re having “manufacturing problems”. Scr*w this company - especially after reading the reviews here. How can I trust my money to a company that administers its product so poorly. Today I give up.

Beware of this company

It has been over 2 months since we asked for a transfer of our funds to a bank account. So far nothing has happened. We have had extensive mail contacts with the support team, which has lead to absolutely nothing. Neo explanation, no timeline for when the money will be transferred, nothing. Just some excuses that finance department have a heave workload at the moment. Customer support claims that they have escalated the issue to supervisors at finance, but nothings come out of that. Waiting for update from more than 2 weeks. Now customer support gives us the silent treatment, not answering our e-mails. This is the worst company I have dealt with ever. I have been a loyal customer since 2015 and now this crap from them.

Really terrible

Really terrible. Watch out for random fees if you do not use your account for a while. Obviously they tuck it away in the small print. What's worse is the total lack of customer support. No number to ring. The two-factor authentication on their website does not work in the UK which means it is impossible to get your money transferred to a UK bank. They are closing down their operation in UK (probably because they are so crap).

After being a loyal customer for a long…

After being a loyal customer for a long period of time, they suddenly blocked my account. After contacting them multiple times in half a year, I finally got in contact with them by commenting their Instagram photo. Finally they sent me a form toget my funds refunded. After providing them with the filled out form, I haven't heard anything back. Customer service is non existent at this company. I feel like being treated like poop after being a loyal customer at both SAS Travel Wallet and SAS for many years.

Awful customer support

Lots of errors through out the website and the app. Error when trying to log in, error when trying to load money, error in the verification prosess etc. Useless and awful customer support! They used FIVE MONTHS to fix my issue!!! They offered some extra bonus points as a compensation, but never actually gave me the points(!!!) Just empty promises that "points will be transfered soon". Now it's been 5 months and still no points. It's a total bull***t company!

Set up TW to try a new currency card

Set up TW to try a new currency card, rather then my own bank card whilst aboard. I have uploaded my documents, waited more then 2 weeks and have tried contacting them to see when the issue will be resolved so that I can load money into a card to order an actual card or use my virtual one. Still haven’t heard anything, despite sending numerous emails to find out if the issue has been sorted! Looking at closing the account which I have not yet even been able to use due lack of communication from the customer services!

I have found this company difficult to deal with

I have found this company difficult to deal with. I wanted a card to use abroad without paying fees all the time via my bank. It took months to set up - always seemed to be my fault though eventually they apologised - and now at find it impossible to get my address changed although I uploaded the documents as requested a couple of months ago. A good idea in principle, I thought its association with SAS would mean good service and reliability but it has turned out to be the opposite.

Stuck for 58 hours in sweeden

Stuck for 58 hours in sweeden. Thank you for absolutely nothing. We tried to contact you guys multiple times - with the same answer. That we have to wait further instructions. Last time ever considering using your service.

Total scam - avoid

I found the setup useless and only entered into this due the association to SAS and SAS Eurobonus. I now firmly believe that the company is a scam site or at least unethically run setup only surviving on being associated with the SAS brand. Customer service is non-existing. I have been trying for four months to get a overview of my account and the extreme fees they have deducted from the account. Poor explanations, ‘technical problems’, delays in response are main tactics and very similiar to a scam setup. I have informed SAS on mail/facebook on the matter but they are reluctant to help.

Date of experience : July 17, 2020

Without doubt the worst!

It is without a doubt the worst of the top-up cards in circulation. So idiotic in fact, then when you think you have done yourself a favour, loaded the card with say SEK and converted them to EUR to use abroad and prioritised that currency in the false hope that you will be charged in EUR, when you eventually come to withdraw money from an ATM like I did, the card will still be detected in SEK, the EUR amount will be converted to SEK and back to EUR + ATM withdrawal fees will apply no matter what SAS Travel Wallet say and a withdrawal of 200Eur will cost you…41 Eur in rates and fees. And don’t expect any help from the equally idiotic customer service whose leeching salaries you would have been paying for. That is not to mention their terrible exchange rates. You have been warned!

Very bad customer service and problems all the time

Very poor service. First of all you earn so few points when spending money. Then problems in using the card to pay in stores and when I call them they can only say that it seems there is no problem with the card. Then I tried to transfer money to the card by trustly and some issues appeared. They said it would take up to two weeks before the transaction function will work again. It's really not a good service when you need to transfer money now 😡. Being a loyal member for many years I'm now on my way to unsubscribe the service as it only gives me problems.

Awful custom service, many delays and excuses without solving the problem, really looks like a scam

The trains and stations of the Moscow Metro

2 Comments · Posted by Alex Smirnov in Cities , Travel , Video

The Moscow Metro is the third most intensive subway system in the world after Tokyo and Seoul subways. The first line was opened on May 15, 1935. Since 1955, the metro has the name of V.I. Lenin.

The system consists of 12 lines with a total length of 305.7 km. Forty four stations are recognized cultural heritage. The largest passenger traffic is in rush hours from 8:00 to 9:00 and from 18:00 to 19:00.

Cellular communication is available on most of the stations of the Moscow Metro. In March 2012, a free Wi-Fi appeared in the Circle Line train. The Moscow Metro is open to passengers from 5:20 to 01:00. The average interval between trains is 2.5 minutes.

The fare is paid by using contactless tickets and contactless smart cards, the passes to the stations are controlled by automatic turnstiles. Ticket offices and ticket vending machines can be found in station vestibules.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

By Claudia Looi 2 Comments

Komsomolskaya metro station

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.
