The game is good, but I hate the predatory ads. Not only is there an ad to increase your rewards, there is an ad in-between every level as well as an audio ad many times while playing levels. I understand the need to advertise to make money, and I understand an ‘ad free’ version is available for a cost, but the amount of ads makes me want to delete this constant ad barrage instead of paying the fee.

The game is great but could be awesome if you had more “find the correct word” more or the same as the word search. “Find the correct word” reminds me of English class. I like that. Please bring more of that. Enjoy

It’s unfortunate the game doesn’t load properly. I was having the same issue as Leah Goss’s review. I uninstalled and restarted my phone, it worked after a couple tries of reopening it, but then the home page wouldn’t respond, restarted the game. Got through level one and two, and now the bonus level is not responding and the game will crash on my attempts to restart.

I contacted the team & never got a response, but today after Android Auto updated, this finally installed again. Bad form for no response but I still love the game. Also, so glad to be able to pay a one-of fee to get rid of ads. 2022-01-09 Sadly, it won’t update now and when I uninstalled it to reinstall, it won’t reinstall either, so it’s gone I tried everything suggested. 2021-06-01 Love the game! There’s no timer and the grammar mini puzzles pop up after the word searches.

Too much ad! I understand that ads is where you earn but every 2 words that I was able to search, ads is automatically being played and not 1 ads at a time. It is getting irritated specially on the secret level, how am I suppose to accomplish it within the given time if ads always pop-out without any prior notice? I am losing focus on the game. I play your other games but I was able to complete it regardless of the ads. This game is very disappointing.

View, manage, and install add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

When you enable an add-in, it adds custom commands and new features to Microsoft 365 programs that help increase your productivity. Because add-ins can be used by attackers to do harm to your computer, you can use add-in security settings to help protect yourself.

Note:  This article only applies to Microsoft 365 applications running on Windows.

View installed add-ins

You can directly install add-ins from this page or select  More Add-ins  to explore.

In the Office Add-ins dialog, select  My Add-ins  tab.

Select an add-in you want to view the details for and right-click to select  Add-in details  option.

Add-in categories explained

Active Application Add-ins      Add-ins registered and currently running on your Microsoft 365 program.

Inactive Application Add-ins      These are present on your computer but not currently loaded. For example, XML schemas are active when the document that refers to them is open. Another example is the COM add-in: if a COM add-in is selected, the add-in is active. If the check box is cleared, the add-in is inactive.

Document Related Add-ins      Template files referred to by open documents.

Disabled Application Add-ins     These add-ins are automatically disabled because they are causing Microsoft 365 programs to crash.

Add-in      The title of the add-in.

Publisher      The software developer or organization responsible for creating the add-in.

Compatibility      Look here for any compatibility issues.

Location      This file path indicates where the add-in is installed on your computer.

Note:  Microsoft Outlook has one add-in option in the Trust Center: Apply macro security settings to installed add-ins . InfoPath has no security settings for add-ins.

Permanently disable or remove an add-in

To disable or remove an add-in follow these steps:

Select  File > Get Add-ins . Alternatively, you can select  Home > Add-ins .

In the Office Add-ins dialog, select  My Add-ins  tab.

Select an add-in you want to remove and right click to select  Remove  option.

View or change add-in settings

You can see and change add-in settings in the Trust Center, descriptions of which are in the following section. Add-in security settings may have been determined by your organization so not all options may be available to change.

Select  File  >  Get Add-ins .

Select  More Add-ins > Manage My Add-ins.

Select  Trust Center  >  Trust Center Settings  >  Add-ins.

Check or uncheck the boxes you want.

Add-in settings explained

Require Application Add-ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher      Check this box to have the Trust Center check that the add-in uses a publisher's trusted signature. If the publisher's signature hasn’t been trusted, the Microsoft 365 program doesn’t load the add-in, and the Trust Bar displays a notification that the add-in has been disabled.

Disable notification for unsigned add-ins (code will remain disabled)      When you check the Require Application Extensions to be signed by Trusted Publisher box, this option is no longer grayed out. Add-ins signed by a trusted publisher are enabled, but unsigned add-ins are disabled.

Disable all Application Add-ins (may impair functionality)      Check this box if you don't trust any add-ins. All add-ins are disabled without any notification, and the other add-in boxes are grayed out.

Note:  This setting takes effect after you exit and restart your Microsoft 365 program.

While working with add-ins, you may need to learn more about digital signatures and certificates , which authenticate an add-in, and trusted publishers , the software developers who often create add-ins.

Manage and install add-ins

Use the following instruction to manage and install add-ins.

To install a new add-in:

You can directly install popular add-ins on the page or go to More Add-ins  to explore. 

Select the add-in and select  Add . Or browse by selecting  Store  tab in the Office add-in dialog to find other add-ins to install and select Add for that add-in.

To manage your add-ins:

Select  File > Get Add-ins and from the bottom, select More Add-ins.  Or select  Home  >  Add-ins > More add-ins.

In the Office dialog, select My Add-ins tab. If you are not able to see your add-ins, select  Refresh to reload your add-ins.

Select  Manage My Add-in  to manage and select  Upload to browse and add an add-in from your device.

How to cancel a purchased add-in

If you've subscribed to an add-in through the Microsoft 365 Store that you don't want to continue, you can cancel that subscription.

Open the Microsoft 365 application and go to the Home  tab of the ribbon.

Select  Add-ins  and then select  More Add-ins > My Add-ins tab   to view your existing add-ins.

Select the app you want to cancel and select  Manage My Add-ins .

Under the Payment and Billing section choose Cancel Subscription .

Select  OK and then Continue .

Once that's complete you should see a message that says "You have cancelled your app subscription" in the comments field of your apps list.

Why is my add-in crashing?

Some add-ins might not be compatible with your organization's IT department policies. If that is the case with add-ins recently installed on your Microsoft 365 program, Data Execution Prevention (DEP) will disable the add-in and the program might crash.

A gripping account of Captain Cook’s final voyage

‘the wide wide sea,’ by hampton sides, recounts cook’s search for the northwest passage.

I’m grateful to the Santa Fe bookseller who put Hampton Sides’s “Blood and Thunder” into my hands some years ago. With Kit Carson’s death-defying exploits at its center, the book revolutionized my concept of America’s westward expansion. Sides’s latest effort, “ The Wide Wide Sea ,” is a gripping account of Captain James Cook’s final voyage.

Cook is a controversial historical figure, especially in light of increasing consciousness about the evils of colonialism. Yet he continues to evoke curiosity and attention. As recently as last month, Popular Mechanics published an article about the rediscovery of his curated shell collection.

Sides does not skirt the rapacious appetites of the British and other European monarchies. The magic of this book, however, is in the details of the explorer’s life at sea. Sides relies on Cook’s writings as well those of other sailors on the voyage. Based on the selected bibliography he includes, Sides’s research was voluminous.

Cook had made two world voyages by the time the book opens. He was a celebrity, having “risen from virtually nothing.” At sea, he’d bucked the Royal Navy’s tradition of violence and cruelty. He’d figured out how to avoid scurvy and brought home information of incomparable value, had mastered new nautical instruments and served as an expert scientist, anthropologist and navigator. His mapmaking skills were superlative.

After only six months at home, he took off again, in search of the elusive Northwest Passage . His third expedition consisted of 180 people in two wooden ships, the Resolution and the Discovery. They left England in July 1776.

In addition to Cook’s story, other narratives weave through the book. One particularly fascinating account is that of Mai, a native of Raiatea, a volcanic island 130 miles northwest of present-day Tahiti. When Mai was a boy, warriors from Bora Bora invaded Raiatea, murdered his father, seized his family’s land and enslaved much of the population, forcing his family to take refuge in Tahiti. In 1767, a teenage Mai witnessed the English navy’s firepower when Samuel Wallis, a British navigator, arrived in the HMS Dolphin and fought the Tahitians. Vowing to avenge his people against Bora Bora, Mai concluded that English guns were the way to go. When Cook sailed in seven years later on his second Pacific voyage, Mai requested passage, becoming the first Polynesian to set foot on English soil.

Mai’s story reads as metaphor for colonialism. He learned English and was wined and dined as a celebrity. Although horrified by London’s grinding poverty, unthinkable in his homeland, he wore the local dress and adopted the manners of a foppish English gentleman. He met King George, who provided Mai and Cook with a large assortment of farm animals and domesticated birds, to cement the king’s footprint around the globe. No surprise — the animals were hell to care for. Mai had been in search of heavy artillery from King George, but for the voyage was given only an “arsenal of muskets [and] broadswords,” as well as gifts that would have been unimaginable to the Polynesians — cut-glass bows, laced hats, crockery and telescopes. If not the cache Mai hoped for, it does reflect the English royalty’s strategy for winning friends.

It isn’t possible in this short space to describe Sides’s hair-raising accounts of the journey, an itinerary that led from England to present-day South Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, Hawaii, north to Alaska and beyond, and back to Hawaii. Just repairing and re-provisioning the ship required herculean efforts. The physical threats included days-long ocean storms, fog so thick it wasn’t possible to see from stern to bow and cold temperatures against which no garment could protect.

By the time Cook reached Polynesia in October 1777, the rat infestation was so great that “the vermin had all but taken over the holds, gangways, and lower decks.” At Moorea, 12 miles from Tahiti, Cook created a “swinging bridge” from ropes to lure the rats on land. A few made it to the beaches, introducing Polynesia to the European black rats, which remain a “scourge” today.

Cook understood that his men were vectors for infection. An ascetic, he occasionally stopped his men from going ashore to prevent the spread of venereal disease. At times he restrained his crew from violence; at other times, his temper was uncontrollable. After a series of petty thefts from the ship by Tongo natives, Cook ordered brutal floggings and had a villager’s ears cut off. In punishment for one Moorea person stealing a goat, Cook had the village and its cropland torched, along with its canoes. Sides suggests that over the course of this final voyage, Cook may have been suffering declining mental faculties.

By August 1778, the two ships were in the Arctic Ocean sailing toward Siberia. Cook was careful, “zagging outward if the pincers of ice began to close in on his vessels.” When he finally concluded there was no Northwest Passage, he decided to salvage his “defeat,” by doing “reconnaissance work in Hawai’i.” A man onboard wrote, “Those who have been amongst ice, in the dread of being enclosed in it, and in so late a season, can be the best judge of the general joy this news gave.”

People tend to know Cook was killed by native people in Hawaii. The events leading up to his death are gruesome and upsetting, including “cannibalism” made more explicable in Sides’s measured account.

This book captures a time when Europeans were finding unfathomable new worlds. Armed with extensive research and terrific writing, Sides re-creates the newness of the experience, the vast differences in and among Indigenous cultures, and natural phenomena that were as terrifying as they were wondrous.

Colt Ford is sharing his first health update in his own words since suffering from a heart attack -- and he's got one thing on his mind ... getting back onstage.

The country singer posted a video Wednesday, where he's speaking from his hospital bed ... and he shows off a huge post-surgery chest scar. He's not sugarcoating it ... admitting he's probably going to miss concerts for the rest of the year as he continues to recover.

Even though he's got a tough road ahead, Colt's determined to come back in a big way. He thanks fans for their well wishes and also drops some wisdom, reminding folks to take care of themselves because life's curveballs can sneak up on you when you least expect it.

Why the Word “Conspiracy” Has Become So Critical to the Case Against Donald Trump

Prosecutors have finally homed in on their strategy..

Way back in April 2023, when a grand jury in Manhattan filed the first criminal indictment of a U.S. president in the country’s history, the 34 felony counts of falsifying business documents charged against Donald J. Trump landed with a thud. The grand jury deliberations had been essentially kept secret, so there were all sorts of elaborate theories about the case that District Attorney Alvin Bragg might be building. Would Trump be charged with financial crimes for his alleged misdealings with large banks? Or maybe tax crimes? Or perhaps something even more exotic that the public didn’t know about yet?

Nope. Instead, Bragg charged Trump with filing false business documents in relation to the Stormy Daniels hush money scheme that had already been exposed and combed over from seemingly every possible angle a full five years prior. Trump complained that this anti-Trump Democratic prosecutor was reviving a “zombie case” in order to “get” him. And a perhaps bored press corps was clearly somewhat let down , too. We already knew about this particular drama!

To make matters worse, legal analysts noted that Bragg refused to offer in his indictment or in his press conference a single detail about what crime Trump had allegedly committed alongside the false documents charge that might elevate the misdemeanor charge to a felony. Speculation that Bragg didn’t have the goods grew.

Now, those charges are the first ones to make it to trial. Trump has been in court since last Monday. And Bragg’s prosecutorial team has finally started laying out how they are going to sell this complex case to jurors: not by pitching it as a specifically illegal paperwork misfiling, but by boiling it down to a criminal “conspiracy” to illegally manipulate voters and win the 2016 election.

The word “conspiracy” was not a prominent feature of Bragg’s pretrial legal filings. But it came up again and again in the first two days of presentation to the jury this week. The idea of a “conspiracy” was so central to the prosecution’s case—and maybe so ominous-sounding—that Trump’s defense team even tried to get prosecutors to stop using the word.

It’s understandable why they’d do that. Taking part in a “criminal conspiracy” sounds a lot worse than allegedly violating Byzantine campaign finance laws that nobody really understands and that might not normally even be enforced properly anyhow.

That alleged conspiracy goes something like this: Trump, in concert with, among others, Michael Cohen and David Pecker, who is the former CEO of American Media Inc., the National Enquirer’s parent company, formed a scheme to cover up potentially damaging stories for Trump as he campaigned for the Republican nomination and the general election. The resulting scheme served as an illegal in-kind donation to his campaign that was never reported. As part of the alleged conspiracy, Cohen paid off Stormy Daniels to not tell her story about an alleged affair with Trump, at Trump’s behest and to benefit the campaign. Trump filed false documents when he reimbursed Cohen. Cohen has even already served a prison sentence after admitting to this as a campaign finance violation! In other words, this isn’t unimportant or overzealous—it’s already criminal.

Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo’s opening arguments focused heavily on an August 2015 meeting among Trump, Cohen, and Pecker, who has also been the prosecution’s first witness against Trump. During this, the word “conspiracy” came up more than a few times. “The defendant, Donald Trump, orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election,” Colangelo argued. “Then he covered up that criminal conspiracy by lying in his New York business records over and over and over again.” Colangelo said “conspiracy” more than a dozen times during that opening argument. Colangelo described that August 2015 Trump Tower meeting among Trump, Cohen, and Pecker as the lynchpin of the scheme. “Those three men formed a conspiracy at that meeting to influence the presidential election by concealing negative information about Mr. Trump in order to help him get elected,” Colangelo said.

Trump attorney Todd Blanche’s opening argument took direct aim at this fresh labeling of Trump’s alleged crimes. “You will hear and see that there are 34 counts in this indictment. ‘Conspiracy’ is not one of them,” Blanche argued, pointing back to the wording in that initial, vanilla indictment. “President Trump is not charged with any ‘conspiracy.’ ”

The problem for Trump’s legal team is that it may not matter what Trump was initially charged with, because a business records felony requires proof of another crime—and in this case, that crime seems like it’s going to be an alleged conspiracy to violate election law. (Though, this seeming vagueness could very well be a problem for prosecutors and a boon to Trump on appeal , too.)

At one point in the testimony on Tuesday, the prosecution tried to add that 2016 Trump campaign chairman Steve Bannon also may have conspired with Pecker. Defense attorney Emil Bove objected, and complained to the judge that the “whole line of questioning” about co-conspirators should be inadmissible because conspiracy was never charged, meaning the defense was resultingly not given fair notice about who might be considered a co-conspirator.

But prosecutor Joshua Steinglass stepped in to argue that “there is conspiracy language” in one of the election statutes charged, which makes his team’s use of the word fair game. Justice Merchan agreed. The problem for the defense is that “conspiracy” sure sounds worse than friends working together to “influence” an election.

That’s exactly how it played out during Pecker’s testimony. Much of the introductory testimony felt boring or repetitive—prosecutors needed to lay the groundwork for why Pecker’s testimony matters. But then prosecutors presented a series of opening exhibits demonstrating some of the fruits of the “conspiracy,” including National Enquirer headlines praising Donald Trump and trashing Trump’s primary opponents. Pecker confirmed in his testimony that he ran these headlines by Cohen for input, and that Cohen even directly fed him other headlines. Those headlines? They’re somewhat startling and frankly mostly about sexual indiscretions: “ Bungling Surgeon Ben Carson Left Sponge in Patient’s Brain ”; “ ‘ Kinky Sex’ Actress: Ted Cruz Shamed By Porn Star ”; “ Ted Cruz Sex Scandal—5 Secret Mistresses ”; “Donald Trump Blasts Ted Cruz’s Dad for Photo With JFK Assassin”; “  ‘Family Man’ Marco Rubio’s Love Child Stunner! ” Pecker also testified this was all done in coordination with Cohen—and by extension Trump—in order to boost the campaign.

“After the Republican debate and based on the success that some of the other candidates had, I would receive a call from Michael Cohen and he would direct me and direct [National Enquirer editor-in-chief] Dylan Howard on which candidate and which direction we should go,” Pecker testified.

“We would add content based on the some of the information that Michael Cohen had,” Pecker continued. “Michael Cohen would call me, and say he said, ‘We would like for you to run negative articles on a certain candidate,’ let’s say it’s on Ted Cruz, then he would send me information about Ted Cruz, or about Ben Carson, or about Marco Rubio, and that was the basis of our story and then we would embellish from there.”

What transformed this seedy agreement with some semblance of journalism into a definitive and provable crime, prosecutors argue, is the agreement to pay sources to kill their stories rather than to run them, something Pecker said he had never done prior to the 2016 election coverage. Pecker testified that he also did this with a doorman peddling a false story about an “illegitimate child” Trump had with a Trump Tower “maid,” because the Trump campaign didn’t want the story out even if it was untrue. He’s expected to testify that he also did this catch-and-kill scheme with former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, who has alleged that she had a yearlong affair with the former president, and that he was asked to do it with Stormy Daniels as well.

We haven’t heard how Trump’s legal team intends to counter Pecker’s testimony on cross-examination, but that should be coming on Thursday or Friday. The defense will most likely try to portray Pecker as a sleazebag who betrayed his friend—a “rat” in Trump parlance—to save his own skin. Also, expect the defense to portray the unusual cooperation deal that Trump had with Pecker as typical of journalist–source relationships, which often involve reporters trying to curry favor with the people they cover in exchange for information.

This was not a normal journalist–source relationship. Those tend not to involve the exchange of large sums of money! And even though at one point Pecker seemed to suggest that the relationship was “mutually beneficial” because it boosted newsstand sales, and was therefore aboveboard, that isn’t going to be a golden ticket out either because Pecker could not explain how killing juicy negative stories about Trump could possibly boost his newsstand sales.

Pecker’s testimony continues on Thursday and Friday.
