Well, Adam Sandler (again) has a microphone and you don’t, so you will listen to every damn word he has to say . That is, if you’re heading to his next stand-up comedy show.
“The Wedding Singer” star — whom we have to thank for the above line — is launching a 25-city North American tour to close out 2023. The I Missed You tour comes on the heels of his best-reviewed film, this month’s Netflix comedy “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” and sold-out stand-up shows from earlier this year.
Adam Sandler’s ‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah’ director defends him for casting daughters amid nepo-baby debate
Adam Sandler sparked a nepo-baby debate for casting daughters Sunny and Sadie in ‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.’ But it’s on brand, director says.
Sept. 1, 2023
The comedy icon’s tour kicks off at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Oct. 12 and will hit Seattle, Portland, Ore., Las Vegas and the Midwest before wrapping in Denver on Dec. 12, according to promoter and show producer Live Nation. The tour also promises a surprise guest. (Earlier this year, his “Grown Ups” co-stars Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Spade joined him on stage.)
The “Murder Mystery” and “Uncut Gems” actor will be making two Southern California stops in October: First, at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on Oct. 2; second, at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Oct. 23.
He’s also playing shows at the SAP Center in San Jose on Oct. 18 and Save Mart Center on Oct. 20 in Fresno.
The presale for the tour begins Thursday and the general sale begins Friday on Ticketmaster.
Review: ‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah’ is a sweet take on rites, fights and tween drama
Adam Sandler and his real-life family — including breakout Sunny Sandler — are charming in a comedy about feuding girls approaching their big days.
Aug. 25, 2023
The 57-year-old began his career on the stand-up circuit before landing a five-year gig on “Saturday Night Live” in the early 1990s. From there, the comic — known for his brash, man-child shtick and athleisure affinity — catapulted to superstardom with the hit comedies “Billy Madison,” “Happy Gilmore,” “The Water Boy” and “The Wedding Singer.”
The actor has taken on more dramatic fare over the last decade, starring in “The Meyerowitz Stories,” “Uncut Gems” — for which he earned a Screen Actors Guild nomination — and “Hustle.”
Sandler toured earlier this year under the Adam Sandler Live! marquee and extended that tour with seven shows in April . Before that, the comedian hit the road for his 100% Fresher tour in 2019. That live show, which streamed on Netflix, earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for writing for a variety special.

Adam Sandler’s 25-City North American Tour Kicks Off in October
The “I Missed You Tour” tickets go on sale Friday
SHABADOO ! Adam Sandler has got a new North American tour that is scheduled to launch next month in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrap up on Dec. 12 in Denver.
The huge 25-city tour has been dubbed “The I Missed You Tour” and will follow his sold-out “Adam Sandler LIVE” shows from earlier this year. They also promise an as-yet-disclosed special guest.
Ready to see the Sandman IRL?
Sandler, of course, was a “Saturday Night Live” cast member from 1990 to 1995, creating a host of characters that were both whimsical but also a little threatening and gave even the softest scenario some unexpected edge. In the years after “SNL,” he became a huge actor, first starring in some lowbrow comedies like “Billy Madison” and “Happy Gilmore” and then diversifying his portfolio by starring in acclaimed dramas like “Punch-Drunk Love,” “Funny People,” “Uncut Gems” and, most recently, the excellent “Hustle.” He’s also starred in a number of animated features like the “Hotel Transylvania” movies and pioneered the transition to streaming thanks to a lucrative and longstanding deal with Netflix that is still going strong today (“You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” recently hit the service and the animated “Leo” is on the way this fall).
Produced by Live Nation, the tour makes stops in Portland, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Memphis, Toronto and more. This will be a very fun time indeed, with Sandler undoubtedly incorporating new material alongside some of his old standbys.
Tickets will be available starting with a Live Nation presale beginning Thursday, September 14 at 12 PM local time. The general on sale for “The I Missed You Tour” will start Friday, Sept. 15, at noon local tim on Ticketmaster.com .

More recently, he joined his daughters Sunny Sandler and Sadie Sandler, along with wife, Jackie Sandler, in the coming-of-age comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah , which hit Netflix last month and currently holds an impressive 92 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter , My Bat Mitzvah director Sammi Cohen praised Sandler for the support he provided to everyone involved with the film.
“He’s hilarious, and he’s always making everything funnier,” Cohen said. “He really gave everyone space to do their thing, but when people needed support, he was there. He’s wearing multiple hats — producing, acting, being an actual dad. It’s almost inhuman. Nothing suffers — he does it all 110 percent.”

Adam Sandler Announces 25-Date Comedy Tour in North America: 'Let's Have Some Fun'

Adam Sandler is going back on the road!
The comedian, 57, announced on social media Wednesday that he'll be embarking on a comedy tour in North America from October to December, with 25 dates in total throughout the U.S. and Canada. The run of shows, titled the I Missed You Tour , is set to kick off Oct. 12 in Vancouver.
"Let’s have some fun," Sandler captioned an Instagram trailer, which included clips of him playing the guitar, taking some crowd selfies at a handful of shows and getting plenty of laughs.
The latest run of shows follows the Uncut Gems actor's Adam Sandler LIVE gigs, which concluded in April. The I Missed You Tour — which is produced by Live Nation — features stops in Portland, San Jose, Toronto, Memphis, Salt Lake City, Rochester, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, and beyond — with a final date on Dec. 12 in Denver.
Live Nation ticket presale kicks off at 12 p.m. local time on Thursday, with a Ticketmaster general sale starting at 12 p.m. local time on Friday.
Actor Pauly Shore shared his excitement under Sandler's Instagram post with the comment, "Daaaaa Sand man is back boom boom broozzz."
Sandler's tour announcement arrives shortly after he and his family starred in the Netflix teen film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah , which followed the crew as they navigated planning the perfect bat mitzvah.
Adam and wife Jackie Sandler's daughters — Sunny , 14, and Sadie , 17 — play the roles of two teens as the film "chronicles the high comedy and modern teen angst that comes with family, friendship, and first crushes," per a synopsis .
"What’s really funny is right before we started prepping for the film, Sunny had her actual bat mitzvah," director Sammi Cohen told PEOPLE in August of the film. "So I went to that service, and we got to do the real-life bat mitzvah and then left to make the movie. It was a really fun life movie moment."
"It was really, really fun. And it was, again, it was just such a perfect moment of life meets movie. It was just magical."

In March, Sandler was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The honor came as Jennifer Aniston , Chris Rock , Pete Davidson , and more toasted the Saturday Night Live alum for his decades in show business.
Rob Schneider also shared a few kind words with his friend at the event, while performing a rendition of Sandler's "Grow Old With You" from The Wedding Singer soundtrack.
"Nobody gave Adam Sandler his success. Adam earned this through his hard work in a really tough business, show business," Schneider said. "People ask me: why does Adam put me in so many movies? And it's because he wants to laugh and share his tremendous success with his friends, plus I will do really humiliating s--- that he won't do."
"Adam is a very generous guy," David Spade also shared. "He has hired his whole family tree to work for him. The call sheet looks like Ancestry.com."
Sandler thanked his friends and family when collecting his award after several hilarious speeches, noting that "everybody was great."
"I feel like everyone who came and spoke up there, I think we all truly love each other," he said. "We have each other's backs for life. People always would ask me those bad reviews you get, how does that make you feel, like s---? It really doesn't. I think the reason I get to say it didn't hurt me is because so many of you guys in this room made me feel great about what we've done together."

That includes a stop at Rochester, NY’s Blue Cross Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
At all shows, the “Sand Man” will perform his own unique hybrid of stand-up, music and storytelling.
A special guest or two may show up as well. At past gigs, Chris Rock, David Spade , Kevin James , Judd Apatow and Sarah Sherman have all joined the “SNL” alum onstage.
While we can’t confirm who’s going on the road with the “Hustle” star this time around, we do know the best way to find out is live.

Adam Sandler is coming to Memphis: Get ready for the standup, songs & special guest
Making a rare Memphis appearance, Adam Sandler — the standup comic and "Saturday Night Live" cast member turned superstar film funnyman — will perform next week at FedExForum , bringing his mix of standup, songs and special guests.
In an acknowledgment that Sandler's recent decades have been more devoted to movies than to concerts, his current run of dates has been titled "The I Missed You Tour."
Specifically, it’s been nearly 28 years since Sandler’s last live date in Memphis.
Here's what to know before his Nov. 16 show at FedExForum.
Adam Sandler, a comic legend
Sandler, 57, first found fame as a cast member of "Saturday Night Live," from 1990 to 1995. His popularity led to concert tours and several hit albums and novelty singles (he introduced "The Chanukah Song" in 1994). He parlayed his success into a series of extraordinarily successful movies, starting in the 1990s with "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore."
His Happy Madison Productions company also produced films for Sandler's comedian friends, such as David Spade and Kevin James. More recently, Sandler has been involved in the "Hotel Transylvania" animation franchise and has produced and starred in movies for Netflix, such as "The Ridiculous 6" and "Hubie Halloween."
Beyond Sandler’s rare serious turns in award-worthy dramas like Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Punch Drunk Love” and the Safdie brothers' “Uncut Gems,” he’s also earned good notices for his acting in more recent and decidedly lighter fare like this year’s “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.”
Although his box office receipts generally have outpaced his critical kudos, earlier this year Sandler was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, an award presented by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. The honor puts him in the company of such laugh luminaries as Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Neil Simon and Lily Tomlin.
'The I Missed You Tour'
In general, Sandler hasn’t made many appearances in Memphis. Back in 1995, he performed at the University of Memphis' Elma Roane Fieldhouse (tickets were $7 at the time).
The upcoming FedExForum show is part of a 25-city North American tour that began Oct. 12 in Vancouver and will concludes Dec. 12 in Denver.
The Bluff City date will be Sandler's only Southern stop on the tour, and fans from across the region are expected to attend (and seem to have quickly snapped up many of the best seats to the show).

What to expect at Adam Sandler show
A long and mostly glowing Variety review of Sandler’s tour stop in Atlantic City last fall, offered a nice summation of what fans can expect at his live shows.
“Donning a beard, wearing an Oakley hoodie and accompanied by his piano-playing, occasional co-songwriter Dan Bulla — to say nothing of a stage filled with guitars played often by the comedian — Sandler was on, wily and hot,” wrote critic A.D. Amorosi. “The Sandman is silly, but also with a wizened mix of emotion, intelligence, reminiscence, currency and pop culturalism. And d*** jokes.”
In addition to his own sets, Sandler’s shows have also touted a usually unannounced special or surprise guest. Some lucky crowds have been blessed with appearances by comedy greats and Sandler pals like Chris Rock, other audiences have drawn the short stick and gotten opening sets by Rob Schneider.
In general, though, the shows' guests have offered a fair amount of star power with everyone from Kevin James to Woody Harrelson to Judd Apatow making cameos. It’s not clear who will appear as part of Sandler’s local date, but it should add another element of intrigue to the show.
Tickets to Adam Sandler's Memphis show
Tickets for the Adam Sandler show at FedExForum can still be purchased for several tiers and areas throughout arena — though there's only a relative smattering of seats available overall, and the event looks on pace to sell out by showtime.

As of this writing, the cheapest seats start at $55 and are located in the upper 200s section of the Forum. Lower bowl seating, to the side of the stage run between $126 and $147 per ticket. A handful of floor seats, toward the back rows, are also available at that same $147 price point. And the best remaining views, which include Platinum seating near the stage, will run you $400-plus per ticket.
