 Anthony B brings a high energy, engaging performance style to fans that relate to his lyrics and songwriting, both revolutionary and entertaining.  Embodying all that is topical and compelling about Reggae music, this artist has been steadfast in his mission to represent the poor and oppressed, using timely lyrics to confront political injustices and bring the issues of the people to the forefront. In the process, he has raised the performance standards and lyrical content for the industry, performing quality lyrics and producing a multifaceted stage show that attracts diverse audiences from around the globe. 

 The artist’s live performance is one of reggae’s most dynamic in its history.  Since 1992 Anthony B has commanded stages with his energetic creative style that brings the lyrics to life onstage.  His shows engage crowds who sing word for word to the extensive catalog of songs that began with his hits “Fire Pon Rome” and “Raid Di Barn” that addressed issues of economic and social justice in Jamaica.  Since that time, Anthony B has grown into one of reggae music’s top performers appearing on the world’s most prestigious festival and venues.  

Key events throughout the artist’s career have included a 1999 appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.   In 2003 and 2004, he was given a King's welcome in Gambia and Senegal. In 2004, he sold out shows in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, France, Italy and Germany. In 2007 he appeared on Roskilde Festival in Denmark.  In 2008 he performed on Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica. In 2009, 2011 & 2014 he performed at Summerjam in Germany. In 2012 he performed at Chiemsee Reggae Summer in Germany.  Anthony B has pioneered as a representative for conscious reggae music through his performances in New Dehli, India, Czech Republic, Iceland, Argentina, Venezuela and on Reunion Island, in the Indian Ocean.  

In 2014 & 2015 he appeared  at Rototom festival in Spain.  In August 2016 Anthony B headlined the 32nd annual Reggae on the River festival in Humboldt County California, closing out the last night of the event.  His last appearance there was in 2013.  

Fans across Europe have experienced several shows this Spring 2016 with Anthony B making stops in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, and the Netherlands.  Summer has included a performance at Afrika Karabik Festival in Germany.  Anthony B performed at  Ruhr Summer Festival in Germany,  Czad Festival in Poland and One Drop Festival in Austria as part of the European summer 2016 festival season.  

 In May, 2016 Anthony B performed on the Gazebo music program on RAI TV in Italy, as the third Jamaican reggae artist ever to appear on a national broadcast,  Bob Marley and Peter Tosh both appeared on separate occasions.

His heavy touring schedule has not slowed Anthony B's stream of releases with 30 albums to date and over 1000 singles and guest appearances on over 100 albums in the last 15 years. Beginning in 2008 he released albums under his own Born Fire Music label imprint.  As for co-signs with other artists, Anthony B has collaborated with Bone Crusher, Akon, Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg and more. His most recent single “Best Of The Best” featured a collaboration with Capleton and Sizzla that included a playful animated video of the three artists released in June 2016.  The song was included on Anthony B’s most recent album TEARS OF LUV released in October  2015 on Born Fire Music. 

Anthony B's musical journey  started in the church, back when he was still known as Keith Anthony Blair in Clark's Town in the parish of Trelawny. In this part of rural Jamaica, Anthony B was immersed in the thunderous chants and rhythms of Revivalism and the Seventh Day Adventist church where he honed his vocal style. 

In his formative years, the artist is also inspired by the music of Otis Redding and the incomparable Peter Tosh. When Anthony B left his home town and set out to make his fateful mark on Kingston's music scene in 1992, he rebuked the trend of girl and gun lyrics popular at that time and remained faithful to words of spiritual consciousness and social conviction, a tendency he has never strayed from throughout his career .  Anthony B's rich vocals and audacious lyrics carry consistency and substance which are both rare in an industry affected by trends towards the extreme in its content. Internationally his fanbase has grown due to his engaging stage presence and the universal concerns of suffering and salvation in his lyrical delivery.  As the artist explains "The greatest thing about reggae music is that it's about concepts and ideas, you are speaking to people on issues they live and can relate to."  Recording and performing live continue Anthony B’s legacy as he proves himself to be one of Reggae's most prolific and engaging artists, an electrifying performer whose music engages the public’s social conscience.

In the process, he has raised the quality of performance standards and lyrical content for the industry, through the release of 13 albums, over 1000 singles and appearances on over 100 albums in the last 14 years.   Anthony B's musical journey started in the church, back when he was still called Keith Anthony Blair in Clark's Town, Trelawney. He started working with singer Little Devon, who introduced him to Richard "Bell" Bello, of Star Trail Records, producer for Garnet Silk and Everton Blender. Bell saw the talent of the youngster and shared his commitment to conscious music. The partnership produced a slew of records and releases, such as "Repentance time", "Fire pon Rome", "One Thing", "A De Man", "Rumour" and "Raid di Barn". Anthony B followed up with critically acclaimed albums such as " Real Revolutionary", "Universal Struggle", "7 Seals", "Black Star" and "Untouchable". He also struck out on his own to start his own label, Born Fire Records in 2002. He produced 3 albums independently; Street Knowledge, That's Life and Life Over Death. In addition he released two collaboration albums "Too Strong" with Sizzla and "Three Wise Men" with Sizzla and Luciano.   Anthony B's lyrical genius and his captivating, energetic performance style have caused him to be heavily requested for performances in the Caribbean, North America, Europe and Africa. Anthony B personally rates his performance in 1999 at the Montrose Jazz Festival as a monumental event in his career. In 2003 and 2004, he was given a King's welcome in Gambia and Senegal. In 2004, he sold out shows in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, France, Italy and Germany; closing for such greats as Israel Vibration and Burning Spear.

He also opened up new regions for reggae music through his performances in New Dehli, India, Czech Republic, Iceland, Argentina, Venezuela and on France's Reunion Island, in the Indian Ocean.   His heavy touring schedule has not slowed Anthony B's stream of releases. Over the years, he has collaborated with Bone Crusher, Akon, Wyclef Jean, Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, Martina, an on his latest album, Toots.   Anthony B's rich vocals and audacious lyrics carry a depth and substance which is rare in the industry. Internationally, his fan-base has grown because he speaks about the universal concerns of suffering and salvation. "The greatest thing about reggae music is that it's about concepts and ideas," says the artiste, "you are speaking to people on issues they live and can relate to."  

Anthony B's latest hit singles include "Sleeping In the Rain", "Satisfaction", "Bad From Long Time", and "Teaser" and come from his highly-anticipated 13th album, "Life Over Death". In January 2009, Anthony is set to release yet another album with Greensleeves Records. The album, "Rise" produced by Frenchy Maximum Sound, continues Anthony's legacy as he proves himself to be one of Reggae's most prolific and engaging artistes, an electrifying performer whose music grips the public social conscience.

It seems that the members of the Rastafarian movement have a stronghold on reggae music. Trelawny Parish, Jamaica born Keith Blair adopted the stage name Anthony B and has been drawing upon some of his musical idols like Peter Tosh and Bob Marley to make music of his own. He is lucky enough to tour the world to share the music that he is so passionate about.

His live shows seem to be a heck of a lot of fun. With a band consisting of a keyboardist, guitarist, drummer, and bassist and back up vocals backing him, he enjoys his time on the stage. The stage is set so that there is a Jamaican flag and a lion behind him, completely lit up. He clearly loves performing, and loves to get the crowd involved, things like waving their arms or clapping to the beat. That is just the beginning of the interaction that he tries to maintain with the crowd. Between songs he likes to speak to them, and immediately gets into the next song. Everyone in the crowd loves his stage presence, and you can tell by the ear-deafening cheer that they give him at the end of EVERY song.

Anthony B counts among reggae's greatest artists, and he's a fantastic performer too. For his 2017 concert at the New Parish it looked like he was backed by local-ish musicians. This was a delightful show with a relatively mature audience that was fully engaged and dancing. The openers were awesome too, particularly Mr. Mego, a Bay Area reggae musician and talented song writer.

Anthony B talks Billboard entry, new album, touring

Reggae artiste Anthony B says the collaboration Wind Me Up with Grammy-winning and multi-platinum-selling American Christian music recording artiste Dante Bowe came by the request of the artiste and his management team.

“The collaboration came by the request of Dante and his management team. They reached out to me and from the moment that I heard the song, it was on fire. I said yes, let’s make it happen, and that was it,” Anthony B disclosed in an interview with the Jamaica Observer last week Tuesday.

The song has moved up on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart. This is Anthony B’s first entry here.

According to Anthony B, the response to the song has been good and a video, which was recently completed, is expected to be released shortly.

“Hearing that the song has entered the Billboard R&B chart is a blessed feeling, one of accomplishment for both me and Dante. This is my first time being on a Billboard R&B chart,” said Anthony B.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Anthony B has carved out a name for himself in Jamaican music circles. He has to date released more than 20 studio albums and is known for hit singles including Bad Cop, Raid Di Barn, and Fire Pon Rome.

The Trelawny native recently released the album Bread and Butter , his first since 2020’s King in My Castle.

Said Anthony B: “The fans can expect the album to be musically creative, cultural, and inspiring.”

Production for the album features the likes of Massive B, Cali Roots, House of Riddim, S Class Beats, Mint Records, Trainline Records, Born Fire Music, and Neva Stop Bookings.

Released via Ineffable Records, Bread and Butter has 16 tracks, including the collaborations Revolution featuring Zamunda, Bramma and Lina Mulan; Irie Love featuring Robbyn Goode; Stand Firm featuring Chronic Law; and Everybody featuring Busy Signal.

“This project is more creative than most of my other albums because it’s not just a roots or just reggae album; it’s a mixture of roots reggae and dancehall with many other styles and influences such as Afrobeat and hip hop,” said Anthony B.

He shared the inspiration behind the album’s title.

“What inspired the album’s title Bread and Butter is the fact that music is not just a culture to us. As Jamaican artistes and musicians it’s our bread and butter; the ways I use to take care of our families, friends and communities. That’s why it is called #breadandbutter.”

Anthony B is currently on a multi-country tour promoting Bread and Butter.

“I’ve been on tour since June 15. We started in Boston, USA, and I am now in Europe. I did a few festivals in the Caribbean. We will take a break from the tour in December and resume in early 2024 in Gambia, Africa, to close off [that] leg of the tour,” said Anthony B.

This metro tour of Russia’s capital and most populous city, Moscow, is your chance to get a unique insight into the beautiful and impressive architecture of the city's underground stations. Admire their marble walls and high ceilings representing Stalin's desire for glory after World War 2, and see first-hand how the interiors change with the rise of new political eras. Your guide will lead you through the complex network, which is one of the most heavily used rapid transit systems worldwide, with over two billion travelers in 2011.

Opened in 1935, Moscow’s underground system, now 190 miles (305 km) long with 185 stations, is today one the largest and most heavily used rapid transit systems in the world. On this Moscow metro tour, discover the impressive architecture of Moscow’s underground stations and learn how they reflect the Soviet era.

Getting around by metro, your local guide will take you through parts of Moscow’s infamous history. Stop at stations built during the time of the USSR (Soviet Union) that are praised as one of the most extravagant architectural projects from Stalin’s time. After World War 2, he was keen on establishing Stalinist architecture to represent his rising regime and a recognized empire. The culture shock ratings considers the destination visited, transport used, activities undertaken and that "Wow, I'm really not at home now!" factor. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…

This is the least confronting of our tour range. Transport used on the trip is either private or a very comfortable public option, the activities included are usually iconic sites and locations that are not all too confronting.

The tour can include a mix of private and public transport providing a level of comfort that is slightly below what you would experience at home. Sites visited are usually iconic sites, tours can also include market visits, visits to communities etc that provide the traveller with a fantastic insight into destination.

Expect to rough it for parts of this tour, whether it's a packed public bus where you are forced to stand, a visit to a local market, a local community, you are sure to have an experience that is very different from what you're used to at home.

The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.

You're out there in the global community! You are likely to be exposed to the elements, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough.

These tours involve a bit of physical activity from walking up and down hills in the destination you're travelling in or the surrounding areas. Climbing on and off local transport or riding a bike up to 30 kms along predominantly flat terrain or jumping in a kayak for a gentle paddle on flat water.

These Tours will provide you with some solid physical activity. Whether its bike riding, walking, trekking, kayaking or riding on public transport you will need to have a good level of fitness to enjoy this tour.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
