The series concluded in December 28, 2018 with episode 5.13, " The End of Everything ".
A prequel series, Black Summer , has debuted since. Its first season has eight episodes, which have all been released in Netflix in April 2019. It has an entirely different tone, cast and plot, but occurs in the same universe as Z Nation . A second season has been released since then, continuing certain storylines.
