What To Bring On Paros Boat Tours?

Your Paros boat tour packing list will look a lot like a regular boat trip packing list. If you’ve never been on a boat day trip here’s what you’ll need to pack:

 • Bag (ideally waterproof, if not, at least a waterproof pouch for electronics)
 • Water bottle
 • A hoodie or a cardigan

You won’t need a waterproof bag on every type of boat trip. If you’re taking a larger boat, your stuff will probably stay dry as there is a dedicated dry space to put it. However, if you’re on a smaller speed boat, the water will likely splash everywhere!

A swimsuit (and something dry to change into!) is a must if you’ll be swimming on the trip.

You can take a regular beach towel, but if you’re backpacking Cyclades you probably have a quick dry microfibre towel. It works great, and I love mine!

Sunscreen is a must! There’s no debate about that one. Putting it on before you go won’t be enough. Make sure to have a bottle of sunscreen with you, the sun is strong in Paros!

Some of Paros boat trips will serve food or even a full lunch! However, as a vegan, I always pack some snacks in case there are no vegan options available

Even if you’re traveling to Paros in summer, it can get chilly at night. Also, speedboats are very windy, so a hoodie can come in handy. Worst case scenario, you’ll wrap yourself in a towel.

I love to take a GoPro on boat tours as it is waterproof (and saltwater resistant, unlike the iPhone!) and you can take incredible underwater photos.

Best Places To Visit On Boat Trips From Paros?

OK, you know you want to take a Paros sailing tour, but you’re not sure where to go.

The Small Cyclades are the best place to discover on a sailing tour from Paros. These small islands are often overlooked as most of them are inhabited and too small to spend a night. They are also popular day trips from Naxos , as the beaches are incredible!

Antiparos is an island right next to Paros, and it is one of the best day trips from Paros you can take.

Naxos is the largest island in the Cyclades, with some of the most beautiful white sand beaches. With a boat tour, you get to visit more remote beaches that are harder to reach by land.

Mykonos is infamous as one of the most expensive Cyclades to visit. However, it is a beautiful island, and combined with a trip to Delos is a must-see in the Cyclades. Joining a day trip from Paros is an excellent way to enjoy the island and avoid overpriced accommodation in Mykonos.

Paros boat cruises depart from multiple ports throughout the island – Piso Livadi Port, Pounta Port, Naoussa Port, and Parikia Port. Parikia is the main ferry port you would take to get around the Cyclades, but most boat cruises depart from smaller ports around the island.

Yes, you can book several boat trips departing from Naoussa, Paros. That is perfect for those staying in Paros without a car , as you don’t have to worry about getting to the departure point. At the same time, many Paros boat tours offer complimentary hotel pick-up!

Yes, you can join a Paros sunset cruise. There are group and private Paros sunset cruises. With a private sunset cruise, the whole boat is reserved just for you and your group. Those traveling solo or in a group of fewer than 4 people can join a group Paros sunset sailing available as well!

Final Thoughts: Best Paros Boat Tours

Paros is one of the most versatile islands in the Cyclades, and you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the incredible things to do in Paros .

Whether you want to relax on a yacht sailing and discover hidden beaches or you want to explore Paros and other nearby islands, there’s a boat tour Paros offers made for you.

Grab your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen, and get ready to have an incredible day in the Cyclades!

⛵ This Paros: Full-Day Sailing Yacht Cruise is my TOP pick for Paros boat tours!

PANTASOULAS DAILY CRUISES

Ilias Pantasoulas, the founder of the Pantasoulas Daily Cruises, always had an intimate relationship with the sea as he was raised in a fishing family (fourth generation of fishermen). He spent his childhood in his father's fishing boat, getting to know the sea like the palm of his hand. After graduating as an Electronic engineer, he decided to return back to Paros and his beloved sea, and start his own business. Back in 2017, he bought an old fishing boat, and with a lot of work by himself, family members and friends, he turned it into a brand new, fully-equipped, traditional cruise boat.

During summertime Ilias and his sister, Dimitra, are waiting to welcome you onboard. They sail you to crystal clear waters, offering a unique cruising experience, and serving you high-quality homemade seafood, fished with their family fishing boat.

Maybe you want to celebrate a special occasion, like an anniversary, birthday, engagement, or you simply feel the need to be alone with your partner or family in the cruise?

The crown jewel of our services is undoubtedly our private sunset cruise..

boat cruises in paros

We can not recommend this experience enough. Captain Ilias and Dimitra were amazing. Nothing but class, we did the wine and snack sunset cruise. We are happy we left this for the end of the trip, because nothing can compare. Very easy to book, we emailed captain Ilias who responded promptly. We also called him to verify our departure. Best way to enjoy the sunset on paros or any of the islands, in our opinion. 5 stars in every category.

We spent two weeks in Greece and visited three islands and this was by far the best thing that we did! The boat is run by Ilias and his sister Dimitra and it's a true family experience. They cook you an amazing meal on board and the fish is even caught by their brother who is a fisherman then you finish off the trip with homemade dessert from their mother. This experience is exactly what I pictured as far as Greece hospitality not to mention you are sailing around the island to all of these beautiful locations. Do not miss this one while you are in Paros!

For all the people who are planning a boat cruise in Paros I strongly recommend to look not any further. This is the best in Paros. Captain Ilias Pantasoulas brought us to some of the most beautiful private beaches and coves where we had to chance to swim or snorkel and enjoy the Crystal clear Aegean sea , while his amazing sister Dimitra treated us with delicious local snacks and a royal lunch with some of the best Pasta with scampi's I have ever eaten. Besides of that lunch was completed with different fish dishes and salats. Except from juices, soft drinks and Mythos beer we were spoiled with home made white wine from local Paros grapes, brewed by the Pantasoulas family themselves! All by all , we wanted this cruise to continue all day !! Next time we visit Paros this cruise will be repeated.

Just returned from a fabulous day with Ilias, Dimitra and their father on their lovely boat. The day was perfect - right number of people so we all had plenty of space to sit in sun or shade but enough for a fun atmosphere. The boat was very comfortable. 4 lovely stops for swimming and snorkelling, beaches to swim to and a little church to walk up to. Despite it being quite a windy day Ilias found lovely sheltered bays to anchor in and jumping off the boat was great fun. At every stop there was delicious homemade food and drink - plenty to go around. The whole day was relaxing and lots of fun - truly one of the best days and highlights of our trip.

Thanks so much guys for an unforgettable experience x

We had the MOST AMAZING time with Pantasoulas daily cruises! Ilias and Dimitra are the loveliest people and made our experience so wonderful. Seeing Paros by boat afforded us access to hidden, gorgeous, remote, secluded beaches and coves with the BLUEST water you can imagine. We had so much fun snorkeling, swimming, exploring the beaches, and basking in the sunshine with the epic backdrops. Ilias and Dimitra are locals to Paros and truly know all the best places! Plus, the duration of the excursion allowed us enough time to relax without feeling rushed. It was truly the perfect day. The boat itself was gorgeously restored and so comfortable and the food was absolutely incredible. Genuinely, this excursion is worth it for the food alone!!! Everything was so fresh (caught/made/prepared by the family) and absolutely delicious- some of the best Greek food and drink we've ever had in all of Greece. The photos don't do it justice- you need to book this tour! Thank you so much for a perfect, romantic, fun, and exciting day! We loved every minute and can't wait to return someday!

My wife and I had an incredible day on the boat, in fact it was the best day of our holiday/honeymoon! Ilias and his sister (I believe) were the best hosts. So knowledgeable, fantastic food, a generous amount of homemade wine and beers. When we return to Paros, we will 100% be booking for another trip! Thank you

We are two friends who traveled to Paros for a couple of days, as part of our 1-week trip through the Aegean islands. From the start, we had decided that one day we would like to take a boat tour, and based on the good reviews of the Pantasoulas Daily Cruises, we booked this one. We were not disappointed. Ilias and his sister Dimitra offered the type of experience that, I believe, we are all looking for. A laid-back, fun day at the sea, with many opportunities to jump in the sea, swim to small beaches, and even visit a tiny church on a small island. I really appreciated being guided by two locals who know the island like the back of their hand, and who are genuinely happy to share their knowledge with you. And I can only confirm what many others have already said about the food: it was absolutely delicious!! So if you are looking for a day trip out to the sea while you are in Paros, don't think twice, book Pantasoulas Cruises before they are booked out.

We did the daily cruise and it was amazing!! Such a fun day on a private boat (myself and 4 friends) and worth every penny. We were provided with excellent food, lots of wine and snorkeling equipment. The staff were so nice and relaxed. This was by far the best day of our holiday!!! HONESTLY COULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE ENOUGH!!! 10/10

Thank you guys!!!

This daily cruise was AMAZING! Captain Ilias and Dimitra were friendly and attentive during the trip. The food was unreal (especially the greek salad and tzatziki). We stopped at many beautiful spots and had plenty of time to explore the water and land. Highly recommend booking with Pantasoulas if you want to explore Paros from the water.

By FAR, the best sailing excursion I have EVER been on. Captain Ilias and his sister are so nice and go out of their way to make sure your trip is everything you could imagine and then some. Nothing beats the fresh seafood lunch and homemade wine offered throughout your 6 hour trip. You can tell that they put their heart into this excursion. I cannot stop raving about how fresh and delicious the food was! All the swimming spots were beautiful and we loved hearing about what made them each so unique. Do not miss this opportunity!

If you are planning a trip at Naoussa, Paros this is one of the must do activities!! They offer 2 cruises daily, one in daytime and one in the afternoon ( "sunset cruise" ). My wife and I we decided to go on the daytime cruise and we couldn't have better experience. We started from the little scenic port of Naoussa at sailed around the bay visiting few private beaches. It was a full day of fun, swimming, drinking and eating!! The crew is amazing!! Ilias the captain is a knowledgeable young captain and fun to talk and he will share all the tips and stories of the island! Also he is the cook where he cooked up a storm of delicious seafood while we where swimming ing at the crustal blue waters of Paros. His family's homemade wine is something not to be missed... I would definitely recommend this to everyone either you are looking for a family activity or a day spend with friends.

What an amazing experience!! Everyone visiting Paros should do a daily cruise if only to visit the exclusive beaches. The crew was fantastic- very kind and friendly. We visited 4 or 5 different sites that otherwise wouldn't have been possible by car or on foot. In the cruise we also got to enjoy traditional Greek food cooked by the owners' ad hoc (amazing to watch), and taste 2 different Greek wines again from the owners' vineyards. I would 100% recommend it - its an experience that should not missed!

The best experience we had in Paros. Ilias and his sister made us feel at home. Thanks to them we had the opportunity to visit a small corner of paradise in this magical island. The food was superb, and love the fact that this is a family business. Hope to be back soon!

This is a MUST when visiting Paros. Captain Ilias and his sister made us feel right at home as we sailed through various places on the island. I'd recommend booking a private tour as you have more room to move around the boat and feels more special. The food that was made was also AMAZING! We had two vegetarians with us, and Captain Ilias and his sister went above and beyond to accommodate their dietary restrictions. This was absolutely our best day in Paros. We will be back!!! Thank you again!!

We loved so much the sunset private cruise of the Pantasoulas' family in Naoussa on the island of Paros and if we could we would enjoy a cruise with them every day! Everything was perfect from the warm welcome on board of a fully renewed traditional old fishing boat cruising across the magnificent bay of Naoussa, to the excellent dinner with local super fresh ingredients and drinks. The atmosphere on board is magic, quiet and very relaxing. The owners are young and authentic people and their father is a well known fisherman. The delicious seafood we had for dinner was just caught, the wine and the vegetables come from the family's property. I would never say that this is a touristic activity, it's rather a truly beautiful and genuine experience of parian hospitality, culture and tradition that you can't miss when in Paros. Can't wait to be back again. A big thank you to the Pantasoulas ;-)

I mean I think the reviews speak for themselves, but what an incredible day. My Greece trip was so incredible each day, but even amongst all of that, the boat day with Ilias and Demetria stood out as maybe the best.

Ilias and Demetria are just incredible hosts. Two incredibly kind, happy, hard-working people, that make it truly special. The boat is traditional and unique, but still very comfortable. They sail aroudn the north coast of Paros to various crystal clear aqua blue waters you can swim in. The views, water, and general boat experience were fantastic.

Now, for the food. I do not know how they possibly cooked all of that food on that little boat, but wow. When I spoke with them, they talked up Yemeni Wine bar as the best restaurant in Paros. I went to dinner there that evening, and I can honestly say it did not hold a candle to Ilias and Demetria's food. In fact, over my 10-day trip, it was probably a top 3 meal I had in Greece. The food was UNREAL. So fresh, so well prepared, so much food. Wine and beer flowing the entire day. The cost is justified by the food alone, let alone, the drinks, the boat day, etc.

Do yourself a favor, book this trip!

We booked the all-day semi private cruise and had the most incredible day out with Ilias and the crew.

The boat is a historic fishermen's vessel with lots of beautiful details. All amenities on the boat were immaculate (seats, bathroom, snorkelling gears etc). We were taken to four beautifully pristine spots to swim at, all either private or semi private areas that ate only accessible by boat.

To top it all off, the quality of the food served on the boat was above and beyond what we expected on a cruise - all beautifully prepared by Ilias' family. We had plenty of homemade snacks and drinks (local wine and beer) throughout the day, and the lunch was UN-REAL (everybody clapped as it was served to us).

Huge thank you to Ilias and the crew for their amazing hospitality - this was easily the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the Cyclades and we will remember this experience for a very long time!

I have been on several Catamaran Cruises and let me just tell you, this one was by far the best. The Pantasoulas family was so kind and generous and let me not forget the food experience on board was incredible. This is the best way to get to know the islands of Greece during your trip to Paros. If you want an unforgettable experience during your visit, please book a tour with this family, you will not regret it. The pictures will speak for itself.

This was the best day of our holiday! We have done many boat trips over the last few years but this trip is by far the best! Beautiful boat with plenty of space for relaxing, ran by the most lovely and friendliest we family. The food provided is all home cooked and everything was delicious! We stopped off at gorgeous beaches and swam in the most incredible turquoise waters! Highly recommend this trip to everyone and it's worth every penny!

Our second visit to Paros and our second time with Pantasoulas - if anything even better than the first trip! From the moment we stepped on board, everyone felt like family! An extremely comfortable, beautifully restored boat with plenty of space, shade and of course diving points! Delicious home made (and home grown/home caught!) food - lovely snacks and a fabulous seafood lunch. Home made wine, plenty of beer and soft drinks and superb Greek coffee. The beaches visited were beautiful and the water was amazing - so blue and inviting. Noodles, snorkels and fins were provided.. We had the best day and Ilias, Dimitra and their father looked after us so well - nobody wanted to get off the boat at all. Our best day in Greece with the best food without a doubt. We will be back!!

10/10 for Captain Elias, his sister Dimitra and their crew! I booked their private sunset dinner cruise for 26 guests the day after my daughter's wedding. Everything about the evening was perfection! I quite literally can't think of anything they could have done better. The crew was gracious and welcoming... true Greek hospitality,"philotimo" at it's finest. The opportunities to take a swim provided a great deal of fun and contributed to making it a fantastic experience. Then, there was the food! The appetizers, drinks and seafood dinner were all amazing. Combine all that with the beauty of the waters of Paros and you've got a true 5-star experience! I highly recommend Pantasoulas Daily Cruises to anyone visiting Paros! Thank you Captain Elias and Dimitra for the perfect close to my daughter's wedding weekend!

Everything about this tour was perfect, a total highlight of our holiday. Ilias, Dimitria and their family provided a wonderful experience.

We made four stops throughout the day, all of which were incredibly beautiful. Snorkels, goggles and flippers were all provided so we could experience the wildlife.

Refreshments and a delicious home-cooked lunch were very generously provided throughout the day. My partner is gluten intolerant and was served special gluten free versions of the food that were equally fantastic. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating.

I would absolutely recommend this to anybody visiting Paros and come back if I were returning- thank you for an incredible day Ilias & Dimitria!

This cruise was an absolute DELIGHT. Ilias & Dimitra have curated the best cruise in Paros and it ended up being our favorite day! It exceeded expectations and was even so much better than our catamaran cruise in Santorini. It is a local family affair run by siblings. Mama Pantasoula made some divine treats for us to eat and the rest of the food made on board was AMAZING. Waters were perfect. Cruise was perfect. Stops were perfect. We swam and snorkeled and it was so much fun. After telling them how amazing everything was, they said it was unfortunate that we couldn't go to one of the best stops due to the wind, but I could not fathom how it could have been any better. Thank you to the entire Pantasoulas family for making our trip so special!

Wow what an amazing day with Pantasoulas. We had the best time on the on the shared day cruise with Captain Ilias and Dimitra. A wonderful family set up - including father, son and daughter as the boat crew who are so friendly, and their mother who cooks a number of the tasty dishes. The lunch is outstanding and cooked freshly on the boat (calamari & shrimp spaghetti are fantastic). The trip included four stops at beautiful and remote locations in north Paros only accessible by boat. They also catered to my husband's shellfish allergy with great care. Highly recommend!

We did the semi-private day cruise & it was the best boat tour of all the boat tours we did in Greece! Elias & Dimitra were extremely helpful, kind, and a delight to get to know. They brought us to the best snorkelling locations with crystal-clear waters! The lunch was absolutely phenomenal & definitely one of our favourite meals in Paros. The other passengers were fantastic as well - 10/10 would recommend Pantasolous Daily Cruises!

Most wonderful experience ... if you're in Paros, you have to book this boat trip.. the boat, tour, views, food ... and especially the very lovely and attentive service on board (Dimitra and Ilias were the perfect hosts). They make you love the sea, even when windy. Very highly recommended. If we come back to Paros, we'll book this tour again and again,

We absolutely enjoyed our cruise. We did some swimming, snorkelling, drinking and eating amazing freshly caught and home cooked seafood. Seriously, the food was SO good. Pantasoulas cruises is very much a family business and you can see this through the care they put into making the whole experience so wonderful. We highly recommend!

This is a must do if you're looking to rent a boat out of Paros/Naousa for a day. Ilias & Dimitra were incredible hosts on board. They are both super friendly and very knowledgable. They took us to all these amazing spots around Paros to swim, snorkel, and just have fun (equipment included). The homemade food they provided was incredible and the drinks kept following. Easily a highlight of our Greece trip

This family owned and run trip was one of the best experiences in our trip to the Greek Islands. Ilias and his sister Dimitra are genuine hosts and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone on board is comfortable. My girlfriend and I enjoyed all the beautiful stops across the island. The homemade baked treats, lunch, and desserts were above our expectations. We would definitely visit Paros alone just for this tour!

This is by far the best cruise I have experienced in Greece. The care and kindness that the Pantasoulas family shows every single guest makes this an unforgettable experience. Dimitra and Ilias are amazing, truly love what they do, and enjoy sharing their Paros culture with everyone onboard. The food is second to none, no one better. Every single item they serve is delicious. The tour of around paros to the various places to jump off the boat was a true delight. Thank you for making our vacation one we will never forget!!! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would! Ευχάριστο!

Nothing compares to the feeling of being on a boat with such close ties to the area you’re exploring!

So, if you’re travelling in a group or as a family, opting for a private boat tour from Paros might actually save you money, and bring the individual cost lower than if you all joined a public tour.

Best Places to Visit on Boat Trips from Paros

Plaka beach Naxos

With so many ancient ruins, beautiful beaches and an out-of-this-world range of local dishes to sample, you’ll wish you could stay overnight on Naxos. On a boat trip from Paros, you won’t have the chance to follow my full Naxos itinerary , but you can certainly see its best bits, like the iconic Portara monument that dates back to ancient times and the delightful streets of Naxos Town.

It’s easy to get away from it all on Despotiko – and that’s because there’s nobody there! Despotiko is an uninhabited island in the Cyclades that’s quickly becoming a favourite among day-trippers on Paros day boat trips. Expect pristine beaches with silky sand, crystal clear waters, and a sense of peace that you won’t find anywhere else. And if you fancy a little bit of ancient history, there are ruins of temples that date back to the 6th century BC on the island!

Iraklia is a charming island that’s not yet on everyone’s radar! With quiet beaches, crystal-clear waters, and hiking trails that give you awe-inspiring views, it’s perfect for those looking to escape the crowds. And that’s not all – Iraklia is also home to a sunken World War II hydroplane, which you can snorkel around and explore.

Antiparos is a small, charming island just off the coast of Paros that’s definitely worth a visit! It’s basically Paros… but better! With its crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and the most gorgeous traditional streets you’ve ever seen, visiting Antiparos on a day trip from Paros is essential! And who knows, you might even stumble upon a few A-list celebs who’ve made Antiparos their summertime playground!

Delos Island is a slice of ancient Greek history that’s well worth your time when you’re in the Cyclades. This UNESCO World Heritage site is steeped in mythology (Apollo, the God of Light, was said to have been born there). Think ruins, pristine pathways lined with pillars, a lion avenue, and so much more.

To explore one of the most famous Greek islands without breaking the bank, take a boat trip from Paros to Mykonos! You’ll get to enjoy all the glamour and glitz of this mystical island without having to worry about shelling out loads on accommodation.

The island’s signature pristine whitewashed architecture and blue-domed churches are the main draw, but keep your eyes peeled. You never know when you’ll run into a celebrity or two – Mykonos is a favourite among the jet set!

Boat Tours in Paros vs Naxos

Snorkelling woman blowing a kiss underwater in the tropical sea on Paros boat tours.

Because Paros and Naxos are located so close to each other, it’s no surprise that many boat tours from both islands stop at similar locations. There are a few differences between boat trips from the two islands, though.

Many boat tours from Paros, for instance, make a stop at Antiparos, a teeny-tiny island that’s a favourite among celebs. So, if you just have to visit Antiparos (and who could blame you?), then choosing a boat tour from Paros is a no-brainer.

On the other hand, Naxos boat trips can take you to visit Rina Cave, one of the most picturesque spots in the whole Cyclades Islands. So, if exploring the cave sounds more up your alley, jumping on a boat trip from Naxos is definitely the way to go.

Honestly, if you have the time, you really can’t go wrong taking boat trips from both Paros and Naxos? Trust me, the coastlines of these two islands are insanely stunning.

You might end up doing a few of the same activities – like taking a dip and devouring a Greek BBQ lunch – but the stops you’ll make from these two destinations will be completely different. And I’ve got you covered – I’ve already written a guide to the best Naxos boat trips !

When is the Best Time to go on a Paros Boat Tour?

Ella on a Paros boat tour in Greece

It’s worth keeping in mind that most Paros boat tours usually run only from mid-April to the middle of October when the weather is just right for a fantastic tour. Not all summer months are equal when it comes to heading out on Paros boat tours, though.

If you’re dead set on a boat tour in Paros during July or August, better book your seat now, my friend! The most popular Paros boat tours fill up weeks in advance, so you don’t want to be left high and dry (pun intended) by waiting until the last minute. Book now, and thank me later.

Planning on going in June or September? These months offer perfect weather without being too crowded or scorching hot, so you’ll get to fully enjoy your boat tour without any worries. I went on my Paros boat tour in September, and the weather was absolutely perfect – hot and sunny, with warm water, without being absolutely sweltering.

What to Pack for a Paros Boat Tour

When packing for a boat tour in Paros, there are a few things you should definitely keep in mind. First and foremost, a dry bag is crucial – trust me on this one! During my own boat tour, all the bags (except mine, woohoo!) got soaked by splashing waves. But because I had my trusty dry bag packed and ready to go, all my belongings stayed completely dry all day long 🌞.

Want to capture some underwater footage of your Paros boat tour, but don’t have a GoPro? No problemo! I’ve got you covered with this super affordable waterproof phone lanyard that lets you take photos and videos while keeping your phone dry and close at hand.

Lastly, don’t forget to bring a quick-dry towel like this one . They’re a lifesaver when you’re on a boat since they dry super fast and repel sand like a boss. Plus, they roll up into a tiny bundle that’s easy to pack. Happy sailing!

Conclusion: Best Boat Tours in Paros

Paros, Greece is truly a magical place to embark on a boat tour, and you’d be a fool to miss out! With its charming coastal scenery, exploring the island by sea is an absolute must. Whether you’re into lively parties or peaceful sunset views, there’s a boat tour out there for everyone. I decided to travel the Greek Islands solo , and I met loads of new friends on my Paros boat trip!

So, what are you waiting for? Hit the waves, and add a boat trip to your Paros itinerary to create unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!

10 Best Boat Tours in Paros

 • 0 Pinterest

Located in the heart of the Aegean Sea, Paros is part of the Cyclades island group. Close to Naxos and a major hub for ferries and boats traveling out to smaller islands, Paros is a slice of heaven filled with sunlight, golden beaches, and deep blue water perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Paros itself is a great example of Cyclades architecture , with its beautiful whitewashed walls and blue-painted roofs and doors. It’s also filled with great restaurants , buzzing cafes and nightlife , seafood taverns, and inviting beaches just steps away from the town center.

A walk around Paros is a photographer’s dream too – from the blue-domed St. Nikolas chapel to the crystal-clear bay and fishing boats by the pier, you’ll find plenty of picture-perfect spots to shoot with your camera (or phone!).

Then, of course, Paros is also an excellent location for island hopping . Get on a boat in Paros and within minutes you’ll reach serene and secluded beaches, swimming holes perfect for enjoying the blue sea and the wild beauty of cliffs, soft sand, and cobblestone streets zigzagging through tiny traditional villages.

Some of the best snorkeling and swimming in Greece can be found around Paros, where islands are filled with wild beauty and teeming with rich marine life. You don’t even have to worry about renting equipment – if you take a boat tour or day cruise , the snorkeling gear is usually included.

No matter how busy Paros gets, peace is just one island away. Luckily, some of the best boat tours in Paros run for most of the year, so even if you arrive in the low season, you still will be able to explore the Greek islands easily and comfortably .

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed day out to a neighboring island, an exclusive boat rental for privacy (and a touch of luxury), or an action-packed day out in the water, there’s a boat tour to suit your needs.

1 – Mykonos and Delos

Delos and Mykonos boat tours from Paros

Ancient Delos and cosmopolitan Mykonos couldn’t be more different, which is why combining them into a single trip is such a great idea. Not only do you get access to two of the most popular day trips from Paros but you also get to travel in the comfort of a cruise, enjoying the views over the sea and even getting a chance to swim.

Your full-day 10-hour cruise starts when you’re picked up at your hotel from central Paros and taken straight to the cruise. Remember to pack plenty of snacks and drinks for the day, as the tour doesn’t include this.

From there, you’ll sail to Delos, the mythological birthplace of the god Apollo. Today, the uninhabited island is covered in ruins of temples, homes and ancient mosaics. There’s even an on-site museum showcasing artifacts recovered during excavations on the island.

Delos and Mykonos boat trips from Paros

You’ll have three hours to enjoy the archeological park on your own or you can hire a private guide or join a group tour after arrival. The entrance fee to the park is not included in this tour, so make sure you bring cash if you want to enjoy the ruins.

Also, there’s very little shade in Delos, so bring a hat, plenty of water, and sun protection, especially if you’re traveling during the summer. Swimming is not allowed on Delos, but don’t worry, you’ll have a chance to do just that on your next stop.

Next, you’ll head to Mykonos, famous for its cubic Cycladic architecture, great restaurants offering great grilled meats and moussakas, and traditional white and blue houses.

Use your three free hours on the island to go for a swim, wander the narrow alleyways and discover boutique shops and cozy cafes, and climb the hill to visit the historic windmills and enjoy the views over the deep blue seas.

You will then head back to Paros, arriving in the early evening.

2 – Santorini

Santorini boat tours from Paros

At the top of the list of the best boat tours in Paros is a trip to Santorini . The island of Santorini is famous for its blue-domed churches, white houses against breathtaking turquoise waters, and stunning bays and beaches that are known around the world.

While you could easily spend a week exploring the beauty of Santorini, the island is often packed with tourists and very expensive during the high season.

A good alternative to staying there is to take a full-day cruise tour so you can enjoy the best that Santorini has to offer before heading back to Paros.

After being picked up at your centrally located hotel (or arriving to the port on your own if you’re staying nearby at Piso Livadi), this 11-hour tour takes you to the two most popular stops in Santorini, the whitewashed towns of Firá and Oia .

Santorini, Greece

You’ll sail through the Aegean Sea until you get close to the beautiful caldera cliffs of Santorini and dock at Athinios Port. Here, you’ll get on a private bus for your land tour of Santorini.

You’ll first head to Oia, a picturesque village known for its cave houses built right into the volcanic rock, as well as the charming little passageways and alleys connecting old buildings.

Your next stop is Fira, Santorini’s capital, where you’ll have free time to explore on your own, grab lunch or take the cable car from the port to the heart of the town (if you don’t want to take the cable car, you can walk up the 600 steps up to the town center).

Fira is famous for its stunning volcanic landscape, but the town also offers picturesque old churches, panoramic bay views, and some great shopping. After a long day exploring the beauty of Santorini, the bus will pick you up and drive you back to the port to start your way back to Paros.

TIP: Make sure you pack sun protection, plenty of water, and snacks for the trip.

3 – Iraklia and Schinoussa

Iraklia and Schinoussa boat tours from Paros

You don’t have to travel far from Paros to enjoy an incredible day out in the water. Neighboring islands Iraklia and Schinoussa offer direct access to the beautiful blue Aegean Sea for all the swimming and snorkeling you might want.

If you’re ready for it, this full-day tour (which is available as either a private or small group tour for up to 10 passengers) will pair you with an experienced captain and crew for a day filled with fun, sun, and incredible scenery.

Your tour starts as you board the boat at the port of Piso Livadi at 9:30 am. Located in the Eastern coast of Paros island in a low-key beach resort town, the port is surrounded by great cafes, unique boutique shops, and some beautiful views. Make your way there with some extra time for a nice walk along the coastline as you wait for your tour to start.

Iraklia and Schinoussa boat trip from Paros

Once on board, you’ll set sail towards your first stop in Iraklia. The island’s secluded Alimia beach is perfect for snorkeling (all gear is included), as you can easily explore a sunken WWII hydroplane. Prefer to just relax in the sea? The tranquil blue waters here are perfect for swimming.

Back on the boat, you can grab a snack as you sail toward your next destination on Schinoussa island. Part of the Small Cyclades islands, Schinoussa is famous for its crystal clear waters and secluded beaches of golden sands where you can relax on the sand or jump into the sea for swimming and snorkeling.

Get back on the back for lunch prepared with fresh local food. Sip on wine as you enjoy your food in the relaxing surroundings before you start sailing again. There’s one extra stop in Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades Islands, where you’ll have a chance for one last swim before you grab some dessert and fruit on board as you make your way back to Piso Livadi.

4 – Catamaran cruise

Catamaran cruise in Paros

Discover the islands that sit around Paros as you sail aboard a catamaran in this full-day cruise. You’ll stop by five different locations to discover breathtaking seascapes and beautiful coastlines, plus sail past many islands for great photos and views.

There’s even WiFi on board so you can share your pictures on social media or with loved ones as you take them.

Your day starts as you’re picked up from your hotel and taken to the port. Here, a crew of two professionals will welcome you aboard and help you get acquainted with the boat.

After a few minutes, it’s time to sit back, relax and start enjoying the sea breeze as you set sail among emerald waters and past the neighboring uninhabited islets of Panteronisi and Glaropounta, and the small peninsula of Tigani with its castle ruins.

Catamaran cruises in Paros

Your captain will find the perfect spot to stop around the islands so you can enjoy time swimming, snorkeling or laying back on the sand under the morning sun. Snorkeling equipment and beach towels are included, but don’t forget to bring sun protection for your trip.

Next, there’s a short stop at the tiny and secluded Faneromeni beach, before continuing on along the southwest coast of Antiparos Island. Here, hidden coves and sea caves offer plenty of opportunities for more snorkeling, but also canoeing and even cliff jumping.

Once back on the catamaran, you’ll find snacks and drinks as you continue to sail past hidden, uninhabited islands surrounded by the most stunning turquoise waters. You’ll stop at Despotiko next, which is uninhabited but home to ancient ruins and excavation sites.

After some free time to explore and play in the water, it’s back to the boat for a freshly prepared traditional Greek lunch and unlimited local beers, wine, soft drinks, and bottled water. As you sail back to the point of departure, there’ll be plenty of time to relax with a glass of wine as you watch the sun fall over the sea.

5 – Small Cyclades

Small Cyclades boat tours from Paros

Ever wondered what it’s like to steer a sailboat into the sea and lose yourself in the lulling of the waves? While you won’t be getting a captain’s license in one day, this all-day tour not only takes you to explore some of the most beautiful islands around Paros, but you’ll also have a chance to learn the basics of sailing. Who knows? You might have a new passion to pursue once you get home!

This 10-hour-long sailing cruise on a modern yacht takes you around the Small Cyclades, a cluster of tiny islands and islets that are mainly uninhabited and famous for their beauty.

Your day starts at the Piso Livadi Port, located about 20 minutes by taxi from Naoussa. Once at the port, the professional English-speaking crew will help you board and get you acquainted with the yacht before you set sail into the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea.

Your itinerary for the day will depend on the weather, as winds and rain can affect the best route. Not to worry, though – Your captain will guide you around the Small Cyclades to find the perfect remote beaches for swimming and snorkeling.

Small Cyclades boat trip from Paros

If the weather allows, you’ll visit the island of Iraklia, famous for its World War II plane wreck, which you can explore as you snorkel in the crystal clear waters. All equipment and gear required for it will be included.

Your next stop will either be at Schinoussa or Koufonisia islands. After enjoying some time in the water, you’ll head back to the yacht for a lunch prepared using fresh ingredients. Unlimited local wine, soft drinks, and bottled water are all included.

After lunch, you’ll have a chance to either lie back on the deck to enjoy the sun, or to join your experienced captain to learn the basics of sailing. This is a great break to unwind and relax before you set sail again, this time towards the coast of Naxos Island for another swim.

If the winds are strong, your captain will head towards Antiparos and Despotiko instead, as these islands offered sheltered coves perfect for a relaxed afternoon of swimming and exploring.

You’ll be back at Paros around 7 pm.

6 – Koufonisia Islands

Koufonisia Islands boat tours from Paros

Koufonisia consists of two islands: the lively Ano Koufonissi with its many restaurants and landmarks, and the uninhabited Kato Koufonissi. Both provide easy access to stunning turquoise waters and golden sand, perfect to unwind and relax.

While there are ferries available to visit the islands, coordinating times to get to both can be tricky, so a full-day boat trip that brings you to the best stops on each island is the perfect solution.

The tour provides round-trip transfer from a number of locations in Paros directly to the port. When you book the trip, make sure you confirm which pick-up spot works better for you.

Your trip starts at the Piso Livadi port, from where you’ll depart in the morning for the 1.5-hour long trip to Pano Koufonissi. Once you get there, you’ll have plenty of free time to explore the village of Agios Georgios, grab a coffee, or walk along the coastline.

Koufonisia Islands boat trips from Paros

This is also a great island to explore on a bike – and rental bikes are available throughout town. Would rather walk? A short hike to the east coast will bring you to soft sandy beaches and hidden coves. Or you can walk through the town center to enjoy the architecture.

Next on the list is the uninhabited island of Kato Koufonisi, where you’ll have time to explore sea caves and natural pools of blue water. There’s a little tavern on the island but nothing else, so go ahead and jump into the sea for a swim surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty.

There are no cars (and not even bicycles) on this island, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes if you’re up for some hiking. The farther away you are from the pier, the more quiet and less crowded the beaches are, so don’t be afraid to explore.

You’ll depart from the island in the late afternoon, arriving back in Paros by 7:30 pm.

7 – Antiparos and Despotiko

Antiparos and Despotiko boat tours from Paros

Antiparos and Despotiko are two significant islands located just minutes away from Paros. If you don’t want to spend a lot of time on your way to faraway islands, this seven-hour boat trip will get you to these nearby islands so you can spend most of your day just enjoying the water, sand and sun.

Just off the coast of Paros, the island of Antiparos remains largely untouched and off the radar. You won’t find large crowds or wild parties here, but the islands are still lively and filled with great boutiques, fun cafes, and plenty of restaurants facing the sea.

Once you’ve toured the island’s main village, you can also head off to the coast to discover the beaches, crystal-clear waters, and impressive caves.

Uninhabited Despotiko – just 700 meters from Antiparos – is best known for its archeological sites and ancient Greek ruins. Excavations are still ongoing, but the island is open to visitors who manage to catch a boat tour to the island.

Your island tour departs from Paroikia Port at 9:30 am. Make sure to arrive half an hour before so you’ll have time to meet the crew and familiarize yourself with the traditional wooden boat that will be your transportation for the day. Once on board, just sit back and relax as you enjoy the sea breeze on your way to your first stop.

Antiparos, Greece

The tour will take you to several stops famous for their amazing swimming: turquoise waters, secluded spots, and serene waters where you can just lie back and float your stress away. Stops include the quiet Agios Spyridonas beach, the small and wild Faneromeni Beach, and the stunning coastal town of Agios Nikolas.

Snorkeling equipment is available from the crew at any stop. There’s also Wi-Fi on the boat if you want to stay in touch with loved ones or share photos.

You’ll also get to discover the Sea Caves of Antiparos, filled with emerald waters and offering swimming in an intimate setting, and the small cluster of rocky islets that make up Pantheronissia, a small cluster of islets and rocky islets that offer plenty of snorkeling opportunities.

You’ll get to enjoy plenty of ice cream, finger food, fruits and ouzo (an anise-flavored alcoholic aperitif) as you sail between the islands.

Your last stop is Despotiko, where you will enjoy a traditional Parian BBQ lunch including meat or fish (or vegetarian options on request), salads, soft drinks and wine. From there, you’ll head back to your point of departure and arrive by 5 pm.

8 – Amorgos

Amorgos boat tours from Paros

Amorgos is the easternmost island in the Cyclades group. Because of its distance to other major islands, Amorgos doesn’t receive as much tourism as other destinations, so it’s the perfect place if you’re looking for a day away from the crowds.

With over 2,000 permanent residents, Amorgos is actually one of the largest islands in the Cyclades group, so there’s much to see and do here. Much of the island’s authentic character is intact and waiting to be discovered.

Plenty of trails and walking paths zigzag through the island so you can explore for hours, walk through Chora town (filled with old churches and charming alleyways), and discover amazing landmarks like the Hozoviotissa Monastery.

Amorgos tours from Paros

If you just want the freedom of exploring Amorgos and its many attractions on your own, this full-day excursion boat covering the Paros-Amorgos-Paros route would be perfect for you.

After being picked up at your hotel or a nearby location, you’ll be taken to the Piso Livadi port, where you’ll board your boat and be ready to go by 9:15 am. From there, it’s a beautiful 2.5-hour sail around the islands of the South Aegean Sea until you reach Amorgos.

From the moment you reach the port, you’ll be able to see the stunning mountains and endless blue sea all around you. From there, you can walk to beaches like the popular Aghia Anna, Kalotaritissa, and Mouros. Swim, sunbathe or just relax by the coastline before you head into town for a late lunch or some coffee and sweets.

Head back to the port so you can board your boat back to Paros at 5 pm.

9 – Sailing week

Sailing week in Paros

If you have more than just a couple of days in Paros, why not plan the trip of a lifetime and spend an entire week exploring the Cyclades and either Santorini or Mykonos? A week aboard a yacht is an experience you won’t forget.

Start your trip by meeting the experienced, English-speaking captain and hostess crew you’ll be sharing the week with and figuring out what life on a modern yacht is like.

Then you’ll be shown to your accommodations, which include double bed cabin accommodation with a private WC/shower and air-conditioning, linen and towels. The yachts can usually accommodate up to eight guests in four double-bed cabins.

Week-long trips usually include breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks and drinks. Breakfasts consist of traditional Greek food, while lunches are likely to offer a mix of Mediterranean dishes and local specialties made with fresh seasonal ingredients.

Wine and bottled water are also included. Dinner is not included, so you’ll have a chance to try different restaurants at each stop of your trip.

Sailing week in Paros, Greece

Daily schedules usually include at least two stops for swimming and exploring local beaches, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. You’ll be able to borrow snorkeling gear, kayaks, and stand-up paddles from the yacht crew as well.

After your second stop, you’ll dock at a different port every day, with plenty of time to explore and relax before you set sail again the next morning.

Destinations vary depending on what cruise you choose, but you could be spending a day on the lively island of Ios or walk the streets of beautiful Santorini.

You can visit the cliff-perched villages in Folegandros (where the sunsets are majestic as well), Kimolos and its beautiful coves and turquoise waters, and Milos Island, which boasts over 90 different beaches, a natural harbor, and plenty of cafes and shops to indulge yourself.

The sheltered coastline of Sifnos and the azure waters of Antiparos are perfect for swimming, while Irakleia is a popular snorkeling destination that even includes a sunken WWII plane.

Big destinations like Koufonissi, Naxos, and Mykonos are often included in the list of stops as well, so you can enjoy plenty of great local cuisine and entertainment.

10 – Boat rental in Paros

boat rental in Paros

Some of the best boat tours in Paros might be the ones you build yourself! If you can’t find the right tour that fits your schedule or needs, why not look into renting your own boat for the day (or a week!) and create your own itinerary?

With so much to see around Paros, your choices are truly endless. Explore the beautiful Cyclades, head to Santorini and Mykonos for great food and stunning sunsets, or spend some time navigating the hidden coves and golden beaches of the Aegean Sea.

There are lively islands with great nightlife where you can dock for an evening out, but also isolated, uninhabited islands for a quiet day away from the crowds and all the sand and sun you might want.

Even better, boat rentals offer a truly long list of options. From simpler catamarans and basic motorboats to larger houseboats and yachts, there’s plenty to choose from.

rent a boat in Paros

Traveling in a group? Some boats can accommodate as many as 24 guests and offer all the bells and whistles you can hope for, including several bathrooms, spacious indoor and outdoor areas, air conditioning, and even full kitchens.

Smaller yachts are perfect for couples or families hoping for lots of privacy, while catamarans are surprisingly affordable for day trips and even short overnight stays.

You will need a valid boating license to rent a boat on your own, except for boats with a motor smaller than 30hp. Some rental companies might even require a co-skipper (a second person with a license) if you’re renting a large boat.

If you don’t have a license, it’s often possible to rent the boat with a captain so you can just sit back and enjoy the beautiful seas.

A Not-to-Be missed Experience!

What an incredible journey around coastal locations of Paros- places inaccessible by land. The team onboard – Tanya, Athena and Captain Kosta, did a phenomenal job in the organisation and execution of this excursion. Clearly a lot of thought and planning has gone into this experience and that’s what makes it better than the other options. First of all, it takes only a small group- a max of 20-25 passengers; the ship has been renovated with cushioned lounge-type seating; a rectangular table to eat; bathrooms in the lower level; a BBQ to grill lunch; a refrigerator filled with water bottles; beer and wine served during snack time and lunch. The attention to detail by Tanya, who organises the snack and lunch dishes for each passenger, and the fruit platters that follow, shows a passion for the job and is a reflection of the team’s commitment to providing an unforgettable experience.

KAIKI CRUISE AROUND ANTIPAROS & DESPOTIKO (BBQ)

Duration: 7 Hours

One of the famous Paros boat trips is on a traditional fishing boat called Kaiki, specially modified to accommodate people. Departure port is at Aliki village and you will be transferred there. The first stop of the cruise is at Panteronisia, also known as Blue Lagoon. Here, you will have the opportunity to swim in crystal water, at an amazing landscape. Of course, there will be plenty more stops for swimming next to Antiparos and Despotiko Islet. Additionally, you will enjoy a delicious barbeque on board during this daily cruise.

PAROS SUNSET CRUISE

Duration: 2 hours

If you are a fan of sunset view, then this, one of the most unique Paros boat trips will exceed your expectations. Enjoy the view of the sun, disappearing below the horizon of Aegean Sea. Departure point is at Aliki village and you will be heading to Panteronisia initially. This location is also known as Blue Lagoon due to its amazing water. Here, you will enjoy a swim in crystal sea. Afterwards, you will sail towards Faragas Bay. Except of the sunset, you will enjoy refreshing drinks, fresh fruits and light snack. After the sunset, you will return safely to Aliki port.

DAILY CRUISE TO KOUFONISIA (BBQ)

Duration: 9 hours

This is one of Paros daily trips on a traditional kaiki boat, modified to transfer people. Koufonisia is a small Cycladic complex, just south of Naxos Island. Therefore, this cruise is quite interesting and adventurous. Of course, one of the treats is delicious barbeque with local recipes on boat. The cruise starts from Piso Livadi port. Therefore you should know that for your safety, some cruises might have some changes due to weather conditions.

First stop of this cruise will be in a bay on the south coast of Naxos. You will see the chapel of Agios Sostis (St. Savior), which was built by fishermen. According to the story, this bay provided a shelter during stormy weather and saved many ships. Second stop is at Kato Koufonisi. In this spot, you will see impressive rock formation, sculpted by the sea and wind. Afterwards, you will be headed to Glaronisi. Just, after the delicious barbeque, you will set sail to the north side of Kato Koufonisi for another swim directly from kaiki boat. As the cruise was rich in experiences and attractions, you will return to Piso Livadi port.

PRIVATE CRUISE

Duration: Custom

Private cruise is definitely the way to go. Due to customization this is one of the best Paros boat trips you can experience. You can go practically anywhere you want.
The company uses smaller ships to enter narrow channels and secluded harbors that are normally inaccessible. This gets you breathtakingly close to icebergs and glaciers along the untamed coastal landscapes of Alaska’s Inside Passage. The untouched wilderness is home to a rich Tlingit culture, plus plenty of wildlife—from bald eagles to whales. You’ll spend plenty of time onshore, too, during this six-day amazing trip: Hike through temperate forests, kayak in glacier-carved fjords (or cycle along their edges), and launch a raft from an ancient Alaska native village. Adrenaline seekers may choose to go on a flight-seeing tour of Glacier Bay to get an aerial view of the jagged peaks and ice caps. And kids on board may participate in the Global Explorers program, learning about glaciers, whales, and ocean life during fun, hands-on activities with the ship’s naturalists.

Book here

Bucket List Trips: Antarctica Cruises

Adelie Penguins jump off a blue iceberg into the water in Antarctica.

Savvy travelers who have been to many countries likely have Antarctica on their bucket list. It’s a rare opportunity to see an expansive white land only explored by a small percentage of the world’s population. Home to whales, orcas, seals, penguins, and numerous seabirds, a voyage to the earth's last frontier is an indelible one.

With over 30 years of experience traveling in Antarctica, guests can be rest assured that they’ll be well taken care of. On board, you can expect a team of experts to lead the way through educational lectures. Ocean-view staterooms have en-suite bathrooms and are well-appointed. Whether you choose to explore the Falkland Islands, travel through the Ross Sea, or visit Devil Island to see a colony of Adelie penguins, there’s an expedition tailor-made for you.

Bucket List Trips: Arctic Cruises
