Course Tour

Peacefully tucked in and around the hills, a short drive south of fast-paced Silicon Valley, Cinnabar Hills Golf Club blends championship-caliber golf with spectacular views. San Jose's first public course to open in 30 years was designed by award-winning architect John Harbottle III. Each hole has been crafted to maintain the natural slope of the area and to protect the wildlife residing here. Hundreds of old oaks were incorporated into the layout and seedlings from those oaks were nurtured and planted to further enhance the landscape. Inspiring the golf club's logo, red-tail hawks can be seen flying over the course or even perched in a tree. Named for the rich, red ore mined here during the 1800's, Cinnabar Hills offers golfers three distinct nines: the Canyon, the Lake and the Mountain.

The San Jose Woman's Club Landmark historic venue, number 32 on the Historic Register, is the ideal place for your special event. The 1929 California Mission Revival style structure was built for the SJWC and designed by the notable architectural firm of Wolfe & Higgins. It includes many tiled features created by famed ceramicist Albert Solon. The Historic Venue provides in-kind donation of lowered cost rental of the SJWC  to local community and arts groups for fund-raising events, performances and meetings. The Historic Venue is also available for rental to individuals and for-profit organizations.

San Jose Woman’s Club is fortunate to have its landmark historical venue. Over the years, many woman’s clubs sold their historic venues because they could not afford building maintenance. The San Jose Woman’s Club is one of the largest remaining woman’s club structures in Northern California. In the last ten years, many repairs have been made to improve the venue and bring it into the twenty-first century including adding a new electrical transformer, replacement of the kitchen flooring, and the addition of a security system.

The Almaden Cycle Touring Club (ACTC) promotes cycling on the trails, roads, paths, and mountains of the South Bay area of San Francisco and beyond. ACTC is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization which emphasizes the social, recreational, transportation and health aspects of cycling through education, club rides, philanthropy and meetings of members of all ages and levels. Our motto is " Riding for Fitness, Friendship, and Fun ."

The club ride calendar lists several rides every day, so there is usually a ride that will fit your needs. Guests are welcome on club rides and it is easy to make new friends. New members are always welcome. Come join us! We think you'll enjoy the experience. Yearly dues are $25 for an individual, or $30 for a family. My hubby and I decided a year ago when we got married that we would have a one-year anniversary party instead of a wedding reception. They have three main areas that can be used for events. We ended up selecting the patio/museum space and it ended up being perfect for our party of 65+ guests. We were really happy with how everything turned out. We thought it was a nice mix of visually interesting things along with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was very quiet on a Saturday night and parking was not a problem. We and our guests were pleasantly surprised when walking through the doors of the museum, it looked even better than I had remembered. The patio was really great–the space is really nice already as is and then adding some color and tablecloths just dressed it up more. There was room for our DJ and dancing as well. We also received a bonus treat because Danielle was able to arrange garage tours where we could see some cars that were being worked on or restored. Really cool and unique!

We held an ng Connect Program ecosystem meeting on the topic of Automotive and the Internet of Things recently at Club Auto Sport. What a great venue for an event like this! Robert and team did a great job of making sure everything went off without a hitch. The catering was healthy, delicious, and more creative than the standard fare for business lunches. It was also a flexible space, so that we were easily able to move from meeting into a cocktail reception at the end of the day. Thanks Club Auto Sport team!

We held our charity fund raiser at Club Auto Sport. Robert and his team made it easy by taking care of all the details and helping us make all the plans. Our event went off flawlessly and everyone who came loved the venue. They made the city permit, liquor license and police support super easy and cost effective where we had to spend more money and more hassle at past venues we had our event at. We think it’s the best place in Silicon Valley for an event our size (150-200 people)

Club Auto Sport was my Wedding Venue in April 2014. I would have chosen no other place to have my wedding. The staff of Club Auto Sport was able to portray such a beautiful wedding in the correct layout that I dreamed of. Just absolutely GORGEOUS! We also were able to display some vehicles we chose and used the smart lighting that Club Auto Sport offered. Everything went according to plans. The staff members were able to assist in all means possible and I have heard nothing but good comments from my wedding guests. I would definitely recommend anyone to have their party/event/wedding at Club Auto Sport. If I could re-live that day, I would not chose any other venue.

This place is almost beyond description, which means I have to settle for just calling it awesome. Whether or not you like cars, you’ll most certainly find something to spark your interest among the sprawling, endless hallways filled with various vendors and memorabilia.

Witnessing this place for the first time at a Yelp ever was great because I really got to know the whole layout and what it had to offer. I especially enjoy their memorabilia room filled with miniature cars, auto artifacts and autographed goodies from the 49ers.

The best thing to do is see this place for yourself. Book an event here and you won’t be disappointed.

I had to set up a casual holiday work gathering for 170ppl. Googled and found Club Auto Sport. What an awesome place to have a lunch holiday event for 170 engineers.

San Jose, CA – The San Jose Giants, alongside the Rotary Club of San Jose, announced today that they will host San Jose’s premier Independence Celebration on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4. Tickets for both dates are on sale now at sjgiants.com. The festivities begin on July 3

San Jose, CA – The San Jose Giants, alongside the Rotary Club of San Jose, announced today that they will host San Jose’s premier Independence Celebration on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4. Tickets for both dates are on sale now at sjgiants.com .

The festivities begin on July 3 when the Giants take on the Stockton Ports (Oakland A’s Affiliate), with the biggest fireworks show of the season following the final out. Then, on the 4 th of July, Excite Ballpark will play host to San Jose’s Star Spangled Fourth – a ballpark event featuring Country Music Artist Matt Stell and San Jose’s largest Independence Day fireworks show.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with the Rotary Club of San Jose, and its 110-year history of service to the community, to light up the sky above Excite Ballpark to celebrate Independence Day," said Ben Taylor, San Jose Giants General Manager . “Whether you get a ticket inside the stadium or choose to enjoy from just outside the gates, July 3 and 4 are sure to be unforgettable events as we welcome San Jose and the broader Silicon Valley."

First pitch for July 3 is scheduled for 6:30 PM. Various ticket options are available for that evening’s ballgame including a special Tukey Mike’s BBQ Independence Day buffet, VIP group areas and seating throughout the main stadium grandstand.

San Jose’s Star Spangled Fourth will bring a unique twist to the ballpark experience, as families in attendance will be treated to non-baseball entertainment all evening long. Country Music Artist Matt Stell, whose singles “ Prayed for You” and “Everywhere But On” both reached #1 in the US, will kick things off alongside his opening act courtesy of BAY Country 94.5. Immediately following the concert, the community will enjoy San Jose’s premier Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza, presented by the Rotary Club of San Jose.

“We are really excited about the new direction of bringing more fireworks and celebration to Bay Area families. Not just one night, but two, of even bigger pyrotechnic displays that simply were not possible at our previous location. The San Jose Giants are an experienced leader in hospitality that will serve more fans and families in our community, and that’s what Rotary is all about.” said Heather Lerner, President Elect of Rotary San Jose .

On July 4, the Excite Ballpark gates will open at 5 PM for fans to enjoy the full array of food and beverage options at the ballpark before the concert begins at 7 PM. Admission for the event is $25.
