Port Canaveral Cruise Parking Discounts: There’s good news and even better news for Port Canaveral parking customers. The first piece of good news is that parking at Port Canaveral is affordable when compared to most other ports. For example, Port Canaveral costs just $17 per day for cruise parking, while the Port of Miami charges $22 (and up to $28 for some Royal Caribbean cruises) every day. Additionally, individual parking facilities close to the port can charge as little as $10 per day for parking.

The better announcement? Numerous lots in the vicinity provide coupons or discounts that can further reduce that cost. With these offers, you may significantly reduce the cost of your cruise parking, giving you more money to spend on your trip.

While not every lot has a discount, those that do have the potential to be far less expensive. Below is a summary of your choices.

Discounts on Parking at Port Canaveral (Official Port Lots)

It’s a trade-off if you park at the designated port lots. It’s the most practical by far because you can park on the ship and stroll to the terminal. However, it is also the most costly choice. If you are disabled or a disabled veteran, there is a way you can save money.

Discount for Disabled Parking: There is no parking charge if you drive a car equipped with features that make driving easier for people with disabilities, such as controls, ramps, and elevators. This also applies to those who have a Florida Toll Exemption Permit.

Florida Disabled Veteran Discount: Free parking is available in Port Canaveral for individuals having a Florida disabled veteran license plate.

Discounts on Port Parking Spaces

This lot, which is already close to the ships, offers coupons and other promotions to further reduce the lot’s price.

Discount Code: The nearest “off-site” parking lot to the port is Port Parking Space. It has a discount code available right now on its website (find it by looking for the banner across the top). Use this code to save 10% on parking.

Military Discount: To obtain a ticket good for 20% off parking, current and former military personnel must show proof of service to the parking lot. To be eligible, you must present a military ID while checking in.

Discount for Military/Public Service Employees: You are entitled to a 10% discount if you are a member of the armed forces or a public servant (although the word isn’t defined). When booking your reservation online, enter the codes “veteran” or “pserv.”

AAA/AARP Discount: To get 5% off when making a reservation, provide the name of the group you belong to—AAA or AARP—when making reservations. Anyone can join either organization.

Disabled Discount: The parking lot gives people with impairments a 5% discount, although it’s unclear what counts as a disability. When booking, use the code “hcap.”

Port Canaveral Parking Discounts

Quick Sale: When we visited the parking lot’s website, a banner advertising a “Flash Sale” with a 24% discount on ship parking surfaced. But since it seems to expire quickly, you should check it when you’re ready to make a reservation.

The good news is that you still save money because the regular daily pricing appears to be lower when the flash sale isn’t going on.

Many hotels in the Port Canaveral vicinity provide parking options for cruise visitors in addition to standard parking lots. You can park your car while cruising for free or at a significant reduction from the port fee in exchange for a night’s stay.

In any case, the savings on parking won’t outweigh the cost of the room if you don’t intend to stay at a hotel. But it’s a simple way to save on parking if you want to spend the night before in the vicinity.

HOW FAR IS PORT CANAVERAL PARKING FROM THE PORT CANAVERAL CRUISE TERMINAL?

We are located at Exit 49, the second exit off of SR 528 before you get to the Port Canaveral Terminals. Getting to and from your ship with us is a breeze!

WHAT SECURITY DOES PORT CANAVERAL PARKING HAVE?

Don’t spend a minute of your vacation worrying about your vehicle! Our parking lot has 24-hour video surveillance , stadium lighting , and perimeter fencing for  around-the-clock security.

HOW OFTEN DO THE COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLES RUN TO AND FROM THE PORT?

For  returning customers , our shuttles will be ready and waiting for you as soon as you leave your ship. Our shuttles run until everyone is back to their vehicle.

For  departing cruisers , we offer FREE shuttle service that departs promptly at the time you select. (Want to leave within 5 minutes of your check in…simply select your shuttle departure time and make sure you arrive at our facility within enough time to unload and park your vehicle!!)

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Our last shuttle leaves promptly at 1:15 PM .

HOW MANY COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE PASSENGERS ARE INCLUDED WITH MY PARKING RESERVATION?

Each reservation includes free roundtrip shuttle transportation for a maximum of (4) passengers. There is a one-time $20 additional charge for each passenger over the limit of (4).

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

We understand and appreciate the effort associated with traveling during the ever changing “Covid Protocols”.  That is why we provide a Guaranteed Refund if You Do Not Cruise ( excluding a $15 credit card processing fee ).  We only ask that ALL refund requests be submitted via email, no later than 11:59PM on the start date of your reservation.

Port Parking Information

Below is a comprehensive list of parking facilities for cruise departure ports in the United States and Canada. You will find information on parking fees, driving directions, phone numbers and terminal home page links.

Cruise ships set sail from Baltimore’s cruise terminal to locations all around the world. Located in downtown Baltimore the port is just minutes from I-95 and I-70. The Baltimore cruise port features secure parking and stays open year round.

Parking at the Cape Liberty cruise port in Bayonne, New Jersey is operated by SP+ Parking and is located in a secure parking garage. Oversized vehicles can be accommodated for a double charge. General parking fees are $20 per day.

The port of Boston features an open-air lot with plenty of parking for cruise travelers. Parking is $20 per day for ticketed cruise passengers and this lot does not have any height restrictions. Parking at the port of Boston is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Charleston cruise port is located near downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Highway signs will direct you to Union Pier and all general cruise traffic should head to parking gate #2. Parking is $17.00 per day for traditional vehicles (up to 20ft in length) and $40 per day for larger vehicles.

Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale is more than just an amazing cruise port, it’s also one of the most accessible ports for parking during your vacation. The well-illuminated parking lot is patrolled by security around-the-clock and disabled parking is available. Standard parking costs are $15 per day and parking for oversized vehicles is $19 per day.

The Port of Galveston features a no-cash lot with a significant amount of available spaces. Costs are based on length of travel and range from $45 to $100, depending on length of stay. Pre-paid parking is offered at a discounted rate that can be purchased at portgalvestonparking.com .

Those many travelers fly to Hawaii for their cruise adventure, the Harbor Square parking garage offers parking for locals. Parking spots are available for both cars and motorcycles with flat rate deals for the duration of your cruise. The Harbor Square parking garage is just a short walk from the port in Honolulu.

The Bayport Cruise Terminal in Houston offers more than 1,500 parking spots for cruise travelers headed to various destinations. Discounts are available for those parking at Bayport Cruise Terminal who pay in advance and additional discounts for those who are disabled or have spent time in the Armed Forces.

The Port of Jacksonville is a smaller port with limited parking options. Travelers can parking at the port for a daily fee of $7 (for the sandlot) or $15 for the closest parking option. Some travelers may prefer airport parking with a Park EZ Fly shuttle transporting your group to Jacksonville’s port.

The Long Beach Cruise Terminal is a five-story parking garage with more than 1,400 available spaces to accommodate all cruise travelers departing from the Long Beach port. Oversized vehicles are charged by how many parking spaces they occupy during their trip. Cash and credit cards are accepted and payment to the Long Beach Cruise Terminal must be made before your cruise departs.

The Port of Los Angeles has a wide variety of parking options and an abundance of parking spots. Parking rates are $17 per day for a standard vehicle. All vehicles are parked in a secured outside lot with multiple transportation options on-site.

Port of Miami is offers a wide variety of parking spots with disabled and over-sized parking options also available on-site. Parking rates are $20 per day in a secured, well-illuminated lot. Shuttles to the airport and other popular locations are available.

The Mobile, Alabama cruise terminal offers state-of-the-art security in a large facility that accommodates most vehicles for those cruising out of the Mobile port. The parking terminal is located in downtown Mobile near hotels, restaurants and other amenities. Oversize vehicles require an additional fee at the Alabama cruise port.

Port of New Orleans is located just outside of beautiful downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. Parking at the site of the cruise terminals is available for a charge of $20 per day. The port is just minutes from I10 and the French Quarter and serves many major cruise lines.

New York’s Manhattan and Brooklyn Cruise Terminal’s are home to the most spectacular cruise ships at sea. Parking costs are a bit steep at these terminals with charges of $40 per night. Extended parking stays longer than 11 days (max 30) are available for a $400 charge.

The Norfolk, Virginia cruise port is conveniently located less than one mile away from I-264. The parking area is a short shuttle ride from the port and offers 24/7 security to ensure your vehicle will be safe during your cruise vacation. Cash, credit and travelers checks are accepted at the Norfolk port and porters are on site to assist with luggage.

The Philadelphia cruise port is located at Pier 1 in the Philadelphia Naval Business Center. Port parking is a short walk from where the cruise ship passenger loading area is located. The secured parking lot is large enough to accommodate any travelers leaving the Philadelphia port.

Port Canaveral, located on Central Florida’s eastern coast, is one of the busiest ports in the United States. Serving many major cruise lines, this port offers a secure parking lot at a fee of $64 for 3 days. Additional pricing options are available at portcanaveral.com .

The Port of San Diego welcomes cruise ships from around the world year round. Travelers in large groups must apply for a parking permit to lock in a parking spot during their cruise vacation. You can apply for these parking permits at portofsandiego.org .

The Port of San Francisco is just miles from downtown San Francisco, California. There are no pier parking spots at this location. There are, however, several convenient parking options for cruise travelers at Pier 27 and Pier 35.

The Port of Seattle is a lively cruise terminal with all expected options for parking including oversized vehicles. General parking is available for $26 per day and those who book online will receive a $1 discount. Oversized parking is available for $36 per day.

The Port of Tampa Bay prides itself in being more than just a port of departure. This amazing port serves some of the world’s top cruise lines and parking is abundant. A secured, covered parking garage is available for fair hourly and daily rates. Valet parking is also available at Tampa’s cruise port.

Canada Place, the Vancouver port parking facility for cruise travelers, is a secure 750 spot secured parking area just steps from the cruise ships. Discount cruise parking rates are sometimes available for those who pay in advance. Canada Place has parking spots for oversized vehicles for an additional charge to make cruising out of Vancouver as easy as possible.

New Orleans Cruise Parking (Where to Park) Options, Prices, and Map

Parking for a New Orleans cruise doesn’t have to be stressful. Whether you want the convenience of parking at the port or you want to save money by using an outside parking lot, there are options for you.

That said, there aren’t as many cruise parking options in New Orleans as you’ll find in other places like Galveston or Port Canaveral. Still, with official port parking, independent lots, and hotels with cruise parking, you do have choices.

Official Port of New Orleans Parking (Recommended)

For most passengers, best option is to simply use the official port lots. The port offers ample parking for cruisers at both the Erato Street and Julia Street cruise terminals. Parking is located right at the terminal, offering a major convenience. So no matter which cruise line you sail, you can park right near the ship. However, that comes at a cost.

Cruise parking at the port is a flat fee of $25 per day with the total cost depending on the length of the cruise. Cash, credit, and debit cards are taken for payment.

• 4-day parking | $100 
• 5-day parking | $125
• 6-day parking | $150
• 7-day parking | $175
• 8-day parking | $200
• 9-day parking | $225
• 10-day parking | $250
• 14-day parking | $350

The Erato Street Terminal parking is in a parking garage that sits above the terminal. You simply can’t park closer to your ship. No reservations are needed (in fact, you can’t even reserve a spot) and a parking space in guaranteed. The Julia Street Terminal offers parking in an fenced lot just across from the cruise terminal. There is a free shuttle that runs if you need help getting to the ship.

Both of the lots are secured, lighted and patrolled. Oversized vehicle parking (those longer than 22 feet) is not available.

Are you a disabled veteran? If you have documentation of at least 50% disability (VA letter, disabled veteran license plate, etc.) then the port offers free parking for up to 7 days.

Independent Parking Lots

New Orleans Parking If you’re looking for a sharp discount, you might want to try New Orleans Parking. This company has different lots right near the cruise port, including some with very cheap cruise parking rates, especially compared to the official port parking.

In particular, its Cummins Parking Lot is located very close to the terminal and says it offers cruise parking, along with a shuttle to Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian ships.

The Cummins lot costs $17 per day (there is also a $5 service fee and sales tax on top of that.) That’s roughly a third less than parking at the cruise port.

• Distance: 1 block (free shuttle provided for passengers)

Machu Picchu Cruise Ship Parking Located about 1.5 miles (5 minutes) from the New Orleans port, this lot offers an alternative to the official port parking. Parking is secured behind a barbed-wire fence. The lot is somewhat small, so spaces are limited and reservations are required.

There is a free shuttle to and from the port. Parking costs $14 per day. The facility says it is also sheltered to protect your car from the elements.

Hotels With Cruise Parking

As mentioned at the start, New Orleans hotels with cruise parking are also an option. Many of the hotels in the area cater to cruisers. If you want to save the most money and plan to stay in the area the night before your cruise, then New Orleans hotels with park & cruise packages are your best bet.

Questions and Answers About New Orleans Cruise Parking

Do I need a reservation to park? If you are parking at the official cruise lot, then you don’t need a reservation. A parking spot is guaranteed. If you are using an independent lot, then you will want to reserve online ahead ahead of time. This also gives you a chance to pay ahead of time, giving you one less thing to worry about on cruise day.

Is there free parking anywhere for my cruise? The only place we’ve found with free parking is at a number of hotels around the city that offer parking for guests that stay with them before their cruise. Apart from that, you’ll have to pay for your parking during your trip.

We are going on a 14 day cruise on Carnival in Nov 2021. What is the cost to park? Is it just double the 7 day cost, or is it cheaper?

Not many 14-day cruises usually sail from there, so not sure. It’s likely best to assume it’s double the 7-day rate and if it turns out cheaper, then that’s great!

We are going on a cruise and need parking for 2 over sized vehicles. I was thinking of booking with Cummins parking, however I have been unable to locate any reviews with regards to this garage. I have read some awful stories about other garages (over charging, booting their vehicles etc.) and the last thing any one wants is to find their car vandalized, booted, etc. Does anyone have experience with Cummins?

I am a disabled 48 yr old woman taking a cruise with Norwegian. I require a mobility scooter to get around. I will be driving into New Orleans and parking at the port. I will be renting the scooter in New Orleans. Can you tell me where there is a handicapped spot near the Norwegian dock and where I should ask for the scooter to be delivered to me there at the port? I cant walk for any distance at all so your help would be so much appreciated, thank you very much 🙂

Just head to the port and ask the staff working where to park. We aren’t sure exactly where the handicapped space is, but there will be space for those who need it.

Can I continue parking there after my cruise is over? Staying 2 more nights.

Shouldn’t be an issue, but we’d suggest talking to an attendant just to be sure.

Is there a lot or section someone can drop you off and pick you up for a cruise. Also could they just park at a lot to wait for us (of course paying for it) and can we get a shuttle back and forth if we are not parking for the whole week.

Yes, there’s a spot for drop-off and pick-up. Just head to the port and follow the signs.

Are there any lots that takes RVs?

Yes, there is an oversized lot. It costs $40 per day.

If we are on a Norwegian cruise can we choose to park in the cover parking garage even thought it says its for Carnival?

I believe they might check to make sure you are boarding a Carnival ship when you enter the garage. But it’s worth a shot! The worst they can tell you is no.

Fulton Street appears to no longer cater to cruisers. “Fulton Place Parking – Garage Covered (Overnight) THIS OPTION IS NOT FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS. ” “No shuttle for this parking option. This option is for hotel guests/city parking in the area.”

We actually called the lot after seeing the same message. We were told the Fulton Place Garage has several options. There is still cruise parking at the garage. If you click “Reserve” and enter your dates, it will show the options at the garage.

Do you get a discount for handicap parking?

No, there is no discount.

I just checked Fulton street parking and it cost $139.something for a week. WHERE IS THE SAVINGS?

It looks like the rate has risen for cruise season. According to the website “Please note: season rate of $15.00 per day in affect from 01/03/2019 to 05/05/2019.” Along with tax and a $5 service fee, the total price is $122.60 for garage rooftop parking ($134.36 for covered garage parking). That’s not as much savings as it used to be.

fulton street parking was (as of this morning the 24th) $12 for rooftop and $14 for below.
