David Garrett is a renowned violinist and classical crossover artist who has captivated audiences around the world with his virtuosic playing and dynamic performances.

After his successful tour "Alive-my Soundtrack" in 2022 with 32 concerts in 11 countries, David Garrett opens a new chapter with ICONIC.

His new classical album ICONIC has released by Deutsche Grammophon on November 4, 2022. ICONIC is inspired by legendary violinists whose gems and soulful melodies thrilled David Garrett as a child. Music by Bach, Dvořák, Gluck, Kreisler, Mendelssohn and Schumann, to name but a few, can be heard in new arrangements for violin, guitar and orchestra (by Franck van der Heijden and David Garrett). David Garrett will play the program for the first time in a trio together with guitar and bass in concert.

David Garrett’s personal choice of music evokes the golden era of violin virtuosi, when performers such as Zino Francescatti, Arthur Grumiaux, Jascha Heifetz, Fritz Kreisler and Yehudi Menuhin delighted audiences with popular encores and other miniatures. They raise the young musician’s admiration until today. David immersed himself in their timeless recordings as role models and as a result conceived the program ICONIC.

“Unfortunately, many beautiful works from the early days of the great virtuosos have fallen into oblivion,” says David. “That's why it means all the more to me that I now have the opportunity to bring all these beautiful pieces back to life.”

The ICONIC Tour starts in mid-March 2023. With his prodigious talent, electrifying stage presence, and unique blend of musical styles, David Garrett is sure to deliver an unforgettable performance at the Esplanade Theatre on 12th of September 2023. Das neue Album von David Garrett, „ICONIC“, ist inspiriert von jenen legendären Geigern, deren Glanzstücke und gefühlvolle Melodien David Garrett schon als Kind begeisterten. Musik von Bach, Dvořák, Gluck, Kreisler, Mendelssohn und Schumann, um nur einige zu nennen, erklingt in neuen Bearbeitungen für Violine und Gitarre. Dieses wunderbare Projekt geht 2023 nun erstmalig auf Tournee!

Mit seiner individuellen Auswahl von Stücken erinnert David Garrett an das Goldene Zeitalter der Geigenvirtuosen – an Künstler wie Zino Francescatti, Arthur Grumiaux, Jascha Heifetz, Fritz Kreisler und Yehudi Menuhin, die ihn bezauberten. Ihnen und anderen galt die Bewunderung des jungen Musikers, ihnen wollte er es künstlerisch gleichtun und so vertiefte er sich in ihre epochalen Aufnahmen. „Leider spielen seit einigen Jahrzehnten Geiger immer seltener einige der kurzen Stücke, die die Großen der 1920er- und 1930er-Jahre in ihren Konzerten aufgeführt haben, dabei bleiben sie einem sofort im Gedächtnis“, sagt Garrett. „Mir bedeutet es deswegen umso mehr, dass ich nun die Gelegenheit habe, all diese schönen Stücke wieder lebendig werden zu lassen.“ Begleitet wird David Garrett von dem Gitarristen Franck van der Heijden und Rogier van Wegberg am Bass.

David Garrett – das Ausnahmetalent an der Geige

Er erhielt seine erste Geige im Alter von 4 Jahren und hatte Unterricht u.a. bei Zahkar Bron und Ida Haendel. Sein außergewöhnliches, vielseitiges Talent wurde schon früh erkannt: Als Wunderkind gab David Garrett sein Bühnendebüt im Alter von zehn Jahren und wurde mit 13 Jahren der jüngste Künstler, der jemals bei der renommierten Deutschen Grammophon unter Vertrag genommen wurde. Als Kind arbeitete er mit Dirigentenlegenden wie Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado und Yehudi Menuhin zusammen. Im Alter von nur 15 Jahren nahm er alle 24 Capricen von Paganini auf – zweifellos einige der anspruchsvollsten Stücke, die je für Violine geschrieben wurden. Yehudi Menuhin hat ihn sogar als „den größten Geiger seiner Generation“ gepriesen. Genau an diesem Punkt seiner Karriere entschied er sich dafür, seine Fähigkeiten zu verfeinern und zu erweitern und schrieb sich an der weltberühmten Juilliard School in New York ein: Er wurde Schüler von Itzhak Perlman.

Bis heute arbeitet David Garrett mit den außergewöhnlichsten Dirigenten im klassischen Bereich wie Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Riccardo Chailly und Andrés Orozco-Estrada zusammen. In den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten ist er mit vielen der weltweit führenden Orchester und Dirigenten aufgetreten und hat international mit Rockballaden, klassischen Sonaten, solistischen Bravournummern und Filmmusiken ein neues Publikum erreicht. Seine Autobiografie „Wenn ihr wüsstet“ beschreibt seinen mitunter steinigen Weg vom Wunderkind zum erfolgreichen Künstler. Garrett wurde bereits mit 25 Goldenen und 17 Platin-Schallplatten, dem Europäischen Kultur Award, fünf ECHO Klassik und vier ECHO Pop-Trophäen ausgezeichnet, und er hat bislang über 4,5 Millionen Tonträger verkauft.

Das neue Album „Iconic“ als Garretts Herzensprojekt

Garrett ist mit Andrea Bocelli in einem sublimen Arrangement von Schuberts Ave Maria zu hören, mit Itzhak Perlman in Schostakowitschs Praeludium, mit der japanischen Flötistin Cocomi in Debussys „La fille aux cheveux de lin“ und mit dem deutschen Trompeter Till Brönner in Grigoraş Dinicus virtuoser Hora staccato. „Stücke wie diese haben mein musikalisches Denken geprägt“, sagt der Geiger. „Ich habe selbst schon viele virtuose Alben aufgenommen, aber diesmal wollte ich mich aufs Wesentliche konzentrieren, auf das, was zu Herzen geht. Nicht die Virtuosität steht in den Werken auf Iconic im Vordergrund. Sie haben wunderschöne Melodien und bringen dem Hörer näher, was im Leben zählt – Harmonie!“

După numeroase concerte crossover, celebrul violonist David Garrett revine la stilul muzical care l-a consacrat și traversează mapamondul cu un nou concert de muzică clasică, prezentat cu succes pe marile scene internaționale în cadrul turneului „ICONIC Trio TOUR 2023”.

Vineri, 18 august, iubitorii de muzică clasică din țara noastră se vor putea bucura de actuala producție concertistică, în spațiul outdoor al Arenelor Romane din Capitală, începând cu ora 20:00.

Pentru prima dată, David Garrett va concerta în formula de trio, alături de Franck van der Heijden la chitară și Rogier van Wegberg la bas, creând o atmosferă intimă, relaxată și, în același timp, plină de emoție. Concertul „ICONIC” reprezintă un omagiu adus marilor violoniști ai epocii de aur și cuprinde interpretări inegalabile ale unor capodopere muzicale care l-au inspirat pe David Garrett încă din copilărie.

Repertoriul concertului „ICONIC” cuprinde o amplă selecție de compoziții ce aparțin unor nume legendare, precum Franz Schubert, Antonio Vivaldi, Fritz Kreisler, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sau chiar Grigoraș Dinicu.

Timp de două ore, artistul îi va încânta pe cei prezenți cu sunetele magice ale unei viori speciale - Guarneri del Gesù , o bijuterie creată în anul 1734 la Cremona, de lutierul Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarnerius, a cărei valoare a fost estimată la 3,5 milioane de euro.

În număr redus, biletele pentru concertul „ICONIC” pot fi achiziționate online de pe Eventim.ro . În ziua concertului, biletele vor putea fi cumpărate, de asemenea, de la casa de bilete amplasată în zona de acces a publicului în locație. Prețurile biletelor variază în funcție de categoria de loc, după cum urmează: Cat. 4 – 220 lei, Cat. 3 – 300 lei, Cat. 2 – 390 lei, Cat. 1 – 490 lei și VIP – 590 lei.

Din dorința de a le oferi spectatorilor o experiență cât mai plăcută, organizatorul evenimentului, Events by Laishoo vă invită să consultați programul și să respectați o serie de reguli de acces.

Program concert:

· Concertul va începe la ora 20:00 , va avea o pauză de aproximativ 20 de minute și se va încheia în jurul orei 22:30 .

· Pentru a evita aglomerarea zonelor de acces, porțile se vor deschide la ora 18:30 , prin urmare, organizatorii le recomandă participanților să ajungă la Arenele Romane în timp util, astfel încât accesul să se poată desfășura în condiții optime.

· Persoanele care vor opta pentru serviciile de transport BlackCab, în zilele de 18 și 19 august 2023, pot beneficia de 15% reducere prin utilizarea codului „Laishoo”.

Reguli de acces:

· Accesul la concert este permis doar pe baza biletului valid, unei singure persoane, o singură dată. Sunt acceptate biletele emise de agenția de bilete Eventim și vor fi validate prin scanarea acestora la intrare. Prin prezentarea biletelor achiziționate prin intermediul altor agenții de bilete (ex.Viagogo), alta decât agenția autorizată, respectiv Eventim.ro, organizatorul nu garantează cu validarea acestora și asigurarea accesului în locație.

· Este obligatorie păstrarea biletului pe toată durata concertului. În cazul în care anumiți spectatori decid să părăsească incinta sălii de spectacol înainte de încheierea concertului, aceștia vor putea reveni în locație doar dacă își achiziționează un nou bilet.

· În cazul în care spectatorii vor intra în sala de spectacol după începerea concertului, aceștia își vor putea ocupa locurile numai în pauza dintre melodii sau în timpul aplauzelor.

· În incinta locației, va fi amenajată o zonă de baruri cu băuturi/snacks-uri etc.

· În sala de spectacol NU este permis accesul cu: băuturi şi produse alimentare cumpărate din afara perimetrului locaţiei, sticle (inclusiv sticle de parfum de orice cantitate, orice alte sticle sau deodorante), bidoane de plastic, cutii de băutură, conserve, artificii, bannere susţinute de beţe, spray-uri, lasere, scaune, arme, obiecte contondente, lanţuri, umbrele, animale de companie, rucsacuri, căşti de motociclist, bagaje voluminoase mai mari decât o coală A4, selfie stick-uri, aparate foto profesionale.

· Fotografierea/filmarea cu telefonul mobil este permisă în timpul concertului fără a fi utilizat flash-ul.

· Buchetele de flori/cadourile din partea publicului vor fi colectate de către agentul de securitate și îi vor fi înmânate artistului în timpul pauzei sau la finalul concertului.

· Pentru siguranţa publicului şi pentru buna desfăşurare a evenimentului, la momentul accesului în locație participanţii sunt, de asemenea, rugaţi să se supună controlului corporal amănunţit la cererea agenţilor de securitate.

· Minorilor cu vârsta de peste 3 ani li se va permite accesul în incinta sălii doar pe baza unui bilet valid.
