Their service is very bad

Their service is very bad. I cancelled my booking 4 months before and applied for refund and i didn’t get any refund yet. When i email them, they reply very rudely. They are very unprofessional, they should learn how to be professional and know how to deal with customers before even applying for this job.

Never again...

Gaura Travel agents are misleading people when its time to make reservations, then they have no answers to the question asked. using terms like 'maybe' 'try this' are not the proper answers.

Took refund from the airline and kept it

Waiting for my tickets cancellation refund from these guys from before covid in January 2020. It has been 31 months. The form I filled online for ticket cancellation said a refund will be issues in 4-6 months and I called the airline next day to find out why it will take so long. They said your refund has already been issues. Waiting for my refund for almost 3 years now.

Worst after sales service.

Sales and marketing team would sell you the product but after sales support for tickets and booking is the worst. Cancellation fee and date change fee are way too high. Response from agents are unacceptable and they are not well trained.

Be cautious before u book any ticket from this agency.. big liars!! Specially during covid they will keep postponing your flight and let you know at last minute..Don’t book ticket ..highly disappointed with the service.

Stay away from them.

Stay away from them. Biggest liars and frauds I have ever seen. When you are inquiring, they have ample time to deal. They will ring you thousand times for bookings. They guide you over the phone for hours for making bookings but once won't explain anything about after booking services. Once you transfer the payment then real face start coming up. You have to go on our website, we can't help. It's non refundable. It was a deal ticket. $350 for date change and these are Airline charges. And so on...... Very disappointed and lost $3600.

The Worst Experience

I booked two tickets in August 2019, and the flights had been cancelled because of the pandemic. Now, it has been more than two years and I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND. I called Gaura team several times but each and every time I had received an assurance email but nothing else.

Not returned any money for canceled tickets.

Paid money for tickets but I had to cancel flights even before we received the airline tickets. Agreed to pay the cancelation fee. I was told the money will return to my account in 8 weeks. It’s been now 8 months and not even a single penny is returned. I had contacted Gaura Travels multiple times and all the time I am told that they are requesting the airline to return it as urgent. Gaura travel is looting its customers. They took 4000 of me and yet not returned!!!

Most pathetic service I’ve received in…

Most pathetic service I’ve received in recent times. Never book a flight with them as they can’t keep up on their commitments in regards to dates or flights. They will charge you a premium price but fail to confirm the date of travel or they will reschedule the flight. Their customer service is equally awful. I spoke to a lady called Sarmistha who was rude, started screaming at me and threatened to get a refund when I was asking the reason for rescheduling. She put on hold and never came back on the call. Pretty annoyed with them.

Shocking experience

Shocking experience, changing flight dates 3 times, demanding or threatening to secure the ticket immediately. Very unfair and disgraceful service, never expected such poor and pathetic experience from these travellers. Playing with people's money and ruining travel plans last minute is not a joke. No one should book with them!!! Forcing travellers to change the flight dates which are inconvenient for them and forcing them to make decisions on the spot

Never book with this company again , made a mistake by overpaying my airfares with bpay , these stupid people r saying that it’ll b 8/12 weeks before refund ,I can understand if I need the 100% airfares refunded but they r holding that extra money for no reason , it takes two seconds to do a transfer ! Worst experience. Please do not book with Gaura Travels!! You need to follow up 100 times to get your e-ticket and you won't get the seat you request for. It is a pre allocated seat and airlines don't have control on it. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THROUGH GAURA TRAVLES!!

SCAM SCAM BIG SCAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

They are Fraud company and fraud peopleGive your money for charity but don’t waste your money and book your ticket with these people. I booked my ticket a month ago and my in laws are ready to fly in 3 days but still chasing for the tickets. Still we don’t have ticket with us. Biggest lier they are. We ask several times to speak to manager of this company but they refused every single time. They always have excuses. 3 Days to fly but still they can’t plan their travel. I seriously going to take this further.It’s not done.We don’t earn to give our money to these scammers.

Worst exprience ever with booking tickets

We had booked our tickets through Gaura travels early Jan 2022 The flight path was through Malaysia and since flights were going to India ,we were booked through Singapore and Airlanka then to Bnagalore.Our return first week of Feb 2022 did not go thro as well,I do understand circumstance beyond their control,We kept Calling Guara travels 10. days before our departure date enquiring if the flights were going through The same response it was definitely going through We were advised 8 hours before our flight that the return flight was not going.We lost money booking RTPCR tests And cancelled TAXI booking And hotel booking as we had to rebook at a higher price.We eventually returned back to Melbourne through another airlines paying more than business class fare one way.No response from Guara travels.The best is yet to come One of our friends also has similar booking and exact dates of departure ,got a refund of $1000 for the return flight cancelled ny MAL we got $800 less for no reason ,no explanation.After calling everyday to the call Centre im MumbaiWe were assured to fill in our complaint (done this several) time uploaded as per instructions To date no response & we are still awaiting a call from a so called team leader ARNAV promising to call but nothing to this date PLEASE BE WARE OF SCAMMER TRAVEL COMPAn Y CALLED GUARA

Flight cancelled by airline poor service

Our flight to india is on 09th Dec from Mel to Syd to hongkong to mumbai. Flight from Melbourne to Sydney by Cathay pacific got cancelled. Firstly this was not informed by Gaura travels but we found out when we were checking for baggage limit There is only one person in the organiztion who can do date change. I and wife have made multiple calls and dropped email but very few email get responses While calling Gaura, the calls get disconnected and they are unable to call us back after being in call for 15-20 min. The call gets transferred and we need to give reference and reason for call every time to new customer I had agreed options to be taken by Gaura to Cathay pacific 5 days back and gaura has not able to finalize those option with Cathay pacific. Last i check all the option discused are now full. One option that was provided was for me to pay the difference of fare or cancellation fee when the cancellation was done by the Airline (why would customer pay for cancellation of the ticket by airline) No urgency shown by Gaura to resolve my flight cancellation. When we need to book a flight u get prompt followup and multiple followup but nothing when you have to resolve the genuine issue. I am planning to go to VCAT if the issue is not resolved. Abhishek and Ashwini Sonthalia are you looking at bad customer experience and mental torturte this causes to customer. Ihave been with Gaura for last 10 years and this is the service i get

Indian offices, zero customer service, cuts you off and pick another call, and never call back

I am from Melbourne. The agent never says his name clearly as they want to hide their name. They say it so fast that even an Indian will have to ask 5 times to spell it out. In the last 3 years, I decided to book 3 tickets with them two times. The first time a lady from the Kolkata office [I questioned to tell it out] told me she will ring me with 3 quotes in the next 30 min. Never rang me. I booked with SA direct hence. Today, they cut me off while booking return tickets to India. Did not call me back. I called back immediately. Another person said Dev is busy with a new customer. I said I have not finished with Dev. If this time Gaura tells me to stuff up, I will never ever call Gaura and will tell all my friends to back off. The new guy too hung up on me now! Unbelievable. Untrustable. Pathetic service management in 2022. Gaura will not and should not last long. Imagine asking for a refund from them! I heard that Gaura is a tiny office with one or two rookies. It is a SCAAAAM. You have been warned.

Terrible experience! Very unprofessional! Don’t believe a word!

We booked a ticket for my grandad through Gaura Travels from Brisbane to Delhi via Kuala Lumpur with Malindo Airline. We were initially reluctant to book this flight as my grandad suffers from dementia and Parkinson disease; disembarking and boarding multiple flights would take a heavy toll on his body!! However, the agent reassured us that the flight is direct, only stopping at Kuala Lumpur for refuelling, all passengers stay on board. We double, triple checked the information with the agent too! We were extremely disappointed to find out that the flight stopped in Kuala Lumper and all the passengers had to disembark! Even worse was that the flight stopped in Denpasar, Indonesia before landing in Kuala Lumper!! This information was never provided to us on the itinerary!!! We were lied to by the agent, I feel that Gaura travels SCAMMED US!! The Covid situation, lack of flights, visa expiring, most of the passengers did not have a lot of options to fly back to India. We were in a vulnerable situation and Gaura Travels took advantage of the crisis. The agent hurried us by saying that there were limited tickets available, offering a discount code, and of course saying “YES” to all of our requests. The agent offered to increase my grandad’s check-in allowance at a discounted price for peace of mind, it seemed like an ideal option! However, disappointingly, the staff at the airport counter reduced our baggage at the last moment by 10kg!! We paid for 40kg check-in luggage with Gaura travels and we were forced to limit our baggage to 30kg with no lenience!! Terrible management, and unprofessional to say the least!! My grandad thankfully reached Delhi, but it was obvious that he was tired and confused! Gaura Travels made a bad situation worse!! They knew everyone’s position but chose to manipulate us and play with our emotions!! Extremely disappointed, never booking through Gaura Travels again!

They are fraud. Don't put your elderly parents comfort and safety at risk.

I booked flight for my elderly father from Adelaide to Delhi. They gave me quote of Virgin Australia flight from Adelaide to Melbourne and then Singapore Airline from Melbourne to Delhi via Singapore. Nd They charged me for the abovementioned flight and the only reason for choosing the flight was safety, comfort, and shortest route. Two days before the flight I got call form their customer service that “due to lockdown in Melbourne, it is recommended that you travel from Adelaide to Sydney and then from Sydney to Delhi via Colombo with Srilankan Airline”. The travel agent tried his best to convince me that this is the best flight considering the lockdown in Melbourne. When I questioned him how its going to affect my dad’s flight as he is not going out of Melbourne Airport. He then changed his tone and stated, “I will mention in notes that you only want to fly from Melbourne and with Singapore Airline”. Then just less than 24 hours before flight, they changed the Virgin Australia flight from Adelaide to Melbourne without advance notice or consent. Also, the waiting time at Melbourne was increased form 4 hours to 12 Hours. I spoke with then numerous times and explained that my Dad had been operated for throat cancer last year, he has been diagnosed with depression and waiting for longer time in public areas at airport will expose him to COVID-19 infection. It is completely unfair, and Gaura Travel should at least make arrangement for their food and accommodation at airport or provide him the other travel arrangements. But even after tens of calls and email back and forth nothing happened. They failed in their customer services and were completely unhuman and unethical in their dealing with customers. I honestly would request all the Indians in Australia not to trust such dodgy travel agents who put their profits first and claims to uniting families all over the web.

Terrible service, poor processes and systems

UPDATE.................................................................... Gaura reached out to me the day I posted this, asked for details and promised to "escalate". After that, they stopped responding. Anyone checking the review would think it's been resolved. Not so true.. ............................................................................... Booking ID 74671 - MEL-SIN-DEL 20Dec2022 DEL-SIN-MEL 05Jan2023 Gaura Travel changed my return dates (DEL-MEL)due to overbooking. I accepted on the condition that they compensate me. Had heaps of trouble getting connecting flights (which were booked through then) synced. Their overseas number does not work, call centre cannot/will not help, just blame the airlines and do not transfer the call to anyone else. Their complaints team doesn't care or resolve your issue and the "Brand Manager" repeats the same response to every complaint. Now that the trip is complete they refuse to respond about the compensation, don't even acknowledge email or provide info over the phone. Absolutely the worst agency I've interacted with. Will never book through them again. Please don't risk your time, money, and peace of mind with this mob. If you still want to go ahead, be aware of these things (from my experience): -There is no cooling off time or blocking tickets. You have to confirm and pay immediately (while on the phone with them) .e-tickets are issued a week prior to departure. Gaura systems are not in sync with the airlines - actual travel dates may be different - you only know for sure when you get the e-tickets -You cannot make changes to parts of your journey. Have to cancel the full trip (to and return) even if you wish to change only one leg for one passenger. - domestic travel could be a separate booking. Changes are made to the international sector (even by agency), may not reflect on the domestic trip. Took me 8 calls to get it corrected (DEL-MEL day before BOM-DEL) - Local number in India does not work. While in India, have to call Australia to speak to them - Promises to call back are just promises most of the time - The airlines will not deal with you and will point you back to the agent

They have no office in Australia. All they have is a call centre at 11 th floor , Infinity Towers, Sector V , Saltlake, Kolkata, India. The agents are paid $200-$300 per month making them work for 6 days a week. They scam people.

Harassment and biggest shame

The worst service , it's a big fraud and conspiracy . They show lower prices and assure you give best service but the moment u pay 5 % they change prices and ask u to pay higher price and demand rebooking which means extra 5 % Money. Call transfer keep happening bw people and none is reliable. They gave serious harassment after we gave full money to them and no tickets issued insteqd they said book again and pay extra charged plus booking fees. I don't know what ll I do but this is first time this emotional and financial stress that made my trip like worst trip already before starting , I feel foolish myself that people left similar reviews still I went with them even I called 5 more agents I found the price initially very competitive . So don't fall on same trap like me. Don't go with them ,let this company fall apart, and go bank crupt as all the money they made is through mistrust and fraud .

GDEAL is a rip-off

GDEAL is a rip-off, AVOID this agent They advised me to book under Gdeal, I did and paid $899, but the price they show or advertise don't exist. My travel plan changed told them to cancel booking, they refused the refund, later when argued and sent follow-up emails another email came advising they will deduct $450 cancellation fee which is airlines fee and the refund will take 5 months or more, I contacted the airlines about the booking they advised in email there is no request of booking under my name. This business is using our money and ripping off clients in the name of airlines.

Scammer - Don't accept Credit Card

I booked my wife and my daughter's tickets two days back and paid 5% via credit card / debit card then I tried to pay rest of 95% using credit card / debit card then they told me Gaura Travel can't accept this payment method!!! Generally scammers don't accept credit card because for all the frauds bank refunds full money!! Beware of Gaura Travel!!!

The company should close, if one person had injured bad and in hospital on the day of travel ,submit medical document even they said cannot refund money. Ticket cost was $7000. Medical reason had avoided by them can they tell why? During covid time all airlines refunded money exept them.please don't book with them.

Unprofessional, lying, don’t reveal all information and make excuses all the time.

Gaura travel customer service is really worse than bad. I booked my father’s ticket with Shelton in deals. He did not explain anything about when will they issue the ticket. I booked on 9th November Delhi to Mel on 17th November. I am still waiting for the ticket calling every time and the customer service says you will get it by the end of the day. Customer service guys are not professional they talk like robots not human even robots says thanks and sorry. When I said I want to talk to your manger then he suddenly transfer my call to another person. Without even asking me. I am waiting for the ticket all the payment has been paid and still unsure about the flight is it confirmed or not. They said it’s depend on the flight seriously ridiculous. Don’t sell tickets on deals if u don’t take any responsibility. I will not book with flight my Gaura travels in the future too much headache.

Cheats lacking transparency

They don't reveal the full details and withhold the information. When I booked the tickets, I was told the ticket was fully refundable and the amount I paid was the same as on the website of the airline which was also fully refundable. I had to cancel the ticket, no one were able to provide any information and I was told to go through a process of registering online and requesting a refund. In all my booking with the airlines, there is always details on the cancellation charges, date changes etc. These people don't reveal the information and they charge the amount as they wish. Never ever book with these cheats. They are doing a disservice to the community and I hope they are caught soon. Having read others feedback, I wonder how they still exist (by cheating poor customers).

DO NOT TRUST 3 major incidents of randomly changing fees after all is finalized. No response from Management. the quoted fee per ticket was upped by $200 costing me extra $800 the staff were scared management would cut their pay. The Australian management must be unethical. change fee was randomly changed from 280 to 340 no explanation. The re book ticket fare was $500 more in just 40 hours. I found the same ticket for $500 less on another site and booked it there.

A trip to Moscow

I don't really see the point of shunning a country because you don't agree with its leader and/or its government. Would you go to Italy? China? Tourist dollars are more likely to get into the hands of the people rather than any corrupt bureaucracy and meeting friendly tourists might just change the locals opinions of foreigners and even give them some information they don't get from local news media.

Hopefully , I won't be starting a war here , but I must say I agree with Chani's comments . Having taken three year visas in 2015 , we have been to Moscow and St; Petersburg ( once to Moscow , and twice to St Petersburg ) . The History , Art , Music ( I am a classically trained musician ) and Culture , fascinate us . And while leaders of such countries can point to foreign visitor numbers as a sign of support ? I also believe that personal safety for certain travellers, especially obvious minorities, cannot be guaranteed, as fervent nationalism increases, and tolerance levels evaporate. Just as I may decide against a purchase at the supermarket because of a company’s behaviour, ethics will always be a consideration.

Well, I'd argue supermarket ethics does not readily translate to travel ethics - the latter is far more complex. Personally, I see the whole "vote with my hard-earned travel dollar" approach as overly simplistic, but if it's your position - I totally respect it.

What I don't understand is members volunteering ethical guidance in response to what seems an innocuous request for travel-related information.

I appreciate Rick Steves' point of view in his "Travel As A Political Act". That said, Putin's Russia is not a place I would support. But, to each his or her own....

From a practical point of view, travel between the two countries can be difficult. I understand the Russians who traveled in the US this past winter had to go to the US Embassy in the country of Georgia to get visas because the Russians expelled American embassy personnel. We have traveled to Moscow and St. Petersburg over the past few years. As in the US, most of the people we encountered helpful and not particularly political. In Moscow, we stayed at The Garden Ring Hotel which was a close walk to the metro. The hotel was very comfortable and quiet for being in the city. We loved the art museums and the Georgian restaurants. In St. Petersburg, we stayed at both The 3Mosta hotel near the Hermitage and the Art Hotel Demetra.. In St. Petersburg, we especially liked the Hermitage and Russian museum. Learning the Cyrillic alphabet and having a good map is a must.

Either read a good travel book or book a guide who can personally take you to the best places that interest you and tell about the sights you're seeing. We used Dan Petrov on 2 different trips to Moscow and found him to be wonderfully friendly and witty not to mention super knowledgeable.

Latest advice, Australian Governmemt, 1 April 2018. “Due to heightened political tensions, you should be aware of the possibility of anti-Western sentiment or harassment. While the Australian Government is not aware of any increased difficulties for Australians travelling in Russia at this time, you should follow the security and political situation closely and keep up to date with this travel advice. Remain vigilant, avoid any protests or demonstrations and avoid commenting publicly on political developments.”

We very much enjoyed our group trip to Moscow and St Petersburg last year. excellent guides and accommodations. While Steven who has replied here has excellent advice, ( and we took advantage of it), we felt an organized tour really facilitated our enjoyment of the country. You may want to consider a combination of an organized tour and than adding independent days . Some of the Australians on the tour had arrived a couple of days earlier than the tour stated and then some stayed later. If we were to go again (which I would), that"s how I would do it. And I must say , it was enlightening to have conversations with the Russian tour guides and the non Americans about the current world situation. Not that we went into any great depth, but I think we all went away with a little more understanding. Top places: allow lots of time in St Petersburg at the Hermitage- take a separate day for the Impressionist building. In Moscow, the Russian Art Museum was amazing.

Solid advice from Australian government quoted above, especially the keeping up to date part.

I checked the current version (Sep 18) of that advisory - and it hasn't been updated much. In fact, some sections don't seem to have changed since 2005 - their recommendations for importing/exporting currency and financial instruments, for example, are at least five years behind.

I do like reading governmental travel advisories for entertainment purposes - for instance, up until very recently the US one sternly advised potential travelers that Moscow was largely a cash-based economy (couldn't be further from the truth) and warned about intrinsic dangers of gypsy cabs (which had all but disappeared by 2015).

Few questions for both Moscow and St. Petersburg:

1 - how safe is it for a non-western woman traveller to explore the city by day if not joining tour group?

2 - what is the safest public transport to take by day?

3 - is there a list of local tour groups someone can recommend that are reliable and reasonably price?

4 - both cities must be very beautiful and full of amazing architecture and history and really worth to spend at least some days but all I hear is...be very careful...it is Russia. I don't want to be put of by this but just need to know how unsafe is it for a non western looking tourist to walk around the city by day even if take the standard pre-cautionary measures of be alert, be attentive to your belongings, etc....

Any additional tips anyone can share would be appreciated.

Forget all that talking to you. Stay in Russia is quite safe.

Please beware of Gaura travel agency !! it's a big fraud company.

Gaura travel agency is a fraud and scam company. Travel agents working over there are so dodgy. Worst experience and poor service. Please read all the reviews on the Trustpilot (au.trustpilot.com) and other reviews on social media. Please don't attract to some of the paid reviews on the Google. Please do your own research and check with your close known friends who used their services earlier and decide if you really want to consider Gaura travels. Don't attract price instantly and do your own research in all aspects and decide. I found if you’re using Gaura travels that means you are risking your trip for sure. If you don't have travel insurance, it's even more complicated. The reason is you don't know you trip is confirmed before 10hrs and you will not have ticket until 10hrs before. I wish I had read the reviews on here before I booked the ticket with them with Charted flight. It's worst experience and dodgy company. The flight condition is pathetic. They used scoot flight as a charted flight. I can’t express my frustration with charted flight journey. I checked with other who were there in same flight from India to Sydney around 45 folks and all of them said same thing and expressed their frustration. Experience is worst. Some of them received ticket 8hrs before actual boarding time. Please imagine you need to travel and you don't have a confirmed ticket. The worst thing is you don't even know the actual travel plan and in last minute they will decide the route of the trip. It's so dodgy company and service staff are pathetic. Especially, think this COVID times you need to do declaration source and destination Airports/countries and without having proper flight details and route map then we can't proceed with declarations. Another thing is COVID PCR generally recommends prior to 72 hrs as per Airline’s guidelines but Gaura travel staff asked me to book just before 24 hrs of the actual flight so that if there are any lay over in other countries PCR test is valid. My trip was delayed in Colombo for no reason around 14 hrs and I have a take Srilanka visa ($35 USD) on my own to be able to fly with Gaura travel. I felt so sorry for some family with kids and their struggles with journey and flight booking. Finally, if you ask for refunds then that's it and you will never get it. I am planning to report them to ACCC and Fair work ombudsman over for their fraud services. If anyone is interested, then please join together and report the same. Another thing is they will not send the ticket price invoice on the email, and it will over phone we need to transfer the full amount to their bank account. They will not issue invoice with details of the pricing also. It would be appreciated if you book a ticket with direct airlines rather than these sort of dodgy travel companies. Some reasons I haven't done enough research prior to my booking due to my personal circumstances. However, I would definitely not recommend anyone Guara travels for their travel booking.

Never book with them!!

Never book with them!!! Bloody frauds!! This travel agent just wants to fool people and loot them. I had such a horrible experience. I had booked my flight from Melbourne to Ahmedabad for 18th of dec for economy plus with luggage allowance of 40 kgs. Later I got a call from them saying you can upgrade to business class and I did that as sounded a good deal to me. The whole upgrading process was done on the call. I asked the lady on the phone to give me the details and I would transfer the amount. She said I need to pay while I’m on the call I said okay. After that I asked about the luggage allowance till Ahmedabad and she goes, “your business class is only till Delhi” so asked that’s fine but what about my luggage?? And she said ohh you won’t get 50 kg till Ahmedabad you’ll have to pay. They should have informed this first rather than just worrying about the money and payment. Completely misguided me and all they were concerned about is money. Later I made peace with it. After Sometime I called them again and asked about how many pieces of bags I can carry and divide them into 50 kgs. They said only 2 pieces. So if I’m carrying 40 kgs it’s 2 pieces and if I’m carrying 50 kgs still 2 pieces. This doesn’t make sense at all. Moreover, these details were never mentioned in itineraries when you book online. I’ll attach the screenshot here. When I called them again and again to know what’s going on or what I can do about the situation they said email us and wait for the reply. I had my fight in less then 8 hours and they wanted me to wait for their reply which apparently hasn’t come yet. They said they’ll be calling to back assisting me and I do not need to worry, they said they have taken down details and my query and forwarded it to the authority. Never heard back from anyone!!! Therefore, pathetic travel agent, horrible service, disgusting staff, & no moral or business ethics. Fooling people! Once they got the money they do not care about their customers. They were being nice and good only until I paid.

SCAMMER GIVE MISLEADING INFORMATION Do not Recommend to any one. Booked Airline ticket through Gaura Travel on Sunday 28th of May From Melbourne to Ahmedabad . Agent Name Aryan call me on Sunday 28/5 He find whatever first deal he advice Air India has the best deal for you from Melbourne to Ahmedabad via Delhi. Prior to booking asked about Air India. I was concern because I am travelling alone with my two Kids. Me and my spouse continue asked him about Air India flight Do I have to do self check in with all luggage as Delhi is the Domestic Airport ? He Replied me no Mam, " when you departure from Melbourne during check in just inform the staff you want to receive your luggage direct at Ahmedabad Airport. After asking same questions serval times his Reply was same. So, I believe on his wording and Decided to book my ticket. He asked me 5% from credit card and Rest of balance I have to transfer using B Pay or BSB within an hour otherwise I loose my ticket and my 5% Balance too. which was really strange and suspicious but I thought that's okay. Neither he explain me any company policy of cancellation charge or anything. I received My ticket on Monday. In My Surprise I was discussing same afternoon My with my friend and I Find out that Air India has the rules we have to do full check in with luggage at Delhi Airport. My safe side I called Air India to find it out which makes me completely shatter. they advice me we have to do self check in with luggage at Delhi Airport. she explain me an hour and half is not enough time for me to check in. I explained her everything she said if you cancelled your ticket within 24hour we will do full refund and you will receive that in 21 days in your account..so I asked them they advice go to your travel agent because it is booked by third party so we can not refund you direct. They said your agent mislead you and give you false information. asked them to change your flight or refund you. As per Air India Advice, I called their 24/7 service Team. straight after They said we don't have any knowledge regarding change airline or refund go to the Gaura Travel portal and ask them to solve your query they will answer you back within half an hour but this is all crap no one replied. I called serval time then finally I received call Monday night from one of the staff I explained her all situation and my concern request her to change my air line due to I was mislead by your Team, she advice me We can not change your airline if you wish cancelled the existing booking and go for new booking with us. so, I asked her are you gonna do that from my same fund. in my surprise she said will receive your refund after 6months not guarantee. if you wish you can pay 5% now book another flight with us. This is FRAUD. I Explain her Airline Rules She told me this is not My department. Advice Me go to the portal and select the complain department they are available 24/7 they will answer you within an hour time Frame which is Completely LIE. I did not received any call. next morning, I called again serval times to customer care so many time every time different agent answered and replied we understand your concern but we don't anyone available from support team. I asked them to transfer to complaint department or Aryan Who originally Mislead me and booked My ticket. Finally Aryan called me back on Tuesday .I asked him why did you mislead me regarding Airport check in rules. still his reply was Same no Mam " when you departure from Melbourne during check in just inform the staff you want to receive your luggage direct at Ahmedabad Airport." ridicules I said I checked with Air India Body. Asked agent to transfer who ever at Customer care department holding call for an hour no reply. After so long I received call from complain department agent Supriya I explained her everything. She told me she said give me some time I will investigate and come with some resolution. Guess what she replied same information which Air India customer care already provide me and covering up agent he gave me all information about cancellation charge and everything. Also, she said I will provide you all recording if you wish. In reply I Requested for recording. Did not heard back anything until I called next day to 24/7. Agent call back me and asking me what was your complain ????means she was not interested to listen me day before. I Repeated everything again your agent Mislead me regarding Airline check in rules which was my concern before booking ticket. If he explain me everything I would look for another option. I told her to refund my 100% as mislead the consumer that is breach of contract. I need my Refund. Agent told me she will get back an hour time. still while I am writing this review not received any reply. I will go to further ATAS.

Pathetic services

Pathetic services. For the first time I tried to use the services of 'GAURA TRAVELS or for that matter a travel agent, as I normally book my own tickets online. I got the recommendation from my friends that they have the best prices. They didn't give me any extraordinary prices but just matched the price with the online price as they were quoting me a higher price than what I was getting online. I was asked for a 5% deposit to create the booking. Once I did the same I was asked to pay the balance amount. I transferred the balance amount immediately and sent the proof of payment to the email id given to me by the agent. Very next day the agent calls me and tells me that they have not received the amount nor they have received the email with the proof of payment. I immediately forwarded him the same email along with other proof of payment that is the email received from the bank itself stating that the payment has been submitted. The agent confirmed receiving the email but said payment has not been received. I told him that the normal transaction period of any bank is 2-3 business days to reflect the payment. He then said that as the payment has not been received they cannot hold the booking with airlines and they have cancelled the booking. He then told me to pay another 5% of the amount to create another booking, which will be refunded. I refused to pay another 5% as I had already paid them the 100% amount. I asked him to process the refund for the amount as this is not the service which was expected from them. He told me a process to follow for the refund by filling up the refund form online, which I did. The very next day I received a message from the refund team stating that "Please note that we are sending your details to the relevant team to further check regarding your refund request. Please be informed that as the booking was cancelled before the balance amount was credited, the refund will be only done for the balance amount as the initial deposit amount was already utilised to create the booking. However, note that the refund of any liable amount may take up to 6 - 8 weeks to get processed." They cannot hold the booking for the customer for 2-3 days but will refund the amount in 6-8 weeks. If the amount is not credited in their account in 24hrs they will cancel the booking and will ask for more money to create and hold the booking. After that they will also not refund the 100% amount as the booking was cancelled before they received the amount, whereas actually the booking was not cancelled by the customer but by them or their airline only. What is the use of this kind of agent who doesn't have that kind of relationship with the operators, who can hold the bookings for their customers (in this case the travel agent is the customer of the airlines)? What these agents are getting commissions for? Giving this kind of customer service? After providing all the proof of payment also they were not able to give any solution until and unless I pay them another 5% of the amount to create another booking?  To my surprise, after this I received the call from the sales team stating that your e-ticket has been issued as we have received the amount. I just asked them if the booking was cancelled yesterday itself by the airlines then how come they have issued the ticket today? The agent didn't have any explanation for my question, he only said that I just gave you the information that I received yesterday. I clearly told them that I have already got my ticket booked from somewhere else and I need a 100% refund.  While I am writing this review, I have still not received any other reply to my message which I had written to them on the above message received.

I booked the qatar airways flight with gaura travels and because i tested positive for covid i had to cancel the flight 5 hours prior, but when i called them and told my situation they said the flight was non refundable but when i called the airline they said the flight is totally refundable and it is clearly mentioned on their website, i booed for 1500 and now they says the cancellation fees is 940 dollars and they will proceed the refund in 5 months, this was my worst experience and i would never ever suggest anyone to choose them as your travel consultant they eat peoples money they don not deserve to be choosen for any travel consultancy.
